I don't really talk about it but scrolling around today I was reminded that I (inhales) really love characters that are complex and messy and maybe meant well but fucked up and hurt people and their motivations might not be right but make sense given their background and
I know this is SUCH a controversial take on Tumblr.com where we love to reduce characters to 2 dimensional fandom versions but I had to say it
#ink thinks#i mean sure ive no doubt been guilty of fandomication in the past. and some of that is consuming media as a younger person#i think a lot of internet discourse can be boiled down into that actually. that teenagers are loud and vocal about what they love#but maybe haven't fully grasped certain complexities yet. which is fine. like its just how things are thats how growth works#BUT. ANYWAYS.#like characters like anakin skywalker who is one of my guys of all time. and there is so much wrong with him#and its undeniable that he did SO much wrong. obviously we all knew that.#but its like its so hard to figure out what's him and what's the result of having an evil grandfatherly figure#purposefully turn his logic processes into mush#AND THATS WHY HES INTERESTING. hes mentally ill he was manipulated from a young age and he decided the answer to this was murder#i understand why people don't like him because he IS genuinely just awful. but so many people reduce him to just that#whereas its like theres so many fucked up reasons hes like that and its fun to disect him under a microscope#i picked him bc hes super well known but i think most of my fandoms i have at least one person like this

Masterlist | The Vampire Diaries
Part I. Part II. Part III. Part IV. Part V. Part VI.
Two Weeks Ago
Cleaning the glass was the first thing he started on. Stefan didn’t need to find out what happened, and he wasn’t going to. “Heartless bitch.” He mumbled with every sweep of the broom until he was finished. Hands on his hips, he looked at the glassless window pane and huffed. Now to compel someone to fix the window...
Present Day
Damon didn’t want Stefan nor Elena to know about his murder and rescue plans. Maybe it was because he thought they would interfere or worse, tell Katherine. He wasn’t quite sure why he prevented their knowledge, but he did. Too much at risk. Too much he couldn’t afford to lose.
The days after their run-in felt oddly elongated, and far too so. He yearned to feel Y/n in his arms again, hold her close to him where he knew she’d be safe and warm. But he also yearned to show Katherine what she made him feel for the last century without Y/n.
Damon wanted to do something Damon-like for the first time in a short while. The hospital in Mystic Falls was alerting Stefan and Sheriff Forbes on the daily, large amounts of blood bags gone missing. Reason being, Damon was stockpiling his strength. He was serious about getting Y/n back.
“It has to be a vampire.”
“I thought it would be.” Stefan agreed. “But why do they need that much?”
Although Damon was 100% supportive of his plan, the others were too oblivious to agree. Their blindness to his plotting should’ve come as a forewarning to their reaction. If only Damon cared for things such as those.
With the mysterious disappearance of the blood bags came an inspection. Damon had fingers pointed at him, but not at the start. Stefan and Liz checked everyone, and no one turned up guilty. They knowingly shared a glance when they left the final house. It was blatantly obvious now.
“Stefan-”
“I know. Unless, we missed some vampire we don’t know about, it’s Damon.”
Liz shot him an empathetic look. Damon being involved with something wasn’t always the best news, but they were used to it by now. Together, Stefan and Liz went to the old Salvatore Boarding House, a hurried pace and all. Upon reaching their destination, Stefan decided it was a matter he needed to deal with himself. Brother to brother, vampire to vampire.
“I’ll deal with it.” He tried to reassure the sheriff.
She sighed heavily, thinking over their options. Hesitantly, she gave in. “You promise? We can’t have people picking up on what really happens.”
“You can trust me.” He nodded before walking into the boarding house, running into the person he just so happened to be looking for.
“Hello, little brother.”
“Damon.” His tone was stern and unamused. “So I have Liz outside...”
The raven haired brother let out a scoff-like-chuckle, “And?”
“And, she informed me of a little...situation.”
“What ‘situation’ might that be? What does it have to do with me?”
“A lot, actually. Can you, um, explain to me why the hospital is reporting a massive amount of blood bags as missing, Damon?”
A sound of shock, followed by a matching expression- which both strongly lacked effort, escaped Damon as he lied back onto the sofa. “There’s a new vampire in town?”
“Liz and I checked everywhere and everyone we could. I highly doubt there is.”
“Uh-huh... Well...then nope! Sorry, can’t help ya.” Damon rested his arms behind his head. His eyes shut and he grew used to the momentary silence. Then Stefan spoke, drawing a scowl from Damon as his tired lids snapped back open.
“We know it was you.”
“Ugh. Listen, I already told you, hero-hair. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.”
Stefan rounded the couch, determined to draw the truth from his brother. He’d been fooled one too many times to let this go. If anything, Stefan learned from the past, each time he was fooled was when he shrugged it off after few attempts. “I doubt that as well.”
“And I can’t help you with that either. Learn from me, Stef, some things a better just,” he brought his hands up, his expression holding a dream-state-like touch, “let go.”
“Not this.”
“Yes, this.” He stood up and began to walk to the stairs when Stefan grabbed his arm.
“Tell me the truth.” His eyes were pleading, and his insistence was starting to annoy Damon. “Please, Damon.”
He looked around, then sighed. “Fine. I’ve been stealing the blood because a war is about to begin brother.” He pat Stefan’s shoulder, “and I’m on the front lines.”
The words repeated in her mind, over and over, like a song on loop. “What does he mean, a war is about to begin’?” Elena’s face scrunched in confusion. Stefan shrugged, just as puzzled as her. They’d been at it all day, trying to figure out what Damon was up to. “Does he have any enemies that you know of?”
“Who isn’t Damon’s enemy?” Stefan scoffed. He smiled to himself. Then, it hit. The thoughts clicked together like a puzzle, or mechanical gears. His smile faded. “That’s it-”
“What’s it?”
“More like who’s it.” Stefan rushed to grab his coat. A new urgency joined his actions. “Katherine. Damon wants to fight Katherine.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?”
“No, it’s not. Y/n might be in love with Damon, but they’re still sisters. If he kills Katherine, she’ll never forgive him.”

How do you feel about Catra, Shadow Weaver, and Hordak? I know you said you find SW interesting but like on a scale how redeemable do you think these characters are. Ive seen a lot of infighting in the fandom cause some people love one and hate another and I just figured you would approach the topic nicely
Oh damn, happy to respond! (Under the cut because I don’t know how to shut up.)
I think I’ve seen some of the posts that you’re talking about, and my friend did tell me that there was apparently tension between Entrapdak and Catradora shippers for that very reason. Still, I should start off by saying that the only character who is probably completely irredeemable is Horde Prime. And knowing this show, they’ll find a way to humanize even him if they are so inclined. The great thing about She-Ra is that there aren’t so much heroes and villains as there are complicated people. Undertale is the same way. This might sound weird, but I legitimately hope Horde Prime does get humanized, because otherwise it’s just way too easy for all of the characters to band together and take him out for a happy ending. This show has never had a character that was pure evil before, know what I mean?
With that in mind...let’s talk about Hordak.
I know, I know...before Horde Prime was known to us...Hordak basically was Horde Prime. That’s the role he played in the show, and it’s not like he isn’t guilty of countless war crimes. He’s a conqueror, and yeah, conquerors should not get off scot-free. But...Hordak is also clearly an abuse victim. That doesn’t excuse him from what he’s done, but I can’t just ignore it. He was so eager to get back to Horde Prime, so determined to please him and prove himself to his “big brother.” and the moment that they’re reunited? We see what a nightmare it is for Hordak, see him get mentally violated and brain-washed. This can’t be the first time it’s happened, and yet all Hordak wanted was to return to Horde Prime. This man is so sheltered and so emotionally stunted in relationships, that I doubt he understands the full ramifications of his actions. He certainly doesn’t understand that he’s in abusive relationship. Hordak is just doing what he knows. He could learn better, if he learns to accept what a monster Horde Prime is. (But first he’ll need to break from the conditioning.)
I genuinely like how it took Entrapta, a character who isn’t really loyal to either side, to reach out to him and help him understand how it feels for a person to care about him, and not fear him even when he tries to be intimidating. And whether or not you ship them, (I do, I admit it) Hordak clearly has feelings for her and that guides his character in Season 4. I don’t know if Adora and the others will agree to take him in...but Entrapta will remember the bond they had. I just feel so bad for this guy, even if he has killed countless innocents. My philosophy about redeeming villains is very much a pragmatic one...will Hordak’s redemption spit in the face of all his victims? Perhaps. Will it bring them back to life? No. But neither will executing him or throwing him in prison. If he can heal, if he can learn better, and do better...why should we waste that growth? Why shouldn’t he be allowed the chance to make up for what he’s done? It seems to me like there is everything to be gained, and nothing to be lost, in letting him redeem himself.
Of course, there are many types of crimes...let’s move on to Shadow Weaver.
....She’s a child abuser. Plain and simple. That is a hard pill to swallow, that is a very difficult thing for me to look past. I don’t think I can do it. The way she treated Catra, the way it’s ruined Catra and Adora’s relationship...it’s unspeakable. She manipulates Catra one last time and leaves her high and dry so she can escape and go to Bright Moon...whereupon, she starts grooming Glimmer the same way she did Micah. I know it seems silly to be more upset about child abuse than what probably amounts to genocide on Hordak’s part...but part of it is how relatable the crimes are. There’s a reason most Harry Potter fans hate Umbridge more than Voldemort. Most people don’t know a mass-murderer, and excusing a character like Hordak won’t change their perspective on murder being wrong. But plenty of people might know an abuser, and abusers thrive on a culture that blames victims and downplays the effects of abuse, or otherwise excuses those responsible. We need to get better about sending the message that abuse is real, and wrong. But the great thing about She-Ra is that it depicts the cycle, from Shadow Weaver to Catra. If Catra is redeemable, why not Shadow Weaver?
And here’s the thing...I’m not saying she isn’t redeemable. Just that I don’t expect this show to fully redeem her, and I’m 100% behind that outcome. She could be allowed to live in peace with the other characters, her victims might forgive or at least tolerate her. (Especially if she wins over Micah again.) But even if I find her genuinely compelling...I’m not seeing too many outcomes where she would deserve this mercy. Shadow Weaver has done terrible, selfish things, and her only loyalties seem to lie with knowledge and power. She’s completely unrepentant, and while she acknowledges that she was “hard on Catra” she also refuses to apologize. Shadow Weaver strikes me very much as a kind of “no regrets” type of person. But she also has a fascination with power, and any time she sees a youngin’ with a lot of potential, (Micah, Adora) she seeks to train them. Considering how poor her record is...she needs to stop doing this. I might be inclined to forgive Shadow Weaver, if she acknowledges her own short-comings, apologizes to the people she’s hurt, and realizes that looking after children is not something she’s cut out to do.
Finally, there’s Catra.
In many ways, she’s my favorite character. (Though I also might go with Glimmer.) The story is largely centered around Catra’s journey alongside Adora’s...she might as well be a secondary protagonist. What’s more, she’s a character who we basically know is going to get redeemed, Noelle has all but told us that it’s going to happen. I’m fine with her getting redeemed but so help me god if she dies in the process....if any aspiring writers are reading this, please stop killing your villains to complete their redemption arcs. Let them enjoy being redeemed. Please. Anyway, where was I? Ah that’s right, Catra. There have been times that I was beyond frustrated with her because she was purposefully choosing to be “evil” as Double Trouble lampshades at the end of Season 4. By the time she opened up the Portal, after sentencing Entrapta to die, nearly dooming the entire world, causing Angela’s death, and despite it all she still blamed Adora even though she only did all of this because she wanted to beat Adora...yeah, I was really running out of patience for Catra. And even now, I can’t really bring myself to agree with the fans as they draw parallels between Catra opening the Portal and Glimmer activating the Heart of Etheria. I’m sure this was intentional, too. The echoing of two characters dooming everyone through an impulsive, reckless choice. However...as I said, Catra was pretty much going off the deep end when she opened the Portal. She just wanted to stick it to Adora. I realize I may be biased as a Glimmer stan, but Glimmer was at least trying to defeat the Horde. Her intentions, however misguided, were noble. She thought she was doing the right thing. Catra just didn’t care.
All this, and you might think I’m Anti-Catra, that I await her inevitable redemption with gritted teeth. But that’s not true at all. Catra is a character who is her own worst enemy, and characters like that have a knack for winning my sympathy. She continues to dig herself into a deeper hole and hurts those around her in the process. Part of her journey is realizing that and presumably working to change it. This is why I love how distant she becomes from Lonnie and the others in S4. Why I love Double Trouble betraying and completely shutting her down with their monologue about her. Why I cheered louder than you can imagine at “You’re a bad friend.” Because it was such an amazing crossroads in the development of both Scorpia and Catra’s characters. To be clear, I love these moments not because I dislike Catra, but because I genuinely like her as a character, and Catra as a “good guy” is a lot of fun. I don’t know how many people remember what it was like in the first episode when Catra and Adora were still besties, but it was just generally fun. I miss that dynamic. I want Catra to learn from her mistakes. Because I rambled on about the terrible things Shadow Weaver has done, and onscreen those were primarily done to Catra. She’s a character that I am rooting for one-hundred percent. A character who is almost a deconstruction of the tired writing trope “They had a hard childhood, and now that you know that, they are redeemed.” Catra turns that on it’s head. “Promise” is one of my favorite episodes for this very reason. Few moments have gotten me as choked up as Adora saying that she thought Catra didn’t care about being Force Captain, and Catra exploding with “Well I was lying, obviously!” It was a reveal that I genuinely didn’t see coming, but it makes so much sense, and demonstrates how much Catra has sacrificed for Adora and how much that weighs on her every time she makes a villainous decision.
TL;DR: I am one-hundred percent on board with Catra and Hordak redemption, and tentatively on board with Shadow Weaver redemption.

Here's one more: Elia Martell or Lyanna Stark?
MAKE ME CHOOSE.
*shakes fist at you and quickly NOPEs out of here* I hate you.
I love both of them, as you very well know, and I really hate Rhaegar’s thoughtlessness, his obsession with the prophecy and his stupid, emo face. ( Really, you were a crown prince and a grown man, get your shit together! ) And I also think that BOTH WOMEN DESERVED BETTER! I will fight anyone who fights me on this.
That being said, I am going with ELIA MARTELL. And the reasons for that are not character-based ( we know very little about both women, sadly ) but rather, NARRATIVE-based. You and I have talked about this in length, but let me put our hours of screaming and incoherent chats in caps into proper words.
The reason why I tend to feel for Elia Martell SLIGHTLY more than Lyanna Stark is because of the different ways the narrative ( and the characters ) treat the two of them after their respective deaths. Elia’s death was HORRIBLE BEYOND WORDS, and Lyanna’s ( dying of childbirth at the age of sixteen ) was not pleasant either. However…
WARNING: Spoilers and quotes ( lots of quotes ) from all of the books, as well as lots of feels and anger. You have been warned.
Lyanna is remembered as a bold, beautiful young woman who was wronged by a man who should have known better ( all of which is TRUE ), died a tragic death and whose memory people honour still. I don’t think anyone has ever said a negative word about Lyanna, ever? Sure, Cersei calls her ‘insipid’ at some point but come on… Cersei. Even TWOIAF, supposedly written by a maester, points out that Rhaegar’s behaviour was wrong, and explains how Lyanna’s brothers and betrothed rushed to defend her honour as soon as the prince gave her the crown of flowers. All in all, I would say that Lyanna Stark has been PUT ON A PEDESTAL, especially by Robert Baratheon but also by the general consensus in Westeros. I would even argue that a portion of the fandom is guilty of this, too.
Lyanna had only been sixteen, a child-woman of surpassing loveliness. Ned had loved her with all his heart. Robert had loved her even more. She was to have been his bride. ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard I )
“She was more beautiful than that. Ah, damn it, Ned, did you have to bury her in a place like this? She deserved more than darkness…" ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard I )
“Having Stark beside him will only make him worse. He’s still in love with the sister, the insipid little dead sixteen-year-old. How long till he decides to put me aside for some new Lyanna?” ( A Game of Thrones - Bran II ) *LOL Cersei.
“Beautiful, and willful, and dead before her time.” ( A Game of Thrones - Arya II )
“You never knew Lyanna as I did, Robert. You saw her beauty, but not the iron underneath.” ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard VII )
“I had no wish to marry after Lyanna was taken from me, but Jon said the realm needed an heir.” ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard VII )
“Good,” he said, smiling. “I will give Lyanna your love, Ned. Take care of my children for me.” ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard XIII )
“"Robert was betrothed to marry her, but Prince Rhaegar carried her off and raped her,“ Bran explained. “Robert fought a war to win her back. He killed Rhaegar on the Trident with his hammer, but Lyanna died and he never got her back at all.” ( A Game of Thrones - Bran VII )
Tyrion looked down upon the farewells from the high deck of King Robert’s Hammer, a great war galley of four hundred oars. Rob’s Hammer, as her oarsmen called her, would form the main strength of Myrcella’s escort. Lionstar, Bold Wind, and Lady Lyanna would sail with her as well. ( A Clash of Kings - Tyrion IX ) *There was literally a ship in the royal navy, named after her.
Where was the beautiful Lady Lyanna that King Robert had named in honour of the maid he’d loved and lost? ( A Clash of Kings - Davos III )
“You ride like a northman, milady. Your aunt was the same, Lady Lyanna.“ ( A Storm of Swords - Arya III )
“Prince Rhaegar loved his Lady Lyanna, and thousands died for it.“ ( A Dance with Dragons - The Kingbreaker )
“The northern girl had a wild beauty, as he recalled, though however bright a torch might burn it could never match the rising sun.” ( A Dance with Dragons - Epilogue )
These are by no means a COMPLETE collection of quotes about Lyanna, but there you have it. She is remembered fondly ( except by Cersei, understandably ), or at least never negatively. She is bold, beautiful, with an ‘iron underneath,’ willful, great rider, lovely, etc… I don’t doubt that all of these things were true, that her end was tragic and she was caught up in something she had very little control over. (*side-eyes at Rhaegar aggressively* ) But my point is, people in the narrative grant her the RIGHTFUL respect she deserves.
Now, what about Elia Martell?
Aside from Oberyn and later Doran, we never get the same level of CONNECTION about her like we do about Lyanna. In fact, she is often described as the following: the woman that her husband overlooked in front of everyone, who had ‘frail health,’ and who watched her children die before she was raped and murdered. Yes, we get a few ( very few! ) positive comments about her as well, but even they are TAINTED with these reminders. Let’s take a look.
Princess Elia of Dorne pleading for mercy as Rhaegar’s heir was ripped from her breast and murdered before her eyes. ( A Game of Thrones - Daenerys I )
Some said it had been Gregor who’d dashed the skull of the infant prince Aegon Targaryen against a wall, and whispered that afterward he had raped the mother, the Dornish princess Elia, before putting her to the sword. ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard VII )
Ned remembered the moment when all the smiles died, when Prince Rhaegar Targaryen urged his horse past his own wife, the Dornish princess Elia Martell, to lay the queen of beauty’s laurel in Lyanna’s lap. ( A Game of Thrones - Eddard XV )
“Is a secret still a secret if everyone knows it?” In Casterly Rock, it was common knowledge that Gregor Clegane had killed Elia and her babe. They said he had raped the princess with her son’s blood and brains still on his hands. ( A Clash of Kings - Tyrion IV )
No doubt he was waiting for Prince Viserys to mature, or perhaps for Rhaegar’s wife to die in childbed. Elia of Dorne was never the healthiest of women. ( A Storm of Swords - Jaime II )
“But that was the tourney when he crowned Lyanna Stark as queen of love and beauty!” said Dany. “Princess Elia was there, his wife, and yet my brother gave the crown to the Stark girl, and later stole her away from her betrothed. How could he do that? Did the Dornish woman treat him so ill?” ( A Storm of Swords - Daenerys IV) *No, Daenerys. Rhaegar treated his Dornish princess ‘so ill.’
“It is not for such as me to say what might have been in your brother’s heart, Your Grace. The Princess Elia was a good and gracious lady, though her health was ever delicate.” ( A Storm of Swords - Daenerys IV )
“Viserys said once that it was my fault, for being born too late.” She had denied it hotly, she remembered, going so far as to tell Viserys that it was his fault for not being born a girl. He beat her cruelly for that insolence. “If I had been born more timely, he said, Rhaegar would have married me instead of Elia, and it would all have come out different. If Rhaegar had been happy in his wife, he would not have needed the Stark girl.” ( A Storm of Swords - Daenerys IV )
“Elia need not have been harmed at all, that was sheer folly. By herself she was nothing.“ ( A Storm of Swords - Tyrion VI )
“Elia of Dorne,” they all heard Ser Gregor say, when they were close enough to kiss. His deep voice boomed within the helm. “I killed her screaming whelp.” He thrust his free hand into Oberyn’s unprotected face, pushing steel fingers into his eyes. “Then I raped her.” Clegane slammed his fist into the Dornishman’s mouth, making splinters of his teeth. “Then I smashed her fucking head in. Like this.” As he drew back his huge fist, the blood on his gauntlet seemed to smoke in the cold dawn air. There was a sickening crunch. ( A Storm of Swords - Tyrion X )
It had to have been the madness that led Aerys to refuse Lord Tywin’s daughter and take his son instead, whilst marrying his own son to a feeble Dornish princess with black eyes and a flat chest. ( A Feast for Crows - Cersei V )
The old knight hesitated. “Princess Elia was a good woman, Your Grace. She was kind and clever, with a gentle heart and a sweet wit. I know the prince was very fond of her.”Fond, thought Dany. The word spoke volumes. ( A Dance with Dragons - Daenerys IV )
A bride for our bright prince. Jon Connington remembered Prince Rhaegar’s wedding all too well. Elia was never worthy of him. She was frail and sickly from the first, and childbirth only left her weaker. After the birth of Princess Rhaenys, her mother had been bedridden for half a year, and Prince Aegon’s birth had almost been the death of her. She would bear no more children, the maesters told Prince Rhaegar afterward. ( A Dance with Dragons - The Griffin Reborn )
His choice would have been a young maiden not long at court, one of Elia’s companions… though compared to Ashara Dayne, the Dornish princess was a kitchen drab. ( A Dance with Dragons - The Kingbreaker )
Poor victim Elia. Who was frail in health. ( Did we mention it like, twenty times? Good. ) Who was raped after watching her children get murdered. Okay so she was sweet and kind but also vERY FRAIL OF HEALTH!!!
Like I said earlier… THIS ISN’T ABOUT ELIA VS. LYANNA. I absolutely loathe it whenever I see these women pitted against each other. Though that seems to happen very rarely, thankfully. This is about HOW THE NARRATIVE TREATS ELIA AND LYANNA DIFFERENTLY. I am very sad about both of their deaths, and firmly believe that both deserved much, much better. But the fact that Elia doesn’t get the respect she deserves even after she died ( except from those who personally knew and loved her ) tugs at my heartstrings.
That’s why I always find myself more drawn to Elia Martell. Trying to compensate for the narrative’s misgivings? Maybe. SHE WAS ELIA OF DORNE. SAY HER NAME.

1-35 on fanfic asks
1. From one to five stars, how would you rate your writing? (No downplaying yourself!)
2 stars maybe? Im not great and i forget a lot of things. but no one can stop me from writing and i enjoy it. the more i do it the more i may like my own writing one day
2. Why do you write fanfiction? Fanfiction is everything to me. It was a matter of time until i started writing it seriously for myself.
3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?
Literally nothing. I tend to go off with ships and specific things i want represented... but thats it. anyone can write.
4. Are there any writers that inspire you?
Always! so many! the best thing about fanfiction is how it builds upon itself and spreads!
5. What’s the fic you’re most proud of?
Im very proud of Secret Baby/ River run. Its large and a mess and i hate it. But im proud ive done it. A completed one im proud of is "Compress said its his turn on the murder screen" i think i did well with that one and kept the tone I wanted.
6. What element of writing do you find comes easily?
Arguments between characters and having them express themselves other ways.
7. What element of writing do you struggle with most?
It's the making up and posting works i struggle with. Along with editing which is another monster.
8. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write?
I do love the murder boys! Dabi, Itachi, Deidara, Naruto (should have killed everyone), Reno. If theyve got issues i love them!
9. Which character(s) do you find most difficult to write?
happy characters. I just don't know what to do with them. Like a domestic setting with no action? nope not for me!
10. What’s your favorite genre to write for?
Hurt/comfort has always been my jam!
11. Who or what do you find yourself writing about most?
im not entirely sure? I havent been really writing/posting that long.
12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.
Expectations! its a collaboration i'm working on with a friend and a DabiHawks fanfiction again! It's a fic where they fall in bed together before they even like each other. A lot of assumptions are made and not a lot of talking gets done until quite a bit of Damage has been done. Hawks finds out that Dabi's been doing some things he wasnt comfy with just because he didnt know how to tell Hawks and because he was attached to him. It's messy and won't get less so.
interesting to write to say the least because im such a Zero tolerance person.
13. First fandom you ever wrote for?
Naruto lol
14. What’s your favorite fandom to write for?
part of my heart will always belong to naruto. can't leave it. But im enjoying writing for bnha immensely!
15. What’s the weirdest fandom you’ve ever written for?
Food Fantasy! a video game i did a short one shot on last october!
16. Any guilty pleasure trope(s)?
Soulmate au's! Omegaverse! I love tropes! Oh! Hanahaki!
17. A trope you’ll never, ever write for.
none.
18. Wildest fic you’ve ever written?
I wouldn't say ive done anything too wild?
19. Do you prefer canon-compliant, AUs, or something in-between?
get canon away from me! i love au's! any and all!
20. Gen fic or shippy stuff?

Sometimes! some fics have specific playlists!
23. Do you prefer prompts and challenges, or completely independent ideas?
All of the above! i dont know how to put wips back lol!
24. One-shots or multi-chaptered works?
I like one shots better but the amount of effort for multichapter fics is something else tbh!
25. Have you ever daydreamed about side adventures/spin-offs from your fic? Tell us about them!
Yes a few times brought on by comments! What if Hawks ran in to Dabi early on or if Dabi had stayed and talked to Hawks the last night they spent together. None of it ever really goes well? Dabi has no support besides his Significant Other in both of these and i dont like that.
26. Is there anything you’ve wanted to write, but you’ve been too scared to try?
Nope! Ive been getting the hang of NSFW and i feel like that's one of my biggest areas to improve on!
27. What’s the nicest comment you’ve ever received?
any! seriously i love comments! telling me to write more or that i forgot something was done 6 chapters ago or a string of emoji's!
28. How well do you handle criticism when it comes to your writing?
Much better than I used to!
29. Have you ever gone outside of your comfort zone for a fic? How did it turn out?
Every time i post lol. Im pretty comfortable with a variety of things! there's been times in this roleplay i participate in that i was very uncomfortable with how my character was acting but that was the entire point and it turned out well considering the outrage he kept causing!
30. Tooth-rotting fluff or merciless angst?
Best of both! ive also taken a shine to writing things that out of story context are fluff but in context are horrendous angst!
31. Do you have any OCs? Tell us about them!
Nope! I don't really do Oc's!
32. Summarize a random fic of yours in 10 words or less.
Secret Baby/ River Run- Dabi gets pregnant and runs away. Hawks is the father.
33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?
I've had such a kind fantastic audience but i wish they would pay some more attention sometimes to why i have characters do things the way they do. Hawks leaves Dabi alone? theres a reason for that and the awnser is not to stalk him. even for Dabi's saftey.
34. Copy and paste an excerpt you’re particularly fond of.
Dabi dosen't meet Rumi like expected. He expected to just get taken out by her in a fight one day, if they met at all. Not him cleaning his torn staples in Hawks bathroom after he's been shoved in there, Rumi having interrupted a blowjob and Hawks had roughly shoved him in his bathroom. He couldn't hear much of the conversation going on outside. But what he could made his face burn with embarrassment as he tried to put himself together. The fact that she was also a Hero and Hawks best friend made him nervous. What a great first impression, sucking her best friends dick with a bloody face. -" NOT DATING-" Hawks voice broke through for a moment and then quieted. -"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF HE'S A VILLAIN KEIGO, HE WAS JUST GIVING YOU A BLOWJOB THERE IS NO ." There was a loud thump as Rumi was yelling and Dabi let himself flinch here in private. She quieted down soon after she had started yelling. Dabi sat down against the sinks cupboard and rested his head on his knees. Waiting for it to stop and Hawks to kick him out. He wouldn't actually get to meet Rumi as Keigo's, well as Keigo's anything. It was just sex between them on Hawks end anyways. There's stomping towards the door and Dabi scrambles up as he resists the urge to lock the door. To lock himself inside like a child thinking it will save him from Enjis rath. Hawks is.... he's not kind to Dabi, but he's not Enji either. The door opens and Rumi's gaze finds him as he's getting up. He ducks his head and gives a little half hearted wave, not sure what she's doing. Why she's looking at him with a gaze much softer than expected. "Hey. Sorry I walked in on you guys. I'm Rumi. Hawks best friend he's been hiding away from you." "I uh. Um. Dabi? I go by Dabi. I think it's more like I'm just his dirty little secret." He gives a small dry chuckle and a smirk, a tad on the mean side like he did with Keigo. It came out a little to real and he winced. He sounded like a whiny asshole, he thought as he kept his gaze on his bare toes digging into the tile. "Dabi, I doubt Keigo thinks of you like that." Rumi reaches her hand out and Dabi tenses in anticipation of her grabbing him. To harm him maybe? To throw him in cuffs? Out of Keigo's apartment but he has no doubt that he will be there soon enough after Rumi leaves. "Its fine. I'm just a villain he can sleep with ya know?" Rumi gets a determined look in her eye as she draws her hand back, having noticed him tense up. "I'm going to give you my number Dabi. Villains don't any resources and I don't like how Hawks treated you when I walked in. If anything happens, I want you to have a way out. I don't think you've told your friends who your sleeping with. Or you would have teleported out of here." Dabi hands his phone over still in shock to Rumi and she gently takes it. She's still super confident in person but, there's no violence or anger from her. Its... suprising.
35. Ramble about any fic-related thing you want!
Dabi and Hawks can both have issues and have to put in some serious effort to not only see those issues, but work together with them. this has been a PSA.
