shaking like a rabid chihuahua in anticipation for the new sao movie bc it's takin things from the top but from the reboot/rewrite of the first novel where side characters get more development & kirito n asuna actually get more time together to get to know each other. for all the eugh that's in the original & that got added in the anime, there is So much good & So much potential in there & i was, alas, hooked on this shit from the 2nd episode of s1 so. im making it everyone else's problem.

#💖#BARKING N HOWLING BC IT'LL BE SHOWIN IN (at least one) LOCAL THEATERS & IM CHEWING ON MY ARM #cant wait to get stabbed thru the heart all over again #siiiigh off i go to find all the novels again i guess #around the time i got into sao i was on mega minecraft brainrot & was writing things for an oc In the minecraft universe #so i was super into anything that looked at ways to overlay the mechanics of a videogame with Reality(tm)#& vrmmo things fell Perfectly into the inspo that i was looking for #dude when i got to the alicisation arc i literally started yelling at my screen bc that's lichrally just how i imagined my oc's life #integration of game-mechanics as ''spells'' & everything #sao was made For Me actually #i also do like a thing that was mentioned in i believe the gun gale novel about how the vr helmets scan the player's brain for avatar ref #so if a player lets the game autogenerate an avatar the helmet's ai will take the player's self-perception of their gender into account #so afab players can get male avatars & vice versa #jury's out on how that'd look with nonbinary players but thatd potentially just be a presentational thing (femme/masc/androgynous)#i rattle the sao universe i care you so much sorry youve got extremely questionable choices sprinkled in there #sao
