she's one of the founders of the colony, so she has no family when she shows up. she becomes a warrior, becomes mates with the medic, has four kits, and gets promoted to deputy. life is good, right?

then her daughter dies. straight up disappears in the middle of the night (along with a big chunk of the clan) and is never seen again. then her mate And another daughter die from eating tainted prey. after that, the leader--her former mentor, someone she had a very strong bond with--is killed by rogues. literally a month later, her only son gets greencough and dies.

now she's struggling with her grief and trying to lead the group at the same time. her only surviving child is cold and angry that she didn't pick her as deputy. she doesn't even LIKE her new deputy, she just chose her because she was one of the few cats qualified for the job. please keep haystar in ur prayers she's going thru it rn
