no but like melissa's story is so tragic and nobody fucking acknowledges it. first, she's a descendant of the ultima line which already means she has tragedy painted in her history. THEN she gets a little brother and has to be basically a parent to him as their parents go away so often. also she mentions that originally, before they became billionaires, they weren't actually all that well off. THEN she's seperated from her brother and sent off to boarding school, NOT TO MENTION THAT HER BABY BROTHER IS AN ULTIMA. which means they have to protect him at all costs WHICH MEANS SHE WAS TAUGHT TO SACRIFICE HERSELF FOR HIM.

then she's brought into her parents' job and they won't even let her inherit it bc they want to give it to aaron for some fucking reason???? are they misognistic I DONT KNOW but anyways. so she her job and she's the CEO of their company but then after being so seperated from her brother he nearly fucking DIES????? and so she's the one that has to keep visiting aph to give her updates. her one lucky break is getting with this one witch girl for the holidays and she has a grand old time until her brother nearly kills his best friend and THEN she gets told by her dad that her brother's best friends were EXPERIMENTED on as kids which is directly tied to them being ULTIMAS, and then melissa and her entire family are painted as villains and have to go into hiding, melissa injures her arm, and her father hands himself in.

THEN SHE NEARLY DIES. SHE SACRIFICES HERSELF FOR AARON AND NEARLY FUCKING BLEEDS OUT. SHE SPENDS THE REST OF THE SEASON UNCONSCIOUS AND ON THE VERGE OF DEATH, AND WHEN SHE WAKES UP, HER DAD'S DEAD, HER MOM'S DEAD, HER BROTHER DOESN'T HAVE ANY FUCKING MEMORY AND SHE'S ALL ALONE AND I WILL NEVER STOP BEING EMO ABOUT IT
