First off I'm really happy to see someone's still writing for MK11. It feels like everyone's dropped the game for the new one. So thank you. Second I would like to request MK11 Hanzo x fem reader fluff where reader found out she was pregnant and is really worried about telling Hanzo.
MK 11 is near and dear to me because it's what got me back into the franchise back when it first came out. At first I loved D'Vorah but then I got attached to Hanzo and Kuai's dynamics and then when Mileena came back? Ugh! Love!

Hanzo x Fem!Reader
TW/CW: A little angst, fluff, pregnancy stuff! (Maybe an implied age gap between Reader and Hanzo but nothing specific, though Reader is definitely over 20)

Your nerves were eating themselves alive, feeling frayed at the edges as you plucked the edges of your sleeves in your anxiety.
How were you going to tell him? Ugh!
You could have sworn it was a safe day for you, when you were with him last... week? A few weeks ago? By the Elder Gods, how far were you along? The flimsy pieces of plastic you got at the store when you ventured into town on a "girl's trip" with Sonya couldn't predict that...
Sonya patted your back, the older woman smiling in sympathy, "Hey, I know how you feel. Cassie wasn't planned at all. Trust me, kid."
"I... It's just..." Your voice trembled almost as much as your hands holding the pregnancy test did. "What if he... what if he doesn't want it? After losing his wife and son, I... what if he doesn't want this--want us anymore--because he's afraid?"
"You sound like you already made up your mind about keeping the baby..." Sonya murmured softly.
You nodded, lifting your gaze to meet hers. You were sitting in the bathroom in she and Johnny's hotel suite--they were in Japan for some film shoot--your voices echoed softly off the tile walls and floor.
"I did. Is it... bad that I want this?" You asked her, chewing your bottom lip.
"No, no. no. Listen--" Sonya took the test from your hand carefully and laid it on the counter, before taking your hands in hers. "You're perfectly capable of making a decision like this. And... On the off-chance that Hanzo doesn't want this... Johnny and I will help you out. You deserve that."
"R-Really?" You asked her as your voice began to quiver. "You... You'd do that?"
"Hell yeah I would. You're one of the best operatives we have. A good fighter, great defender of Earthrealm. And... you're going to be a great mom. I'd be a major bitch if I just kicked you out after doing this with you without helping in some way."
"Think you mean General." You sniffled, smiling at her; your eyes misty with emotion. You never expected in your military career that the Sonya Blade would be one of your biggest supporters in this kind of event in your life. But... here you were.
Sonya grinned. "Damn straight. Now... if you need to, think about it before you spring it on him. Rehearse what you have to say before telling him if you gotta, okay?"
"How did... you tell Johnny about..."
"Oh, I threw the pregnancy tests at his big fat head and said "Congrats, you knocked me up, jackass"." She chuckled nostalgically.
"You did?" You gasped.
Sonya turned to you with a grin. "Yep. Shithead started crying right on the spot."
She cuffed you on the shoulder whilst you shared a laugh.
"Go and get a good night's rest, honey. You're gonna need it."
It had been nearly two days since your talk with Sonya. You had rehearsed in your head every night since over and over and over until the wee hours of the morning what Hanzo might say, and what you in turn would say to him.
But imagining the scenarios was enitrely different than putting them into action yourself...
You and Hanzo had been walking through the Fire Gardens, watching the Sakura blossoms shake and fall loose around you in a mix of velvety pink and white. It was beautiful, and a scene you normally would find very relaxing--if it weren't for the heavy iron blanket hanging in the air--the tension was so thick you weren't surprised Hanzo picked up on it.
"Something is bothering you." He said softly, his warm palm squeezing yours as you walked.
"...yeah." You answered truthfully, squeezing back.
Hanzo tugged your hand up to his chest, bringing your slow, leisurely walk to a halt. His deep, thoughtful eyes affixed their gaze to yours, imploring you. "Speak to me, my love. Please."
You felt your heart patter in your ribcage anxiously as his request hung in the air. Long, agonizing minutes stretched on for what felt like hours.
"Hanzo..." You managed to get out, despite your tongue feeling like sandpaper.
"I'm pregnant."
And with those two simple words... it was like the universe around you came to a floundering halt.
"...What?" He whispered, dropping your hand and taking a step back.
The absence of his touch filled you with fear, made you grow cold. Were your fears right? Did Hanzo not want this? You? The baby?
"You're... pregnant?" He whispered, his voice so soft you could just barely hear it over the branches in the trees creaking in the early summer breeze.
You nod, swallowing at the stone lodged in your throat, "Yeah..."
Once more the agonizing silence swallowed you both, the yawning chasm of anxiety etching itself deeper inside of you with every second that ticked by.
As you opened your mouth to speak, Hanzo closed the gap between you, crushing your body against his in a fierce, caging hug. His arms felt like the steel jaws of a bear trap as he held you, nearly squeezing the air from your lungs as he buried his face in your hair.
The silence still stretched on, however this time, you realized, it was not because Hanzo was upset or angry--but because he was crying.
His body trembled only slightly, his muscles straining to hold you without crushing you any more than he already was.
"Hanzo?" You whispered, your hope soaring even just a tiny bit.
"I love you." He croaked, his voice so rough it made you want to cry, "I love you more than life. I lost everything I loved... Quan-Chi turned me into a soulless, undead slave... I never thought I would be so happy again, as long as I lived. And... And then I found you."
He pulled back, one of his hands cupping your cheek; his thumb sweeping away one of the fat tears that tumbled down your cheek. His eyes were glassy and full of his own tears, but he had the warmest smile you'd ever seen on anyone.
"I love you so much, my fire lily. My heart." He rasped, his lips quivering even the slightest bit.
"Have you... decided what you want to--"
"I want to keep the baby, Hanzo." You blurted, your heart pounding and your blood rushing in your ears.
He sighed, his eyes soft and loving as he looked at you. "I... I am not surprised you have already made up your mind. You have always been so sure and confident. It is one of the many reasons why I adore you."
You smiled back, "I... I want this, Hanzo. I want our baby. I want... I want you with us, too." You licked your bottom lip.
"If you want us."
Hanzo responded to you by pulling you close and kissing you until your breath left your body; his tongue twisting and dancing with yours before brushing your lips as he pulled away, leaving you almost dazed and light-headed.
"I would let Kuai Liang freeze me to a block of ice and leave me on a desolate mountain to be eaten by wild animals before I let anything tear the two of you away from me." He said resolutely, his eyes steely and adamant.
Your body sagged with relief--literally--and you found yourself supported by Hanzo's strong embrace, your legs feeling like jelly and nearly giving out beneath you. Hanzo chuckled fondly as he rubbed your back to help soothe you.
Your name left his lips like a reverent prayer--and you lifted your head to look at him, tears now freely falling down your face as you smiled gleefully, "I--I was so scared.... Af-after what happened to you before, I... I was scared..."
"That out of fear for losing the two of you, I would run? Send you away for your safety?" He chuckled, as if the very notion was ridiculously insane.
"Never. It would take armageddon for something as cowardly as that. And maybe not even then."
You sniffed and hiccup, your mind a whirl of emotions as you began to break down once again, letting Hanzo hold you as he soothed you, spoke to you, and said the most romantic things you'd only read about in books.
He was happy. He wanted you and the baby. He was excited about having a family once again.
Hanzo Hasashi would once again get to feel the joy of seeing his child enter the world, getting to hold them; hearing their sweet cries as air filled their lungs.
He would get to be a father--and hopefully husband--once again.

Dance
Mizu X Fem!Reader CW: N/A WC: 1.6k+
Sticking my finger in between the collar and my neck, I tried stretching the fabric out so I could have some breathing room. I let out a sigh as it was futile. Trying to blend in in London was a lot harder than it was in Japan. Maybe it was because I had to wear completely different clothing and still pretend to be a man as well, since women were treated practically the same as in Japan. Not to mention I was also half Japanese and raven black hair wasn't really common among the white folk. Brown was, but not black like mine. Not to mention I had to wear it down and not in my normal bun. I still stood out like a sore thumb, but at least my eyes kind of matched theirs.
Sighing, I looked at myself in the mirror that was in front of me. This ball, this dance I was attending apparently was where Skeffington was going to be. Fowler made sure of it. I still don't trust him. But if I am able to get to both Skeffington and Routely through Fowler, I might as well keep him alive. If I can get all three of them in a room together, that'll be even better. Three birds with one sword. Getting ready, I made sure I had my sword on me before giving myself one more glance in the mirror, catching something from the corner of my eye.
"Who's there?" I turned, my hand on the hilt of my sword.
Scanning the shadows, someone came out. They were wearing a poofy and long dress, similar to the ones I've seen the ladies wear here.
"Y/N?"
"Mizu," she smiled.
"W-What are you doing here? I thought you left Edo and went back with Ringo."
"Nope. I followed you."
"Why on Earth would you follow me?"
"You need someone to watch your back."
"I am more than capable of watching my own back, thank you very much."
"Mizu, this isn't Japan. You're in London."
"I am well aware of that."
"They have guns. You have a sword. They're technologically more advanced than you are right now. And right now," she pulled the dress back a bit, revealing a gun strapped to her thigh. "You're going to need all the firearms you can get. You will never raise a gun, I know that much."
"I did back at Edo when fighting Fowler."
"But did you shoot it?"
"No."
"Exactly. You use your sword and I will use the gun. Understood?"
I sighed. It's not like she can go back to Japan. I can't ensure her safety getting there either. So she had to stay with me. No. She has to stay with me. I can't afford to lose her.
"You stay beside me no matter what. Is that understood, Y/N?"
"Yes, Mizu."
"Good. I don't want you wandering anywhere without me."
She nodded her head. Letting out a sigh, I extended my arm out for her. Locking her one arm around mine, we walked out of the room and towards the ball down the street. It took a lot of negotiating and talking, but Fowler was able to ensure we got in without any trouble. This was definitely going to be an interesting night. I just hope it doesn't go to shit and one of ends up injured. If anyone was going to be injured, I was going to ensure it would be me. No one lays a hand on Y/N.
Stepping into the giant castle that held the dance, I found Y/N gasping from the corner of my eye. I couldn't deny it, this place was a sight to behold. A wonder in and of itself. It made the palaces and castles back in Japan look like a house. No wonder the white people wanted to have ballroom dances every so often. They had to get use out of it. Or else there would be nothing to fill this much empty space. There were people going around with trays in their hands, some drinks on them. Y/N was about to reach for one, but I stopped her.
"You're not going to like it."
"What do you mean?"
"We're not from around here. We need to blend in. And we won't blend in if we drink their drinks and be sick all night because of it. They don't drink sake. They drink some other form of alcohol that I am not familiar with."
"Come on, Mizu. We can't indulge ourselves every once in a while?"
"Back at home, yes. But we're not at home, are we, Y/N?"
"We'll be fine," she said, removing her arm from around mine and disappearing into the crowd.
"Y/N? Y/N?! Fuck!" I darted off into the crowd, trying to find her. It should be easy, since she wasn't anywhere near as tall as the people here.
Making my way through the crowd, I still kept an eye out for Skeffington. He was tall, so that was one thing that was going for me. Everyone here was tall, which didn't help. Almost bumping into everyone there, I eventually bumped into the right person. Well, one of them.
"Pardon me," a tall man said, smoothing out his suit.
Narrowing my eyes, it was him. It was Skeffington. Fowler described him perfectly and he matched every detail. The only thing that we had in common was our height, as Fowler stated back in Japan. Standing straight up, I stuck my hand out. Peering down, Skeffington shook it.
"Pleasure," I said.
"Night is wonderful, is it not?"
"I guess you could say that," I said, turning towards the crowd of people. He did the same.
"Who wouldn't love a dance tonight? It's a perfect night to do so," he chuckled, holding a glass of something that looked to be a yellow color.
"I'm sure there are other perfect nights," I said, trying to go along with him.
"There are, but tonight is especially perfect."
"What makes you say that? I think all nights are perfect."
"Well, there are reasons to celebrate."
"Celebrate what exactly?" I slowly turned towards him.
"Does there need to be a specific reason to celebrate? We're in London!" he turned towards me.
His breath reeked of alcohol and it made me want to gag. It wasn't the best smelling alcohol, I mean, what alcohol smells good?
"Go, my friend! Dance! Celebrate!"
He shoved me towards the dance floor, which I stumbled slightly. Getting my footing, since I was not used to my entire feet being covered, I slowly started to make my way around the crowd again, trying to find Y/N. Walking through the people on the dance floor, the live band playing started to get into a slower song, one that was obviously meant for couples. Even though I didn't take it to be that kind of ball. But again, this is London. Briskly walking off the floor, someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me back on. I thought it was Y/N, but it was someone else.
"Well, aren't you a dashing young man," the woman smiled.
"I-I--uhm," I struggled to find the right words.
"Come now, don't be shy," she said. "Come take a dance with me."
"I-I must decline," I respectfully pushed her away. "I am looking for someone."
"They can wait, dear. Have a drink! Dance. Stay a while."
"I-I really must be looking for my--"
"Hey!"
Marching over was Y/N. I let out a sigh of relief as she stood in between me and the other woman.
"Well, look who came barreling in," the woman smirked, trying to be funny.
"Step away from him," she slurred.
How many drinks did she have?
"You're too drunk, hon. You should probably head home, where it's safe. You don't want anyone taking advantage of you."
"You better back the fuck up," she swayed here and there.
"Y/N," I reached over and grabbed her shoulder, pulling her towards me. "Let's get going. You need to rest."
"Hold on, Mizu. I gotta teach this bitch a lesson."
"Excuse me?" the woman gasped.
I couldn't help but smile. Who knew Y/N was a protective drunk. I just hope she doesn't pull out the gun on this woman.
"Yeah. You heard me. You're a bitch. But not like those big ones that are scary. More like those little ones that are yappy. Annoying to listen and look at."
The woman scoffed, "I'll have you know--"
"'i'Ll HaVe YoU kNoW'," Y/N said in a mocking tone.
I placed my hand over my mouth, trying not to laugh at the situation.
"What are you laughing at?" the woman pointed a finger at me.
"I-I'm sorry," I said.
"Hey, don't point your finger at him. Only I can do that."
"What? You order around this stick of a man?"
"I'll have you know, Mizu is not a stick of a man. He's quite athletic."
"Oh, now why don't we have a look see," the woman stepped closer to Mizu.
"Hey, back off. No one touches him other than me."
"And does he like touching you when you're drunk?"
"Fuck yeah. We get down and dirty," she started to thrust her hips and some blush started to crawl onto my cheeks.
The woman was disgusted and walked off. Y/N turned to face me, perking up and smiling at me.
"Were you drunk?"
"No," she said.
"So you acted drunk?"
"Yep," she flashed a proud smile. "No one touches my Mizu."
A soft smile appeared as I took her hand, "And no one touches my Y/N."
The music started to slow down to a soft melody, one where someone could fall asleep to, or dance to. Still holding her hand, I bowed to her.
"May I have this dance, Y/N?"
"Of course, Mizu."
We walked out onto the dance floor and danced with the other people there. My one arm wrapped around her waist while her one arm wrapped around my neck, the tips of her fingers digging into the back of my hairline. Our other hands intertwined with one another's and we started to spin and sway with the music. She leaned her body into me, the side of her head nuzzling against mine. I smiled, closing my eyes, enjoying this moment together. It was rare for us to get any semblance of peace. Tonight was going to be that night where we relished it in. In each other.

The Japan Trip... Summarized, because I was having a hard time writing this without over analyzing details!
------------------------
Donnie carried Shelldon back to the lair to tell the family about Shelldons dream.
Only to meet a confuse and slightly annoyed Raph at the entrance to the common area.
Donnie: What's the matter Raph?
Raph: Let's get everybody first, I don't want to try explaining this twice.
They get Leo, Mikey, Splinter, April, and the Caseys to the family room.
Raph: Okay so I was doing some post workout meditation, when GramGram visited me looking very annoyed. Telling me about some other ancestor who was complaining about something, and wanted the Head of the Family to cast judgement or something.
Leo: Okay, so why come to you? How are we supposed to find the Head of the Family?
Raph: GramGram said Pops is the head of the family, because he's the only senior member of the main branch still alive.
Everyone: What?!?!
Raph: And the ancestor wants us to go to Japan for whatever the problem is.
Donnie: Is now a good time to mention Shelldon had a 'dream' of being visited by and ancestor who was very annoying and rude?
From there they planned for a few possible reasons for the trip, got their cloaking broaches and told their bosses or employees they might be gone for a while because of a Family Problem.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Portal to Japan by Leo, and some confusion with direction later...
Splinter: You had us dragged here because your Son doesn't want to follow the Hamato traditions, that are no longer necessary?
Distant Aunt: What do you mean 'Not Necessary' the Hamato traditions need to be upheld, and honored now that the clan is in shambles!
Splinter: The 'Tradition' you speak of, is to guard a piece of Fake Armor like it's real, and force him to not become a Josou, or would you prefer Otokonoko?
DA: My Son will not be an Okama!!!
Splinter: You will not raise your voice at me! Or you will no longer be considered even a Branch Hamato!(DA backs up looking horrified) Now you will shut up about a long dead tradition, and let your Son do as he wants.
The Aunt nods her head still horrified that she could be kicked from the family.
Splinter: Now you must remember, I was an Actor for many years, and have had to dress in drag for a number of my early rolls, and even when I made it big. Yet that doesn't effect my position in the family. So again stop this nonsense, and let your Son live his life how he wants. The Foot Clan no longer seeks the Armor anyway.
From there they met the other members of the family, the Son in question had a lot of fun with Leo and Donnie giving lots of advice and tips for makeup and clothes.
Mikey learned some of the 'family recipes', while Raph talked with some of the athletes.
The rest just chated and got opinions on the Aunt, general consensus is she's just very uptight, and actually married into the family, not born into the family.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From there they spent the next week or so exploring Japan in general. Seeing the sights, going to the theme parks, a couple of random festivals and events.
Of course going to the Yokai Cities to check things out. Visit a Japanese Yokai Wrestling League for Raph and Cassandra, some farmers markets to get new ingredients, and stuff for Donnies Greenhouse.
And a trip to Visit Usagi and his family. Who also asked if Leo was asking for permission to marry Usagi.
It was an amazing trip none the less.
Even if it was odd having to explain the two robots who were with them the entire time.
The branch family doesn't know about the mutation just yet. It's still up for debate.

😜P Power😜
Personal... You freaks🧐
Saying this now, unless I specifically GENDER something assume it is automatically gender (and sex) neutral. Gender, sex, and expression are not, and never have been the same.
🤩I think Pluto in Pisces will show both an exasperation and increase focus on mental + spiritual health. Besides the spiritual and metaphysical properties of Pisces, it's also the sign of the unconscious and the fears that we have. Last Pluto in Pisces we saw a lot more asylums built, increased paranoia, and cases of mass hysteria. There was a vast increase in social stigmas related to certain spiritual beliefs and straight up massacres in some areas of the world. Pluto is still a planet of extremes and whatever it gives a boon in socially/ spiritually, it also grants a struggle with on a physical level.
🤩I have no idea if it's because my Pluto is conjunct my Venus, but 10th house Venus definitely have issues with women in authority. It's been a constant theme in my life were women in positions of authority have abused their power and some have even try to sabotage my own endeavors (work wise, socially, even school wise).
🤩Another Pluto/Venus note is that men will have the opposite reaction. They tend to want to give more, be kinder, or over all be more protective over you. It might be that because Venus is a feminine planet and Pluto is the planet of extremes, Women (regardless if they are more masculine or feminine) tend to struggle hiding their feelings towards the native more, while men (regardless... Again), tend to be more expressive around the native and find comfort in that.
🤩The degree of your Saturn shows the personal energies, places and thoughts you may struggle more with.
😍You would look to the sign that's correlated to the degree and the themes it holds for the energy/place/thoughts that bring discomfort.
😍19°-> Since this degree is linked to Libra, one might find that beauty and relationships are a big focal point in their life. They struggle a lot with there perception of: what is beautiful? What is a healthy relationship? Why certain people just don't like them? Might find discomfort in countries (and people from) France, Fiji, Nigeria and Japan.
🤩Since Saturn is exalted in Libra and Japan is ruled by it... it makes sense that looks, rules, and even history is very important to Japan. The whole (mostly) homogenous country is known for geishas (beauty and rules) AND it's part in WW2 or colonization {mostly in the Asian Pacific region} (history).
🤩I now believe Saturn is less about restrictions and more about discomforts. Restrictions straight up not allowing certain things to happen or belong. Discomfort is more our personal view on how something doesn't bring immediate comfort/joy.
🤩Yet another Saturn note, with discomfort brings discipline. To get pass discomfort you must have the discipline to sit with it. You can't ignore it because similar situations will constantly come up. And vice versa with discipline bringing discomfort.
🤩Neptune-Venus placements might find people are really comfortable touching them. Even strangers who have never met them. It could be that these natives don't come off aggressive so people don't see the need to respect their boundaries.
🤩I'm starting to be more convinced of Virgo being a high fame indicator (remember fame isn't always good, nor does it mean celebratory status). Virgo rules over daily activities and work, it just makes sense those who work/ do more in their daily life tend to get recognized more.
😍Also many famous people that are highly loved/known (and still alive) have a ton of Virgo/6th house placements. This also goes for Virgo degrees.
😍Long story short.. Leo is fame that gets recognized more after death, Taurus is fame during and after life, Capricorn is fame before life and a while after it, and Virgo is living fame.
🤩Earth signs and their ability to attract attention is down played a lot. Despite how relaxed they are compared to other signs, they still have a strong presence. And yes it is related to their physical (money, looks, items etc)
🤗Not a complete Astro observation but more of a spiritual one. (You can ignore it if you want)
The ego is not bad nor needs to be destroyed. 🤗The ego is what makes ones personality; the likes, the dislikes, behaviors and fears. To destroy that is to destroy what makes a person an individual. I know it's a popular belief that the ego needs to be changed, and not sorry to say I don't agree. I believe it needs to have things added and taken away at different stages of life. If you destroy it, are you truly the same person?
🤗In astrology the Sun represents the ego. And the Sun is you at your core, your default mode and being (in this lifetime). When we speak on ego deaths it's not you destroying your individual essence, it's you removing the parts that no longer work for you. Ego deaths aren't true deaths if you think about it, it's more of a reawakening to other aspects of your being.
The ego exists to protect, not harm. You are only harmed by it when you don't want to let go of the parts that no longer protect you.
We are all born with the skills and ability to learn more as we age, it is when others tell use certain things aren't useful that we surpress and disengage from them. We are all born with egos and that is what makes us distinct from each other.
🤩I said this in a reply to a question and I'll say it here as well. Venus is the outward feminine expression of a person. Lilith is the inner feminine expression. What I mean by that is Venus is the social and personally accepted displays of femininity (regardless of gender). It's the things people are okay with seeing. Lilith is not the "dark" per say but less socially (and even personally) aspects of femininity. They both exist in all people and both get treated differently by all people.
🤩You might actually see that Venus doms and Lilith doms tend to hang around each other a lot.
🤩That being said they might not always like each other and be envious of how the other is.
(Venus is more accepted in society but jealous of how Lilith doesn't feel the need to have to fit in. Lilith is more expressive of themselves but jealous of how Venus just seems to fit)
🤩Saturn is the outward masculine expression. Chiron is the inner. I know someone is like "Um AchTuallY", and let me explain. Saturn is where we tend to fall in line with what (Western/Westernize) society sees as the masculine role. Saturn nutures but not overindulges. Saturn provides but doesn't overextend. Chiron does the same thing but more gentlely. Chiron nutures all, from what they know. Chiron provides for all, without taking from personal reserves.
🤩Like Venus and Lilith doms, Saturn and Chiron doms might find themselves in the same circles a lot. And of course the jealousy is all the same.
🤩Saturn is naturally given the role of the provider but is jealous of how Chiron wasn't forced and chose to be one. Chiron is naturally a nurturer and stepping stone in life but is jealous of how Saturn gets to stick around to see what the nutured grow.

______________________________________________________________
December 1997
The morning of December 27th in the Inumaki household was chaotic.
Some months prior, it was decided that the disgraced, elder Inumaki son, Miharu, and his family would be offered redemption through certain means. During July, in the southern part of Japan, a sorcerer with the potential to become a special grade was discovered. They had no family lineage and the powers-that-be would have your family introduce them to jujutsu society. The order had been passed down that they would train alongside the son's eldest child, in both theory and practical study, until they attended Jujutsu High at fourteen years of age. That is if they survived that long.
So when your parents sit you down and make you promise to be on your best behavior, to not antagonize, make fun of, or laugh at your guests or there would be consequences, dirty dishwater-related consequences, you say yes. You promise them you will be good, nice, and welcoming.
At first, it was easy because it was exciting! Everyone (except Akari, who was drooling in her crib) was bustling with frantic energy, cleaning, and then going over the entire house. Making sure everything was in its place; flowers in the foyer, record playing in the living room, new sake ready to be opened on the counter. You even tolerated your little sister's incessant babbling and following afternoon tantrums with a great attitude. Granted, you couldn't hear her cries at full volume, but still, you were a good sport about the whole thing. You were more focused on the idea of training with another sorcerer your age and what gifts your parents might bring back from their visit to Jujutsu High in Tokyo next month. It was going to be a good new year.
When your guests arrived, your family had arranged themselves at your home's entrance. A poised, respectable sorcerer family welcoming a newly awakened sorcerer and their parents. Who you knew from peaking at your parents' signing during movie night, were normal humans, not a trace of cursed energy on them. (Your parents should really be more careful where they sign.)
Greeting the couple was nice and normal enough, you were bright and of course, the perfect host. You interpreted for your parents perfectly, like you had been doing for the majority of your life, "The Inumaki's are honored to be coordinating your child's sorcerer training."
"The honor is ours, thank you for allowing us into your home. Why, it's so beautiful!" Mrs. Geto's voice was soft to your ears, but the color of it radiated a light pink that settled neatly in the air around her. Her smile was sly, but inviting. She reminded you of a fox, especially with the way her updo gave her two bumps on her head that looked like little ears. You pursed your mouth to match hers and decided to keep that happy little thought to yourself.
You spared a glance at their son who had at first sight seemed ordinary like you. His bow was short and curt, his name lost to your wooden flooring. Only when prompted by his mother did he repeat it, "Geto Suguru. Pleased to meet you." The sound waves around him bent the light strangely, making the shadows curl around him even though the foyer was well-lit.
His voice sent a shiver down your spine, soft like his mother's but not at all like the soft pink she gave off. The color of his voice was deep indigo and unnerving. The waves refused to settle, creating a dark corona around the boy. It had you straightening your back, setting your shoulders up, back, and then down at attention.
"Inumaki. Pleased to meet you." Your bow wasn't as low as it should have been, but you had your eyes trained on him, making sure you saw every single movement.
The Getos, you're sure, were impressed with you either way. Especially with how grown up you were for a child your age (it's what every other adult seemed to say after meeting you). It was only natural, you were a jujutsu sorcerer after all. Or at least on your way to being a first-grade one. Right now though, all you were was a seven-year-old being told to make nice with some stranger.
"Go play, try to be friendly. You're going to be spending more time together soon." Your father's usually composed signing was rushed as he ushered you both through the backdoor and hurried to get back to where your guests were seated in the living room. His anxiety was visible, he had been going on and on about this day for a month straight. Finally, he would be respected again. (Or something like that, you tried not to peer in on your parents' private conversations in their bedroom. Most of the time.)
You were pretty sure he was happier to share his special sake and show off his vintage record collection than to talk about jujutsu society, those poor, poor people. They would have to get by on pen-and-paper conversations and charades with your tipsy parents while you were exiled outside with their son.
Alarm bells start ringing in your head finally being alone with him. He was just a little kid like you, all knobby knees and awkward limbs, but you could tell he was powerful. You don't know whether to run from him or fight him. You struggle, momentarily stuck to your spot, but ultimately decide against fighting. You would be going in blind and set a bad first impression.
Both of you stand apart, facing out into your backyard. A small garden that your mother keeps up is in the center, while the rest grows tall and wild around an old patio set towards the far right corner. A desire path is starting to form along the edges from your many trips back and forth from the beach that was just beyond the green belt of tall grasses at the end of your property. You let your eyes trace it as you chew on your lip, considering how to befriend this boy beside you.
You don't know what he can do exactly, only seeing your parents discuss it once in passing; Cursed Manipulation. What things he could manipulate was a mystery, all you knew was that you didn't want it to be you. Your mind screamed danger! but you had to get to know this strange boy, now that you were going to start training with him in the new year. After your eighth birthday, so you could still have time with your family before getting serious.
You pout and think of how your father had made you promise to be nice this morning. But you didn't feel like playing outside with this weird, jittery kid now! You wanted to cry, it was either this or dish duty for a month and you would rather die than touch nasty dishwater. So you make down the steps into the yard two at a time, in a huff, only partially caring if Geto follows you or not. (He does, with his hands in his pockets, taking his sweet time.)
Walking into the garden, you watch the air ripple with little bursts of color in every step. When you reach the patio set, you plop down facing the tall grasses at the back. It gives you a view of the sunset peaking through the blades, pale yellow into a muted blue sky.
Geto wiggles his chair out from under the table and positions it to face the same way as yours. He all but falls backward into it, releasing a long sigh when he settles. You sneak a peek at him from the corner of your eye. He's slouching so much, you're surprised he's still on the cushion, but he looks content to be watching the sky. You turn to watch little bugs flitter through the evening air. The beating hum of their wings gave off tiny warm yellow waves. At least they were a nice distraction from your present company.
"So, are you going to tell me your name?"
His voice almost makes you jump out of your seat. When you face him, he has his cocked to the side, a bored expression on his face. You masterfully pull yours into a kind expression, no dirty dishes for you. "Inumaki, remember?" You say it sweetly, to make up for the fact that it's not the answer he's looking for. You're not dumb, you know what he's asking you, but you don't want him to know your first name. Not yet, at least.
Geto scowls before turning away from you once again.
You sigh in frustration, you had been looking forward to having a friend, someone like you who wasn't three, stinky, and drooling. (Sorry to your sister, but she was just not very fun right now.) You were fighting an uphill battle of social awkwardness with Suguru Geto and losing. You weren't used to failing, ever. If this is how it's going to be between you both, then what would training look like in the spring?
Your parents believe you're being a good host, so that's some good-daughter points for you. Ugh, but if you don't try, then nothing is going to change between you both and you'll be stuck with your stinky sister your whole life. Yuck! You conclude that you can't rely on him to make the first move. You're the host, you make the conversation. It doesn't mean that Suguru Geto is going to be your best friend, but maybe you can get a powerful ally out of him. You perk up in your seat, yeah, you could make that work!
Working together with other sorcerers is important long term, if you're going to persevere in and preserve the jujutsu world. Maybe, if you tell him about when you first got your cursed technique, it'll make him feel more comfortable.
The thing is, you don’t really remember when your technique manifested.
You remember the heat and stickiness of the day. It must have been late summer, in the rainy season. A rare sunny day, no clouds in sight, spent at the park near your home. Your very pregnant mother sitting down watching you, laughing along with your high-pitched giggles. The red of the picnic table was a streak in your vision as you flew through the air on the swings, pushed higher and higher by your father. Silent, wearing a mask to cover his clan markings, but happy.
It was so, so hot that day, and the humidity had turned your hair into a frizzy mess. Sweat caused it and your clothes to stick to you uncomfortably, but you didn’t care. The sky was so blue and clear, and the air so crisp. You could see the expanse of the horizon at the top of your swing and the urge to jump was too great, you were weightless when you threw yourself from the seat.
You remember how the sky burst into color halfway down, how everything thrummed with color and strange vibrations. It was so pretty that you screamed with joy at the sight of sound waves emanating from everything. It was exactly how your mother described how she saw the world through her technique. The overload of visual information then clouded over the fact that everything was quieter. Like the volume set at full was dialed down quicker than your little brain could register.
You were only four or five when that happened. Suguru Geto, seven, is a late bloomer by jujutsu standards. The thought makes you want to laugh, but you hold it in and then calmly release it as a breath of air. Whew, that was close.
The evening was turning into night and the wind was cold against your arms causing goosebumps. Pieces of your hair were flying around your face, getting caught in your glasses and mouth. You sputter and push it back behind your ears for the hundredth time, even now it refuses to stay in place. You notice the indigo of Geto's sneaky giggles more than you can hear them.
"Are you laughing at me?" Geto, looking unashamed about being caught, meets your eyes only once before turning to watch the swaying grasses. You frown and follow his gaze, yup, still grass and sky. Beyond that was the color of the distant sound waves from the water crashing against the sand, although you know Geto can't see them like you could. You turn to face him once more, wishing he would at least try to keep eye contact with you. Or make conversation. Or do anything besides stare at stupid beach grass!
"You sound kinda funny." He tells you this very casually, like it's not the first thing he's said that wasn't a greeting or a question.
You blink at him, incredulous. "I don't get to use my voice that often." You're fully facing him now, bracing yourself on the patio chair's arm.
"Is it because your parents use their hands to talk?"
Did he really just ask you that?
"Yes."
"Oh."
Be nice, be nice, be nice. "My father can't speak because of his technique and my mother and I have some hearing loss from our own so it just makes sense for us to use sign," you manage, after a lengthy pause.
“Oh.”
He’s still not facing you, have you done something wrong that you missed? Your family wasn’t exactly the most social, maybe it was you. Were you the one being weird? You can’t tell if he's being mean or not, but you also don't know why he would be mean to you in the first place so maybe you're overthinking it. You've never made a friend before, but surely it can't be this hard.
"When you see curses, are you afraid of them?" When he says it he doesn't face you so you have to read his lips to make out the parts you miss.
You take a moment to mull it over. "No, I already know some defensive techniques so I think I could protect myself. Low-level ones I feel like I could kill easily." You smile at that, remembering how your parents said your barrier technique was very strong for your age. It made you happy that you had a sound-related technique like your mom. You liked being like her, strong and beautiful, but also kind. (You were still working on that last part.)
"What about the stronger ones? Would you run or fight?" This time when he says it, Geto's gaze is so steady, you couldn't escape it if you wanted to. His pale face was open and honest.
"I'd fight." You try to keep your face earnest and keep eye contact, you want him to know you're being truthful. When you focus on them, his eyes are a dark amber framed by straight, long eyelashes. (Annoying, how boys always got pretty lashes without even having to try.)
Geto presses his lips into a thin line before casting his eyes back to the horizon past the grass. "I'd run."
You giggle at that, trying to imagine this string bean of a boy running from some scary curse. "I guess we'll have to work on that when we see each other again in the new year. Right?" You smile when he looks back at you. If you relax and keep making conversation, then training will go well the next time you meet. Having him warm up to you also means a boost to your strength, in the end.
Which means you have to be good at this making friends thing. You want to be good at it, for your parents who rely on you to carry on their legacy. For your sister, who will look up to you as you both get older. And for this new kid, who has no one else in his family like him. Who was assigned to the closest sorcerer family available so that he's prepared for jujutsu society—your family. Maybe, you think, you could be good for him and whip him into shape by the time you both attend Jujutsu High and start taking missions.
He blinks a few too many times before slouching even more than you thought possible, (looking at his posture was making your neck ache) and giving you a small, "Sure."
Another beat of silence, and you think he's going to let this one stretch out before he asks another question. "So why can't your dad talk?"
You laugh at his bold line of questioning this time, "My dad comes from a long line of cursed speech users. That's why his mouth has those little markings, even though they're a little faded. They're the symbol of our family, the Inumakis." You decide not to tell Geto why your father's marks are faded or why he jumped at the opportunity to sponsor him. That's all stressful, adult stuff.
"And your mom? She can talk, but doesn't?" Geto arches his eyebrow at you and you wonder, does he know that it lets you know he's asking a question? He's already good at nonverbal communication, you don't have to think too hard about what he means when he's facing you.
You shake your head and lift yourself up from your seat with great effort, ready to head back towards your house. "My mom and I can talk, but it's easier when we can all just sign what we mean, together." It's a simple explanation, you hope he accepts it.
Geto pulls himself from his seat to follow you, this time side by side. "What's her technique like?"
You suck air into your cheeks, making a big show of contemplating your answer. "My mother has control over sound and pressure waves at the molecular level." You take your time sounding out the complicated words, you don't actually know what pressure, let alone molecular means. "She can create barriers with sound the same way I can. We can also see the sound waves in the air. My brain is so used to it though that I don't even focus on that anymore. Like when your brain ignores your nose, you know?" You crinkle your nose at him, twitching the tip of it like a bunny. It makes him laugh and you smile, you like the color of it much more than normal conversation. "But because we can see all that stuff, our hearing isn't as strong as other peoples. It doesn't feel any different though, I don't remember a time before it."
You've never had to say all these big words out loud before, you catch Geto laughing at the way you're pronouncing some of them. You tut disapprovingly at him but laugh with him also. You probably do sound a little funny.
He hums and swings his hands back and forth, the effort making his t-shirt sway on his frame like a big pillowcase. "Is it only barriers you can make with sound?"
You hum, thoughtful. "I haven't really tried anything else, but that's why I'm excited to train with you in the spring!"
"Is that what you think we'll be working on when we see each other next?"
You focus on the way he shapes his vowels, how they stretch and flow, before looking back at his eyes. "Mmm, probably not. My dad will make us start with the basics of cursed energy and breathing techniques. Prepare for lots of meditating, my dad loves to put on his jazz music every morning for stretches and quiet time, it's awful. Let's see what else..." You tap your chin, thinking. "Then we might move on to basic fighting forms, which I've barely gotten to practice." You see the familiar notes of your father's records seep from the house as you get closer to the steps of your porch. When you reach them, you each take a seat next to each other.
Geto smiles at you, like his mother it's sly, but more smug than anything. More music escapes into the air behind him as faint swirls of color. Pretty, you think. "I'm already pretty good at fighting, I take after-school lessons. Or, at least I used to." His brow furrows at that last sentence. Suddenly displeased, he turns to stare at the ants crossing near your feet.
You note the shift with a frown. You've never been to a regular school, you've been taught by your mom and dad your whole life. Math, science, reading, all that boring stuff. You've never experienced public school, so you don't know exactly what it is that Geto might miss.
This is an exciting opportunity for you and your family, something you were looking forward to and happy about. Getting to introduce someone to jujutsu society is a great honor, but it doesn't seem like that's how it is for Geto. You lean forward to try and catch his eyes again. "Are you going to miss it?"
He eyes you from behind his dark hair, debating his answer. "I'm going to miss my teacher and my friends. I thought we would all be together until high school or something like that." He closes his eyes and takes a breath. You see his lip shake more than you can hear the quiver in his voice. "I didn't ask to be a sorcerer."
Something hard has formed in your throat watching this boy you were just laughing with almost cry in front of you. You force it down and take a moment to think about what it was like moments after your technique manifested. Chaotic, too bright all at once, and then quiet. You definitely started crying at some point after your joy turned to fear. But your parents had never hid their culture from you, so curses and cursed energy weren't anything new. It was more overwhelming than scary.
Before you can try to comfort Geto, the backdoor slides open and a flurry of color fills your vision. Your mother stands in the doorway, jovial and laughing until seeing Geto's expression.
"What's going on?" She steps forward, displeased.
You jump up to try and rectify the situation. "We were just talking about his school!"
Your mother purses her lips and looks between you both now that Geto is standing on the step above you. "We'll discuss this later. Come inside and say goodbye."
You whine and hang your head in defeat knowing you can't sway your mother. "Yes, ma'am."
You look at Geto and motion for him to go inside first. "Mom says that they're finished. Let's go."
You suck in your lip, chewing on your unspoken words, and trudge into the house behind him. You watch the trail of indigo his footsteps leave behind, he must scuff his feet along the floor. Something pangs in your chest, you don't want him to leave you sad or mad at you. Before that mess about school, you started to get along.
Before he can get too far away from you, you reach out to tug on his shirt. "Geto, wait."
His hands are in his pockets and he's slouching so much you're surprised he's still upright, but he gazes you over his shoulder with an arched brow, a silent acknowledgment.
You drop your hand back to your side, letting go of his shirt. "I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to seeing you. Next time, you know? This is all new for me, I've never trained with anyone my age so I want this to go well. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings asking about your school." You cringe at how it all spills out. Much too fast and eager, you're not used to speaking out loud so much. But, it gets him to turn fully towards you before entering the foyer.
"I know, Inumaki-san. I'm happy to be training with you too, but leaving my friends and everything else behind isn't easy. Not for me, anyway."
You stare back at him, wanting to comfort him all over again, but all that comes out is, "Okay." You want to smack yourself, you are so lame.
For some reason, he lets a hint of a smile come over his face. "Okay." He nods before continuing, "I'll see you in the new year."
With that, both of you enter the foyer to be with your parents. You skip past Geto so you can be by your parents' side to interpret their goodbyes. You preen as your father smooths your hair back with his hand. Its warm familiar weight settles on your shoulder. You did a good job tonight, making Geto feel welcome to the best of your ability. However socially awkward you were, you got him to have a solid conversation with you. Next time will be even better.
The three of you walk them out and down the steps of your home. It's later than you thought it was and you're starting to get sleepy. You return Geto's little wave through the glass window of his parents' car.
When you get back inside, you make your parents wait with you until you see the lights of the Geto's car fade from view before you turn off the porch lights. Your father carries you to bed, and your mother tucks you in and sings you a lullaby. Your sister is already asleep in her bed next to yours. It was a good night, you think before letting your heavy eyelids rest.
When you finally drift off into sleep, your dreams are full of inky indigos and soft pink clouds, with little foxes jumping between their misty hiding spots while you giggle watching them.

my fav moments from recentish chapters for my own reference bc why not
91
>My friends...don't make such sad faces.
Even though I am living here and now with all of you,
If this sacrifice of mine paves the way for new history,
If these flames of mine can create a new life,
>Then I am ready for my fate.
>I've been collecting these stones because I thought they could be parts of my parent...
>But even though you might not be my real parent,
Once I get them all, I'll still give them back to you, Mukuro.
Because it is your body.
>This pregnant woman is dead...yet the child inside her is still alive.
>I've seen so many dead bodies by now...and yet never a body which still held the warmth of another's life...
>I can still save the child.
>And yet...
>What miserable life of loneliness awaits him, an undying child who has no parent by his side.
>Least I can do is give you a name...
>Since my name is Mukuro, a 'corpse'...you shall be called
>Kabane. [true meaning: dead body]
>Do you resent Akane, your aunt?
>While I was living in the village...I did think that auntie might have hated me. But looking back now...
>I think I can understand her feelings a little.
>The reason she was afraid of me...was because
>She was afraid something could happen to Yataro.
>She was determined to kill me because she wanted to protect what was important to her.
>Of course, this hurted me.
>But auntie wasn't in the wrong either...So I do not resent her.
92
>Our ancestor, Hachifuku Tasaburo the First, believed that despite all their differences and misunderstandings, kemono and humans still could co-exist, accepting each other as equals.
>As a Tasaburo of today,
>I am determined that the atrocities commited by Inari Yoko cannot be tolerated.
you can skip the kaido infodump
>The giant mamono sent after Kabane-san and his friends is mostly likely the work of Kaido, the minister of national security.
>I really dislike men like him...parading around in his suit, creating that uncanny fearsome image.
>I do not care about your opinion. State the facts.
>Ohhh! Ohhh! My master, I am so very sorry! Please, do not get mad at me!!
>Oh...Well!
>It seems like he often has some sort of 'secret talks' with Mikage, the minister of the mamono project.
>What are they talking about?
>Well...It's a little diffcult to explain...
>Minister Kaido is a fanatic of sorts, as they say? He's collecting lots of toy monsters from those monster movies he loves,
>And together with Mikage they are like children...obsessed with the idea of bringing these monsters to life.
>So to say...what they actually are doing is Kaido having his ape minions undergo mamono transformation,
>Creating real atrocities one after another.
>As of today, Kaido has successfully brainwashed his whole species into believing that their sole purpose in life is to become these 'monsters'...creating an army of pawns who don't feel any pain.
>It' him...
>I'm sure, this Kaido...
>...is the one trying to create the 'perfect mamono'.
>Perfect...?
>Meaning the one whose body wouldn't self-destruct.
>The ape kemono clan, 'shoujou', as I knew them
>were kemono who achieved their prosperity by firmly believing that 'violence is justice'. They valued the strength of their clan as a whole over their lives as individuals.
>And a thousand years ago, they were the ones who killed the most humans in the war.
>Therefore, I decided against them being among those fourteen who created the kemono stones.
>Even though as a clan they were truly superior.
>It is no wonder that Kaido has sided with Inari Yoko then.
>Birds of a feather, huh?
>They really match each other.
this one is only bc i wanna show thin calling himself handsome
>Back when we saw the raibow tides in Vietnam, I sent the pictures of the mamono corpse to my colleagues, asking 'Does anyone know what is this?'
>And Thin was the only one who didn't reply at all.
>That was so out of character for you, so I assumed that you must be in Japan.
>I wanted to reply right away~~~
>But I couldn't, because e-mails are checked by the government.
>But The Tanuki Express isn't! So I've been relying the mamono data we acquire to Doctor Thin.
>As for now, I'm but a random handsome doctor in Tokyo...there wasn't much I could do until now.
>But the mice are on our side now, right?
>That means I am free to work in my Kyoto lab while keeping it a secret~
>A secret..?
>The fact that it's possible to start the vaccine development.
>Oh!
>Right!
>If we have the vaccine, we could intentionally trigger the self-destruction of the mamono bodies...
>In that case, even if Kaido's plans go through, we at least will have some means to counter him.
>But...
>If an in-deep research could be possible...
>Then I'd like to eliminate the virus in a way that would not destroy those affected,
>But rather cure them.
>Just something I'd want to try...my personal wish.
>Geh?!
>What the hell?! Hitting on a guy already?!
Isn't he with his girlfriend?! Are you blind??
>Hey! Are you kidding me?! Have you got no shame?!
>Ah! Don't raise your voice at me!
>Huh? Who's raising voice now??
>Sorry, dude~ She's with me. She's just at that age when things get a little...
>Alright, let's use them! Go Go Tsubaki!
>Sigh...
>Oh...you know, we are heading for that farm too, in order to observe things.
>Even though we all are working for the government, sometimes there are some disagreements...so the higher-ups sent us there from Tokyo to check up on the farm.
>Umetaro-san sticks to moderate views within the government...
>He continues to work under Inari-sama in order to minimize possible casualties, like in this case.
>So, will you please join forces with us? I'm sure we have the same goal, even though we will be working differently.
>How is...Nobimaru-kun?
>Well...he's alive for now, I guess? Who knows how much longer he can keep it up though...
>Huh?! What do you mean? Aren't you friends? What happened between you two?!
>Huh? I wouldn't call us 'good friends'...And I do worry about him, okay!
>I do...worry...
>Huh?! What is that thing?!
>You've seen it before.
>Oh! You mean back when we attacked the mobster hideout?
>I didn't recognize! Didn't think your body would become like this!!
>Well...
>Neither did I.
>Does anyone else know about this?!
>I'm afraid Hoshikuma has sensed it, but remains quiet.
>Inari-sama is aware as well, but she doesn't care.
>What...She doesn't..?
>But did you not do this to yourself in order to please her...
>I guess he's ready for whatever awaits him later. That poor bastard realized there's nothing that can help him, and he is deaf to words.
>But still...You know,
>I don't wanna Nobimaru-san to die like this.
>I've seen people I know die and die again...I don't want to see anyone dying no more.
>Does that...include me, too?
>Of course!
>Friends or foes...I really don't want anyone to die.
>I've decided for myself that the best outcome would be for both sides to have less casualties if possible.
>I guess everyone's kinda outta their mind, huh?
>I get it!!
>Uwah!
>Umetaro-san! Aren't we alike?
>Huh?!
>I don't want you to die either! I'm glad we were able to meet again and talk. Let's do our best tomorrow!
>Oh...Akira-chan...
nice gag aimoto very funny (rolls eyes)
>Big Brother, you got it all wrong!!
>Seriously, we were just discussing our viewpoints and found something in common before tomorrow's mission...
>Right! Big Brother, Umetaro-san is a good person!
>Is that so. If it's about tomorrow, shouldn't all parties be involved?
>Yeah...You are right.
>Oh?

In the Yuri about Miles and Phoenix, i’m curious to know how they confessed to each other. And how they keep their cute little first love relationship alive despite going to different schools and being lesbians in Japan. If you’ve got a story outline, I would absolutely love to read it <3
Also, Utena AU when?
first of all, thank you for liking them so much! 🩷 it means a lot to me, especially since it all started from what i thought might just be a fun little "ooh haha what if i made them into a cute yuri shoujo manga" one-off :^)
there's really no outline for this au other than the fact that i simply like making them really cute childhood friends to high school sweethearts! just doodling them going through every day life! but if i had the time to plot out their confession, they probably confessed to each other while walking home from school one afternoon and did it while they took a detour to a nearby park. one where they probably spent early childhood together since they've been neighbors for a long time :^)))
though i find it quite interesting that you put a modern lens on it by bringing up them being lesbians in japan and possible issues therein. i like that extra detail, but if im gonna be honest with you, i never really placed them anywhere in the world in particular 😅 i can see why you would, considering the uniform choices and from conjecture, but it just so happens that most, if not all, high school romances i consumed were all from jpn manga 😅 so all the aesthetic choices would be based on that
had i read more hs romances that took place where im actually from (the US), the au would've looked totally different!
this particular au happens to be one of those where its all sweet and cutesy and happy! they keep their relationship going by doing things that would seem relatively inconvenient and out of the way, like always walking each other to and from school even though their schools are totally separate, and yet they still have time to go run around with each other on dates 😂 we suspend a little bit of disbelief here 😂
though now that you say it, i might get back into writing and possibly jot down a oneshot here or there about their little yuriful life together 🩷
as for a doomed yuri utena au, im all ears and eyes 👁 i would love to hear your thoughts on how i should go about making one because im already forming ideas! come back to my inbox so we can hash it out!!!

I was watching the movie that expands on the first episode called the Great detective turned small like the case at the very beginning and why Gin and Vodka were there. We even have scenes for Amuro, Chianti and Korn and Kir gets a little cameo as a reporter who talks about Shinichi in the beginning of the first episode
But anyways back to my point. I love this movie because for a second, idk if I'm just overanalyzing, it looked like Shinichi actually teared up, overwhelmed by all the shit that happened to him all at once and that has to be my favourite thing ever cause he rarely ever cries or shows emotion beyond anger, desperation or just being a snarky bitch. Obviously he's happy and stuff but I mean emotion as in him genuinely being overwhelmed because I promise you I would've been having a whole breakdown after all the shit he went through in like a few hours.
Like he saw someone get decapitated (Idc what he said, he might have been desensitized to murders but that's sure as hell gonna stick in his head, the blood literally squirted all over him and Ran) then he solved the case, comforted Ran, ran after the suspicious dude he saw before, saw do a whole blackmail deal while talking about some shady organization, got hit on the head hard enough that it effected his memory and he was barely aware of what was going on, got fed a drug, felt like he was burning alive, thought he was going to die, woke up as a little kid and no one is believing a single thing he's saying, almost got sent to a child care center which is a little disaster in Japan search it up, got chased by the police like a criminal with huge as dogs as well, couldn't call Ran because he knew she wouldn't believe him as well, ran home in the rain, and then almost got run over by a truck.
Like. Dude needs so much therapy for that single night, not to mention all the other shit that happens and the truck load of trauma he's going to be faced with for next year or however long canon has been. Yeah, that's crazy.
My guy deserves more than a little tear up, I need to see him cry for once

YOU WATCHED GODZILLA MINUS ONE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
shaking you to talk about it
I need to just..sit and think for a minute. Give me a second..
Okay on my laptop. Now I can think. Spoilers for the movie of course (PLEASE WATCH IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE)
So the movie is about a war vet, Koichi Shikishima. Shikishima was originally supposed to be a kamikaze jet fighter, but had fled his position last minute by lying about having a malfunction so he could live another day. He was afraid. He loved his family and his life. He wanted to live.
That is the main framing of the movie and the thing I kept coming back to. Shikishima felt nothing but guilt for everything he had done. The movie is more namely about WWII and its effects on Japan. On its people, both physically and mentally. Shikishima was meant to die. He was conscripted, trained, and prepared specifically to go into battle and die serving his country. This came at the end of the war however, when it became abundantly clear that a US invasion was coming. Shikishima did not want to die. He held value with his life. He saw the pointlessness of dying for a crumbling empire and lied.
Godzilla in this is a manifestation of war to me. It represents the might of the atomic bomb obviously, but also the sheer destruction and chaos of it all. It represents oblivion and the firey death that comes with war. It represents trauma. It represents Shikishima's trauma. It is why Shikishima's war still rages on. That thing is still around.
Shikishima blames himself for the event at Odo Island. He sees it as the final nail in the coffin for why he shouldn't exist anymore. He was scared. Like when he ran from his duties, he too could not fire at Godzilla as it attacked innocent people who had families to go home to. Over two dozen good men died that night because Shikishima could not act. Because of Godzilla.
Godzilla is that trauma to me. Shikishima thinks himself as a man who, by all accounts, should be dead. Why was I spared? he thinks. He believes himself as a coward. It's hammered home once he returns and sees his neighbourhood turned to rubble and dying fires. His neighbour, Sumiko, berates him for his inability to fulfill his role, blaming him for the massacre that took place. She repeats back the thoughts he already held: he is a coward. He should not be alive. What more does he have to live for? His family is dead. His inaction killed several people. He is a traitor to his country.
Suicide ideation and an inability to see a point in going on was such a noticeable part of Shikishima's character to me. His trauma and PTSD haunted him for years. He felt so much shame and guilt for what happened on that island.
Yet...he finds a reason to keep going, even if he doesn't realize just how much it means. A girl taking care of a child that is not her own, orphaned by the bomb raids, falls into his care. Soon enough, he makes a life around this girl, Noriko, and the child, Akiko. He gets odd jobs for them. He brings home money and, eventually, secures a nice government job.
I know I'm recapping thus far but also like...holy shit I gotta just lay it out. The movie just is so dense with stuff. Everything connects back to the central themes of trauma, war, and hope in the face of destruction. Everything relating to Shikishima feels so real in the sense that, for a moment, everything seems okay. It's alright. He meets and befriends his crew of people (including Dr. Noda!!! my favourite character, surprising absolutely nobody!) and it looks like things are looking up.
But it resurfaces. This beast. Awakened by the continuing nuclear bomb tests by the US. It shifts and changes, growing stronger. It is fueled by the weapons that were used to destroy and kill. It is war manifest. It is Gojira.
The boat scene was probably my favourite part in the whole movie. Seeing the main cast all work together so hard to try and outrun and wade off this unstoppable force. The CGI is also just wonderful. I still adore how it tries to emulate the flaws of practical effects in this scene in particular. The looming fear of Godzilla as it rapidly approaches them is just...so good. Then, it caps off with a sliver of hope in the form of a battleship from Singapore coming to save them, only for Godzilla to instantly body it via its atomic breath.
It resurfaces and brings back memories of that awful night. Nightmares have haunted Shikishima ever since, but they're only strengthened with Godzilla had returned. He has panic attacks. The once stoic and distant Shikishima crumbles and sobs, panicking and considering more abstract ideas. He does not see himself as alive. He's convinced he died. That none of this is real. That he isn't happy. He isn't alive. He is nothing more than a dead man who, despite anything, lives on for no real purpose.
It further hammers into him that there's no real reason to keep going like that when Noriko is swept away by the blast when Godzilla attacks Tokyo. That scene with him watching as Godzilla marvels in its destruction, screaming and yelling over the death of the person he loves. Death, trauma, war. It towers over him, shrouded in a cloud of ash and smoke and glowing a radioactive blue.
He agrees to Dr. Noda's plan to stop Godzilla, but mainly as a way for him to finally do what he always thought he was meant to do. Akiko, what is virtually his daughter in the eyes of everyone but himself, constantly broke my heart man. She loves him. She calls him daddy. She calls Noriko mommy. They're family. They're something for him to live for.
The night before Shikishima leaves to go and fulfill the role of a kamikaze, taking Godzilla down with himself, Akiko draws him a picture of their family. She cries. She wants her mother back. Why isn't she back? Where is she? Why can't daddy bring her back? It's not fair.
That scene just...hurt me so much. I can't describe it honestly. A lot of scenes with Shikishima grieving and processing his trauma cut deep, but seeing Akiko cry and Shikishima, a man who will be all but alive the next day, try and console her while still thinking about how he's gonna die... Jesus fuck man. The movie is evil.
The climax is fun, yet incredibly tense. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I knew that they would all be fine in the end and that Shikishima obviously must have had an eject seat installed, but I couldn't help but be engrossed into it. I think what mainly got me was seeing the citizens work together. It was emblematic of what I think is the overall message of the movie: hope. Hope to keep living. You cannot take on trauma by yourself and need a whole slew of people to support you.
Shikishima, in that fighter plane that was meant to a battle that never was, soars into the mouth of Godzilla mere seconds before it fires upon the ships. Right before the ship reaches, he pulls the eject button and survives. He...found his reason to keep going. Even if Noriko is gone, he wants to live. Even if the trauma may not fully be defeated, he wants to live. He needs to live, not just for Akiko, but for his friends. For himself. To let it known that Godzilla itself cannot take him down. He will persist in the face of oblivion manifest.
It's such an amazing movie okay? I'm just left in absolute awe at it. This and Shin Godzilla are so great. I loved Shin's portrayal of the incapability of the Japanese government in the face of disaster, namely taking inspiration from the ever-evolving disaster of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear meltdown. Minus One however shows the toll of trauma and war on the population. It effects the people. While Shin Godzilla is a satire of the government, Minus One Godzilla shows the horrors of being an ordinary person during it all.
Minus One Godzilla is horrifying. Every time it pops up I feel nothing but dread. I read somewhere that it's one of the smaller Godzilla designs, but honestly I don't think that took away from it whatsoever. Its staying presence is so strong that I can't honestly see it as being weak or tiny for it.
The movie's constant themes and message of moving past trauma and living in spite of everything is just so powerful too. There is so much good in life. You cannot let war and hopelessness consume you. You need to keep moving forward. The final confrontation of Godzilla is emblematic of it all. It's so good man. I love this movie so so so very much...
#ask#astronic#sp-rambles#Oopsie had a little silly moment and wrote a lot#This is just my initial thoughts too#Like imagine what I'd think on a second viewing

I wonder if you still will answer an ask / question. My ask is Do you personally think / feel there is some character that's like ended up a waste ( in term development ) or just.. didn't need to exist / continue into the next chapter at some point ? Like example, in your analysis Ogata should just died in vol 19 something like that I think.. I suddenly think like.. Vasily is a big waste or maybe he shouldn't continue to be Ogata's rival because I personally dont see it, sometimes i really think he's just like a fan service character ? Vasily went to take revenge on Ogata and go as for to Japan for that, that sound kinda romantic or something someone said that and i really dont see that ( I think Vasily fans gonna hate me ). I think Tsukishima & Koito prolly the same case at the end how they ended up breaking their loyalty to Tsurumi. I'm sorry if it's wrong the end of chapter kinda confuse me a lot.
Yes, I do still answer, even if sometimes I'm really slow about it.
Should I warn everyone that this isn't a Noda apprecciation post and that the back button in this case might be your best friend?
I hope people will be intuitive enough to figure it out on their own so without further ado let's dig into this.
Do I personally think / feel there is some character that's like ended up a waste ( in term development ) or just.. didn't need to exist / continue into the next chapter at some point ?
Oh yes. I feel quite a lot got wasted and this doesn't include just characters but also plot points actually.
Before someone will say something, I'll clear up a couple of things about what I mean.
First of all, this is my personal opinion. It's not The Truth. It's just how I feel.
Second, for me a story has to fit with Anton Chekhov's advice: If it's not essential, don't include it in the story. Especially, I'll add, if you want to write only 31 volumes and then you'll end up rushing things to fit everything in them.
So, let's start.
Let's cut from the story Sugimoto's feelings for Umeko which go nowhere and supposedly ended when Kikuta told him he should let Umeko go. He could be just in the story to help a friend's wife. After all that's why he's in the story in the anime, which completely cut Umeko's role and, anyway, it seems that's what Noda wanted since Sugimoto supposedly wanted to marry Umeko solely because Toraji told him so.
Q: Sugimoto’s main motivation to participate in the gold hunt was to heal Umeko, the girl who was his childhood friend and whom he loved. However, in the last chapter, he gives his share of the gold to Umeko’s son, since her eyes were already healed. Why did you do that?
Noda: If Umeko had not remarried and her eyes weren’t healed, the story would have needed a few more chapters, which, considering that it was post-climax, would have made it drag on needlessly.
The reason for that is Toraji told Sugimoto to get together with Umeko before dying, and he is not the kind of guy who could have ignored that and return to Hokkaido with Asirpa. [Noda’s interview for Yomiuri online paper]
Actually also let's cut her eye problems. Let's send Sugimoto to get money for Toraji's son, so he can go to school. If the whole thing with Umeko becomes a bother that needs to be solved offscreen without Sugimoto's intervention, let's just not include it.
The same goes for Ogata's feelings for his grandmother. We are told that Ogata didn't kill Tanigaki because he was a grandmother's boy and so he didn't want to murder Huci even though not killing Tanigaki causes him plenty of troubles and then... it turns out in an interview he probably poisoned his grandparents and they're no more discussed in the story.
Q17: Are Ogata’s grandparents still alive? If not, how did they die? Noda: They both disappeared before Ogata enlisted. There was half-eaten food left on the table. [Q&A section from the Golden Kamuy fanbook]
Honestly I would cut also Tanigaki's tragic backstory with his sister because... it goes nowhere in the end. He completely forgets he was meant to go back home and tell his father how his sister died, he actually goes back home because he has Inkarmat and Tsurumi is hunting him.
And since we're at it, let's cut the whole "Huci might die of worry for Asirpa", since Huci gets all better as soon as they hand her a baby.
Note that those plot points were all things I liked when I assumed they would go somewhere... instead they are just brushed off, forgotten or solved offscreen. They didn't really serve to the story, Ogata could have not killed Tanigaki because too many in the village saw him entering in Huci's house and might attack him if he were to shoot at her, and Tanigaki could have gone after Asirpa because she saved his life.
Then we've characters like Svetlana, who served zero purpose, Ogata and Vasily that were kept alive for no reason at all after Vol 19, the whole subplot with Central that went nowhere along with Wada's murder, since Tsurumi has the support of Yodogawa and could have gotten the weapons from him instead than doing it from behind Wada's back and then killing him.
To have Wilk include, among the tattooed convicts, a well known child murderer and who cares if that guy would go on murdering children once free (even though murdering children is generally considered one of the most disgusting crimes even by criminals) and his daughter is also a child, makes a huge disservice to Wilk as a supposedly good father.
Saving Tsurumi was unneeded, and the same goes for the whole Tsukishima-Koito-Tsurumi plot that goes nowhere.
Sofia shouldn't have known she had no part in Tsurumi's daughter's death if, afterward, she was meant to die thinking solely at how regretful she felt for it, and not at how her men died because she thought trying to fulfil Wilk and Kiro's dream was a good plan.
And since Jack the Ripper was clearly so poorly researched about, Noda could have just turned him into some Japanese mad slasher, no need to toss in the story another murderer who kills because he's a Christian with warped beliefs like Sekiya... and talking about warped belief and psychological problems already seen, we've Heita who has warped Ainu religion beliefs and hears voices like Edogai... okay, he's actually worse than Edogai but still close enough.
And what about the fake skins plot? Noda even forgot one of those fake skins at a certain point and solved the plot abruptly.
Ariko didn't need to 'die' to be resurrected short after and then STAY OUT OF THE STORY and not even help Asirpa, despite his father being the one who triggered the Ainu massacre falling for Tsurumi's manipulation. Not that the guy knows so this too was unneeded.
And actually the story would have probably benefitted by having Inkarmat die due to her wound and Ienaga be killed once she saved Sugimoto.
And should we dig into Tsukishima's tragic backstory which also go nowhere?
Or the rather terrible story of the raped white bear?
The extra story of the roasted little bird?
The whole "Wakayama was the one behind the skin in Barato" plot with annexed the whole "searching for the skins is useless" which gets forgotten with a shrug?
And let's not forget the whole Central plot that goes nowhere. Tsurumi knew already of the gold, Ogata got involved by Central for unclear reasons (why pick him?) and Kikuta got in the game too late and contributed too little all for Central to do basically nothing in the story.
And, since we're at it, the whole Noboribetsu thing was also handled poorly.
I guess I could add more but that's what came to my mind as of now. I fear it's already way too much...
Now, I've basically rushed up through everything and I realize this instead would need to be expanded to be more understandable, as some plot points/characters might seem of relevance... when actually could have been solved way more quickly and efficently... especially since at the end Noda rushed through the story because he wanted to end at vol 31.
If one has a set a specific volume for the ending he should do well his math and not add extra that merely dilute the story for no real purpose.
If it's not essential, don't include it in the story.
But whatever, if you or someone else now feels the need for clarifications of why some plot points/characters felt useless/didn't deserve to live that long, you can write me.
If you or someone else feel they actually were important, okay, that's your opinion, I'm not saying you've to change it, just don't try to change mine. I prefer not to argue about things I didn't like of GK, it makes happy no one and feels rather boring.
Sorry if this wasn't what you were hoping for and thank you for your ask!

So, My Hero Academia Chapter 387 (MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD)...
That was a really, really good chapter, but hoo boy that fucked me up real bad and I need to get some thoughts off my chest before I go to sleep. Tumblr is the best place to post this; I’m not spending $8 on Twitter Blue to type this out.
First off, more eugenic stuff yay... This time with Rei’s family, the Himuras. So, turns out that Geten (the ice villain following Re-Destro) is a part of that family which means that he’s the Todoroki’s cousin at best. I think Rei would’ve said something if he was her brother.
And that the Himura’s have been inbreeding to keep their bloodline “pure” and their ice Quirk in tact... And forced marriages were also desperate attempts to keep this in check. UM WHAT THE FUCK, HORIKOSHI??? I’m not saying this is a bad thing story-wise, but it makes the Todoroki Family situation so, so much worse if that was even possible. And sadly they’re not the only family to do this...
So, if Rei was a product of inbreeding, then (and correct me if I’m wrong) the Todoroki children are technically inbred too on top of being born out of a quirk marriage to begin with INCLUDING SHOUTO WHO’S BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH (I need to clarify that I’m not criticizing Rei or her kids, it’s not their faults. I’m criticizing the practice of inbreeding itself). I feel ill just thinking about that. This is some royal family shit that should never be a thing to begin with. I don’t care if marrying your 2nd cousin shouldn’t fuck up the kids too badly, it’s still extremely fucked up period! This is honestly worse than the quirk marriage imo and that was bad enough as it was. I kind of wish Horikoshi didn’t include this because it’s sadly kind of warpping my perception of them, but I’m not going to fly over to Japan and throw hands with him over it.
And this puts more context into why Rei chose to marry Enji because agreeing to be bought into a marriage with Endeavor to create the perfect offspring with Fire and Ice is somehow better than MARRYING YOUR FUCKING COUSIN AND HAVING A CHILD WITH THEM! She never had a good choice to begin with; she just chose the best one that was given to her. God, I feel bad for this woman.
I honestly need a few days to process this because it was dropped so casually and now I need to sit down and think of the implications of it while working on my finals 🥲
Onto Dabi who is fighting his dad with like half of his body remaining. How the hell this man is alive is a goddamn mystery because he looks like a burning skeleton. And this whole thing has caused his Quirk to evolve to the point where he’s now producing ICE ❄️! HE HAS AN ICE QUIRK NOW TOO! IT’S EXACTLY THE THING ENDEAVOR WANTED THIS WHOLE TIME AND NOW HE HAS IT IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE! I WANT TO SCREAM! SHOUTO AND DABI ARE REALLY 2 SIDES OF THE SAME COIN!
There really is no way of knowing if Touya would’ve unlocked this part of his Quirk if he trained more with Endeavor, but the fact that he actually had the potential to become exactly what he was born for is devastating. He could’ve been what his father wanted him to become, but his Quirk was too dangerous to himself to try. If this happened, Natsuo and Shouto might not have been born (I’m glad they were born tbh), but at least the family would’ve been spared a shit ton of trauma.
Oh, and it looks like that massive fire punch he threw at Endeavor completely burned off his right arm and now he’s right armless like Endeavor. That one panel of them “dancing” with right fire arms is haunting. You could write a whole short essay on that panel. Horikoshi loves parallels and I do too.
Honestly, I really expected Horikoshi to just kill off Endeavor and Dabi at the same time this chapter. It looked like that’s where it was going. There are a lot of ways their fates could be going and I can see it happening all those ways. Personally, I want them to live at least until Shouto finally gets there. I think Horikoshi is setting up that “Todoroki Family Reunion” he’s been planning since Chapter 300 or something especially with Rei entering the battle field. What happens next is something we’ll have to wait for. I want Endeavor to live honestly. But, I can definitely see Dabi dying at the end because I really don’t think he’s going to survive at this rate. Horikoshi cooked him too well 😂😭.
And finally REI TODOROKI!!! The block or whatever her and her family were being transported in was stopped right below Gunga Mountain last chapter and they were forced to go up to the surface to make sure they avoid Dabi’s fiery explosion. That’s why she’s up on the surface to begin with. I do want to know how the hell she got to the battlefield so quickly though. I don’t see her as a fighter, but maybe she trained her Ice Quirk to glide on it like Shouto does. I’m really curious to see what she does because she does hold some responsibility for how Dabi turned out and I think she’s trying to atone in a way too. This better not mean she’s dying though. I don’t need the Todorokis to deal with more trauma, especially Shouto.
Anyways, there’s a lot to unpack in this chapter and there’s probably more to dive into. Um, I’m glad to see Mr. Compress again like Horikoshi promised. He’s probably still assless though. Where are the 2nd year UA students you promised, sir??? But, yeah, the Todoroki drama continues to be more and more fucked up by the weeks. Please let this family have peace one day I’m begging 🙏.

WARNING:ANGEST,FLUFF,PREGNANT Y/N,OVER PROTECTIVE BAKUGO
ENJOY?
yellow eyes and a black body showing up with a man who's purple? Well half purple But you still didn't know what he wanted from you, and then the purple man spoke "Your the wife of the number 2.hero,pro hero Dynamight" he asked. You didn't respond because you were really scared.'' I'll ask you again, are you Dyinmait's wife?'' You answered graciously '' Yes, I am.'' ''Now we wait for him'' ''he won't come unprepared.'' ''Oh, you think he won't, and I thought you knew your husband. '' ''What are you talking about? Of course I do.'' ''Then you know he would've come here if he was worried for you.'' all of a sudden You heard a loud explosion. Your first thought was Katsuki. You were so happy when you saw him with all of your friends at the door. As they were fighting, Katsuki came and untied you, trying to make a run for it. As you two ran out of the building, you were not even processing what just happened. Was this real? When you came home, you knew right away what was going to happen. You had a big lecture from your husband about how stupid it was for you to get caught by the leuge of villins.]
[''You could have died. What were you thinking, dumbass?'' ''I'm sorry. I didn't know they were after me.'' ''They're after you, dummy; you're the wife of the number 2 hero of Japan.'' ''Yeah, you don't have to brag about being the number two hero, you know.'' ''What does it matter, are you hurt?''' ''Of course I'm hurt'' you said, but you didn't have the heart to tell him that, and when you were waiting for him, you found out you were pregnant, but now you know for a fact that it had died from all the punches in your stomach. Now that you had nothing to tell him, you felt really bad. After covering your wounds, he asked ''Is there anywhere else where you were scratched or badly injured?'' You couldn't hold back your tears and started crying, knowing you couldn't go back in time to change things. You wanted to tell him so badly but didn't want him to go all out on you anymore ''why didn't you take more care?'' Or '''why didn't you listen to me and stayed at home while I was in the hospital'']
[''y/n You know, you can tell me'' soft bakugo was a rare thing. but you remained silent for a while. You took a deep breath, trying to calm down. ''I'm going to the hospital tomorrow'' you said. ''Of course you are.'' You looked at him with a worried face. You didn't want him to come because you were going to see if there was any chance the baby was still alive. Even though your dreams are small, you still have hope. I'm going alone. ''NO!'' You said; he can't know even if you get caught again.]
[''w-what do you mean, no, I have to come with you to know if you're okay?'' ''Fine, you said, but I may have something to tell you before we go to the doctor.'' He looked at you, waiting for you to tell him. ''You see, I wanted to tell you this before you went to the hospital, but I didn't have a chance to tell you the news'' you said ''so what was the news you wanted to tell me?'' You took a deep breath. ''I'm pregnant.'' He looked at you, pulling away from your hug. ''Are you sure you're pregnant?'' ''Yes'' he hugged you, not wanting to let go, but then it hit him. You wanted to tell him you were pregnant before you were kidnapped by the League of Villins. Does that mean the baby might be dead? No, theres still hope. ''did… Did they hit you in the stomach?'' He asked Sakely, and you could feel your tears building up in your eyes as you responded with a quiet yes.]
[''Let's go to bed. We will think about what we will do in the morning'' but Bakugo is raging right now. All he could see was red. All he could feel was rage. You were trying to get him to bed, but he was too hot-headed to even lie down with you. Come on, Bakugo, you know you can't change anything now. Maybe the baby is still alive''you said. he said quietly ''The baby is alive, and where his parents after all? So hes strong as hell.'' ''You think it's a boy, no, it's a girl for sure.'' You said, ''I don't care; I just want it to be alive, but of course he is.'' ''Your ego is too big.'' You said he just growled in response. You laugh. ''Come on, let's go to bed. We have a big day ahead of us.'' ''Yeah, yeah, I know women.'' You two fell asleep cuddling and watching a movie together.]
That's it for part 2, for those who want a part 3 repost and like this story. and sorry for the wait.

Dress Code, Diversity, Humanity, and Music
free/without ankimo magazine
Yeah umm don't shout rude stuff in the crowd 😭😭😭 common sense don't be like A-san
original link:
This is Shiren.
I'm writing this note urgently right now.
It's about something that's been a bit of a topic on Twitter—during the Nagoya live show, there was a guest (let's call them "A") who loudly stated, "We don't need the acoustic set." I thought I'd address this from my perspective and decided to write about it.
Along with this, I want to share my thoughts on broader topics like "What is a person?" and "What is music?" (Yeah, huge themes).
Please keep in mind that what I'm writing here is just my opinion. It's about what I, from my own position and values, see and feel. I'd be happy if you could read it calmly, considering it more as a debate rather than swallowing it whole or rejecting it all because some parts might not match your own views.
I'll write in detail because cutting corners might lead to misunderstandings.
First of all, "Please don't shout unnecessary comments during live shows" is something that basically everyone already understands and follows without being told. So I might end up repeating obvious things here.
(And this intro is already getting long!! Sweat is dripping from my forehead lol)
This is still just an introduction, but keep in mind that this is a matter of "dress code" and "profit and loss." I'm not trying to talk about "justice," "what's right as a person," "morality," or "common sense."
Those concepts—"justice," "what's right," "morality," and "common sense"—are ambiguous definitions that change depending on the times, environment, culture, and individual circumstances.
Even during the pandemic, there was a lot of debate around those topics, like the so-called "self-restraint police" criticizing restaurants for staying open during uncertain times when no one knew how compensation would work. People would easily say, "How could you open your store at a time like this!?" I get what they were saying, but it costs money to keep a business alive, and for some, closing down once could mean never recovering. Everyone has their own desperate sense of "justice."
But that's not the kind of shaky concept I'm talking about here. I'm talking about "dress code" and "profit and loss," something that applies equally to everyone.
Now, about the issue with A-san.
Apparently, A-san was talking loudly enough for others to hear, but I personally didn't hear anything. If I had heard it, I would've started the mission to get them out of the venue as quickly as possible so we could restart the show.
In my own calculation of profit and loss:
1. I could leave A-san alone, letting them stay, and ask others to endure the discomfort (for those who could hear them, it might have been hard to enjoy the show).
2. I could have A-san removed, making them lose out significantly but allowing everyone else to continue as usual. It might take some time, though.
Given those two options, I would've chosen the second—if I'd heard them, I would have asked them to leave.
As for opinions on the setlist, of course, everyone is free to have their own. If a young, hot-blooded person says, "No acoustic set! Let us go wild with every song!" I’d just think, "Oh, you're full of energy! 🤘" and leave it at that.
For example, after the live show, if someone shares on Twitter or a blog, or with friends, "I didn’t need the acoustic set, I wanted to go wild the whole time!"—well, that's their freedom. (Though I’d appreciate it if they also mentioned what they did like about the show.)
My favorite bands, like X JAPAN and JAM Project, always have an acoustic set as part of their live shows, and I enjoy it. If I were to compare it to a meal, it's like the pickles that come with a set meal. I personally love when the pickles in my meal are tasty.
A live show is something everyone in the room participates in. It’s not just the band performing that makes it; the behavior of the audience is part of creating a shared space.
In some restaurants, there’s a dress code. You have to wear a jacket, or you can’t enter without a collared shirt—things like that.
Likewise, "Please don’t shout unnecessary comments during the live show" is like an unspoken dress code. They don’t need to explicitly state, "Don’t expose yourself and headbang in circles 🌪," though that would also involve legal issues. (At home, you can listen however you want!)
If someone can’t cooperate in creating that shared space, they can’t stay in the venue.
Especially now, there are rules asking the audience not to shout during shows. To blatantly go against that and complain just doesn’t match up in terms of risk versus reward! If you break the dress code twice, immediate removal without a refund seems pretty justified. Still, how you balance risk and reward is up to each individual, as long as you can accept the consequences.
Anyway, that’s the end of the background. It was just a bunch of facts.
Now we’ll get into more complex territory, along with my thoughts.
A-san lacks basic social skills. Whether they struggle in daily life or people think, "Oh, this person is hopeless," I’m not sure.
Music is one form of entertainment that people of all statuses, personalities, races, and education levels can enjoy equally. When music moves your heart or body, it’s a pleasure that reaches a very primal part of being human.
Many other forms of entertainment are influenced by money or environment. From that perspective, music has a very low barrier to enjoyment (though attending a live show can cost money). But as far as music itself goes, it’s accessible.
It’s a blessing that even someone socially disadvantaged like A-san can still enjoy music, an equal form of entertainment.
Just like music itself, I also want to keep the barrier to my own music as low as possible. I want everyone to enjoy it. I’m just one person, so within the limits of what benefits me, of course.
That’s why I hope A-san can learn to internalize the concept of a "dress code." It’s for their own good. Whether it's at Unlucky Morpheus' shows or other bands' shows, I hope they never mess around like that again! 🌪

Yk what ive already made all my statements abt the teen wolf movie on instagram but imma say it here
As much as i love and breath teen wolf, its not the perfect show which is fine bc recognizing that is what makes its good. The thing is the movie? Godawful. The one thing i can appreciate is that the movie had an opening and the graohic design was cool
My problems with it?
-the plotline being abt allison. I think alisson (is it allison or alisson?) Is a fine character especially in s3, however, you killed her off. That whole s3 ending was abt her dying and isaac leaves BECAUSE of allison dying. Now ur gonna reopen that plotline that was TIED OFF? Ur not even gonna get stiles or isaac back into play even tho theyre arguably the most important for that season. And ur not gonna tell us how s6 ended??? Even with a flashforward of 2 years??
-the fbombs. Im sorry, what? U make a show that doesnt use f bombs at all and u make it creepy and horror but when u make the movie thats r rated meaning u can go even harder... u use it on fbombs? Might i add in the worst way possible. "Darkness motherfucker" wow. It just sounds so cringey. Either use it once meaningfully or dont drop one at all. U managed to make s3 be creepy without it do it again
-why the absolute fuck was liam in japan. By the hour and a half mark that question wasnt explained and it never was. Him and this girl hikari (whos gr8 actually) are just in japan and i guess own a bar??? I dont even know what they are to eachother let alone how they ended up there. I only knew that they love eachother bc they say that in jpn but like still??? Is it a sibling ily or a were dating and ily?
-the actors. Im sorry but if ur gonna get all these actors like masons and parrish and malia and whoever but u give them like what one line? Mason had legit like 2 lines in that movie. And u dont even know how he beacme a police officer! He just is! And they dont even say anything abt corey??? U could easily get his actor i know he aint doin anything rn. Liam and hikari? Also have like 3 lines in the movie
-personal thing lol but not everyone looks good with a beard and a shaved head
-lydia and stiles. Just bc u coudnt get dylan obrien cuz hes like the most succesful does NOT mean u just break up the couple that u built for six. seasons. You couldve said literally anything you couldve said stiles was dealing with some fbi shit or another supernatural disaster. Lydia having the dream? Tragic but stiles wouldnt have cared bc he loves her and wouldve just wanted to be with her forever.
-how can u not tell us who elis mother is. We ALLLL wanna know who derek banged im sorry but he slept with the enemy like three times and with his history and family history everyone just wants to know who it was.
-dereks death. WHAT THE FUCK this man survived a *pipe* going thru his back for like 10 minutes and survived, got brutally slashed and survived and ur telling me he died by magical fire. Sure teen wolf sure.
-if ur gonna introduce a character like alec in the season finale, bring him into play somehow recast him idc but do smt. Even nolan! Someone !
-what was with the whole nogitsune temple thing?? It was so... not scary at all and it looked bad. Like idk it was just so kiddy. Like oh noooo we re trapped bc we re tied to a pole with rope -_-
-sorry but again why continue a plotline that has been tied off? And not continue with the one that was open ended when u cant even get the significant actors for the s3 plotline? Bring daniel sharman into play, medicis over he has the freetime.
-malia and scott breaking up is also stupid bc again they were "endgame" and they had no reason to break up other than the fact that allison was alive again and for plot reasons.
-harrison coming back was so stupid i was so glad they killed him off even tho i guess they never found his body. I was hoping
-are argent and melissa not dating anymore? Its been like 3 months since ive seen the movie so i dont rememeber that but if they arent, why are the writers/producers, whoever, so desperate to break up everything great they had goin at the end of the show.
The interesting parts of the movie were
-the intro
-elis backstory with his dad, except why would u hate derek its literally tyler hoechlin
-and scott having an animal clinic bc i think thats funny
#teen wolf#teen wolf the movie#my problems with this movie#scott mccall#stiles stilinski#lydia martin#liam dunbar#isaac lahey#i had a lot of problems with this movie#teen wolf content is teen wolf content#and allegedly we are getting more movies#but that doesnt mean i cant criticise it#rambles#rant#teen wolf mtv

One Piece Brazillian AU
In which they are travelling in a van (Merry) and later a bus (Sunny) through all of Brazil. That might be very selfish, but I'm doing it anyway. Thank @majubengel's amazing art for it.
They set pretty good places/locations for each straw hat: Luffy from Belo Horizonte (it's my city and I might be way too happy about it but whatever), Zoro from Salvador, Nami from Belém, Usopp from Brasília, Chopper from Canela, Robin from São Raimundo Nonato, Franky from São Paulo, Jinbei from Fortaleza and Brook from Cu de Judas (don't look this up btw it's not a real place it means judas' ass hole and it's just an expression to a very distant isolated place nobody knows), they also said Doflamingo is from Rio de Janeiro
From my own: Vivi is from Vitória, Yamato is from Curitiba, Law is from Niterói, Kid and Killer are from Recife, Shirahoshi is from Manaus, Perona is from Ouro Preto, Ace is from Uberaba, Sabo is also from Belo Horizonte and Carrot is from Porto Velho.
Skypiea is Fernando de Noronha, Wano is the state of Paraná, Alabasta is the state of Espírito Santo, Enies Lobby is STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal/Supreme Federal Court), Ohara is Serra da Capivara, Marineford is Forte Caxias, Sabaody is Florianópolis, Punk Hazard is Urupema, Dressrosa is Rio de Janeiro, Zou is the state of Rondônia, Whole Cake happens in Pantanal, Egghead is Campinas, Elbaf is Gramado and Impel Down is Centro de Confinamento de Terrorismo (yes I googled that)
Names on this AU:
Luffy - Luz
Zoro - Zacarias
Nami - Naomi
Usopp - Uirapuru
Sanji - Sales
Chopper - Chauá
Robin - Roberta
Franky - Francisco
Brook - Breu
Jinbei - Jair
Vivi - Viviane
Yamato - same (decided to keep his name cuz of a reason I'm telling later)
Law - Laurie
Bonney - Bombom
Kid - Kaique
Killer - Kevin
Shirahoshi - Iara (this is based off the main siren/mermaid tale in Brazil who's name is Iara)
Perona - Petra
Ace - Alex
Sabo - Saulo
Carrot - Coral
Doflamingo - Douglas (he uses Doflamingo though cuz he thinks Douglas is a poor people name)
Crocodile - Crocodilo (didn't change much cuz he is trans here and he'd choose that name)
Marco - he can keep his name.
Enel - Enem (Not a real name but I had to make that joke cuz that's the name of brazillian national exam for college and also everyone's greatest fear)
Lucci - Lúcio
Hancock - Anahí (it looks to have no relation, but I like the name and you'll see an explanation later)
Pudding - Pudim (poor girl)
Katakuri - Amido (ok, I looked up his ethimology and its some kind of plant used to make flour. I didn't want to, but now the guy is gonna get bullied for a completely different reason. Sorry dude)
Big Mom - Mãezona (I'm so sorry)
Marshall D. Teach - Marcos
Kaidou - Kaito
Some other notes: non-human species are now brazillian folklore creatures. Perona is some kind of loira do banheiro (with the difference that she is alive). The Wano people are all of japanese descendant (Brazil is the place with most japanese people outside of Japan in the world). Doflamingo is basically a dono do morro very influencial in all favelas of Rio. The Amazon Lily girls are Icamiabas, who are said to have been a group of indigenous fighting ladies at XVI century who were mistaken to be the amazons. Kept the Charlotte family food theme cuz I want it (has no explanation for it actually). CP-9 is from ABIN (though they are much cooler than ABIN). Ohara is set in Serra da Capivara as it is a historical spot with lots of cave paintings and stuff. Chopper is a veado-bororó-do-sul. Luffy is basically Chico Bento (look him up). Campinas is Egghead cuz it's a technology poll. Gramado is Elbaf cuz its a touristical point because of its influence from european immigrants' culture. Law is from Niterói cause... well, Niterói and Rio are similar to US's New Jersey and New York. Sorry, Niterói, you get a horrible death from bio weapon, swear it's nothing personal (I also wanted to "parallel" revolta da vacina). Chose Ouro Preto to the setting of Thriller Bark due to it being full of ghost stories, old buildings (like, centuries old) and stuff. Sea Lords are Boiuna and Minhocão. One of Hancock's sisters is basically the Princesa Encantada de Jericoacoara. Her place was taken by Mihawk and that's Kuraigana Island. Fishman Island is Manaus.
Please ask things about this I got lots of ideas.

What's up, y'all! It's me again :) It's been a while since I've made a Yapper post, but here are are. You probably know how I write by now. I write things down in the order I think of them, so things might be a little scattered, but if you can get past that, then I hope you enjoy my ramblings.
Today's Topic: that Green teaser. (Oh boy, here we go-)
Where do I even start with this? I don't know. Hopefully, this will get easier the more I write. Let's start with the numbers first. 02/27/96. Those numbers seemed familiar to me the moment I saw them. 02/27/96 was the date that Pokémon was first introduced to the world. But not Pokémon Red and Blue, no. Pokémon Red and Green.
For those who don't know, the first Pokémon Games: Pocket Monsters Red and Green, were released in 96 in Japan for the Game Boy, with Pocket Monsters Blue coming out later that same year. Then, on 09/28/98, came the international releases of the game. Being Renamed from Pocket Monsters to Pokémon, Pokémon Red and Blue were released in North America, with Australia and Europe getting the game a bit later. Red and Blue are an extremely popular name, so it's most likely that those are the versions you played growing up. (Don't look at me though, I wasn't even alive yet. I just like Pokémon.) (Small history lesson-)
Anywho, with all that being said, what I was trying to say was that back then, it was just Red and Green. You see, in my mind (because I don't think it's been said otherwise), Missing Numbers follows the timeline of game release dates, and not so much the actual cannon story. So, back when all of this started, there was just Red, Green, and Blue. But Green, as a character, doesn't exist, unlike Blue. For all intents and purposes, it was Red and Blue, which leaves the question: Who and Where is Green? (I'm aware that The Rival/Blue is named Green in Japan, let me yap.)
My first initial thought was that Green was the unnamed female protagonist who never got added to the original games. However, I shot that idea down pretty quickly. After all, she already exists in Missing Numbers, and she has a name, which I believe is Verdant. Plus, she has a face—unlike Green. But let's put a pin in this for a second and get back to the teaser.
The Text for the teaser gives me a lot of vibes and feeling about it. Some good, some bad, some confusing and some more comprehensible than the others. So let's start from the top.
Amongst the bugs.: This line gives me two distinct vibes, and I can't quite tell which one I'm leaning towards. The first being is that the word bugs is referring to glitches, like Glitch City. And the second is more condescending. Like they're looking down on all the other characters, especially since the word bugs is in bold. The little shrug that Green gave also seemed pretty blasé in a "who cares?" or "why does it matter?" type of way—like they really couldn't care less about the world or the people in it.
On the other side, a world grows anew.: This part, to me, seems to be pretty clearly referencing the creation of Modern Pokémon and the Remakes of Gen 1, being FireRed and LeafGreen.
One loses himself alone, chained by the heavens.: While, initially, I thought that this part was referring to Fire, after thinking about it, it feels more like it's referencing Red instead. While Fire is chained up at the summit of Mt. Silver, I don't really think he's losing himself up there. Red though? Oh yeah, he's definitely losing it—if he hasn't already lost it entirely. Plus, he's being chained down there by Leaf, too (I think?), and her powers were given to her by god, so chained by the heavens seems to fit the bill. Might just be me though.
You faced towards the sky- towards the screen- almost transfixed.: THIS- This part has my brain spinning in circles and doing the cha-cha slide. This could mean so many things, at least I think it could, and it's sorta gonna lead me to my next point. But, are they looking up at us? Knowingly or unknowingly? Are we looking down at them?
Oh boy, here we go. The real theory crafting of this long-ass post. Take the pin out of the "Who is Green" paper, because we're going back to it. Let's look over what we know about Green. We don't know their gender, and they don't have a face, or at the very least, we haven't seen it. They seem a bit like an avatar. After all, projecting ourselves onto nameless, faceless, blank protagonists is what we do as players. But it's that "towards the screen- almost transfixed" bit that gets me. What if Green is us? Or like us, in a way? What if Green is a player, or the personification of every player out there? Everyone, yet no one—all at once. Maybe Green is some sort of an Isekai? After all, they seem to know about MissingNo and the many glitches like it, but they also know things that we couldn't possibly know without being in their world, like what glitching out and corruption feels like. Not to mention, and maybe it's just me, but the way that the note is worded is kind of weird. But that's probably just weird vibes. And, the word "you" is mentioned so many times it just feels like it's pointing toward the obvious. (Please don't tell me y'all put a Red Herring in a post about Green-) (Adding this on last minute, but I really want to know if Red knows Green.)
Who are you? "Who's to say?" Only your goddamned self, that's who.
In conclusion: Green gives me player vibes and I'm not sure how to feel about it.
Okay, I think I'm done now. I've written this out over several hours, and I had to rewrite it after losing the first draft :/ but it's done now. Again, forgive any randomness, but I had to ramble about what was in my brain. It's probably a really dumb theory in comparison to all my other ones, but thinking about the characters is fun. Anywho, I hope you enjoyed my yap session. And, Mods? I hope y'all are doing well. Till next time!
((We always enjoy your yap sessions dear soldier.))
#mn theories#((The poem and many things about green are supposed to make you second guess a lot. the poem has a lot of double meanings.))#((I very much do enjoy your interpretation of them and your theories it is very interesting.))#((Overall very good and well rounded theory#rather spot on))#((I cannot answer any of your questions but since you spent several hours on this I'll give you a hint.))#((The answer behind the connections is right beneath your nose. sometimes its good to take a moment and smell the nicely trimmed grass.))
