anyone who knows me personally will know that, ever since i first stared keeping houseplants (about a year and a half ago now?), i've wanted something that flowers yellow or has distinctive yellow parts and.. well... my brother and i were in a home improvements shop and i started wondering around the houseplant section and found a very special plant full of water and mites and.... i brought it and treated it as best as i could and now that the risk of him dying is much lower i think i should name him and

do i even have to say what i want to name this bromeliad. must i say it

#MAGICAL JOHN IRL #MY BEAUTIFUL FLEA RIDDEN SOGGY MFKN BROMELIAD JOHNATHAN #ill put him up in my room after a few days. i wanna make sure his mysterious bug infestation is definitely cleared up before i do that tho #i own some really hardy plants (namely a parlor palm that refuses to die and some mint and dasies that SHOULD BE OUTSIDE)#but i also own a weeping fig ficus i named shelby and she is SO sensitive. once overwatered her ONE TIME and she dropped so many leaves #i thought she was gonna DIE. i am NOT risking ANYTHING happening to her again #so John has been relegated to the dining room with the cactus that may be older than me #cactus name is jeremy and he was grown from a cutting. yippee
