I HAVE to say Chapter 3: The Princess and the Dragon. what can I say, I think The Long Quiet is big sexy and we don’t get to look at him full-on anywhere else!!

Chapter 2: The Nightmare for sure. It just feels… not scary! And I’m a huge weenie so that’s saying something! It needed more buildup. I didn’t feel really threatened, even despite the best efforts of VotParanoid’s delivery when the Nightmare got too close. Maybe it takes longer for the Nightmare to jump you if you walk around a bit in the maze. (Then again, I’m sure Black Tabby made it the length it was for a reason so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

(Explore) Who's your favorite Vessel?

Honestly? Damsel, possibly. First Vessel I got in the very first demo, for one thing! The skin of the construct feels particularly close, with her. She doesn’t want to hurt The Long Quiet, so — in concert with his actions — she becomes something that can’t hurt him. Her route is genuinely unsettling. (Shout-out to Smitten for selling the creepy, lmao.)

Do I have a least favorite? Hmmm… I mean I don’t vibe with the Tower but that’s just because I want to be the dommy mommy, I don’t think that’s a problem with her.

Broken, but specifically in his own route. Idk I think if he was more overtly needy it might be more compelling. I get that he’s the part of TLQ that doesn’t want to be hurt anymore, but c’mon dude.

(Even so, I love how the Voices are all parts of a whole personality, I love how they’re both reflections of the player/TLQ and shards of the Narrator/Echo. The Narrator can control TLQ in chapter 1, but after that, the Voices take over. It’s such a great ludonarrative integration.)

- some things that were planned that they didnt get to see:

the carnival itself had a place in the initiative order (environment would have shifted and changed etc)

bizly assumed they were going to kill the groundskeeper- if that were the case, 3 more of the exact same guy would have showed up (to push the fear factor/show just how powerful things are in the spirit world. they wouldve kept multiplying until there was an army of them AND the environment would have been actively working against them etc. that fight couldve been sooooo much worse)

they got REALLY lucky with the hall of mirrors: if they wouldve failed the save their fears wouldve started attacking them (they could each only see their own fears, so to the others it would just look like they were swinging at nothing if they tried to fight back)

- charlies only complaint about this episode was "you need to beat the shit out of us more" LMAO

- condi, about ashe: im really looking forward to a situation where you have to use the full extent of these powers (<< referring to the book)

YAAA THE ROYALTY AU (which is also a little medieval, it's like both so it's okay adsjkvnask)

baghera is the queen of her own kingdom!! everyone is human in this au but they have magic they specialize in and can create items to give them things that are sort of like wings!!

philza is a special case tho because his wife is the goddess of death so maybe she blesses his cape to act like wings or something... since baghera is a queen im sure she has the resources to find someone to make her a cape or item that works like wings because i feel like something like that would be super hard to make.

jaiden is a witch in this au and she doesn't live in any kingdom!! she lives sort of by herself surrounded by a rose garden and she uses a lot of nature magic which is focused on birds!! because of this and how long she's been studying it she's able to enchant herself a cloack that allows her to glide short distances :DD more similar to the paraglider in mineraft then an elytra. the feathers she used for her cloack were all shedded feathers she gets from her bird friends :]]
