━♡ guess the 23 YEAR OLD FEBRUARY baby just arrived to dallyeog! it makes sense, because CHU EUNHA is just as BEDAZZLING as the month of FEBRUARY. wait, why do they remind me of JACOB BAE? beyond that, they seemed JOYOUS and SAVVY upon first glance. i heard someone say they’re sort of DELICATE and QUIXOTIC though. i hope they get acquainted here in COMPLEX 1 / APARTMENT 0215 / FLOOR 3 ; HE seem(s) to have a lot going on with HIS job as a PATISSERIE OWNER/NUTRITIONAL SCIENCE STUDENT. ( ez, 21, she/they, gmt. )
well hey there !! im ez but you fellow dallyeogers can call me ezzy, i have been in dallyeog before so some may remember me as having someone v different to my new bb i bring u now, i joined before with miss tam carmen !! anygays i return with this lil angel who i am all ‘ i say that’s my baby and i’m proud ’ over already even tho i literally came up with him like two days ago. you can find his pinboard here ( which btw i fuckeN love like he’s so aesthetic to me u go king ) and i made him a lil playlist which u can vibe to here. you can learn more about him under the cut but he’s a super soft-hearted gentle dove of a muse and quite...simple for me ?? sdhdh that’s not the right wording but U GET IT djjflg he isn’t super full of angst or trauma he’s just kinda viBIN livin his best life so that’s fun !! but ye without further ado:
so as u kno from his app he owns a patisserie, it’s his lil babey and he is very dedicated to his craft and makin sure all his ideas for the place and the baked goods he sells are like rlly quirky and avant-garde. like he is so passionate about it u dont even KNOW, he tries to make sure most of the stuff on his menu is something like fun and new u wouldn’t get at just any old patisserie or cafe and that it’s super varied and also kinda aesthetic af? the place is very like trendy. it’s called patisserie d’elysian cause ya know he’s an extra biTCHH and proud.
he has three pupperino’s. all as adorable as each other, snickerdoodle is his golden lab and often ppl shorten it down to snickers, butterscotch is his dapple daschund pup, shortens the name to scotchie often. toulouse is his fancy toy poodle boi, shortens the name down as toto. if u are on the shortened name basis with his pups then u can consider urself one of his close pals.
he’s actually adopted by his aunt but she raised him like she was his mother so that is what he considers her, she’s on his mother’s side but they are half-siblings. in terms of first name reasoning as well she just liked eunha as a name and didn’t even think about how it is traditionally for a female, she liked that it meant gift from heaven so it stuck. his father is still around, he’s just quite elderly so it felt like a better living situation for him to be raised primarily by his auntie. unfortunately his mother has passed on but no tragic story, she just went peacefully in old age.
he dyes his hair quite often, it’s currently like a really pastel blue with black streaks consistently throughout like lil ones so it looks super cool. but he’s also had it be a more electric blue, lilac, and a duck egg kinda faded silvery blue. it’s naturally dark brunette. has brown eyes kind of a hazel hue.
his style is kinda androgynous ig?? he just lives for soft retro fashion, lots of color in his wardrobe but also lots of tapered short and t-shirt fits frequented, sweater vests, rolled up jeans, high skater boi socks, soft jumpers with shirts, shirts in bright colours or satiny texture worn over plain white t-shirts, cardigans, pastel denim jackets, jeans with printed patterns on like clouds, flowers etc, favors yellow and blues. sometimes does eye makeup, occasionally wears heels bc he’s a baddie or super heeled boots/chunky shoes.
obsessed with music, can play violin and guitar. he’s a big mitski and rina sawayama fanatic, likes anything that sounds peaceful or calming or has like a good fun vibe to it. also likes the trademark gay icons like carly rae jepsen, lorde, etc. he’s not ashamed. obsessed with mamma mia movies. but also likes rap which is rlly funny cause its like the bad bitch female rappers only and like he’ll listen to it while arranging his sock drawer or making his bed or something ajdjdj it’s like hype anthems for being a baddie and a hoe and he’s just doing his night sleepy routine adkfkf.
showers, blankets, music, baked goods especially bagels are his happy places.
very much a sensitive lil romanticist, falls in ‘love’ like five times a day, he just likes to giggle and smile around pretty people and admire the artwork hnghdh, he’s like yeARNS though ya know?? like he’s all i will flirt by making prolonged eye contact, i made you a playlist, this song makes me think of you etc. it’s either memes as flirting with him or elaborate love letters u never know what ur gonna get akdkd.
awful sense of humour, loves his friends more than anything on earth except his pups, would fully live in a huge house of just like his pups and all his closest buds for all eternity. likes fruits way too much, enjoys puns about fruits way too much. milkshakes, sushi, orange hues and bus rides are some of his absolute favorite simple pleasures of life. clouds, flowers, salt lamps, the sunrise over the sea, skateboarding, fresh soda, teddy bears, busy street markets, parasols, fish tanks with exotic fish, sorbet, bike riding, polaroids, record players, rain at night against floor to ceiling windows with a fresh steaming pot of tea on the desk beside it and warm fresh sheets from the laundry on his bed, ponds, skateboarding. all little joys in life that give him like the biggest pleasure dopamine hit in the world.
his cousin actually owns a florists so he has flowers just littering his apartment like a lot and it just looks like he has ten million suitors from the late eighteenth century attempting to court him but no all these flowers are from him to him or worse from his aunt djfjg she sends him some for valentines every valentines, pls help him, pls send him flowers.
studies nutritional science and he fucken hates it. do not ask him shit cause he doesn’t KNOW OKAY? he doesn’t understand it either. he took it because he needed something to go alongside the passion for baking that was a real ‘qualification’/job so that is the only reason he’s doing it. no point doing a baking degree after all when he’s already a baker with a business, he’s super young still he gotta keep his prospects open. so YAH. he’d rather be doing culinary arts but eh. nutritional science sounded better and more logic based. the real miracle is he still gets top grades all the time even tho he spends his life like wtf am i even doing is this even legit akdkdk. school is the worst thing in the world for him watch his mood instantly deflate the second its brought up.
despite being a quixotic, he’s a lil afraid of intimacy. like oh god does he love it, those small touches and acts of affection u kno? the subtle things that normally go unnoticed, eye contact, brushing of hands, linking of little fingers, rubbing a thumb, kissing eyelids or foreheads or palms or shoulders in little gentle pecks, back massages and rubs or finger tracing patterns absent-minded, shoulder massages, laying your head on someone’s shoulder or on their lap, knocking knees together, exchanging a small glance only the two of you get before bursting into laughter, smiling into kisses, napping together, having blankets placed over you warm and fresh, or towels put ready like it, someone making you something they know you like a lot. that’s his sHIT. but like he’s terrified still, someone skimming their fingers on his skin makes his breath hitch like he’s a scandalized and alarmingly aroused victorian woman sjdjd. he’s literally still a virgin, he hasn’t even had his first kiss okay my baby is delicate be gentle with him akdkd but he still LIKES PASSION AIGHT kfkf.
real soft spoken, honey tinted voice like i shit u not this boy talks like he’s an angel sent from heavens above to guide you to the paradisaical garden of eden or some shit akdkd. ur gonna fall in love with eunha’s voice before u even fall in love with any other part of him like his adorable beaming smile or stunning eyes akdkf.
has dance parties around his room when getting ready in the morning, listens to bella’s lullaby unironically yes from twilight yes u heard right, bit of a himbo streak sometimes in his obliviousness djfjf. quite silently subtly funny actually much like jacob himself.
he is gay, afraid of driving, cannot do math, blanks out often and he is valid for all of those things. has a collection of cartoon and disney animal movie dvds. has a dream notebook. always has blue painted nails in some kinda shade.
does not enjoy turning in assignments bc he is scared he’ll fail, avoids looking at his grades for weeks after they’re released and hates knowing that they’re out.
cannot dance, dances often. collects vintage stuff esp clothes and mostly sweaters. likes midnight trips to corner stores and fields where he can just lay and look at the stars. makes friends rlly easily but has super bad performance anxiety. cannot ever have a messy room like even the tiniest bit messy. even like clothes being stacked on a chair instead of away.
bakes peanut butter, banana and choc chip muffins (they r called monkey bites normally) whenever he’s super stressed. if u want to cheer him up when he’s anxious or stressed then u should give him french lavender honey, chia seeds and caramelized pear on toast/bagel. it is his comfort food. he fancii when he needs a pick me up. treat urself and all that.
#dallyeog:intro#i'm literally in love with him he's the softest most goodest boi muse i have ever made and i just#im that meme of the samari sword guy with the cat in his arms akfkfk#IVE ONLY HAD EUNHA FOR TWO DAYS BUT IF ANYONE HURTS HIM I WILL KILL THEM AND THEN MYSELF AKKDK

tysm for the questions!! this got…real long.
1. Write from the perspective of an outsider of your lair, what is their first impression? How have they discovered this group? How are they greeted?
The young spiral twirled around her companion, twisting among the towering reeds. The skydancer, a map clenched in their claws, laughed as they caught sight of flashes of purple scales. “When do you think we’ll be there?” Impressive stalks of bamboo clattered against each other as the little dragon zipped through it, and then back onto the well worn path. “Well,” The skydancer tilted their head as they looked over the map, “if my calculations are correct, we should arrive there…now!”The tall bamboo- tall enough to reach towards the clear blue sky, seemed tiny in comparison to the massive painted gates that rose into view. Two stone towers with green and orange banners flanked the gate; shadowed figures darting around the structure could just be made out as plush clouds glided over head. The closer the duo approached, the louder the song of wind chimes became. When the shadow of the arch passed over them, they could make out heavy ropes draping bowls of unicorn dust and cerdae sparkle; the golden and red glitter contrasting against the green painted doors. A massive wind flight symbol had been engraved and then painted over in white across each door, splitting it in half when the gates where open. The spiral gasped in delight and fluttered through the open doors. The skydancer followed, smiling as they kept pace with their friend through the crowds. Dragons of all kinds and all flights mingled through the cobble streets- some filtered into inns and taverns, others went straight for shops while some were content to sit underneath over hangs and watch. The spiral soon fluttered back and wrapped herself around her friend, clinging to their fur as they walked. Her wide eyes darted around, moving from a snapper in furs to a ridgeback in armor, then over to a smattering of fae. “You alright there?” The skydancer asked. The spiral looked up at them, her purple eyes turning a soft lavender in the sunshine. “There’s so many dragons here. So many. Didn’t you say this place was hidden?” “Yes! It’s hidden to those outside of the Plateau, and this place’s allies I’d assume. But, if you’ve been around here for a while you can figure out where it is easy enough.” “But how did you figure it out? And where did you get that?” She poked at the parchment with one toe. The skydancer laughed and tugged it away. “This? Got it from a friend! Who got it from another friend, and that one got it from their uncle, and that uncle got it from another friend. Probably.” The skydancer gracefully slid out of the way of an armored bogsneak who bared a white wind flight symbol. She nodded respectfully, and was soon lost to the crowds. “You see, GuidingWinds is a trade hub. It has to rely on visitors to survive, but it wants to be a safe place at the same time, yes? So, tell me friend, what’s the best way to spread word of your little home to your neighbors, and your neighbor’s neighbors without letting all of dragon kind know?” The spiral frowned and thought for a moment. She shrugged. “Word of mouth, but of course you through in some rumors to help keep things under lock and key. You know, some lizards don’t believe this place even exists! But us wind folk know, annnd because we like our reputation we tell others about this place! Only if we like them though. It’s no good ratting your lovely neighbor out when they’ve been nothing but kind.” The spiral blinked, her eyes going impossibly wide. “No- that’s so clever! But what happens if a bad egg gets in anyways?” “That’s what the kingdom champions are for dear. You saw that bogsneak back there, yes? She was one of them- they’re an elite force that keeps the peace, and collects treasures and goods for the kingdoms personal stock. They’re awfully nice until you break the rules. Then they’re not so nice.” The duo’s conversation continued as they slipped through the streets, two smears of color adding to the sea of manes and scales in the afternoon light of the Kingdom.
2. Is there a class difference in your lair? If so, how do the ‘lower’ ranks of their society live? If not, how do they maintain equity?
Ooo, yeah there’s very much a class difference. Thankfully the big wigs up in the castle (mostly lucien and azuleopa) do their best to make sure the treasure is being spread equally throughout the kingdom. Some dragons have more things because they either came into the kingdom with more money, or they’re just really good at saving up and making good investments. Another factor to keep in mind is the fact that the kingdom gets the majority of its cash via trading with visitors and merchants, so how popular someone’s product is can absolutely influence how much money ya got, and more over how comfortable your home is.
uhh the main reason why the royals are rich is probably because taxes. Merchants, both outside and inside the kingdom gotta pay a fee to keep their business legal and approved within the city, but the tax itself is determined by how much you normally sell in a month. there’s math that i can do with this but i dont wanna.
3. How is discipline dealt out? Is there a legal system? Fair trial? Vigilantism?
The criminal is normally arrested and placed in temporary holding cells within the castle until Toxin and Arctic can find a time to determine their fate. If they decide that the crime was a minor offense, they’ll decide that the criminal has to do some time of sitting around in a cell before they can leave. Bigger offenses can lead to banishment or long-term imprisonment (or both, if you don’t rot away in the prison first)
4. Are there any important figures in history involved in your lair? Who are they and why are they significant?
Yes! Two dragons (who have been exalted) named Percy and Iolite were some of the first dragons within the clan before it became the kingdom it is now. Toxin, Arctic, Zaleka, Tahara, Phobia, and Adelaide will tell about stories about them if you ask nicely, but they always seem a little sad and wistful when retelling those tales. Percy was a scribe and Iolite was a very sneaky warrior, although both were said to have had hearts of gold. Iolite and Dawn initially trained Zaleka, and Percy helped plan the initial layout of the kingdom before they left. No one knows where they went, mainly because the dragons that knew them won’t talk about it…
and as a side note, Arctic, Toxin, and Dawn are all pretty important historical figures too but they’re still around
5. How has history constructed & molded your lair’s culture, morals and ideals, if at all?
As mentioned before, Dawn and Iolite trained Zaleka to be the fearsome warrior that she is today, and Zaleka went on to pass that knowledge down to the kingdom champions she’s trained. Kingdom champions have a special type of fighting style that utilizes their strengths to their absolute extent by boosting their skills with their innate magic. For example; Tokyo, a wind skydancer, is SUPER fucking fast already, but he uses his wind magic to make himself extra speedy, which lets him get in and out of situations fast and land a tooooon of quick strikes. Each kingdom champions’ fighting style varies, so it’s difficult to anticipate what’s gonna come next!
The kingdom def puts a lot of emphasis of just being nice to each other. The kingdom used to have a nasty serthis problem, and before they were able to fortify themselves a lot of dragons were lost in the conflicts. You don’t know when someone is going to meet their end, so just being kind to others in what moments you have with them is something the founders of the kingdom really emphasized after they lost a lot of their clanmates.
9. What is the political climate? What are some issues currently in the public’s eye?
the fact that literally every single prince and princess has died except Kima is very much a sore point with long term residents. some have blamed Blister, some have blamed the gods, and some think there’s something else going on. most are just thankful that Kima survived though.
another strain is from the events of Bounty of the Elements! haven’t actually gotten to that with the main lore arc, but because of a lot of the internal conflicts within flights (especially fire flight) trade and merchandise has been lacking in some places.
16. Who holds authority or is looked up to in their society? Do they hold any real power, or is it more of a concept?
Regina and Rahab are the queen and king, so of course they are at the very top of the food chain and technically have the most power. Arctic and Toxin have the most favor and influence over the population because of their history with GuidingWinds itself, and in the kingdom Dawn is the most powerful in terms of magic while Toxin is the most powerful in terms of athletic skill. Andromeda, Lotus, and Ana are pretty tied when it comes to who has the greatest potential to be more powerful than Dawn, and Antigone has the greatest potential to be more powerful than Toxin.
also Gaia is a super powered technically immortal druid but she doesn’t care about climbing the power ladder, so she’s more than content with selling weird plants.
outside of the kingdom is a different story. there’s some uh, demigods running around. Balthazar is one of them and is often called ‘the fighter’ because of his prowess in combat. he’ll absolutely reward you if you kick his ass but it’s super difficult, so don’t get your hopes up. he can also transform into a featherback boar at will, so there’s that. Ruthe is the other demigod! she’s called ‘the caster’ because she’s mastered all types of spell casting. she’s also incredibly difficult to beat, but she won’t reward you for kicking her ass. you might be able to convince her to teach you some tips on magic tho! Ruthe can also transform into a powerful beast, but i have yet to choose which one.
37. Are there any common domesticated animals used as livestock, labor or transport? How did this happen? Are they common place?
have i been meaning to figure this out for a while? absolutely!
have i actually figured it out yet? nope
short answer is that they probably have a bunch of the goat and bird based familiars. which ones, i have yet to decide on. i will say that southmarsh podids are absolutely used to pull carts and stuff like that.

How to survive your 5th Year in BS Accountancy (Philippines)
Some of the universities and colleges in the Philippines only have a 4-year curriculum in BS Accountancy who have review subjects in between their undergrad subjects. But I’ll talk for the majority who has a 5-year curriculum wherein they have Accounting Integration or Comprehensive Review (it depends of the school how they call it) subjects for 5th Year students.
When I was an incoming 5th year student, I tried searching about things on how I should prepare for this, but honestly there aren’t a lot of people talking about how hardly or deadly should I say this phase is. So now, I’ll write what I’ve learned throughout this school year.
Few things you need to know:
- It’s really difficult.
- A lot of students tend to fail A LOT or ALL OF THE SUBJECTS (It actually depends on your school, if they adjust your grades or if they have removals or whatnots) Some school are just really strict tho.
-You’ll probably want to give up at a certain point, but you can’t. Because you just have to keep on pushing to reach your dream.
TIPS:
1. Assess your level of “Accounting Knowledge”
- If you are a consistent honor student and if you are confident that you know majority of the topics from FAR, AFAR, MAS, LAW, TAX and AUD, well I could say go for the gold! With this, you’ll have an edge because you will only “re-view” the topics. Of course, you’ll still need a consistent study schedule everyday and make sure you learn the topics you are having difficulties with.
- If you are an average student, think very carefully. You have options, take all the subjects and be dedicated. No distractions or anything, just study. But, I tell you, dedication and discipline is actually not enough because time is a constraint. If you have a short-term memory and you’ll study “first-view”, you wouldn’t have enough time until the semester is over. I suggest, take fewer subjects than usual. Even if you underload 1 subject will make a difference. You’ll get delayed but it’s better than (if worse comes to worst), at least you passed some subjects instead of not passing at all. Actually it depends on your school and your curriculum. So it’s up to you how you’ll make a strategy on how to survive.
- If you are really lazy and survived Accountancy with mere cheating or probably you’re the luckiest person when it comes to shot-gun exams, think again why you are here. Pursuing BSA until the very end is no joke; so if you’re not serious about this and you want to graduate, it’s not yet late to change your attitude and be a better student. Your techniques won’t work in the 5th year (unless your school sucks, who hates cheaters but ignores them when actually caught by others, well done) But in my own opinion, if you really want to be a CPA, you should practice the Code of Ethics even as a student. Always remember that being an Accountant is a righteous job. So start changing your tactics and stick to the rules. Take note “Success without integrity is a failure”. “If you failed but you learned, it’s not completely a failure”
2. Know your reviewers
- If your school lets you know or pick who will be your professor/reviewer for your 5th year, then it’s better. If not, try asking previous 5th yr students/graduates about how their review works or how their reviewers teach them. In this way, you can make a strategy to survive this school year. So that you can either stay away from “not-so-good” reviewers or if not, at least you’ll know how to deal with them.
3. Ask review materials from graduates or look for them by yourself (optional)
- This is optional because # 4 is more important. But if you’re not that confident enough that you know the concept, you’ll need this while studying the concept to test your brain. Also, let’s face it; if you have the same set of reviewers as last year’s, the tendency is that they’ll probably use the same materials for you, or same exam. But don’t be so chill about it, the tendency is that they’ll change some of it.
4. Learning the concept is the key
- I learned this the hard way. I thought that answering reviewers in repetition will help me but the truth is, if you know the concept of a certain topic, you’ll never get wrong even if the questions are changed. Also, if you weren’t prepared for a topic that showed up in your exam, at least you can answer it.
5. Develop your analytical skills.
- One of common misconceptions about Accountancy is that “it’s all about counting money, doing math and other calculations”. But in reality, your calculator can do the calculations but you need to analyze thoroughly. Chances are if you are wrong in analyzing a certain item, the others will follow. Even in exams while answering multiple choice problems (ex. Which is correct? Which is wrong? All of the following are…..except?). you need to exercise the power of elimination. You can do that by reading and analyzing it well.
6. Test yourself
- The best way to assess the things you studied for is the “test yourself”. You probably have handouts from your reviewers and most likely they already have answers. Instead of memorizing the answers, cover them and answer them as if you are taking the exam. To be able to do this, you must follow # 7.
7. Do not procrastinate. (You can study hard but remember, study smart)
- While you are taking your summer vacation right now, find time to study. You can choose to enroll in a review center or study on your own. But I suggest that since there are time constraints when classes actually start, make your own notes so that you’ll just re-read them by the time the semester starts.
- When the semester starts, immediately study starting the first week of classes even if the professors/reviewers are not coming yet. Set your own task and study schedule.
- Assess yourself what study scheme will be good for you. I suggest that you thoroughly study topics that you do not know and just skim over topics you already know. For an example. you are having a hard time with Leases in Auditing, so study its concept and test yourself. If you already master Employee Benefits, then don’t give it too much attention.
- Try to know what are the topics they usually give in exams. Pay attention on what is the coverage, focus on it but do not neglect other topics. There are chances that they might be in the exam as well.
- Study Smart > Study Hard.
8. Find a support system and surround yourself with positive people. (and motivate your friends who are feeling down)
- Choose your friends wisely. If they are toxic, help them but if they refuse you have no choice but to leave. This isn’t a selfish move, but if you think about it, if your toxic friend really treats you as a “real friend” he or she will accept criticism. Remember, as a 5th year student you don’t have that much time for drama. Surround yourself with people with positivity or at least people who are willing to be motivated.
- Not everyday will have a ray of sunshine. But when those days happen, always motivate one another.
- Talk about your problems, do not let them bottle up. But at the end of your conversation, promise to leave it all behind.
- You can try what I did to my friends; I wrote short letters for them everyday that contains motivational quotes or just pure motivation from me. Your friends will appreciate little things like this.
(example:
Dear _____,
Success is not final
Failure is not fatal
It’s the courage to continue that counts.)
9. Know your examiner and their teaching & exam techniques
- You need to assess how you will learn through your reviewer’s lecture. If you heard that a certain reviewer is “not-so-good” then you need to exert extra effort for that subject. You also need to know about their teaching techniques. Know what they “usually put” in exams or where do they get the questions or what type of questions do they usually put. Learn about them because they will be really helpful.
10. Do not believe completely what others say
- Don’t rely when people say “the topics included in the exam are…”. Confirm it with your reviewers or whoever makes your exam. And of course, since 5th year is composed of review classes always be prepared even if a topic wasn’t discussed yet. You should know what to believe and what not to.
11. Take down notes and record lectures (if you still have time to listen to them)
- Listen to me, they are very important. It helps you remember your lessons more and it is less time consuming since you won’t need to fully read the topic through book again.
12. Drink multivitamins, eat healthy foods, get enough sleep.
- Do not deprive your physical and mental health during this phase. FOR FREAKING SAKE, listen. Don’t take too much coffee and get enough sleep. You’ll be more efficient. Your health is more important than you would imagine.
- I take Conzace for my daily dose of zinc, vitamins A, C and E. I also take Stresstabs, but not everyday since it has side effects if you drink it all the time. (ex. You take Stresstabs everyday, feeling so calm then suddenly one day, you forgot about it. What happened to me is that I felt like I am extremely anxious the whole day.) I also take MX3 and drink Bear Brand sterilized milk with gingko biloba for extra energy and better memory.
13. Do not neglect your family and friends.
- Please always make time for them no matter how busy you are. Spending time with them will relieve you from all your stress. Love them always!!! Because they will support you until the end.
14. Focus on what you do not know.
- Since the review happens within a short span of time, focus on the things you are having a hard time with. For an example, you still don’t know how to solve the problems for Bonds Payable, learn the concept first then solve for it.
15. When studying, input information into your long-term memory.
- If you have a short attention span like me, repitition works to put the infotmation in your long-term memory.
16. Study SMART, not study hard. 17. Always believe in yourself 18. Pray and strengthen your faith. 19. Meditate 20. DO NOT CHEAT. 21. Learn to ignore or take things positively about what people say about you 22. Do not compare yourself to others. 23. Do not mind other people (ex. That classmate who continuously cheats yet gets a higher grade than you.) 24. Trust your capabilities 25. Do your best in everything you do.
PS. I’m not yet graduating as I have a lot of subjects left. But all of these are my observations and what I’ve learned from my mistakes during this school year. I hope that everyone will reach their dream to become a CPA. Never lose hope, BE A CPA.
Also, this post is a work-in-progress. I decided to publish this because I have issues with my mouse, I can’t draft it.

50 Personal Questions
Rules: fill this out and tag at least one person you’d like to know more about! Or just fill it out! Or don’t! Answer only some of them! Make up your own questions! “What kind of requirement is that”, you ask? A reasonable one! Who am I to tell you what to do? Anything goes! Tagged by @leorysxi Tagging No One! 1. What kind of food can’t you stand?
Anything that's really cheap or really processed (basically most candy and junk food, except for some quality chocolate). Also coconut. Fuck coconut. 2. If you could choose one minor inconvenience to never have to deal with again, what would you pick?
As of right now, having to remember princess lessons in MidCin and IkeSen. If I could just store infinite stamina (or at least like 10 hours) I'd be such a happy camper. 3. Have you got any useless talents? Idk if it counts as a talent but I can do multiplication, addition, and subtraction from left-to-right. 4. If you could be really really good at one thing, what would it be? Remembering things. 5. Name a few people you think are extremely good-looking. There are plenty, but off the top of my head Andy Biersack for guys (I don't even listen to BVB but I do listen to his solo album lol) and Zendaya or Sofia Vergara for ladies.
6. What was your favorite way to pass the time as a kid? Daydreaming or playing video games (I got my first hand-me-down DS when I was 7). 7. What is something you’re proud of? I'm plenty cocky about a lot of things, but if I had to pick it would be that I was selected out of like 700 kids in my middle school to represent them in a young leadership conference during my first year there.
8. What’s one character flaw in people that you just can’t tolerate? Vapidness in general.
9. Do you consider yourself to be more of a leader or a follower? Definitely a leader (see number 7)! One of my young childhood memories was when I was at the beach on vacation when I was maybe 6, and I was trying to direct a bunch of other little kids on how to build a proper sandcastle (I'm now currently discovering my interest in the field of architecture, funnily enough).
10. What kind of student are/were you? Extremely curious, tends to monopolize the teacher, teachers pet, has never dipped below a 3.7 GPA.
11. Butterfly effect question! Has there ever been a seemingly minor decision you’ve made (at the time) that ended up having a profound influence on your life? I have absolutely no clue tbh.
12. Name your most irrational fear/aversion. The inevitability of my own death. 13. Are there any fictional characters you find especially relatable? Yes, and the first that comes to mind is Edea Lee from the Bravely Default series. She's the daughter of the Grand Marshal (king) of her kingdom, and was raised to follow in her father's footsteps. Though her somewhat biased education had led her to see the world in a very black/white way, her world view is forced to change as she journeys out into the world and joins the other heroes of the story. She wants to make her father and teachers proud, but does not hesitate to disobey them and her state when she sees the consequences of their actions. She's proud, headstrong, and kind (plus she loves food lmao I love Edea and I could talk about her for hours and I'm literally going to name my firstborn daughter after her and no one can stop me).
14. If you drink, what kind of drunk are you? Alternatively, what sort of person are you at parties? I don't really go to parties unless they're small gatherings with friends or family, and the idea of drinking in public terrifies me so idk I'll figure it out eventually.
15. Do you fall in love easily? Or does it usually take a long time for you to trust someone? It will definitely take awhile. I can get crushes, sure, but if and when I start looking for someone to spend/dedicate my whole life to, I plan to find the right one the first time.
16. Would you rather have one close friend or 100 casual friends? This is going to sound shallow but 100 casual friends. No matter how perfect we are as friends, only spending time with one person wears thin after awhile.
17. Do you consider yourself to be more of a slob or a neat-freak? Neat-freak, but not extremely so. I just like me some good organization!
18. Describe a place (imaginary or real) that you would find incredibly cozy. When I think of cozy, one old southern home in my dad's family comes to mind. In the middle of a town as rural as can be, it's a large, charming white cottage surrounded by massive oak trees. The only sounds that reach it are the occasional train the crosses the edge of the property. Whether I'd be out on the porch swing overlooking the yard, the sunroom in the back with an old couch along an entire wall with a massive window, or even perched in one of the massive oaks on the property, I'd stay there forever and nap.
19. Do you have kids? If not, do you want them someday?
Like I said, I'm totally naming my first daughter Edea. 20. What was your favorite book as a child? When I was in second grade, I used to get in massive trouble for reading the Young Nancy Drew series in math class. I also love the Harry Potter series, and found a book called The School for Good and Evil on the first day of 6th grade and have loved the series since.
21. Name one thing you just don’t get what all the hype is about Snapchat, Jake Paul, fidget spinners... I could go on.
22. Name one thing that you think is tragically underrated. Marina and the Diamonds! I hear everyone talking about Halsey or Lana Del Ray, but no one ever talks about Marina and her awesome music! ;-;
23. If you had to be glued to a person for a month, real or fictional (who you have never met), who would you choose? I have no clue, but someone I could get comfortable with at least (not a guy, I'm way too shy!).
24. What’s something you’d like the chance to do someday? I'm just going to be generic and say travel the world.
25. Do you typically speak your mind when you have a controversial opinion? Or do generally prefer to not rock the boat?
If it's something I feel confident in my knowledge/ability to debate about, then I'll never hold back. 26. What’s the dumbest fad you’ve been caught up in?
I'm not one for fads usually, so I don't really have an answer. 27. What’s something you thought was cool as a kid/adolescent, but now cringe at yourself for?
Idk, I was a pretty cool kid. I usually knew when something was too dumb for me. 28. What’s a trait you consider to be very admirable?
A quick wit. 29. Is there a particular kind of item people always tend to give you as gifts? (For instance, people always get you things with ducks on them because you like ducks, etc.) I usually make a wish-list, but I've always gotten plenty of video games, and in recent years I've been receiving jewelry as a gift more often (mostly from my mom because we watch JTV together sometimes and she knows my taste lmao)
30. Do you speak multiple languages? Which ones? I only know English fluently, but I'm learning Spanish in school, slowly but surely.
31. Would you rather live in the big city or the countryside? The countryside definitely has its draws (see number 18), but I've also lived in a city all my life and the convenience of everything is really nice...
32. Has there ever been something you were certain you’d hate, but ended up loving? I never would have thought it as a kid, but I actually love reading nonfiction. You don't have to struggle to find something with a good story that's suited to your tastes, and you get to LEARN stuff.
33. Do you mind being the center of attention, or do you prefer the spotlight to be on someone else?
I guess it depends on what type of spotlight. If it's just drama/popularity, then no thanks, but I definitely want appreciation for what I do and what I've a accomplished so far. 34. Favorite holiday? Easter for pastels and nostalgia, Mardi Gras for fun and family, and Christmas for gifts and candy.
35. Are you a more go-with-the-flow type of person, or do you need to have things planned meticulously? PLANNING. Because STRATEGY. IS. ALWAYS. (srsly tho don't try to get me into a plan that hasn't been thought out yet because I will ask a million questions and start planning everything for you)
36. Is there something you loved so much you wish you could forget it and experience it all over again? (A tv show, book, series–anything.) Most things wouldn't be the same now since I did them as a child, but honestly if I could replay Breath of the Wild with a blank slate I totally would. I tried to take it slow but still ended up rushing the story ;-;
37. What hobbies do you have? Still video games and daydreaming :p but now with the lovely additions of fanfiction and YouTube!
38. If you could have a superpower, but it was only mildly useful, what ability would you want to have? Teleporting? You can't kill a man with it, but it's still pretty useful.
39. Something people are always surprised to learn about you? (Depending on how you met me) I'm super polite and apparently "talk fancy", or that I swear like a sailor in the most deadpan way.
40. Something that took you way too long to figure out? I can't remember anything off the top of my head...
41. Worst injury you’ve had? I've never broken a bone, but once when I was like four I got this HORRIBLE carpet burn on my chin from watching cartoons on my stomach at a friend's house.
42. Any morbid fascinations?
Not really. 43. Describe your sense of humor. Dry, often dark, and is typically enhanced by timing and delivery (deadpan, usually).
44. If you had to be born in another era/place, which would you choose? I'm honestly pretty happy where I am. The past sucks in terms of conveniences and sanitation, and where I came from plays a huge part in who I am.
45. Something you are irredeemably bad at? Probably dancing.
46. Something that sucked but you’re glad you went through? When I was younger, my mom would ALWAYS correct me if I forgot to say ma'am or sir, but I'm so glad she stuck with it because now it's ingrained in my brain and helps me to be acknowledged/liked by my teachers and other adults.
47. Would you rather have a really godawful ugly tattoo in a place that is only slightly inconvenient to conceal with clothing (upper arm, thigh, etc.), or the coolest, most beautiful tattoo ever in the middle of your face? (Neither tattoo can be removed or concealed with makeup, and the ugly tattoo will deeply offend anyone who sees it.) Face tattoo! It doesn't have to be that big, right? Theoretically it could just look like the perfect makeup permanently on my face (and lord knows I'm too lazy for makeup). But realistically, I'm never getting a tattoo. 48. Are you more of an optimist or a pessimist? Realist? I like to operate under "prepare for the worst and hope for the best". I'm confident in my ability to get myself where I want to be, but I know I'll have to work for it. 49. What would be the most flattering compliment someone could give you? Probably something about my mind or abilities. I love being complimented on my looks of course (the other day when I was getting my hair done for school a stranger told me I have beautiful hair and I'm still happy about it), but whenever someone in MidCin compliments me as a princess I almost always screenshot it.
50. Something you feel people often misunderstand about you? (In real life) I'm not a total stuck-up bitch. Yes I'm confident in myself and yes I came from a relatively well-off background, but I like to think that I'm nicer than I first appear.

Judy Ahrens is NOT our friend
So, the May special election is here, and chances are you’re not too worried about it. Most candidates are unopposed, there’s just one or two measures on the ballot, and all the positions seem to be fairly harmless.
Well, this is sadly not the case. Everyone living in the Three Rivers School District area (most of Josephine County except Grants Pass, and parts of Jackson County) gets to vote in one of the most important races for our community.
Likely the only contested race on your ballot, TRSD Board position two has incumbent Danny York going up against a Judy Ahrens.
Mr. York has my vote, and I beg you to give him yours.
I’m sure you’ll want to know why.... but first, TL;DR:
this is a long post. basically, the gist is that Judy Ahrens is a terrible person and we need to make sure she cannot win this election. If you don’t want to read all my analysis, go ahead and skip to part 4. If you don’t want to read any of it, just go check out her website yourself. Make sure to read her bio page.
With that out of the way, let’s delve in:
At first glance, Danny York seems the lesser option. York has an extremely brief statement in the voters’ pamphlet, and no college education, while Ahrens boasts an Associates, and has a long, detailed statement. And of course, Ahrens is a woman, and the conventional knowledge is that women are better in leadership positions.
But some parts of Judy Ahrens’ statement rubbed me wrong, so I did some research. And what I found terrified me.
To start, let’s analyze her statement in the voters’ pamphlet. I’ll go section by section and address each of the points.
Dear Voters:
While living in Southern California, I was heavily involved with the PTA, the Eastwood Site Council, and many other activities related to children. Then nine years ago I moved to Josephine County. It’s gorgeous scenery and friendly people still awe me and my passion for providing the best education for our children continues right here.
So far, so good. We learn she has experience with education and leadership positions, and a love for this community. But wait ‘til she gets to her platform:
Why I’m running:
1. To guarantee that Parents’ Rights come first. Parents currently are fighting against a bill in Salem which forces vaccinations on all children attending Oregon public schools. I back these parents 100%.
“Parents’ Rights” is a term you see thrown around here and there. Usually, this means parents’ rights to control the curriculum or content their children are exposed to, or to have medical & bodily control over their kids. And usually it comes from the Christian Right, which I’m a little wary of (that’s the folks with the sin signs that like to go to local events and yell on megaphones about how queer people are going to hell).
In this case, Ahrens is taking the medical side of the Parents’ Rights issue, cleverly appealing to anti-vaxxers on both ends of the political spectrum (the religious my-body-is-my-temple folks and the no-chemicals-for-me hippies alike). However, as we’ll see shortly, she quickly extends this into the more morally concerning social arena.
2. To protect traditional family values which are currently under attack. All sex education materials and instructions should be scrutinized for age appropriateness and content by a committee that includes parents.
Nothing makes this bisexual pro-LGBT-rights guy uncomfortable quite like the phrase “traditional family values.” It might as well be code for “homosexuality is a sin,” and is usually accompanied by extreme bigotry. Needless to say, we don’t want bigots on the school board. And phraseology like “currently under attack” means she sees gender and sexuality diversity as an organization or movement trying to attack a way of life. That’s not who we are, and that’s an extremely toxic, harmful mindset.
But wait.... there’s more! I don’t know how Ahrens crammed so many red flags into one bullet point, but her take on sex ed is also disastrous. Sex ed is crucial, especially in low-income rural communities like ours. Kids need to know about consent and sexual abuse, safe sex practices, how to get birth control, healthy and unhealthy relationships, hygiene and sexual health, safe/unsafe masturbation, gender and sexuality, and so many other things. Current curriculum isn’t perfect, but schools are getting better at this, especially in Oregon.
Parents simply do not know better than professional educators what their kids need to know about sex. Surveys have shown that parents tend to think their kids are less sexually active/aware than they are, at pretty much every age and development level, so parents likely won’t think a lesson is age appropriate until it’s too late for some kids. And many parents who view sex, or pre-marital sex, or maybe just teen sex, as a bad thing might want abstinence-only sex ed, which is highly ineffective.
But the biggest problem is that this ties directly into Ahrens’ other problematic views. Having already pegged her as a likely member of the Christian Right, I can already guess what “sex-education materials” she’ll want to get rid of: anything having to do with LGBT+ issues, abortion, masturbation, sex for pleasure, or birth control. And these are arguably some of the most important roles sex-ed plays, giving marginalized students or students who cannot ask at home access to valuable, impartial and trusted information.
At this point, I’m getting pretty uncomfortable with Judy Ahrens, but the worst is yet to come.
3. To make sure academic achievement is the No. 1 priority above all other programs in the Three Rivers School District.
Okay, so this isn’t so much a social justice or moral issue; but why? Yes academics should be a priority, but school should also focus on the arts, physical activity, extracurriculars, and (personally I think this should be #1) students’ mental health. But this isn’t too big of an issue, I can easily let it slide.
Our current statistics show:
- Third Grade English Proficiency 43% - Eighth Grade Math Proficiency 35% - 12th Grade Tracking for Graduation 68%
Yeah, that’s pretty concerning. We should probably address that. But check out her “solutions”:
My solutions for such low results:
A. Have only the best phonics-based reading instructions used in the early grades. Also have rigorous teaching programs for mastering spelling, grammar, and writing skills.
B. Re-examine Common Core, the dubious government standard for math instruction. We need to get “back to basics” and teach fundamentals if we want our students’ math scores to improve.
This is just beyond me. I don’t have a degree in it (tho I will in a few years!) but I know a fair amount about linguistics and pedagogy. I also went to elementary school in our district. “Phonics” is an extremely broad and vague category that generally means teaching letter sounds. My teachers did this. I’m pretty sure most teachers do this. But guess what; they’re trained but professionals who literally study how to teach kids to read and write. “Only the best phonics” sounds vaguely Trump-esque to me. In any case, it wouldn’t be a huge shift from the current policy, and kinda sounds like she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
Which only seems more likely when you get to the second paragraph. Common Core is far from perfect, yes. But calling it the “dubious government standard” is too reminiscent of the Parents’ Rights philosophy. I guarantee you the average parent doesn’t know a better way to teach math. Additionally, Common Core literally is an attempt to go back to the basics. And it was implemented because math scores were abysmally low. People criticize Common Core because it’s not what they’re used to, but all it’s really doing is teaching kids to connect abstract ideas with concrete scenarios. Which is what math is all about.
C. Provide programs that instill strong patriotism in our students, including having all classes begin each day with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Uh-oh. Okay, so I have no problem with patriotism. But this sounds.....fascist? America-centrist? America First-ish? Nationalistic?
I’ve never liked the pledge of Allegience. For one thing it goes directly against the establishment clause (”under god”, seriously? I’m religious but that still bothers me), but also, we should be teaching our kids to think openly, to make their own decisions, and to be their own agents. And definitely not to just repeat-after-me and sign-on-the-dotted-line. If we want our kids to be patriotic, we should show them the true face of this country, encourage them to get involved, tell the good and bad sides to our history. Make them patriotic by giving them reasons to be, not by having them memorize a pledge they don’t even understand all the words to. Which brings me to...
D. We need to provide teachers with honest and accurate instructional materials in order to give students a solid background in American History and the U.S. Constitution.
Okay, so I actually completely agree with this. However, I suspect that my and Judy Ahrens’ ideas on what is “honest and accurate” may be more than a little different. For me, I think the key here is making sure to teach the bad as well as the good, and be frank about the ways that the US has violated and still does violate the very rights and liberties we strive to protect. Only by recognizing one’s faults can one grow stronger, and the same can be said of a society or nation. Given her love of patriotism, I suspect Ahrens wants more of a whitewashed, postitive portrayal of our history. But she’s unclear (perhaps on purpose) so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Let’s make our schools great again.
This is an *obvious* echo of MAGA. Which should scare you.
I would appreciate your support and vote on May 21, 2019.
So that’s that for her pamphlet statement. But it got me concerned enough that I decided to do a little more research. And found out just how disastrous she really is.
Part Two: Under the Surface
So I went to her campaign website. It’s not very well designed, or secure, but you can check it out if you want.
Most of the content there is pretty much verbatim what’s in the pamphlet, but there’s a few noteworthy additions:
Following the daily pledge of allegiance, she calls for “a minute of silence.” I don’t know why.
The sex-ed clause has grown: “We need to protect traditional family values which are currently under attack. All sex education materials including classroom videos, textbooks, and discussions should be scrutinized for age appropriateness and content by a committee that includes parents. AND....parents must have the final say if they want to OPT OUT of any such activity/instruction they feel inappropriate for their child.” She definitely wants to make sure children don’t have to get subjected to educational, important information about sex (because sex is evil?). Curious how discussions can be scrutinized by parents, I’m assuming ahead of time.
She mentions participation in Vacation Bible School and Right To Life March (an anti-choice organization), confirming my suspicions that she’s firmly within the Christian Right. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s definitely cause for concern.
She has a list of “patriotic holidays” she wants to instill in students. One of them is Columbus Day, an extremely problematic and racist holiday.
Finally, there are two aspects of her website that led me to dig deeper.
Part Three: Silencing Abuse Victims
So, in her bio on her website, Ahrens brags about banning a book:
Promoting traditional family values, helped to stop a certain controversial book (with heavy sexual content) form getting into Ocean View School District school libraries.
I was curious, so I investigated. Wanna know what the book was?
I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
Apparently her complaint was that it had sex scenes that were inappropriate for children. If you’re unfamiliar, the novel is semi-autobiographical, and includes descriptions of the sexual abuse Angelou faced as a child. It’s heavy stuff for sure, but also extremely important. It’s widely regarded as one of the most important pieces of feminist literature, and it tilts white male dominant America on its head. I read it when I was 12. It was disturbing. But it’s a book that is meant to disturb, and I’m very glad I read it when I did.
Now, I wouldn’t recommend that book to an eight year old. But this was in a middle school environment (read: kids aged 11-14). In fact, there was already a limitation: only eighth graders could check the book out. So we’re talking 13-14-year-olds. Now that may still seem young, but by age 12 most girls are already used to sexual harassment, and one in four will have been sexually assaulted by age 16. So reading the story of a survivor could be very helpful.
My biggest issue with this, though, is the way Judy Ahrens portrays it. “A certain controversial book”, she calls it, “with heavy sexual content.” It sounds meritless, obscene, pornographic. Instead, it is a renowned work of literature. Banning this book is not just removing some uncomfortable sex or disturbing abuse from the shelves; it is silencing the voices of victims and of women of color, voices which we should be raising.
This tale is a warning: Judy Ahrens favors censorship. This is scary. We already know she doesn’t like sex ed; will she fight to have educational books removed from libraries. Will she try to ban books that have gender and sexuality diverse characters? Given the next and final story in our saga, I’d not be at all surprised.
Part Four: Homophobic and Proud of It
It stands to reason that I, being a member of the LGBT+ community, would be most bothered by this. But I think, anyone would be bothered by this. Any decent, non-bigoted person, that is.
Right in the middle of her bio page, is this lovely gem:
I was elected in 2002 to the Westminster School Board with my continued theme of "Back to Basics." While in office, I, with the help of two other board members, lead the controversial fight against the homo-sexual issue.
WE WON ! [sic]
So, hopefully y’all can see exactly waht’s wrong with this, and I don’t have to say. But it’s obvious as can be. Blatant homophobic bigotry. “The controversial fight against the homo-sexual issue” is such a hurtful way to say that, too. So anyways, she’s shown herself to be a gross homophobe.
But I was curious, so I dug deeper, and boy did I find a story. In 1999, the State of California passed a law adding gender identity and sexuality to the list of things on the basis of which students could report discrimination. By 2004, every school district in California except Westminster had incorporated this new language into their policy. Westminster refused to modify their anti-discrimination policy language protecting trans students. Press at the time (and this became a national story) described Judy Ahrens as the board member most opposed to protections for trans kids. She was quoted as saying that the state law promotes homosexuality and that she’s “really sad that the moral compass isn’t out there” and “disappointed that economics is trying to outweigh morality and protecting our kids in this district.”
This was in 2004. It’s 2019 now. Much has changed. Maybe she could have changed; I would have been maybe willing to accept that. But she’s literally proud of this. She is using it as a campaign point.
If Judy Ahrens wins this election, it will send the message to lgbt+ kids in our district and everywhere that voters don’t care about them or their safety. If Ahrens wins, it will send the message that bigotry is a viable way to run a campaign. If Ahrens wins, it will send the message that hate wins.
So please, join me in voting AGAINST Judy Ahrens.
Vote for Danny York, who is neither particularly qualified nor severely unqualified, but is infinitely better than the hateful, bigoted, religious-extremest Ahrens. Keep our district welcoming and accepting of diversity.
And don’t only vote. This matters. Tell everybody. Make noise. Write letters to the editor. Share this, on facebook. We can defeat evil, but only if we join and rise to face it. So join, and rise. Please.
Ballots must be received by May 21. Probably for the best to return it by the 19th or 20th at least.

carit ok yeah and you have a lizard on our my footwhat is it with Florida I what what do I want to come back hereyeah what do I do I want to get a little little soy saucecome on yeahthis is a good road car and as he unleashes 640 horsepower down a hill itsalso a good missile couple gripes of right off the batyou know that’s my job that is it first firstcan I have the first gripe please go this friggin seat belt every time it’s likeit’s like having your neurotic Jewish grandmother in the car with youahh face slow down slow down its strangling anywayok your gripe sir oh you can’t decouple the steering weight from the modes otherwordsmaybe I want to be in sport mode and maybe I don’t want you don’t have tocurl 35 pounds every time I turn the wheel in regular modeit weights are really naturally the other modes feel like like your powersare out of power steering fluid right it againit’s just too heavy yeah unnecessarily so and I don’t know why they did it feelsportier because its heavier but that you know you don’t always have to do that you canthat’s like cars that ride crappy in sport modelike you don’t need to bounce off the road to feel like you’re a sportscar right in fact in fact staying on the road is very sporty I would say and that’s oneanother thing that this car does really well is that suspension tuning so it’s gotmagnetorheological dampers it rides well even in track mode and it’s a littlestiffer but it’s not it’s not sort of knock your teeth out stiffI don’t wanna again re-state and state the obvious but man this is just agreatsedan to drive just getting the nitpicking with it like okay it doesn’tput the power down as well as it couldwell it has so much right yeah but this is a problem shared with the z06 and Ithink you just when you get to a certain power threshold you run out of whatrear-wheel-drive cars are capable ofunless you go to like a viper ACR solution and have a wing the size of adining room table bolted to the trunk which would be hot right coolno the thing is unlike the z06 right so can put its power down but whenit steps out it does so smoothly predictably predictably I like I can’twrap my brain around the fact that this is the same engine from the z06 because inthat carit sounds well we decided best sounding v8 in production todayyeah and this is just sounds like fake in the car and the raspy outside yeah andnot in that musical sexy funny kind of saxophony way that the z06 didyeah but look that’s a constant problem when you take a luxury car and turn it intohot rod is that you still have the bones of the luxury car sitting there addsweight add insulation even outsidewell I say that any higher yeah yeah I can’t all right but even as MiniMouse you got to agree that it it so it sounds better outside than insidestrangely my only complaint about this car is it’s one of these superhero carsthat does everything so well that every time you look down you’re going 95right and I know what kind of sound like an old man here but there’s a certainamount of joy that’s missing when you can’t really exercise car on the roadwithout going to jailyeah you can’t the other thing I would say that there is a lack of involvementin this cardare I say it not thrilling it’s like wow yeah we’re just beating this road deathremember the old cts was just like the most hysterical like involving aamusingand you know what I think the real but why tho that one was so good becauseit had a thing that the stick and it would like to get and if I’m paidin large sums of money I can not hate an automatic transmissionalright sum it up in one word what is this transmission do lag sucks it’ssucks they sold 800,000 or whatever trucks in the USA year with thistransmissionI don’t need to shift quickly the CTS-V however does need a shift very quicklyand it don’tand it don’t and its annoying your always getting like shift deny and when youknow if you got this gorgeousheads up display at redline 6500 and if you actually pull the shift at6,500 forget about it you’ve already boggedokay well want to hit the limiter the transmission is like I’m offline for thenext three seconds right and it goessince the CTS has come out I said to everyone it’s a great car same with the ATSsure wonderful car don’t buy itwhat don’t buy it because Q oh yeahat the end of the day we could we can review these cars dynamically but peoplehave to live with them rightI know I would punch that screen so hard so fast so many times it’s dangerous itisyou’ve said it’s dangerous I’ve said it’s dangerous you know Cadillac theretheir whole thing that was dare greatlyI’m gonna say dare a little little less than greatly dare for knobsbecause what’s great about a novice I can be looking down the road and I cando this and the volume goes up and down and I can do this and I can tune theradio station just it worksyou don’t need to reinvent the wheel if your going to reinvent the wheelmake it round at least please the CTS-V anit the boomerang antenna crushed velvetbooze cruise cadillac you took to your junior prom but this isyes folks we track down an honest-to-goodness 1985 cadillacfleetwood brougham stretch limousine and a new chauffeurskeeves open the sucker up you got to check out this interior crushed velvet as faras the eye can seeoh yeah look at this we got an armrest we got a barwe got the wood we don’t have bacteria and viruses I wouldn’t recommend abacklight for anywhere here in heredon’t touch anything except for the phone look at thisexcuse to you can go ahead and punch it hold on seat belt you don’t need a seat beltits a limousine you did just pull up to a figure eight course you realize rightthat and we’re at a 40-degree angle that’s not good is that sky or how did your seat belt worknope no no they had different seat belt technology back then you know we were talking about luxury inthat other car this is luxuriousthis is very luxurious is that ball joint pops that just happens all weno that was like a case of whiskey in the truck coolJesus Christ where did we find this guy oh Jesus hey skeeves can you pickup the phonesit sit sit back in your seat get back in your seat don’t make me come back thereI mean not bad for a old birdoh Godyeah well you know listen your car’s that last start drinking nowall right I think we’re good nice nice audition don’t call us we’llcall youthat’s good driving that’s goodthank you sir and thanks skeeves twoLexus they’ve gone a different directionback to right into the wall all right we’ll start with this one and it’s alittle dirty because it’s got nine hundred and thirty six thousand miles onit currentlywhen this came out yeah I looked like the acura legend but like it’s agood-looking car look good then it looks good nowby the way 20 years from now it’s gonna look good 20 years nowI mean 20 years from now that car is not going to look good because it doesn’tlook good nowthat’s the problem I mean look this is nothing fancy right now in terms ofdesignit’s really good it’s got good proportions simple straight lines itstands the test of timethis has enough styling on it first six cars carsI don’t see anything car like this looks like when they used to give spiders LSDand then watch them weave those crazy webs and Lexus was like BAMthere’s the front I mean I just don’t understand what I’m looking atyeah I mean if Lexus is trying to say we used to make this type of vehicle and wedon’t make this type of vehicle anymorewe don’t do to date luxury we do sedate we do manic torque vectoring or drive sideways thatbut my big question is how does this front-end pass a five mile an hourbumper crash test how easy the government standards are very simplethey have to bash the car into a fixed barrier at five miles an hour and itcan’t look any uglier than it did beforeyeah styling and design of a personal thingI don’t think it’s very pretty yeah but but I mean the way it goes around thefigure eightI haven’t figure eight it yet come on dude in inI mean yeahisn’t this good around the figure eight really good right look justgreattry that old LS yeah right again we’re very hard about the way thiscar looks because it’s it’s it’s a tsunami of vomitbut like it drives brilliantly around the figure eightand the thing about the figure eight is it is it is one data point youwhat I love about this test is it’s not just steady state cornering is howwas the car come out of the corner like thathow old is the transition into the braking zone into cornering into steadystate and then back over and over again in both directionsit is the single best dynamic measureof a cars abilitiesthis thing nails it that was goodlook doing here in a closed environment is one thing but i’m really curious howthis thing actually drives on the roadwhy I don’tendless trip because they kick us out of here at the end of the day and roads arefreeyou can use whatever you want let’s go that waywhich way am I going can you set the navno why not you do itI’m not touching that thing I’m not touch either so there’s a stupidjoystick thing rightyou go to the main menu to try to pick you know between nine options and thetotal travel of this joystick is less than one inchthis was not developed for the GS F this was developed for like the ES which isbought by grandmother’s who have the pausyyou know like it its it’s no I look they’ve already gotten rid of it two orone of those horrible situations they put a track pad which is just as badbecause you’re like a squigglyit’s like a normal mouse I just figured out I figured out where thetexture in that grill came from a strut straight linebut okthe car interesting enough the cars bit kinky and I say that because it has absm light on it I’ve always thought it was BDSM and apparently Lexus has alack of discipline right there and it’s a light that never I don’t know how tomake it go awaythere’s no button that controls it don’t worry about there is however a buttoncalled ASC and that is like auto sound positioning conditioning and so talkabout euphemism rightbasically they should just call it making engine noises but interestingthe F againfirst of all the fact that you can turn it on and off at willis great right interestingly enough this is the loudest actual intake in theworld listen the thing thendid you try this car and think I want more let me hit the button I want more noisebecause this is a naturally aspirated five liter v8 you don’t real helpyeah wonderful sound it is really good big surprises this whole car is thatit’s so much better than the RC F right off the bat I mean I always not evencomfortable is bounces all over that poor thing that was a Frankensteinof a car right the front was off this car is off the GS the middle is fromthe old out of production convertible and the rear is out of production caryeah just go see ya know that was stupid this thing rides great knowing you couldactually rides better than the Cadillac shockingly it does land look what what ifLexus has a core competency better ride well that’s trueyeah but the steering it’s in terms of accuracyit’s almost as good as the Cadillac but it’s much lighter effort and it’s almostif thats Aston Martin steering this is Ferrari steering you know how it’s gotthat like ball bearing like light effort but so goodum this is one of those cars are they took we were talking about with with thethe Tesla like you can’t explain to people actually how quick a Tesla is ina straight line they just don’t believe youthey don’t believe you how well this lexus drives it is supple and all theright ways and the noisemy big issue is gearing again okaythis is an eight-speed automatic lexus always gears there eight speeds as ifthey were five so they had like 75 miles an hour and second and then this does105 miles an hour in third gearso here i am at 50 50 miles an hour I can’t really go into second is not muchleft and I’m going to nail itwaiting waiting right pulling pullingpullingpullingpulling pulling a limiter at 105 they put a torque vectoring diff in this that’s notshared with anything else they could have chosen a ratio that banks thru thegears why they do this fuel economyI’m sorry if you want a 5-liter v8 in your midsize sedan and you want to bitchabout fuel economy yourselfI mean really one gear it does go down the road pretty good good goodthat was pretty good everyone gets in this car is like got no torquethis motor got no torque this motor makes a huge amount of torqueit’s all neutered by long long long gears but the way this car puts powerdown and how stable it isyeah you think how much more power that CTS-V had and that that CTS-Van order of magnitude faster than this car on a straight road and it outbreaksthis car and it out grips this car both by a considerable margin sureand yet this was only a tenth behind on the figure eightthat is a seriously cohesive road car it isthe thing is as we always do want to Head 2 Head we know how these carsgoing down the road we know what they do on a test trackhow do you think they’re gonna do on a racetrack um I’m just gonna pretend I’mon a racetrack right herecan I do that I this is a good road carit’s so good and that tall skinny good we hang out with Randall he’s gonnalike driving this one betterthere he is do you think he just sits here all week and waits for us it’sreally weirdI did the bigger question is is does he own real clothes just wear this funny pajamanow I think he sleeps with that helmet to such a strange hey Randy how are yagood to see ya hello friends yeah you remember last year on an Ignitionepisode we had the CTS-V oh yeah I love the car so we think we have found a evenbetter driving sedanwhat a color right course we’re here for your professional race track opiniongreat that’s where I live he does live hereit’s my happy place I’m gonna wrap let’s gowell sirhello that’s a very different experience from the Lexusyeah it’s is way more powerful I mean like the difference between the size ofthe United States and the size Japanoh but the Cadillac is more like one piece all the way around the racetrackits organic if I ask for twenty percent steering I get twenty percent turningthe LexusI can feel and adjusting itself and I enjoy itthat back end I think it may be that diff turn in and then it just does alittle torque vector it does it just like that and I like itit’s great on the road and take skiing on mobile you know it’s like hoppingyeah its greatI think I think that’s why I actually I like that car better on the road thanthis one wow I like this one way better on track because of that directness andthe powerwell here’s the thing we knew it would be quicker but the Cadillac is almostthree seconds a lap quicker than the lexus which is I’m not surprisednot surprisedwe bounced guts I can hear the 14 year old trolls from here youyou two are fatyou’ll be fat to one day if you live long enough anywaymmm yeah we got to come to the conclusion about this Head 2 Head andbefore we get started I want to say it’s much closer than I think everybodyexpected you have certainly a lot closer than I thought it was going to bebecause both of us felt that on a winding back roadsthe orange Lexus over there was the better car to drive yeah that car wasreally fun when you were caning it more so than that and then on thehighway even though that road better that car feels special because it’salways in like psycho killer attack modethe problem with Lexus is if you’re not in sport or sport plus its kind ofasleep and you forget when you’re driving it that you’re in thisincredibly special performance carwhereas with one stab of your right foot you can pass every Prius in southernCalifornia driving that thingyeah and that’s a lot of Prius it’s a lot of fun a lot of fun yeah and then webring it to the track and make the Cadillac wipes the track with themLexus two and a half seconds a lot faster and we knew that going inbut I would I was surprised me was that Randy said he liked everything about theCadillac more than the Lexus right let’s not forget can you in good faith saythat a car which looks like that wins anythingum yeah it could win an ugly car contestit could also win a contest of 467 horsepower rear-wheel drive v8 poweredcars that refused to do burnouts and in fact it has the only infotainment systemin the world ever to make Cadillac Q look intuitive because if that much worseok so despite the fact that we both like the GS F quite a bit along winner of thisHead 2 Head is a black Cadillac CTS-V yep yepdance with melook we know you don’t have time to wait for the next episode of Head 2 Headthat’s why you need to head to Motor Trend On Demand . com that’s where thelatest episode always lives in the world of the full-size luxury moneymaybe but do you think it’s actually better than the MercedesI’ve no idea yeah looks like we have a Head 2 Head that my coffeewatch the latest episode of Head 2 Head right now on Motor Trend On
