"don't you trust me?" avery mocked, eyes flicking skyward as she groaned. "i think that answer is quite obvious, don't you? did you not know i would've done anything to make you happy? if only you could've done the same for me." they had only gotten close recently, and though avery tended to keep people at bay, she had let them in. they had won over a piece of her heart, and she could've been devastated when they wrecked it — she prefers to make them reap the consequences instead.
