chapter 5 of “love, like sleep to the freezing” is 6,793 words long. (chapter 4 was roughly 5.5k)

there is no smut in it, just a retelling of the guanyin temple scene from jgy’s pov with some parts edited out for redundancy or swapped around to account for A Change I Made

i wrote this all in the last 24 hours

#bun speaks #god #i was having some trouble figuring out how to start this last night i thought it would take me all weekend #it sure. did not.#bun writes #mdzs fanfiction #i’m actually debating on removing some of it #just because i feel like some of it is not important to the story i want to tell #i don’t want it to be a synonymous version of the original necessarily #but it feels wrong to remove some parts of it #because of what it does for jiggy’s character #this is part of why i’m struggling so much with the ending to wi3 #i wrote it different on purpose and i don’t think it’s bad but #it doesn’t feel right idk #i need to have a longer think on wi3’s ending #but after i finish this
