Just watched the extended cut and I’m sure at the end colt would definitely ask Jody for those sponge baths that she was talking about! And he’d regret not letting her take care of him before. What are your thoughts on the extended cut and specifically this scene? I think they should’ve kept this scene because it tells us how vulnerable colt felt after the accident.

I love that clip!!!! It’s so sweet and shows how much Jody cares for Colt and how there was nothing she wasn’t willing to do to help him, and also how he felt like she wouldn’t have been able to handle the tougher stuff with him and pushed her away to spare her. Colt doesn’t talk much about life after his accident, but it’s obvious that he pretty much dealt with all the fallout alone because he didn’t think anyone else should have to go through it with him. This scene says SO MUCH about both of them, and even though I understand why they cut it, I wish we could have had this scene in the full cut!
