OK so on the palm of our hands thing i have a few things to say

first of all i love how Ash knew that he knew what to continue with bc they are just so in sync with each other ofc <3 and OFC they had to put that scene in for the last episode, like when it was in the Mewto episode for the first time, i was honestly screaming of how cute it was LIKE THE FACT ASH MADE THE LITTLE ADD ON OF 'OUR HANDS' IN THE FIRST TIME THEY DID IT JUST MAKES IT EVEN MORE CUTER EJHSKF

but anyways as much as i love this scene because of how 'the future is in the palm of our hands', can be interpreted in some otherways, 👀 I also couldnt help but thing about something else.

after/before the Project mew stuff actually started/finished (pretty sure it was after,) we see a scene of Goh, Gary and Horace using the 'palm of our hands' phrase together, and yeah its rlly cute lmao, but i was kind of hoping it was something unique for Ash and Goh, not trying to be a fusspot, but i think the scene now feels slightly less special to me now Goh used it with some other people?

I mean sure, ash and goh were still the first people who did it, and it IS their kind of thing lmao, like they created it. Even tho it was just an initial thought, it is still really sweet that goh used it with others don't get me wrong <3

I really like the Valks HC choice. She's been very effective with the LVAces and I expect that to continue. Same with the recent news we go today of Tyler Marsh with the Sky. I think LVAces coaching staff in general is so strong and them branching off is good for the league and both the Valks and the Sky with these coaches and a little bit of time for player development should eventually be really good. Ultimately the lawsuit is a front office issue and I don't think these two had much to do with it and so until I see issues in their new respective teams, I don't think we can hold it against them.

LIBERTYYYYYYY. So happy for them and of course props to the Lynx. And honestly thank you to both teams for giving us what I think, despite that one foul, is the greatest W finals we've ever had.

Been playing Final Horizon most of the day, having a good time by and large, lots of positive things to say. But! I'm gonna save those for later, because right now I'm in the mood to bitch. See, I think many of Frontiers' mechanics, as they are, don't always facilitate the level of difficulty Final Horizon goes for. Or in simpler terms, game too hard :(

As a semblance of necessary context I'm playing the game on hard mode and found the entire first playthrough of the game plus all of the first and second updates' content very easy. This isn't a fact that bothers me and I didn't like specifically need the game to be harder, but like I wouldn't have minded it tbf. Final Horizon by and large has been harder in pretty good ways, primarily just with tighter platforming sections that ask more of the player, and more involved Island Challenges with actually strict timers. These bits are kino. I'm really enjoying them a lot. No complaints at all.

But the part where I'm bitching is the changes made to Guardians - for a tl;dr they just do more damage and have more health (plus some new attacks tbf), so now even playing as maxed out characters they take several minutes to defeat because they're arbitrarily spongy as fuck. I think the combat in Frontiers is pretty fun and disappointingly the base game made it a bit too easy to max out and then combat encounters were over in seconds, but this is a bit of an overcorrection - as it stands I actively dread Guardian fights because it's just "oh hey can't wait to spend like 7 minutes fighting the same enemy with the same few attacks" and knowing that if I take too much damage I'll just like run slightly away and cyloop for a bit. It's not really an engaging or rewarding challenge at all and I think either the combat needs to have a lot more mechanical depth to facilitate fights of this length or they should just not make bosses this strong lmao.

The other way in which the game is being a bitch is with specifically the M120 island challenge - in which you align some statues so they light up, cyloop some torches so they activate floating platforms for you to run along, and then you use those platforms on a timer to chase down a flying orb which you mash the attack button until it, uh, you finish the challenge. The flying orb challenge thing is honestly the worst type of challenge in the game anyway, it's finicky and not that clear what you should be doing and the button mashing sucks, and yeah no this specific use of it is just too fucking much dude. Am I supposed to be mashing really fast? In a certain rhythm? Some other bullshit? It genuinely doesn't feel doable to me on the timer you have, and I've tried to cheese it through other means but just haven't found success. The target reticle doesn't even always stay on the thing so sometimes I just randomly end up attacking because uhhh fuck me I guess. Like it's so shitty and tedious and I'm aware I'm gamer raging because the game got the best of me but I just think this specific puzzle type is ass bro.

By and large most of the difficulty increases are super enjoyable so far but yeah nah fuck these specific parts lol.

Very interested to see which things they expect to be relevant in the "Previously On". Looks like a lot of Harfoots and Halbrand's backstory. And the Elf racism against the Men of the "Southlands" (Which is just English for "Harad" except, they're not IN Harad, they're the greater Lake Nurn area in what will eventually become Mordor.

I paid a lot more attention to the soundtrack this time and it really is great!

One Piece Chapter 1023 - Initial Thoughts

15 Minutes is on the clock

Onigashima reaches the mainland and the fights continue on. Including the Wings of the King vs the Disasters of the Beast

Without further ado, let's get into it

Back to where we left off with the boys being back in town

Kawamatsu's here to save Zoro from interference, and Hyou's telling the Yakuza not to get in the way of this fight

Marco though is a pensive Pineapple, taking a good long look at King as he recalls Whitebeard telling him about King's race living on the Red Line before the world nobles, Void Century and before stuff

Mention of Gods does fuel one of my old post fan theories, but also fuels that the WG kicked King's race out of the Red Line

Izo though out here saving Marco from being an easy target, tbh Marineford did show he was prone to a surprise attack

Asking Izo if they believe in God though in a raid that may lead to their deaths is kinda irreverent right now though huh?

Queen back to hyping themselves up though

I would issue doubt on Queen's claim that their enhancements are beyond Vegapunk's, given how little we know of Vegapunk after all

King's got a special sword too, it can change its edge to be teethy which he used to ensnare Zoro's swords

Wado saves Zoro's face from eating King's spiked fist though

King does make a fair point though, traditional weapons are romanticized but a fight's about getting every advantage you can, Zoro at least respects that since King never claimed to be a Swordsman, while also reminding King that he could be a feral bastard too

Kawamatsu and Hyou muse over how Zoro was like Ushimaru when he was young, even down to his style (though that could be more Shimotsuki Koushiro's doing since he's Zoro's master)

Also Ushimaru was Ryuma's direct descendant, which means that 1. Ryuma banged, 2. Swordsmanship runs in the blood and 3. Ryuma banged

Also Ryuma also had the one eye, and it does seem pretty mythical that a swordsman of similar skill and stature returns Shusui back to Wano (even though this should mean that Shusui would be Zoro's birthright and he was kinda forced into relinquishing it)

Also worth reminding that Kozaburo was Kuina's grandpa so there may only be loose relations if Zoro is a Shimotsuki too, we don't exactly know how Kozaburo and Ushimaru are related if it's by blood or clan, plus I still wonder about Tashigi

Over to Jack vs Inu though, and Jack's hybrid form is just...weird

Both are pretty tired, as Jack mocks Inu saying he has forgiven Zou for the Raizo stuff, since he already destroyed most of it

Inu though with the shoulder toss, reminding Jack that they had to make these sacrifices to get to here

But we're getting the epic speech, and the hole in the roof caused by Ashura's sacrifice is changing Inu back into Su Long

Same thing is happening with Neko, turning Su Long in front of Carrot and Wanda (who I guess are covering from the moon) as he stares down Perospero

And I'm glad Neko's pointing out that Pedro's sacrifice is valid. I truthfully always felt a bit iffy about people saying that Carrot's desire to avenge Pedro was ill-found because 'Pedro killed himself'. Had Pedro not sacrificed himself then Brook and Chopper would've been dead by candy and Big Mom would've obliterated the rest on the ship

Raizo and Megaforehead though prelude with the mention of maturity, that everyone - even the Akazaya - needed time to mature into who they wanted to be

Down to the surface though and the Heart Pirates are on high alert/panic, they think Kaido's here

But it's Momo, and he looks magnificent

Shinobu's aged him up to 28, the age he'd be had he not been leapt through time, but now she's upset he looks like Kaido

There's new fire in Momo's eyes though, the return ascent begins!

Can you feel that? It feels like the last stretch before the ultimate battle of Wano

Sanji and Zoro vs King and Queen hopefully will remain a tag bout, but I am curious as to King's abilities and what's affecting Sanji in terms of the raid suit. It's not bad to have a limitation but this is the first we've heard of it after seeing him use it 4 times. I don't hate Zoro being a Shimotsuki, though I do feel like we could've built to this, plus we're still lacking in the how.

One wonders what role Marco will now play, and whether Tiny Tiny Chopper is due to recover. We haven't heard from the others for a bit, nor CP0 nor Yamato. Our Pineapple does have unfinished business with Edward Weevil tbf so he could make it out, Izo may be a variable in that, they've yet to learn of Kiku's fate.

Also we never did see who that mystery person was did we? Still could be Hiyori

Marco's musing about gods does feel like we're gonna get more about King, and more lore of the world that Robin will love to soak up like a sponge, Oda have been leaving these seeds since Skypeia, and where there are Gods, there are Devils.

We are however getting major death flags from the minks, one last turn to Su Long to enable their efforts. I like how Ashura's sacrifice is not in vain because of this though, it makes me wonder if there's a slither of hope for Kin and Kiku. If anything though the minks will die from exhaustion rather than being defeated, Su Long eats away at you after all, it's probably gonna be traumatizing for Carrot a little but I hope we see some resolve out of her more like when she was in Zou and WCI, I still want her for Nakama.

And then the final coup de grace, giant dragon Momo, it's one hell of a panel and it means we're bringing Luffy back into the fight. But the extent of Momo's ripening is only in body remember, in mind he's still young. But now we have the setup for the final fight between Luffy and Kaido, I'll expect in that time we'll have to try and finish off everything else with the Akazaya, reconvening the Straw Hats, King, Queen, Big Mom, Kid, Law, Killer, Hawkins, Apoo and Drake.

Act's not over yet, less than 15 minutes until Onigashima Falls.

[ I'm not entirely sure how you mean Marked, so I'll try to answer this in the couple of ways that someone could marked Mega. (I'm guessing you mean left an impression on in a good/bad way and I hope I'm right! ) ] [ Granted, please keep in mind, I seldom use names when it comes to negative experiences unless it's outright to protect individuals from something really awful. But simple drama doesn't deserve me calling people out outright I feel anymore. Just isn't worth the time/effort or the added drama. ] [ Positive Mark, Mega has had a lot of these! I can't remember their name specifically as it's been years now, but I knew an Elf who use to do Technical Seminars and stuff and they put in some orders for some machinery from Mega that was in regards to farming/irrigation and power supply and it was one of his larger IC Arcano-tech projects. This person not only surprised him by giving him the chance to prove himself but was so impressed with his efforts that they actually invited Megahes (and by extension me) to be a speaker at a small Tech Meeting to Discuss Technical Ideas with other like minded individuals. I was positively floored and very humbled that I got asked to do something like that. Tbf, any time I'm ever invited to do something in a public capacity because someone else has seen how hard I work, it humbles me and leaves me with this mixed feeling of embarrassment and pride. (lol) So, that was a massive positive mark that helped launch me in the direction that's led me this far! I wish I could remember the name now, but alas, I've forgotten it sadly. :( This other positive mark, I know will have some controversy attached it is just because of their name and former associations or things brought up to them. But, they're a part of my history and while we did split ways, I grew to be a better person (or so I hope) because of those experiences and revelations after seperating. V Firebrand; They were the GM of Firebrand Enterprises for a while before they retired from WoW or at least that character/guild. But V ended up giving me a lot of Faith in myself as both a GM and as a Creative RPer after I lost a lot of faith in myself and they also put a lot of faith IC to Megahes as a Leader and Engineer as well. While he had been in leadership positions before (and obviously currently is). There was a lot of fundamental things he learned about how he wanted/didn't want to run his own business when he left Firebrand and made the FBC. While the two of them weren't best friends or anything by the end of it, V made it a point to be very hospitable to Megahes and the FBC (Both IC and OoC) and offered continued support to our enterprises in the form of sending potential clients/customers our direction on regular occasions or even a few new members from time to time. V gave Megahes and myself opportunities and chances that a lot of others weren't willing to give us at the time; so credit certainly deserves to be given in that respect and up until their group got so large that they didn't need outside work with us anymore, they routinely sent people to do business with us as well if not did business with us directly. ] [ Negative Marks; Before I go into these, both of these stains for Mega also come coupled with how players also handled situations OoC as well. So, to be open about it. I wasn't a huge fan of how they conducted themselves OoC and then the way they also handled/approached things IC was also pretty shit-birdish. (lol) That being said; both of these individuals came to join the FBC shortly after we began doing public events and posting brochures (Our earliest versions of what are now our full-fledged catalogs) and they stayed with us less than a week, just long enough to see what all was going on, get names, learn where we did things IC (such as work and keep supplies, etc.). Once they left, one of them, without any attempt to consult any of us, Meta'd that their character broke into our warehouses and stole -tons- of gear and equipment and then blackmailed us into getting it back. Mega didn't take this

well and that's when the threat of an Icicle Catheter was born. They subsequently gave it back and never showed up again. (I tried to explain to them OoC that I would have been fine with this plot if it had been discussed with me first, cause we have security in such places. But, they sort of wrote it off and never really returned. ) The other individual did similarly in time, came in and left but once they left, they suddenly began to sell tons of stuff damn near the exact same as what we were selling. I mean, down to a T, it was practically a copy paste of stuff my Members worked very hard creatively to come up with. So, we did our best to just ignore it and move on until this person started making it a point to IC harass people who came to do business with us, sometimes well within hearing range (and sometimes at public events too). They went as far as to OoC reach out to people they saw with us and tried to bash our efforts and bad mouth us to foster up RP for themselves. It never really worked mind, almost everyone told us about it and that actually caused them to want to work with us more. (Which I am truly grateful to those people for!) The couple of people that did go that way, well, it is what it is and people go where they like. All in all, despite their efforts and their mark on us IC and OoC, we still came out ahead I feel! Megahes however, made it a point to be -extremely- petty and every single time something came up about their creations, he'd drill out the questions all the way down to the basest elements, asking why some materials were picked over others. He'd just basically try to tear the designs apart in a 'I have questions' sort of format.] [ Thank you for the asks @jacobdcheshyre and apologies that it's so damn long winded! lol ]

One of the main reason I'll never go see the new top gun movie is so silly

I used to have a teacher in high school that fKN labelled hard questions as 'Top Gun'. Nothing bad right? But my stupid 16 year old had a crush on him, even tho he was way too old. Pretty sure I almost got him expelled from his teacher job cause my autistic ass latched on him for reassurance in those already weird times. Rumors did spread that we'd been fucking. But we never did fyi.

Yes I did see a therapist. Yes it's been over 10 years. No apparently I never got over it. The only time I reached out to him was to apologize for my weird conduct (tbf neither the school or me knew I was autistic)

Weird speech pattern? He didn't care. My weird ass hyperfixations? He'd listen to me. Me falling asleep in his office? He took it in stride

But I know that, because of me, he rushed his career because of rumors. And since then it never sat right with me.

I mean of fucking course he won't talk to me! That's not his job to deal with my stupid ass anymore. And I almost made him lose his job.
