alhaitham strikes me as a disinterested king, in that he has no taste for all the frivolities that come with the title. he’s more than content to pour over paperwork and sit in meetings with advisors so he may be a strong and powerful leader but hates the idea of attending balls and galas. though, he does it anyways, his face a bit sour and skin itching from the tight, overly ornate clothing he wears. his partner would be from an arranged marriage, one that had been in place since he was a young boy. he falls in love with them faster than he’d ever imagine. it’s a peculiar sort of thing but it pleases him all the same.

kaveh gives me !!! gullible prince vibes. like, he falls for scams and is a bit naive when it comes to problem solving but he’s quite endearing. he’s well beloved by the realm and quite the romantic too.
