a fascinating type of tumblr user is the queer leftist who reblogs terfs getting hashtag epically destroyed w the very rhetoric that they should be against as a queer leftist
#irinachernenko.txt#it’s the performative solidarity to ease their own consciousness with the shallowest engagement#no ability to read and interpret things on their own. the person who gets the last word and says it snappy is always right#i truly truly think the movement to ‘deplatform’ terfs on this site hurt the wider queer community#cuz like. they’re not deplatformed. they’re still fuckin here#y’all just refused to try to understand their ideology in order to undermine it#resulting in widespread misinformation abt what the terf population on tumblr acc believes#so when there is an interaction btwn these queer leftists and terfs y’all try to undermine them in ways that r completely inaccurate#and ineffective#and it’s often just insults and snide remarks no actual argument against what the terf is saying#‘oh if u argue against them u give them legitimacy’ maybe. i can see that side of it for sure#but w ideologies like this that are so insidious#u need to have the critical thinking skills to unpack their beliefs and then pick apart that logic to realize that it’s bullshit#i promise it will make u a better feminist and trans ally
