Personally i headcanon that most features are retractable. There's also people like Cayde who straight up don't use helmets, or have personalized ones with specific spaces to fit the features
How do you think Exos manage to get their heads in their helmets when they have horns/other head features that Definitely Would Not Fit in a helmet?
