i get a bit confused when people say so//namy was canon in sonic boom.... like idk much about the games side of sonic boom so maybe theres something im missing here but ive seen the entire tv show (which is the only aspect of boom that most people care about if we're being honest here) at least 4 or 5 times over and they most certainly were not dating what are you talking about

#i mean yeah there was some very blatant and annoying ship baiting in there im not denying that #but a ship being occasionally joked about when theyre not officially together #and dont really do anything romantic together onscreen doesnt really make it canon i dont think #like i vividly remember a scene where eggman calls amy sonics girlfriend and sonic gets annoyed and says she isnt #and also jokes where the punchline is literally just ''amy likes sonic but doesnt want him to know''#which . wouldnt make sense if they were already dating. because obviously if they were sonic would know she likes him #but also the fact that they never even. said. that theyre dating. should be evidence enough that theyre not #there isnt really anything more than those little ship baiting jokes that come up and jupmscare you occasionally #but then again people who are super into the big popular default m/f sonic ships #tend to just . treat them as if theyre canon even if theyre not . those people even think si//lvaze is canon somehow??#so . not too surprising i guess. they will literally just say anything
