I don't really mind, if my spouse wants to take my name I'm cool with that, also happy to oblige if they want to take my name, or double-barrel it, or something. Also fine not doing any of that.

Also, a lot depends on the surname of the prospective spouse, which I don't know. For example, I once had a crush on someone with the last name 'Talbot', a name I really like, and - had our relationship ever progressed that far - I would happily have taken their name. Another crush of mine as a teenager had the surname Smith, and this I didn't care for, and would have preferred not to take, had we got to that stage.
