Lmao people calling me a Feylin is probably the biggest insult.
I haven't liked Feyre since she turned fae. I don't want her anywhere near Tamlin. He can do better!

If you pick your ship only because you don’t like a character *cough* Elain *cough* then honestly what’s the point? You can like the idea of two people being endgame while respecting and admiring other characters..
People don’t like Elain because she’s boring.. really? Let’s see:
She killed the king of Hybern. Literally. She SAVED Cassian and Nesta.
Feyre distinctly recalls Elain saving money to buy her paints. Feyre never bought any for herself. ELAIN did. Knowing Feyre would not give herself that joy.
When Feyre goes to the estate, Nesta immediately says no to having the meeting there. ELAIN speaks up and says that Feyre gave for years and years and If she needs this they need to help her. She acknowledges how they let her down. She is the one who gets the people that work there out of the house.
Elain is the one who thought of the plan to go to Graysen and ask him to house the humans.
She was the one kicking the hounds off of Azriel’s back. She was the one who screamed to the girl at the camp to grab on and actually physically grabbed her as well.
fucking AMREN has said countless times to NOT underestimate her
She finds the Suriel for Feyre
She helps the people of Velaris rebuild
She says the queens can burn in hell when they don’t give the book to the IC
she TOTALLY downplays herself when going to the court of nightmares. You think the girl who is rumoured to be beautiful (this is said by Eris in ACOWAR and he actually does look at her that night too) looks bad in black? She knew the plan was to literally pimp out Nesta to get Eris in deep, why would she try and steal the show? Eris literally says Nesta outshines her that night.. hm, so she doesn’t always? Like it was on purpose
she begins to volunteer to help. Just because she is still stifled doesn’t mean she is unwilling.
She gives a complete play by play of Nesta stealing away a lords attention by dancing just because a girl was mean to her. She describes it in such detail and just says at the end “I just observed”… like?? How is that not interesting that she sees everything
Cassian says that Nesta is wrong that Elain is a loyal dog and that she sees everything Nesta does and knows why. She is understanding.
And this is just off the top of my head. There is more. And we know there is because SJM specifically wrote a Feysand bonus chapter to highlight that Elain is underestimated. Even by her siblings. She is not a warrior or a leader, but she is SOMETHING. And saying she doesn’t deserve Azriel just because we have only had snippets of her in the series is wrong. Yes, I am leaning towards Eriel, but that doesn’t mean I diminish Lucien and Gwyn just so my ship floats. Gwyn and Lucien are fantastic characters. They deserve the BEST. They deserve to be chosen and not second picks. Will they get that knowing that Azriel and Elain literally want each other? No, they will not. And that’s the biggest thing. Why would I want Gwyn, who went through so much, and persevered to get a necklace that was completely made in terms of the likeness of another? Why would I want her to, tbh, be 3rd choice? Gwyn deserves to be with someone who picks her first. Low key she deserves someone like Tarquin. She’s part nymph, how nice would it be to be somewhere warm and AWAY from the place that reminds you of all of your trauma? And to be with a man that even Feyre said would be easy to love.. I’m not even shipping that to take away from her and Azriel. I’m just giving an example of what she DESERVES. And if you’re saying she deserves Azriel’s gift to Elain and literally a guy who was thinking about how he would beg for another girls coochie, then you don’t care about her. You only care about Azriel. And you only care because you hate Elain. The same goes for Lucien. He watched the women he loves be killed by his father and was run out of his court, only to be kicked out of his home at spring court. He finally finds refuge with the band of exiles. Why would I not want him to be happy to fit my own believes in Eriel? If the mating bond is rejected I want it to be mutual. I want Lucien to get what he wants too. Not just Elain. Not just Azriel. Lucien deserves what he wants too.
Bottom line: you can ship who you want as long as you genuinely do it because you think that is what the character deserves. Not because you think another does not.

Are you pro Rhysand ? Because he sexually abused Feyre utm drugging and making her do lap dances for him while she was intoxicated and threw up
Tumblr media
Hello, Anon(s) :)
I am pro-everyone and anti-no one when it comes to acotar. Mostly because if you think of it on a deep level, every character has done bad shit, and they have done good things too, they aren't just good or bad, everyone falls into a grey area. So instead of demeaning EVERYONE for not always being good, I choose to respect them for their good moments.
You will not see any anti-posts on my blog, unless a story I want to write demands it.
Now you two asked for Rhysand and Feysand. Yes I am pro Rhysand and I ship Feysand.
And since the "are you pro-Rhysand" ask felt rather aggressive (and a little weird) to me. Here you all go.
I am pro-Rhysand because:
He saved Feyre from the three lesser Fae who went after her during Calanmai.
He helped Feyre during the second trial, thereby saving both her AND Lucien.
He made sure that Feyre wouldn't get any more of those impossible tasks between the trials once he got to know she was getting them.
He is always 10 steps ahead and has everything planned (to an extent), and he kept Amarantha's full fury off of everyone else under the mountain by sacrificing his own body, not only did he keep his people in Velaris safe but he softened almost every blow Amarantha threw at the other High Lords.
He would've let Feyre live her life happily with Tamlin despite the mating bond if that was what made her happy.
He was Feyre's rock when Tamlin didn't know how to help her, when Tamlin messed up, Rhysand was there to soften Feyre's fall.
Even if all he grew up with was a horrible role model of a High Lord (just like every fucking High Lord of the "new" generation["New" cause they all are like 500+ except for my baby Tarquin]) and is TRYING to do better than his dad. Tamlin wasn't the only one who suddenly became High Lord after THEY killed EACH OTHER'S family.
Even if he isn't the best brother at times, he freely shows his love for Azriel and Cassian. He will die and has died, to protect his closest family/people.
Despite what some people may say about how he treated Nesta in her book (forcing her out of her apartment and having her trained), it worked in a way nothing she was doing (drinking and sleeping around) did, and it DID end up helping her, she found her own friends because of what HE did. (Gwyn because she worked for Rhysand and Emerie because Nesta was forced to go to Illyria)
I KNOW he will be the kind of father to Nyx that both he and Feyre themselves needed.
I know he has done horrible things, as has LITERALLY EVERYONE. Things that can't be forgiven but are in written text to be. And I have acknowledged them, I am not naive enough to ignore them cause I find the character hot (this is not just for Rhysand but for every character, Feyre, Nesta, Cassian, Azriel, Eris, ALL OF THEM). But you will not find Rhysand hate from me, or for any other character.
Did he do the wrong things from time to time? Yes. Will I promote the horrible things he had done as "good"? No.
But I have respect for him AS A CHARACTER that triumphs over any negative feelings I may have for what he might have done.
If you wish to find anti-Rhysand posts, there is a tag like that with his name on it.

Unlikely Alliance
So I was only planing to make stuff for Day 1 and Day 7 of Eris Week but this idea popped into my head and my dear friend @praetorqueenreyna once told me she liked this ship, so I figured why not? This one for you girlie! We get the heir of Autumn with my precious Spring baby because honselt they both deserved better. Hope you all enjoy!
@erisweek2023
Eris Week 2023- Day 3: Secrets
Unlikely Alliance
The manor was nothing but a collection of vines, broken glass, rubble and wilted flowers. Eris hadn't cared much for the state of things, thinking Tamlin would eventually bounce back from this. He'd been wrong, for the High Lord was lying on the floor in beast form when Eris found him.
He didn't rise when the Autumn prince found him, rather he gazed at him with dulled emerald eyes. "Here to cut off my head?"
"No, Tamlin."
"Pity. I thought Rhysand sent you to finish me off."
"Rhysand's not one to let others do what he himself wishes to accomplish. Besides I have more reasons to keep you around than as a throphy."
"Pray tell, this should be interesting."
He noticed the blonde was slimmer than the last time he saw him when he had a meeting here with the inner circle. 'We shouldn't have frightened him like that.' He regretted.
"I have an alliance proposal. You and I joined as High Lords of the combined Spring and Autumn. "
Tamlin looked at him as if he'd grown another head."...Did you by any chance find Ciaran's secret weed stash, because if so let me know. He wanted me to burn it after he died."
"No Tamlin, I'm not high on your brother's weed. I've given this a lot of thought actually. It would be beneficial for us both.
You know that while Tarquin and his people haven't given any thought to take this land from you, my father is very adamant in getting Spring by force. I'm trying to save you from the edge of his sword."
"Let him. I have nothing left to live for."
"What about Lucien? Do you think he wants to see you dead?! Or Feyre, she'd be heartbroken to hear you passed!"
Tamlin let out a venomous sarcastic laugh that made him wince. "Feyre is the one that plunged this court to ruin for Hybern to destroy! She does not care of my demise! Oh, and your dear baby brother comes every so often to see me, and we talk. Last thing I've heard, he's happily coupled with the human queen and general. I know that in time his visits will cease. I have no one left!"
So he was right. Tamlin still loved those two even if they'd left him behind. He could understand, as there was a lady that refused him and he still sometimes pined for, even if she'd soon be wedded in the Court that he was trying to topple.
"Yet I'm still here. I am offering you a chance to rebuild, to forget, to maybe even reconnect with those you miss."
"Why?! Eris you and I were never close. For years I was only your younger brother's lov- friend!"
"Aye, and I thought that was the only connection we'd share. But as time goes on and everything we knew keeps crashing down, I've kept on thinking that perhaps we should reevaluate our bonds. And yours ws the first to come to mind.
I know how much you loved this court Tamlin. You gave your all for it even if what you truly wanted was to play music and travel. Let me help you heal it, as we bring our enemies down."
"Our enemies? Aren't you Rhysand's ally?"
"That is all talk." He showed Tamlin a Sapphire pendant that glowed in the light. "My true allies are the ones rebelling against Rhysand's rule. His court is preparing to bring him down. I'm just one of their many spies."
Tamlin looked surprised yet impressed. "If we marry, you know well...where my heart lies."
"You know where mine lies too."
Tamlin nodded. He knew that like him, Eris had fallen for one of the Acheron sisters and lost her to an Illiryan.
"Maybe in time that can be healed too. But for now all I want is for the court to be healed, with or without me. I'll accept your proposal."
Eris smiled. He took out the ring he'd brought to make things official. The bronze and ruby piece had been crafted to magically fit the wearer.
Tamlin smiled slightly, he seemed to like it.
"Now, Tamlin Vanserra, will you allow me to get you home?"
"You're still as cheeky as always, but yes."
***
As expected Beron had everything prepared in a mere afternoon, and surprisingly he had followed the instructions Eris suggested. Having all the dishes, flowers and decorations for the banquet be tailored to Tamlin's tastes.
The blonde was being gushed over by Imogen, who made sure he ate enough, and kept him from being overwhelmed.
Thankfully official speeches and matters of the sort were brief, and they could spend the rest of time dancing and enjoying the party. Surprisingly, Tamlin's mood did improve during those few hours.
Once the party ended he was about to pick up his drunken younger siblings, when Nemesis stopped him.
"I'll take care of the hungover babies. Go and rest with your fiance."
"Feeling extra nice or are you not sober?
"Fool, I have enough hallucinations as it is, I'm not making it worse with alcohol. Now scram."
He wouldn't argue with that. Tamlin was still withdrawn despite his better mood, Eris didn't blame him, being back here in Autumn might've brought back memories. So he took the chance to try and cheer up the High Lord of Spring.
Their new room was not as extravagant as the party, but it had a mix of dark greens and reds that was pleasing to the eyes. He'd made sure to furnish it with a writing desk and new instruments for Tamlin. The gesture didn't go unnoticed.
"You remembered my violin and fiddle. Even got a guitar as well."
"Having you play during the Spring Court events was always a highlight. Those who came from Spring said they missed it and I have to agree."
Tamlin chuckled. "You keep secrets well, Eris. This plan and the fact that there's so much about me that you knew and did not show, makes me wonder how many things you have up your sleeve."
He pulled Tamlin close by the waist, relishing in his flustered expression. "You'll come to see it all soon enough, dear future husband. This may all be a part of my plan, but I do intended to get close to you for real Tamlin. Let you see what's under the mask, if you wish to. Just trust that I am not keeping any dangerous secrets from you."
Tamlin's gaze was hopeful, it took little to earn his trust nowadays, even if hardship should've had the opposite effect. "I'll trust you, if you agree to let me keep some small secrets of my own."
"Absolutely."
He pulled out a small Hyacinth flower from his pocket, handing it to Tamlin. The bloom was blue and glowing. Eris had studied flower language before picking the flower.
"A show of caring? You're being very sweet tonight." Tamlin told him.
"Have to spoil my husband to be."
"I'll be sure to return the favor soon."
It didn't take long for them to grow tired, having danced to nearly all of the songs without pause. Eris didn't think he'd feel guilty holding Tamlin's sleeping form. He was no longer the muscular imposing man he'd met years ago. Rather he felt very thin and fragile.
'How did we all leave him to waste away alone?' He pondered. Shaking the thought away he made sure the thick fluffy blankets covered them both well, before snuffing out the candles in the room with a snap of his fingers.
Tamlin was right, he had many secrets. His plans to topple Rhysand, to take down Beron, and to help properly heal Spring were some of his most ambitious and well kept secrets. But there was one he wouldn't voice to anyone, at least not until he was certain he could reveal it without consequences.
He'd kept a torch for young High Lord for centuries, and now that he had him, Eris wouldn't be letting him go anytime soon.

Hii!! It's me, Wolf! And I'm here to tell the snippet of the fic I thought about ahaha
It's crack treated seriously (kind of) ahaha with angst
So, Tamlin is depressed, alone, and suicidal, and while he roams his manor, he finds himself in the library, where's the mural of the Mother creating Prythian, and he decides to talk to it as if he's talking to her and then he decides to sing the prayer (maybe with his fiddle) for the ones who are dying (in this case it's for him, bc he's at his breaking point and wants to take his life)
Cauldron save you. Mother hold you. Pass through the gates, and smell that immortal land of milk and honey. Fear no evil. Feel no pain. Go, and enter eternity.
But once he finishes, ready to do the deed a voice interrupts him: it's the Mother, the mural came to life, and they began to talk, with Tam telling and exposing himself bare to her.
He tells her about his guilt towards and especially Feyre (and Lucien and even Rhysand, bc why not, he's delusional, and he hates himself) and so the Mother smiles and stops him hinting that something wrong is going on in Prythian, that there is a corruption of sorts, one that Tamlin could begin to explore, but since he feels so guilty toward Feyre (Nesta words are referenced, and he does feel guilty towards her and Elain for their transformation in Fae), she then "curses" him (not really, it's more the "punishment" he desires) to force him into a woman body with these words (or something like that, this will/could change since is all a wip for now)
"You said you hurt the woman you loved, because you didn't understand her feelings, her heart, her nature, so Tamlin, High Lord of Spring, this will be your punishment you so desire, death is not for you to seek, instead I will curse you: you have lived 500 years and more as a man, son, beast and now you'll live the next five hundred as a woman, daughter, to seek to understand the feelings you didn't. Will you still see yourself as a beast once your punishment has ended?"
And so his body changes to a female version of himself, he's still the High Lord of Spring (High Lady now lol) and he can still shape-shift and use all of his powers, but he can only retake his male form for a short time (an hour or so, to be decided) and then, before leaving him, she gives him some clues and advice.
Now, this is the little premise, inside the story there'll be more of it, and I will touch on the corruption of the world of Prythian (fake bonds everyone? A certain push of narrative/fate? Why is everyone kissing Rhysand's ass?), angst, Eris will become an essential character inside it (he'll be an advisor sort of ahahaha) and so will Tarquin (new bff in town?) and Lucien and even Rhysand, and it'll have a little of all the shipping for Tamlin (My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard begins to play)
And a story that'll find a foot of freedom/comprehension for the Archeron sisters. (GET THEM AWAY FROM THE NIGHT/IC AAAA, LET THEM BE FREEE SJM!!!!)
One thing important to note (spoilers incoming) is that for a loooooooooooooong time only two people will know that Tamlin is a woman (I have ONE particular scene/event/arc in mind ahaha) and when everyone will know I will have Tamlin or Beron say (to Feyre, bc they're a little petty since the last HL meeting) "I guess now we have a real High Lady for the first time" *mic drop, boom*
And of course there will be introspection, angst, and more, and idk, it's a story that I don't know if I will end or publish, but it's and idea that I quite like!
What to you think? If I would actually end up writing it (I might have almost finished the first chapter... help) would you like to read it?
Ps: The rise of fem Tamlin that you and others have made inspired me so much with the idea of this and it's such a fun thing to explore!! (I love your Dhalia series and your Cinderella inspired story!!!)
I hope this hasn't bothered you and, as always I hope you're having a great day or night! ♥
OH
MY
*GOD*
THIS IS AMAZING I HAVE REREAD THIS LIKE TEN TIMES
Okay, the concept of the Mother 'cursing' Tamlin and giving him reprieve from the life he's lived so far with a punishment, amazing. I love that so much. This could leeway into so many things, and I love how this story includes Eris and Tarquin (They have a friendship with Tam and no one can tell me otherwise)
Overall, this looks and sounds so so so good. We need more fics where Rhysand gets his ass handed to him and the IC is called out on their bullshit.
I am so happy fem Tam is rising, we need more of her. I was enraptured by this fic idea, I cannot wait to see it executed!!
Thank you so much for sharing this! Please send me the first chapter when its ready!!

acotar tag game!
thank you for the tags @mathiwrites and @fourteentrout ! this was really fun to do, i'm always looking for an excuse to yap about my opinions
Who's your favourite ACOTAR character?
It’s definitely a tie between Lucien and Nesta! I’ve been a ride or die for Lucien since the first book, because I love me a charismatic red head, but I tend to be more vocal about my love for Nes.
Who's your least favourite character?
Oof, it would have to be Amren. I just don’t think she really adds anything to the story beyond existing to be snarky and drop lore when SJM writes herself into a corner. Definitely a character that would have had more impact if she would have stayed dead.
Say something nice about your least favourite character.
Her concept is very interesting! A creature that is not a faerie who was forced to inhabit the body of one. Who had greater abilities than anyone could dream, her only connection to the creature she was, only to lose them all at the cost of her living. Psychologically that is so cool, I would love to read more about what it meant for her mental state in the aftermath.
Who's your favourite High Lord? (If you picked one for your fav character, then who's your second fav!)
Tarquin! When he was introduced, he just instantly stole the show for me. I loved how gentle he was with Feyre, his kindness and confidence in his goals to unite lesser and high fae, and how passionate he got when confronting the Night Court.
Favourite MINOR character?
Remember the mortal that Feyre, Elain, Azriel, and Tamlin saved? Briar? Yeah, her. I’m obsessed with her story. A woman who was essentially groomed into praising the fae, learning first hand how awful they could be, and then going off to live with them in her lowest? I need more of her. I want to see how she develops. I hope she’s got a story in the future, because some main players don’t even have a name but she does! I also fuck with Jurian but I don't think he's really a minor character.
Favourite ship? (Crackships included!)
Oh there’s just so many, I can’t keep up. I think my top three, however, would be Azris, Neris, and a secret third crackship that I cooked up, Eris x Azriel x Gwyn. I call them Azrisyn in my head. I’m working on a fic. It’s a whole thing. I think I just really like shipping people with Eris.
Favourite court and why?
Spring! I love the aesthetic and how deeply magical everything was. It truly was like entering a new realm, with a new creature and magical adventure at every turn. I'm also a Winter and Autumn enjoyer.
Make up a brand new court RIGHT NOW, NO PREP JUST VIBES.
OH UHMM The Under Court. Just under the surface of Prythian, in a sprawling maze of tunnels and caverns, is a city carved of glowing stone and glistening gems. Because of the sheer size, this Court is divided into four sections, with each of these sections being overseen by a Stewart, who report directly to a (gasp) High Lady. They're called the High Council. Now I want to write this.
What relationship would you have wanted to see more of in the books?
Emerie and Azriel. Azriel has such an intense loathing for his people that it greatly effects his own view of himself. I want his arc to include him learning more about his culture, and overcoming that internalized bigotry. I want him to look into the face of someone who has been just as brutalized by the Illyrians as he has and realize that they are a people who need help out of the cycle of violence.
What's your unpopular opinion?
All of them, but my most unpopular one is probably that Cassian's wings should have stayed shredded. It made no sense for them to heal, and it would have added more to the story and his character (ie having a bridge to Nesta) to have him stay disabled.
What's your favourite headcanon/fan canon?
I love thinking about the faeries being more magical! I have a whole thread of eldritch horror-style High Lords and I think about it often. A less intense headcanon I have is that Eris has a gap in his front teeth and Gwyn has glowing freckles because I think its cute.
If you were swept away to Prythian, what's ONE thing you would want to do?
I’m shooting my shot with Lucien, so write that down. I also want to do the Winter Solstice in the Winter Court, because I feel like that would be so much fun. And then I’m moving to Dawn because I do not think I am surviving literally anywhere else. If the climates didn't kill me, the politics would.
If you could have ONE faerie ability seen in the books, which would it be?
If Helion's spell casting and cleaving don't count as one ability, then probably shapeshifting.
again, i love doing tag games so thank you for letting me! i cannot for the life of me think of who else to tag so uhm @ennawrite @wingsdippedingold @christeak and anyone else who wants to tap in?

Most disliked character(s)? Why?
Most disliked arc? Why?
Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
DAMN BABE A WHOLE LIST
FUN YES
LETS GO
What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*
I actually get them, I just don't like them most of the times lmao 😅
Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?*
Hmmm, I don't think so.
Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?
Unfollowed? 😂😂 They went straight into the gotta block 'em all bin 😂 I see a shit opinion I block 😂
Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*
Yeah probably Nessian, fucking hate that shit. Listen I never read their book but from what I have seen? Yeah no thanks, give me anything other than Nessian and I will be happy.
Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?*
Uh yes and no? In a way I would have never shipped that ship, but I can stay respectful and see the vibes they see. But once I see how they act, it's like a switch turned on and I cannot stand that pairing (yk which one, I will not name it I already got hate mail from one lmao).
Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?*
In Naruto I used to hate any ships with Sakura, but i have grown so it's not really the fandom just me and my whims I guess? In acotar? Not really, highly doubtful it will happen tbh.
Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?*
Hmmm, I think what I enjoy has stayed the same and hasn't changed from earlier. I never enjoyed pregnancy tropes and I still don't 🤷🏻‍♀️
Have you received anon hate? What about?*
I AM CRACKING UP REMEMBERING IT 😂😂😂 Yeah I got one over a funny luciengate post lmao, the person that sent me that was well not well in the head. Something bout how I should die for participating in luciengate and something something I am an Elucien (girl no I am not) and how Elriel is going to be endgame 😂 As if I give a fuck, in my head Tamcien is endgame now go eat shit 😂😂
Most disliked character(s)? Why?
Okay I have a list;
Danzo (from Naruto, glad that shithead got killed tbh)
Rhysand (honestly the guy had potential to be a good villian that I would simp for, but alas sjm failed him and this fandom does it no justice if anything they only make me hate the guy more)
Feyre (she annoys me, has annoyed me from the moment she acted shitty to Lucien and did that whole destroy Spring Court over one man, seriously girl? Just kick him in the balls and be doen with it ffs. Plus like with Rhysie poo, the fandom does it no justice it only serves to make me dislike her ass more.)
Cassian ( Honestly acowar Cassian? Loved him, from then on hate him and this fandom once again does it no justice and only serves to make me dislike him more)
Mor (she was a bitch to Nesta and said some horrid shit how she should be locked in HOW and honestly hate her whole all shit with Eris, even if he did help her she would hate him so. Plus she is hypocritical af and I cannot stand that (drink and fuck like Nesta but be free? But Nesta deserves to be locked up for the same shit? make it make sense Mor!?)
Most disliked arc? Why?
Feyre becoming high lady arc, just makes no sense? The girl literally turns fae 2 months ago and basically just learned how to read and write (and even then I highly doubt she is that good at both) and understands nothing about how fae work (see her in the high lord meeting and how she talked about Tarquin, girl you are a literal baby amongst them, Tarquin is older than your dumb ass) and she becomes a high lady? Give me a break.
Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
Tamlin and Beron, Tamlin because he is just a traumatised little man and Beron, I like him out of spite. Honestly I like both of them out of spite because of this fandoms usual way of trying to villianify Tam with shit he never did. Beron? I just like the vibes and I think it pisses people off if anyone likes him 😂😂😂😂
Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
Uhhhhh I do not think so? Idk if this is even considered unpopular or an arc but I quite like Lucien being day court heir and tbh I think he would look hot in their clothes (but also Lucien half naked? yes please I am not normal about him, I love him)

@kennedy-brooke thank you for the tag! <3 I think I've done some of these questions before but can't remember which ones lol. I answered them again (: I've only read ACOTAR so I'm limited with some of the questions. I am currently reading Assassin's Blade and have Crescent City on my kindle too.
1) My fav SJM book is ACOMF.
2) I've only read ACOTAR so by default, that's my answer.
3) My favorite character is Lucien because he's hot and a well rounded male and has such an interesting background. I wish we got to see him more in the later books.
4) To the stars who listen and the dreams that are answered.
5) I love Feysand <3 which is why I kind of struggle to write for Rhys
6) I see the appeal for Elriel but I ship Gywnriel. But would go absolutely feral for Azris.
7) Am I biased for picking Lucien? Since most of the books are in Feyre's pov, I feel like he's not given the credit he deserves. He also doesn't get as much love compared to the Bat Boys/
8) Azriel because that bonus chapter in ACOSF was not what I was expecting from him lol
9) Ianthe and I'm also not the biggest fan of Amren.
10) Az is my fav bat boy. Love that mysterious dude despite that bonus chapter.
11) Though there's little we know, Summer is my fav court and I'd love to live there. Sunshine and the sea??? That's where I want to be!
12) I don't know if they count as villains as there's little we know of them but considering they're known to be menaces, I'd say the Vanserra brothers.
13) I would've left Amren dead...it felt too good to be true when both Rhys and Amren came back to life.
14) My fav theory is that Helion and Lady Autumn are mates.
15) Feyre is my fav.
16) A character you feel is over-hated/ underrated. I would say Eris in terms of being underrated. While he's very loved in this tumblr community, I feel like he's not in other acotar communities.
17) Feyre by default.
18) What’s your favourite character from each series? Sorry, I can't answer this one.
19) If you wrote an acotar book what would you call it? idk, haven't really thought of this. Maybe A Court of Light and Shadow.
20) Who is your favourite acotar blogger? There are so many! I simply cannot choose a few. But literally anyone I reblog from.
21) I do have a sideblog dedicated to fic recs @prythianslibrary
Questions for writers
22) Easiest character to write for? Cassian!
23) Hardest character to write for? Lucien and Rhys!
24) What’s a character you’d like to write for but haven’t yet? One of the other high lords like Tarquin or Helion
25) What’s a court you’d like to write about more? Summer Court
26) What’s a character you won’t write for and why? Idk tbh. I don't think I'm strongly opposed to not writing for a character. It's just a matter if I feel like I have a grasp on their personality or not.
27) If you could only write for one character ever again, who would you pick? ugghh this is so hard. I honestly can't pick between Az or Eris.
28) Whats your favourite trope to write about when it comes to Azriel? sunshine/soft reader x grumpy az
29) What do you think is the best/favourite acotar fic you’ve written? my az x seer fic!
30) Who are your favourite friendships to write about? the Valkyries
31) For first time readers to your blog, which three fics would you recommend they read?
'Cause It Was Always You | Az
Night Out at Rita's | Az x Witch reader

I feel like most of my moots have done this so if anyone is by chance still reading this, *boop* you've been tagged!

Warning- another rambling, self indulgent post.
So, I’ve been around a while and been a part of shipping in many different fandoms, and I’ve always been like ship what characters you want and be happy. We don’t all have to agree or convince each other.
I say this because I’m about to give my humble opinion on a few acotar ships, and if you are a g*ynriel who happens to come across this, go on and be happy with your ship. Write your fanfics, draw your art. I’m glad you’ve found a bit of joy and distraction from this crazy world.
Also I am open to all kinds of fun pairings. I mean I am writing an Elain x Rhys fanfic, and I desperately want to find time to write an Aida’s x Elain little fic in my mind. I like Gwyn and Tarquin though I have no reason to, and after reading Every Rose, Gwyn x Eris has made me raise my eyebrow. Elain/Mor, Gwyn/emerie, etc there are all kinds of ships I could enjoy, but I like reading comprehension and good stories the best so….
Gw*nriwel
This is the one ship I just cannot do. I don’t know if it’s the power dynamic between the two, or the fact she is described like an adolescent in the book (coltish and young) but the thought of her and Az is just not my thing. I like the character fine, though she is written a little suspicious.
If this happens, I can’t see it being some grand love story that spans a book. I think it would have to be in the background like Amren/Varian or a hint of it happening in the future. I could be wrong. This will never be my thing, and I have no interest in reading a story about them. I’m not going to cry or rage. I’ll just move on.
El*cien
Honestly, I could see SJM making me like this fine. I like both characters, and I’m sure she could do some sort of forced proximity/ arranged marriage thing or something. But it would have to be an Elain/ Lucien POV book which means we wouldn’t get Azriel’s story. (It just feels like a book only about him would be out of place in this series)
If this happens, I’m open to it. It will never be my favorite but eh, I could see it being entertaining.
Vassien
Yes! Please! I don’t know why, but I really want this. I want to learn more about Vassa and there is something about Lucien finding his place and falling in love with a human. I mean I know he will probably end up in Day, but being chosen is what he needs.
Elriel
I went into acotar cold, completely unspoiled for the most part. I took it very much as it is read, and I just accepted Elain/Azriel were a thing. Then I started seeing the TikTok’s, reading the tweets, coming here, and I was like WTH.
I read the bonus chapter and what I got out of it was that Az and Elain want each other bad, snd Gwyn has some sus powers. That’s it.
When it comes down to it, some of the most beautiful writing/imagery in the book has to do with Elain/Az. And can we please have a friends to lovers, chosen, somewhat healthy relationship? Can we have a spy novel and learn more about the twins? I mean if they end up being mates, fine, but I want them to choose each other before knowing it.
There is just so much to do with them that would make a good story. Rhys telling Azriel to stay away, Elain’s powers, and her hints of being a spy, her being able to wield truth teller and killing the king by stepping out of a dang shadow, the court politics (you can’t tell me Beron wouldn’t want to find a way to get to Elain’s powers by declaring she is his son’s mate and belongs in Autumn) There is just to much more..
And honestly if this doesn’t happen in some form, none of their interactions, or that blasted bonus chapter will make sense. If it’s not at least addressed there will be so much left hanging that it will be ridiculous.
Also three “brothers” three sisters is not overdone, and it goes with the theme. It’s hinted so much not only in acotar but in CC2 as well, SJM might as well just came out and said it. The three most powerful Illyrians ever found each other and stumbled upon three Made sisters. Three stars, three mountains and this:
Two intersecting triangles. Male and female, dark and light, above and below … and the power that lies in the place where they meet.”
I mean come on…
But seriously ship who you want (well maybe not Elain/tamlin, please) but be kind.

I just started getting into the ACOTAR fandom- read the books, but only got into fandom since ACOSF- and started following a few blogs (like yours) from a rec. I was wondering if you could give like a crash course to the ACOTAR fandom. I’m mostly following gwynriel blogs, but seeing the drama in this fandom is A LOT. Can you help a girl out?
welcome to the madness. i too started to join into the fandom after acosf released and sometimes it’s a great decision and sometimes i question wtf i was thinking lol. anyway…
acotar fandom guide:
feysand shippers: feyre has never done anything wrong ever in her life, rhys is the feminist icon we don’t deserve, rhys is a bisexual king/wtf rhys is the straightest man to ever man you’re insane
nessian shippers: nesta deserves better than this fandom and that’s on god, why is no one talking about how hot nessian is after silver flames wtf azriel fuck off, nesta is a goddess and cassian worships her body every dayum day
elriel shippers: let me write a 10 paragraph essay on why potatoes spell true mate, did you know gwyn was a toddler and a lightsinger at the same time?! it’s so anti-feminist not to support elain and her choices, it’s so obvious elain’s book is next y’all just can’t read
elucien shippers: she. felt. him. we may not have a lot in the way of canon, but let me spread the gospel of headcanons and talk about the top 10 ways elain is gonna enjoy that firedick, i just want elain to get to know lucien but guess that means i’m misogynistic and shat all over my ancestors who marched for women’s rights
gwynriel shippers: gwyn is a manatee, az’s shadows ship them so hard you don’t even know, that whole ribbon thing is gonna get kinky just you fucking wait, that bonus chapter ended the potato famine 🙌
emorie shippers: ok but they’re gonna ride pegasus together fucking bet, not enough fan art for this bi disaster i’ll tell you that, emerie and mor are gonna be the hottest couple of prythian fucking fight me
vassien/vucien shippers: we are not elriels stfu
helion/lady a shippers: it’s the longing and the forbidden love no one can do it like them, they deserve all the good things in the world, sellyn drake has written stories about them i will die on this hill, they are gonna get their happily ever after. periodt.
tarquin stans: hottest highlord in history, a true man of the people, big dick energy, has been shipped with literally every character in the series
eris stans:

The Political Ramifications (or lack thereof) of breaking Elucien’s Mating Bond
I’d like to preface this by saying this is very much anti-elri*l, so, if you by any chance ship them and come by this post, kindly spare yourself (and me!) the inevitable annoyance and move along, please and thank you.
This isn’t a post preaching on why you should ship Elucien for political reasons, nor why you shouldn’t ship the other ship, either.
That said, on with it.
First thing I want to note is that SJM will do what SJM pleases. If she decides X thing is going to happen, it is going to happen, and she’ll just retcon or handwave it to fit what she wants. This assumes she’ll mostly keep in line of what’s been presented so far and not make too big deviations.
I want to start this with our foremost antagonist in the Prythian’s Politics plot: our one and only detestable High Lord of Autumn, Beron Vanserra. What do we know of Beron? He’s old, the oldest of our High Lords, and that matters because in this case, age is experience. Age is patience. We know the Autumn Court is extremely cutthroat, but Beron has kept it in an iron grip for centuries; he isn’t infallible, but he certainly isn’t dumb. Look at Amarantha. Even if he hated her and her rule, he knew to keep his head down and wait for the right opportunity.
He’s, at heart, an opportunist, one who doesn’t seem to like to take uncalculated and reckless risks. Beron is also ambitious and, seeing the Spring Court fall apart after Tamlin’s mismanagement and downward spiral, sees an opportunity to expand his borders and his sphere of influence. Why, then, hasn’t he seized this opportunity? Why hasn’t he gathered his armies and marched into spring? What’s stopping him?
The other courts are. Not just Night, but all of them. Autumn growing in power and a possible occupation of Spring would go against the best interests of Summer and Winter, or you think Kallias and Tarquin would simply sit by and let Beron run unchecked? They aren’t fools either, and would be aware of the danger that could pose. The Solar Courts, while more removed, also don’t benefit from turmoil between the Seasonal Courts. The Wall has fallen, they’re still recovering from the war with Hybern and the Fae Courts in the continent are watching everything and won’t sit by quietly, either.
Who benefits most from Prythian’s infighting? Koschei does, which makes him Beron’s natural ally. With an unbound Koschei behind, Beron could go up against the High Lords. But he’s still bound to his lake in the continent, so theirs is a shadowy, secret alliance as, again, the HL would never stand for it. Beron won’t go out in the open and into all out war unless he has a clear chance of winning.
Now, people say that Elain rejecting her bond with Lucien for Azriel would give Beron the justification he needs to start a war. But I pose a question: would the other High Lords buy into it? He has never cared for Lucien, what he did to him is common knowledge. Sure, he can pretend he cares for his son and that breaking the mating bond is a travesty that no Royal Autumn Male should go through (how Lucien does or doesn’t feel about it doesn’t matter), that Rhys condoned it and he’d proceed to declare war… On the Night Court?
Declaring open war on Night is counterproductive to what Beron wants is a dumb move. His excuse would not fly with any of the High Lords, even more so if Lucien also wanted to break the mating bond. Who could he even call upon as allies? Koschei, yes, but as I said, he’s still bound. Hewn City? They’re aligned with Eris, who would jump on any opportunity to overthrow Beron. The Illyrians? Sure, they’d destabilize the Night Court, but there’s still everyone else. The Fae Kingdoms in the continent? Maybe, but why not just let Prythian fight it out and invade the Human Lands?
And what of Spring in all of this? Beron can’t really fight a war on two fronts and expect to win if he doesn’t have many allies, not against all of Prythian. No, his best bet is to continue to act as he currently is: in the shadows, along with Koschei, to weaken the other courts and brew dissent to create the perfect opportunity to attack spring unencumbered.
That’s assuming Beron 100% trusts Koschei and doesn’t expect a knife in the back. All things considered, I do think Beron is arrogant enough to believe he can outsmart Koschei and set him aside when he doesn’t need his help anymore. Of course, that will prove to be his greatest mistake, setting up the stage for the finale.
In conclusion: no, Elain breaking her bond with Lucien for Azriel isn't the great, forbidden love story that will tear Prythian apart people seem to think it is.

Thanks for the tag!
Who's your favourite ACOTAR character? Gwyn Berdara 💙
Who's your least favourite character? Beron is the only living character that I actually hate
Say something nice about your least favourite character. ....... uuummm ...... He's high lord of the prettiest court? IDK there is nothing nice about him
Who's your favourite High Lord? (If you picked one for your fav character, then who's your second fav!) Either Rhys or Tarquin
Favourite MINOR character? Eris Vanserra
Favourite ship? (Crackships included!) Gwynriel (Azris in close second tho)
Favourite court and why? Autumn has my favourite aesthetic, but I'd most like to live in the Day Court.
Make up a brand new court RIGHT NOW, NO PREP JUST VIBES. Court of the sea. Not like the summer court, but a fully underwater mermaid court.
What relationship would you have wanted to see more of in the books? Lucien, Vassa and Jurian
What's your unpopular opinion? No matter how much I criticize them, I love every character (except the obviously evil ones)
What's your favourite headcanon/fan canon? That Tamlin and Rhys were ex-lovers.
If you were swept away to Prythian, what's ONE thing you would want to do? Stupid answer: Azriel and Lucien (at the same time) Serious answer: Visit the Day Court libraries.
If you could have ONE faerie ability seen in the books, which would it be? Shapeshifting
No pressure tags: @frainstryan, @helenofspartaa, @lovelygwyneth, @shadykoalaninja, and anyone else that wants 💖
ACOTAR tag game 💕
thanks for tagging me @mathiwrites ! I don't normally do these even when tagged because i never know who to tag, a lot of times everyone i think of is already tagged LOL, but i figured id start today!
I don't think I've seen one around, and figured this might be fun to do!
Answer the questions below & tag whoever you want, or make it an open tag!!
Who's your favourite ACOTAR character?
My boy tamlin!!
Who's your least favourite character?
Hm....hmmmm...oh Amren for sure.
Say something nice about your least favourite character.
She has a cool character concept and i thought it was really sweet and endearing when she gave feyre the bracelet (necklace?) to help her get through the Prison trip without panicking
Who's your favourite High Lord? (If you picked one for your fav character, then who's your second fav!)
Oooh hm not to be a copycat but I loved tarquin from the moment he was introduced, he was an instant fav and i was kind of sad that he didn't have more involvement later on that didn't have to do with the whole feyre and rhys betraying his trust thing
Favourite MINOR character?
ooh i dont know if this is minor enough but i've come to really like jurian. i didn't really have much of an opinion on him for most of the series and then for some reason in silver flames when he was in it for like 2 seconds i was like wait a minute why haven't i been more into this guy he kinda fucks
Favourite ship? (Crackships included!)
tamsand by far. though azris is becoming a close second.
Favourite court and why?
well i loved the spring court aesthetic from the first book, but at this point in the series I think I'd say maybe actually dawn. it just sounded so pretty, and i think it would be one of the subtler, less overwhelming courts while still being awe-inspiring.
Make up a brand new court RIGHT NOW, NO PREP JUST VIBES.
oh shoot um okay court of clouds?? people who specialize in wind manipulation, likely populated by a race related to the Peregryns or Drakon's race? an actual cloud court like in the sky could be a vibe I think. perhaps it would be more removed from the politics of prythian--they'd still have a High Lord, but maybe it would be more of a military government or something.
What relationship would you have wanted to see more of in the books?
oh wow i mean i am always here for more rhys and tamlin content obviously, but i would have also loved to see more of like stories and stuff about the sentries from the spring court that went over the wall, like Andras. andras and lucien's relationship in particular would be one I would have liked to know more about. I also really want to see Azriel and his mom.
What's your unpopular opinion?
god what ISN'T my unpopular opinion. hm. i think feyre's whole reasoning for wanting a baby out of seemingly nowhere is dumb. like i get it, yolo, life can be cut short, but like i really do not feel like she picked a good time to have a baby, nor do i think she is remotely ready to be a mother. when she realized she wanted kids in acofas, it wasn't a strong enough argument for me to actually like get behind her decision.
What's your favourite headcanon/fan canon?
omg i have so many I literally started a list lol. the first one on it is kind of silly, it's that Helion is actually the faerie romance author sellyn drake that nesta, emerie, and gwyn like
If you were swept away to Prythian, what's ONE thing you would want to do?
go to a festival! not necessarily something as crazy as calanmai, but i would love to go to some sort of celebration. maybe starfall?
If you could have ONE faerie ability seen in the books, which would it be?
shapeshifting without a doubt
thanks again for the tag! ill tag @cheap-spirits @achaotichuman @thedickgraysons @wingsdippedingold @hugevanserrass @lady-of-sevenwaters @the-darkestminds @msbrownwithacrown @tamlinsnailtech and anyone else who wants to contribute!! if were mutuals and i didnt tag u im sorry i tried to think of as many as possible LOL but yeah definitely feel free to contribute if you want to! this was fun

I'm sorry my post was really aggressive. I still stand by my point that it ISN'T fair to dismiss Mor's romantic feelings (or lack thereof) towards Az, but how I acted was really awful. You don't have to post this publicly, but I hope you know I'm very sorry. My intention wasn't to try to start drama, but just receive an explanation over WHY you still ship Moriel. My way of going about it was TERRIBLE. I know sorry is just a word, but I'M SORRY.
2/2 I didn’t send you three asks. I only sent you one? Just to clear that up.3/3 I also didn’t send more than one ask. :/
Okay Anon. While I find it extremely hard to believe because of the timing (especially because for as long as I have been on here, I have RARELY gotten asks, let alone 3 in such quick succession that are so similar), as well as the fact that you clearly don’t stand behind your words because you felt the need to do this all on anon/have to make sure we know that you still think we are wrong, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt & accept your apology. In regards to your question, why I still ship Moriel, @sarahviehmann honestly said it best in her original answer to you: “ACOMAF was written in a way that intended for them to be shipped. So those people spent a year building up their fanon and meta and so forth, only to have the rug pulled out from under them.”
(For the sake of everyone, I’m putting this under a cut. It got way long.)
I hated ACOWAR. I’ve made no secret of that. I’ve also made no secret as to WHY. I’ve been writing fic for this series for over a year, & heavily focused on ACOMAF. I started when there were literally 7 fics posted to Ao3. Basically all of my free time at home & all of my breaks at work were spent either writing fic, discussing the series/meta with people here/talking my poor friends’ ears off over dinner, or planning fic for characters I wanted to explore in POV fics like Rhys, Tamlin, & Tarquin. Hell, I still have a 10 chapter Amarantha POV pre-ACOTAR through ACOTAR fic that’s over half written at 16k that I originally wanted to try as a surprise for my readers. I read ACOMAF enough times that I honestly would have said that I knew those characters as well as my own family, knew exactly what happened in which chapters, & got many comments here & on Ao3 from people who felt I’d captured the characters correctly, so I felt pretty good about what to expect going forward.
When ACOWAR spoilers came out, absolutely nothing made sense with what we knew or had been prior established canon. Most of all in regards to Mor, Rhys, Feyre, & Lucien, but I’m going to specifically focus on Mor, since she’s at the crux of the issue at hand. In Mor’s case, we took a woman who is described in ACOMAF as “a queen who owned her body, her life, her destiny, and never apologized for it” & says to Feyre, “I once lived in a place where the opinion of others mattered. It suffocated me, nearly broke me. So you’ll understand me, Feyre, when I say that I know what you feel, and I know what they tried to do to you, and that with enough courage, you can say to hell with a reputation. You do what you love, what you need”, & in ACOWAR made her a victim in circumstances that make absolutely no sense for the character we had known up until that date. Queen of the Hewn City? She wasn’t even treated with enough respect to be prepared to go into a meeting with her abusers, let alone shown that she is in charge. The first real female friend Feyre has ever had? Regulated to acting like a jealous girlfriend around Cassian whenever Nesta got too close. And speaking of Cassian, it was pointed out in another post (I’m sorry I don’t have the link right now) that the Cassian & Mor moments read like they were originally Az & Mor moments & were hastily changed when suddenly they weren’t supposed to be even friends. Nothing in this book read like it had been edited for continuity.
There are many bloggers who are far more qualified than I am to speak on Mor’s coming out scene, & while there was a divide, there were quite a few I know & follow who felt it was poorly written/bad rep, & I agree with their reasoning. Besides the fact that I don’t believe for one dang second that no one in the Inner Circle at a minimum would have picked up on something bothering Mor in 500 years or that she wouldn’t have at least told them even if she hid everything from Keir, there is the fact of Azriel. Azriel is in love with her, no disputing it. But it is mentioned by Rhys that Az has always thought himself unworthy of her, & Mor says that she could take her clothes off in front of him & he wouldn’t do anything. Does that sound like someone who is trying to avoid him because she isn’t interested, or someone who is creepily stalking her? In the Nessian short Wings & Embers, Cassian speaks on their relationship as well: “He wasn’t stupid. He knew she and Azriel were … whatever they were. Knew Azriel had been in love with Mor from the moment she’d strutted into the war-camp five centuries ago. And Cassian had been jealous—of Mor’s shy glances at Azriel in those first few weeks, and the fact that his dearest friend and brother … was looking at someone else.”
I’m not going to rehash Wings & Embers or ACOMAF for you. But as Sarah said, it was clearly written with them as a ship in mind, & this is from the POV of a character that has known them since the beginning, not just a few months like Feyre.
Why I still ship Moriel at this point? Because I ship it in any form. I love her & Az together period, even as friends. This ship was one of the ways @illyriantremors & I bonded originally, before we found out how much else we had in common & she became as good as a biological sister to me (I call her my Threadsister for a reason), because we shipped it back in the beginning before there was really any fic for it because it was overshadowed by Feysand, Nessian, & Elucien. Moriel was our Nessian; the unconfirmed side-ship with so much potential & evidence to back it up. When Sierra met SJM at San Diego Comic Con last summer, SJM dedicated Sierra’s copy of ACOMAF to Moriel. Why the af would an author do that if they planned to destroy a ship in the next book from the beginning?
We still love Moriel because it is hard to let go of something you’ve loved that much after you’ve been strung along & then had the rug pulled out from under you with no actual basis in ACOMAF to say “oh, it was there all along”; like when rereading ACOTAR through the ACOMAF filter, as I like to say to people, & seeing the clues that were left to the deeper story for Rhys. For me, those were not in ACOMAF upon reading it again after ACOWAR. I noticed you using my tags in your defense of yourself to Sarah regarding why I wanted to ignore ACOWAR &, by your interpretation, erase Mor’s sexuality. If you had read any of my blog at all after ACOWAR, you would have read that isn’t true, but I’ll spell it out for you: I want to ignore ACOWAR & what it did to my favorite characters’ personalities/their interactions with each other. I want to forget that Mor’s agency was taken away from her & that she was regulated to a plot twist. I want to forget that Az has been made out to be a creepy stalker. I want to forget Rhys treating Mor like she would be too emotional to deal with the negotiations with Kier & Eris & so he & Az didn’t tell her. I want to forget Feyre using Lucien to make Tamlin jealous in the Spring Court while she dismantled it from within & putting him in danger. And so much more.
I personally hate the book for multiple reasons, ranging everywhere from inconsistent characterization to grammar/editing issues. But I’m stuck with the facts it gave us, which is why writing fic is so hard to even consider anymore. It made everything about the series, not just Mor & Az, something I no longer can love with the intensity I once did, & the fandom diminishes that love more & more everyday with their bullying of people for not believing exactly the way they do, which is exactly what you contributed to when you sent those asks to myself & Sierra. And honestly, I couldn’t care less what you think of me. But if you had even looked at one of Sierra’s actual written posts/answers to asks—just one—you would have seen how quiet she’s been about her love for them as a ship & how determined she’s been to not to offend people while she’s been trying to come to terms with losing something that has been a lifesaver for her, to the point she has mostly stopped contributing to the fandom at all. She posted two Moriel drabbles during her birthday week because she was inspired by the Azriel candle I got her for her birthday, & as she said to you in her response to your original message, they were her way of saying farewell to Moriel. And guess what: even though it isn’t canon, people liked them.
I view Mor as bi, & if she’s given a healthy, happy female love interest in a future installment, then awesome. I want Moriel at least as close friends because I genuinely don’t think Az (at least the one from ACOMAF that actually made sense) would begrudge her if he knew the truth. Would he be sad? Sure, but I think he would support her nonetheless, just as the rest of the Inner Circle would. But I have absolutely no faith that SJM will give Mor anything good because she can milk the drama and turmoil she’s created, & I have no desire to see the characters & ships (across the board) I have loved so much destroyed any further.
I think @my-name-is-fireheart put it perfectly in her chime in on Sarah’s post: “Also, we should keep in mind that Mor expresses sexual attraction to men, she just prefers women. How she feels about men romantically is also blurred, though it’s slightly more clear. She says she doesn’t think she loves Az romantically but she doesn’t want to try it just to see.” SJM didn’t even know how to break her own ship apart properly to fit what you suggested, which is a good chunk of why we are even having this discussion right now.
I know Moriel is no longer canon. Cazigan (Cassian/Azriel/Mor) isn’t canon either, but I still love that. I have enjoyed their interactions with each other more than anything else since they were introduced in ACOMAF. The entire Inner Circle made me so happy for their closeness & how much of a family they were. I feel for a plot twist & a couple extra Benjamin Franklins, SJM destroyed everything that made one of my favorite characters in the entire series who she was (a strong, independent woman who didn’t let her circumstances break her & showed Feyre how not to let hers break her) & made her a poor caricature of herself, & made Az something he never has been before either because SJM hastily had to make her new & poorly executed addition work.
I shouldn’t be surprised though. This is the woman who attempted to retcon Eris of all characters into a decent person. And also took away any modicum of being able to read Tamlin as the multifaceted antagonist he had been & just turned him into a completely hateful ass with no loyalty to anyone to further drive home how perfect Rhys is supposed to be (which he definitely is not in ACOWAR, & I say that as someone who loved the morally grey character of Rhys).
TL;DR I ship Mor with Az in any form, even as friends, Mor being bi is not an issue, & I have lost all respect for SJM as an author after ACOWAR for giving us a poorly written/poorly edited product after the anticipation/hype this book had. Make of that what you will; I don’t care. I’m out of effs to give, & your ask & the other Az one I received, no matter who it was from or what your intentions were, pretty much tipped the scale in favor of me wanting to step back even further & have nothing to do with this fandom ever again.
I would ask that next time you think you have a problem with someone (because I doubt Sierra & I will be the last people you do this to), please think about how it comes across & think about your target. Your original ask was terribly hateful, & there is no amount of apology that can take that hurt away. And you would be amazed how far a little kindness & grace when asking a question instead of an accusatory message can go.
This explanation is more than you probably bargained for when you started this yesterday, but that’s the last I’ll say on any of this.

ACOWAR - Real Talk (SPOILERS)
I don’t like using a cut but this is a long post, so I’ll use it just this once.
Everything aside, how I feel about ships, how I feel about characters, how I feel about everything, these are my thoughts.
The diversity was so much better than in ACOTAR and ACOMAF. I went into this book afraid of so many things, of so many outcomes, of so many horrors, but...I was very pleasantly surprised. I could tell Sarah tried and honestly? Thank you. Thank you for trying, even all these years later, thank you for giving me this book.
Thank you for giving me a bisexual black character.
Thank you for giving me a black character in a position of power that wasn’t demonized (Yes. That happens)
Thank you for giving me a gay brown man (I’m not sure on Thesan’s race/ethnicity 100% and I want to do research but I think he’s Hindi).
It’s not only Helion, Tarquin, and Thesan. It’s their entire Courts. Before ACOWAR, it was theories, rumors, fan casts, but now, it’s canon. It’s canon that three Courts are entirely people of color and even Kallias’s court, the WINTER COURT, has Fae of brown skin.
It’s also canon that ALL THE ILLYRIANS are brown. Every last one of them, every last one. (There are a lot of thoughts on this, but this is not the time)
And a lot more people had brown skin! Like...almost everyone. I couldn’t even tell you how many times I cried, when all these characters...started to look like me. And that’s the best way I can describe it; this euphoria, this moment where everything just stands still....and you cry.
SARAH ONLY USED TAN LIKE THREE TIMES. That’s a blessing in itself.
AND SHE NEVER USED FOOD TO DESCRIBE US OH BOY. That was probably what I was most afraid of? Reading about Helion being “dark-chocolate” or Thesan being “caramel”. Even worse, someone thinking of them like food. It’s like...fetishizing us and its icky (unless you allow someone to call you a food nickname, which is a whole different thing). But she didn’t! She just used brown...deep brown, rich brown, etc. and I liked it. (She did use honey-brown, but I was okay with that). She also didn’t use the word exotic...bless.
And she tried when it came to lgbt+ rep. As a straight person I obviously can’t say what needs to be said, but I can say what I thought. No, Nephelle nor Thesan’s lovers got names, but it was obvious that they were gay. I love how Helion, A BISEXUAL MAN, was never portrayed as a slut? He was never slut shamed? Yes, he wanted three/foursomes, but no one ever slut shamed him for it. No one ever looked down at him for liking both genders? Helion was forward with his attraction to Mor, Cassian, Azriel, Rhys, Feyre, AND THESAN. (The man has incredible taste)
I...liked Mor’s coming out story? Obviously there are things that....aren’t perfect. But I wasn’t really looking for perfect and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Probably one thing about it is I’m just sad Mor doesn’t feel like the Inner Circle won’t judge her, even when they don’t blink an eye at Thesan or Helion or Nephelle. So I hope a novella is about her, or she’s in the next series. Also the whole “me coming out would make Azriel sad” ??? 2+2=honey its your life who cares who it makes sad; just be happy.
But I’ll leave that topic for people of the lgbt+ community to dissect and discuss.
Character wise...I don’t think anyone was really, completely OOC? I think there were moments where I was staring at the character like... “Okay who are you and what have you done with so and so?” (spoiler alert, it was Rhys)
Mor hating Nesta? I don’t like Nesta, but that was a bit harsh. I think you guys were robbed of that friendship. I can see how Mor was protecting her friend, her brother, Cassian, who she’s known for centuries, against this person she’s just met but....it wasn’t really Mor-like. Especially since it came off as jealousy.
What Rhys did to Mor...was one of the most unforgivable things. I understand we’re at war, I do, but there is a line you have to draw for yourself. There is a line and bringing both of your cousin’s abusers into the same room, THAT’S THE LINE. Rhys and Azriel both betrayed Mor’s trust. And then took her safe place away from her.
And then she had to work BESIDE Keir and Eris, no longer in control, no longer in power. I just...I’m still....not comfortable at all with this. Lines need to be drawn so stuff like THIS doesn’t happen. I don’t see Rhys forcing Feyre to work with Tamlin...and yet....he brings Eris and Keir right in front of Mor? And then kind of belittles and judges for being triggered? Next (and not entirely forgiven)
Nessian and Elriel. I don’t ship them, but I feel like you guys were robbed.
Maybe it’s because I don’t ship them, but I don’t really see the set up for Elriel? I see them as the best team of besties ever. I see Elain as another sister to Azriel, someone who maybe can get past more barriers because he doesn’t like her like that. And as for Elain...guys let her breathe for a second. She’s still healing over Greyson, or whatever that miserable boy’s name is, and she still has to navigate a mating bond. I think they would be amazing best friends, because guys and girls can be best friends without them being related, but if you guys ship it....I can see it. That’s all I’m going to say.
I think you guys were cheated out of Nessian. But I don’t think you guys were cheated at all....? I don’t like Nesta, but I can appreciate a character healing. I can appreciate a character who, as the fandom says, feels too much. I can appreciate Nesta’s PTSD and recognize it. But please, recognize Cassian’s PTSD, too, thanks? He almost died too; he almost lost his wings. And that’s why neither of them have thrown each other at the other. I think it’s very obvious they have some feelings...in a slow burn kind of way. And I think this slow burn could be really good so I’m really happy for Nessian shippers.
And I don’t think Cassian was OOC. Everyone recognizes Azriel and his self-doubt, especially Moriel shippers. The main thing about Azriel and his mental block is that he think he doesn’t deserve to be loved. And I think Cassian feels that way, too, especially after failing to protect Nesta after he swore he would.
He was willing to die to try to regain some of that honor and her trust. He almost did. Like....Twice! Yes, Nesta saw her father die, but....I think it’s reaching it to say it was OOC for Cassian not to go to her. He has his own internal struggle and Feyre herself said that they needed to give Nesta space. Sometimes going to a person right away....it’s not the best call.
Jurian and Eris? No? Like I’m fine with Jurian...I can believe he was never the villain of their story. I can believe he has his own traumas and mental illness(es) and PTSD. Mostly because no matter how hard I try I can never remember what went down between Miryam, Drakon, and Jurian. I can barely remember how to spell their names.
But Eris? No. Just...him being the “not the villain but also not the bad guy in the story, more like the anti-hero”, I wasn’t buying it. It came out of nowhere and it erases Mor’s trauma and Lucien’s. Eris didn’t deserve that little bit of ‘redemption’ he got, but Tarquin deserved more page time. So can I like...trade the two?
No?? Female?? Illyrians?? My heart still hasn't recovered.
No one died? I’m not complaining, but I was sure Amren was going to die.
There are so many winged creatures now I already forgot half of them. We have the Seraphim who I was already expecting to have feathered wings. We have the Peregryms...which reminds me of Miss Peregrine every time I look at it. We have whatever the FRESH HELL HELION TURNED INTO OH BOY I HAD A HEART ATTACK. Helion’s beast form would have me running for the hills.
We have the “villains” who turned into “anti-heros”? I was more upset over the Carver and Weaver’s deaths more than anything in this book. Because their characters are always better. They only showed up to that battle to eat people, terrorize Fae, and get something out of it. The best™ kind. And then they....died. The Weaver’s death was so anti-climatic she deserved better. And Bryaxis YEETED so quick. Did we really think It would go back to that library?
THE SURIEL. RIP Suri. You will be missed. The one death the entire fandom will never be over.
Lucien. His trauma...wasn’t addressed at all. And I could let it slide...but there was time to address it. There was time before Lucien left the book to go find Vassa to address his trauma. For the love of god, Feyre saw what Ianthe almost did to him, she saw what Tamlin almost did to him...but Lucien ended up apologizing and being treated...horribly? Fix this. Immediately. Fox Boy deserved better.
Lucien suddenly being biracial. I’m not going to complain, at all, because Biracial!Lucien gave me new life, it resurrected me on the cross. But...Lucien looked exactly like Beron in ACOTAR and ACOMAF. It was just pushed so hard, that “Lucien has dark skin now”, that is was pretty obvious Helion was his father (especially when the book was suddenly screaming at us that Helion was Helion SPELL-CLEAVER).
Tamlin...Just...Can everyone just ship a bottle of aspirin to me? If you all do it, I’m pretty sure it’ll be enough to take my headache away. Hopefully. Maybe two bottles from all of you, just to be sure.
I also felt like there was a different writer at some points? And the story kind of dragged in areas? Did anyone else feel that way?
That’s pretty much it. There was so much more than I could go deeper into, but I think this is just a nice over view. If you want my thoughts on anything, feel free to use my inbox.

Salty Ask Game
HIHIHIHIHI
Ooooh these are very fun ones, LETS GET INTO IT
I am being completely brutally honest here, so if anyone disagrees, shut your mouth.
Or don't, who am I do deny you the pleasure showing off your big red clown nose and your squeaky shoes.
What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*
Honestly, I don't think there are any pairings 'I don't get' I can usually understand the reason someone will ship a couple (or more) That being said, I would rather an Elriel book over a Gwynriel book. Not because I like Elriel, but I hate it less than Gwynriel.
#FreeGwynfromtheclutchesofthatpervertedman
Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?*
Azriel and Cassian, listen if a fic I really like includes it, I will read it, but I will skim the chapters like crazy. I just cannot imagine it. They are *solely* bros to me.
Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?
Everytime I open Tumblr I block a new person because of their fandom opinion.
Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*
Feysand, Nessian, Gwynriel, Elriel, Elucien, in that specific order. Feysand, for the obvious reasons, I hate Rhysand, and I don't really like Feyre. I hate Cassian and need to free Nesta from his clutches. I really, really, really don't want Azriel anywhere near Gwyn, he literally smiled at the idea of Cassian physically abusing Nesta. Elriel, because I like neither of them. And Elucien, because free my man Lucien, Elain is going to make him eat glass and he's gonna do it, and she's not gonna even help get him to a medic.
Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?*
Elain x Tamlin x Lucien, I used to love it for various reasons and planned a fic around it. Then someone sent me various fics about it and... I'm not writing it now out of spite.
Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?*
Yes and no? I don't think any of the ships I've hated I've come to like, but fandom has shown me new ships that I now absolutely adore like Tamlin x Tarquin, Tamlin x Hybern and Tamlin x Eris.
Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?*
I'm assuming this is just going for anything in the fandom, soooo, theorising for the next book. I used to be *full* of theories and now I just... whatever SJM writes is going to suck, so I dont even care anymore.
Have you received anon hate? What about?*
Yes. My opinions. My favourite characters. My ex-girlfriend (about her, not from her). My general existence.
Most disliked character(s)? Why?
Rhysand.
If I listed all the reasons why, we would be here all day, so I'll put them in these convient links.
A list of Rhysand's abusive actions throughout the series next to Tamlin's
What Rhysand did to Feyre was NOT for her protection
Rhysand's SA of Feyre is not justified in any way
Rhysand had no right being Tamlin's Court in ACOFAS
Most disliked arc? Why?
I hate pretty much every single thing that happened to the plot post-first book, but I think the one I hate the absolute most was the villainization of Tamlin's character, just, reading Feyre's inner monologue about him makes my literal blood boil.
Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
Elain Archeron.
So many people just adore her, and then try to shove it down your throat, and then if you don't like her or criticize her behavior, you're a misogynist. It's the same line of thinking that's used to justify mindless hatred of Tamlin and the people that like him.
Again, if I went over every single reason I didn't like Elain, we'd be here all day, so here are more convenient links.
Elain is selfish, and that's what makes her interesting
Not liking or not being interested in Elain is not misogyny???
Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
Oooooh, the Valkyries winning the Blood Rite. I'm actually in the process of making a whole rant about this because the amount of tiktoks and posts I've seen that have said the Valkyries winning is 'unrealistic' and 'shouldn't have happened' makes my blood boil. Ill link the post here once I finish it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE QUESTIONS THESE ARE FUN TO ANSWER

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas Review and Spoiler Discussion!!!
Hey everyone!! Raise your hand if you read and devoured ACOWAR and loved every stinking minute of it! *raises hand 1231434241 times*
Ahh the long awaited ACOWAR, the third and final book in this trilogy. But have no fear! SJM has announced that she will be writing more books set in this world, just not from Feyre's perspective. I CANNOT WAIT YOU GUYS.
To give some thoughts for my non spoiler readers... Sarah J Maas is a queen. Her writing is liquid gold. The way she describes courts, weather, clothing--everything was just beautiful. The character development, for not only Feyre and Rhys, but for other characters as well was through the roof and truly, honestly, makes you wish these characters were real because they FEEl real. They feel like they are your own friends and family and I ended up caring deeply for every one of them. And don't even get me started on Velaris. I WISH I LIVED THERE!
Read this book. This series. Read EVERYTHING by the queen- SARAH J MAAS!
***SPOILER TALK AHEAD***
Hey spoiler peeps! SO! Where do I even begin?? Feyre begins her story trapped yet again in the Spring court. I have to say, I really, really despised Tamlin all throughout this book. The fact that he didn't understand that he wasn't making Feyre happy, that he was trapping her, and that she left on her own FREE WILL made me so angry. It wasn't until the end of the book when I actually was like, ok, he's learned, he sort of redeemed himself. We'll get more into this later.
Once Feyre and Rhys were back together my heart grew three sizes. They are just perfect together. They spoke a lot more with their minds, being Daemati, and I thought this showed just how close the two of them are.
I freaking love Nesta. I feel like if you were to tell someone this who has only read ACOTAR they'd be pretty confused, but her character development, and Elain's too was just stunning. I love how Nesta has this tough attitude about her. She's the kind of person who would say, "you can say mean things about me. But insult my family and friends? You're dead."
And don't even get me started on her and Cassian!!!!!!!!!!! I SHIP!!!!! SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! I was dying at the end of ACOMAF when she was being forced into that cauldron and Cassian was crawling for her, and calling her name. And then I was bawling YET AGAIN when the same thing was happening at the end of ACOWAR, when Nesta is about to kill the king of Hybern, having summoned the cauldrons powers, but is stopped short when the king breaks her fathers neck, killing him, and her powers are snuffed out. Meanwhile, Cassian is laying at her side, crawling towards her, his wings snapped and broken, telling her to leave him, to run, and she tells him that she CAN'T leave him. Oh my heart. When Nesta positioned herself in front of Cassian and he held her back, I was CERTAIN that Hybern was going to kill them and I was NOT ready. I was nearly bawling at this point. But thank the Mother!!! Elain!!!! She is exactly as SJM describes her as; a flower child, with flora in her mind and a hobby for gardening. But then she comes up behind Hybern and BOOM! Stabs him in the throat-- with the blade Azriel gave her nonetheless! This just proves how she isn't just a bystander, how she has faced trivialities, and hardships, and losses, and it has shaped her into who she is. I'm not trying to say that you need to kill someone to prove your strength, god no, but it was just SO SATISFYING when she stabbed the king and then hisses into his ear, "Don't you dare touch my sister." I DIED. And of course, Nesta gives the final twist of the blade that severs the kings head from his body. Just fulfilling that death promise that she made with her vulgar gesture before being fully submerged in the cauldron in ACMOAF. Loved it.
When Amren betrayed Feyre I was pissed, but only because I didn't understand what Amren intended to do. For a second I thought Amren was going to completely turn on her, and say she was fighting with Hybern, and had been this whole time. But then we realize that she just figured out the only way to stop him and his army is if she is transformed into her original body, the one that would make her forget who Feyre, Rhys, and the others are. It was a sad reality, but one they couldn't risk not having.
AND RHYS. OH. MY. GOD. When he died.... I think all of us readers died a little inside too. But it didn't actually hit me as hard as when I thought Cassian and Nesta were going to die. And that is simply because I didn't believe that SJM would kill Rhys off like that. She's a dreamer, and a lover, and I just couldn't accept that she would leave Feyre to live her immortal life without her mate! Where as for Cassian and Nesta... It just seemed like that could actually happen. Thank the Mother it did not!
The part that really killed me was when Feyre realizes Rhys is dead and is shouting, begging, for the other High Lords to do something to, "BRING HIM BACK." I was a blubbery mess. Until Tarquin, the youngest of the High Lords, steps forward and says to him, "For what he gave. Today and for many years before." And he is the first to give him an ounce of his power. This was so touching to me because Tarquin had sent them blood rubies, had thought them to be liars and thieves. But he then sees that it is not who they are, that they want peace just as he does. When all the other High Lords gave their powers I was really holding my hopes high, that Rhys would indeed survive. But then Tamlin... I was afraid he wouldn't give up his powers to Rhys, and poor Feyre Darling was begging him saying she would give him anything. And then my heart just broke further when he said to her, "Just be happy, Feyre." This is where he redeemed himself for me. That he FINALLY sees that Feyre is indeed happy with Rhys, as High Lady of the Night Court. And while he is still bitter about it probably, and is a real man-bitch to Lucien, I'm happy he at least accepts what Feyre desires now, and helped her to continue her happiness. I also thought it was neat to see the High lords give their powers to Rhys, gently pouring a bit of their magical light onto his bare throat. We didn't see this in ACMOAF since Feyre was dead so it was neat. But one thing that I'm questioning is just the whole process...If the seven High Lords can bring back the dead, why don't they do it all the time? I understand for a mortal they would be giving away their powers as they did to Feyre and they don't want that, but for a High Lord... Well, Rhys didn't steal any of their powers. So basically, if they can do this, the High Lords can never die and will always be able to come back to life, so long as they all agree upon it...Interesting. Unless there are some rules about this that we do not know of yet.
When Rhys awoke and Amren too was returned to them- that shocked me! I was-and still am- surprised that not a single one of the inner circle died or was sent back to where they came from. I'm not saying I wanted any of them too, but it all just seemed so... perfect to have them all end up back together. While Amren no longer has her abilities she had before, she is now High Fae and can maybe learn to train and fight as they would- if she even needs it. I also have to admit, that while I adore the little romances, I kind of prefer Amren on her own. She is just so independent and bad ass, so while I liked her with Varian, I'm not sure I want them to be mates.
AND MOR!!! Tell me that scene where she comes out to Feyre didn't kill you on the inside, splitting your heart into 1000 tiny pieces???? It all makes sense. Why she did what she did with Cassian to avoid being married to Eris, why she could never let herself be with Azriel because while it would mean close to nothing for her, as it had with previous men she'd been with, it would mean a lot to him. It just made my heart grow. And what made it grow even more was Feyre's reaction. She let Mor speak, and gave her the absolute most respect, understanding, and acceptance. I especially loved that she told Mor she wouldn't tell anyone, not even Rhys, which is SO important, because a gay or lesbian person should have the full right to declare the time and manner of when and to who they come out. I love that SJM incorporates this kind of diversity in her books. We also have Thesan, High Lord of the Dawn court who is gay and mated to his captain. Then there's Helion, High Lord of the Day court, who is bisexual. I adored these characters and loooooved learning about the courts more and meeting their High Lords. I really loved the descriptions of the Winter Court; the white foxes wearing little vests, the white bears, the long blue overcoats with white rabbit fur at the trims. And of course, Kallias and his wife Vivianne. I really adored them too.
And then we have those three beautiful monsters. The Bone Carver, the Weaver, and Bryaxis. I was SHOOK when Feyre realized that the Bone Carver was being seen to her as her and Rhys' possible future son. SHOOK I TELL YOU! And when Rhys quietly asked what he looked like and Feyre showed him with her mind... *heart breaks 1213344123 more times*
I was sad when he died, surprisingly. I was never attached to the Bone Carver but... Just when Feyre said that she wishes that he goes to wherever it is he imagined, since he was so fascinated by death, and she sent a prayer to him... That part got me.
When Stryga, the Weaver died... Well I was sad but only because she was fighting for the good side. I think that character is so fascinating and creepy and just... That scene in the Weavers cottage in ACOMAF is one I'll never forget for sure. And when Feyre goes back there in ACOWAR, luring Ianthe and that other guy with her, omg SHOOK AGAIN!! Feyre knew not to close the door, knowing well it would lock, and pinned Ianthe inside while telling the Weaver she brought her dinner. What a vicious, deserving death for Ianthe. Good riddance.
And that poor Suriel... I wonder what it's name was. Feyre is honestly like a disney princess, having all the woodland animals like her and get along with her. She was so respectful to ask for Helion's cape and lay it overtop the Suriel. I feel like it is a debt that no other Suriel will ever not know of or forget. And their father!!! When he came with those ships, three of which were named after his daughters my heart was aching. It just bound their bond a bit tighter, since well, there wasn't really a bond between the four of them at all before. It showed that he is sorry for not being the father he wished he could be, but that he loved them dearly, and was now trying to make things right. He was not away on merchant business as they had thought, but had heard of the betrayal of the mortal queens and sought to find Vassa and Drakon and Myriam who Lucien then brought to the battle. When he died... I mean, I wasn't super connected to him, nor were his three daughters I have to say, but it was indeed sad, just because he was there, fighting for them, loving them even as they were Fae.
And Jurian?? Thank goodness he was on the good side. I'd like to learn more about him as well as Drakon and Myriam. Their stories weren't the most interesting to me, but still I'd like to know more!
While this book surely closed some ties- more so with Rhys and Feyre. I am SO happy they live happily together, laying over Velaris. Although I'm sure they will be facing a little more turmoil in the books to come. What with the mortal queens never showing up to war and all.
Gawd I wonder what's in store for us next??? I'm hoping we see more from the inner circle. I want to see Mor happy with a girlfriend, to have her father either accept it or just be completely thrown out of the picture (good riddance again) and to have Azriel know so that he doesn't think anything is wrong with him. MAN I loved him in this book. He's so shy and mysterious and just... *heart eyes* I also hope he finds a lover-not that you need a lover to be happy but... you know. I kind of like him and Elain together... Anyone else?? I mean, he gave her his SWORD!!!! TRUTH TELLER!!! I know that Elain and Lucien are mates and all, but I said in my review of ACOMAF that it seemed to come out of now where, and it certainly didn't seem to click into place in this book. Elain did not accept the mating bond, nor did she make him food, and she hardly ever spoke to him. If anything, I think they could be friends. Perhaps this will be an example of how the mating bond is not always right, since it's somewhat connected to bearing the strongest offspring, but there's waaaaaay more to a relationship than that of course. Maybe Lucien will find some other lover/mate? I've heard others thoughts of him possibly being with Vassa?? I wonder if Feyre will free her of her firebird curse; Firebird by day, normal female by night.
I also want to see what happens with Nesta and Cassian. Because I SHIP IT SO HARD, MAN. I also want to see if Amren and Varian do end up together or not. It did indeed break my heart when Varian was pleading with Feyre and Amren saying no to her going into the cauldron. But still... Amren is so strong and sassy she can be a bad ass High Fae all on her own without any man.
AND UMMM Lucien is related to Helion!!!!!!!!!!! It all makes sense... He doesn't look like any of his brothers or his father, and this would explain why his fathers and brothers hate him so much. His mother had an affair with Helion, who doesn't even know that Lucien is his son!! How will this play out??? Will Lucien find out somehow? Will he be told? Will Helion discover it?? ORRRR!!!!! Will Helion die, and then boom the new High lord of the Day Court is Lucien and he didn't even know.... THAT would be a shock for him to say the very least.
Also can we talk about the glorious fan art???? It's basically exactly as I picture the Inner Circle to look. Charlie Bowater is seriously talented. Her recent work has Cassian in a man bun-- Like Guys COME ON!!! *heart eyes x 1000* I seriously need the colouring books now, both ACOTAR and ToG. I neeeeeed themmmmmm.
And speculation on an ACOTAR movie??? I mean HELL TO THE YES but the casting would need to be spot on AND it would have to be really, really true to the books. Not holding anything back just to make it suitable for all audiences. War is bloody. War is brutal. It can't be toned down. And for the sexy time scenes well... Maybe it would be sort of like an HBO show ;)
WELL. That was a long one. I love Sarah J MAAS' books. I always thought I loved Throne Of Glass so much more... but now they are pretty even. I can't wait for the next instalments, although it is going to be VERY difficult to wait all the way until 2018 for them. In the meantime... Guess I'll just be rereading them and reading up on some theories for the latter books! What are yours??? I've read some theories for connections between the ToG and ACOTAR universe and it's mind blowing guys, mind blowing.
1000/5 Stars on glorious Star Fall in Velaris. *sighs* Now on to bingeing all the ACOWAR reviews, and perhaps buying an ACOTAR universe themed candle, while I remain in what may just be my largest book hangover yet.... although EoS did give me a huge one too.
What are your thoughts on ACOWAR? I'd LOOOOOVEEE to know and talk all about it! Send me a message or reply to this chat!
As always, thanks for reading.
