You know I have this random idea... What if one of the scientists in hero's duty just goes, "You know, this is the next step in evolution. But outside of gameplay, they're technically forced to do the cutscene, where they make the final decision to transform into that, behave nothing like a cybug, can constantly switch between phases like some form of a final boss, mostly eats the other cybugs, just like another countermeasure against the d*** things, but it's mostly chill,... Still on the Oligarch mission (I like to explore) and when trying to blow up the cars I not only set off a car alarm to alert the Konnis I was there, I also made them blow up the cars, one by grenade, the rest by taking an explosive drone to the face but being 100% ok cause I was wearing 3 armored chest plates.

Headcanon (I guess???):

When the swap brothers were younger (like ages 12 and 8, for example), Sans (the older one) hit his head pretty hard, and Papyrus had called for help since he was bleeding (not too badly, but definitely not a safe amount) and not waking up when being shaken and having his name called out for. After being admitted to the emergency room, Papy was told that Sans had damaged a major part of his skull, causing significant damage to the part that deals with aging (in humans, the Frontal GM of the brain), causing him to have a slight age regression sort of situation.

His age regression isn't his fault, and he doesn'teven do it on purpose, so whenever he's acting even the slightest bit childish (whether it's just him or not), albeit not even realizing it, everyone has to be careful with what they say and how they say it, to be sure that he doesn't get too upset.

And that's why I think (or headcanon) Blue acts the way he does (sort of?) in Underswap— due to a major head injury that messed him up a bit. Although he has mature moments, like scoldings, acting professional, or in dire situations, he becomes "the bigger man" and takes care of said situation.
