The way the camera in PB follows Tommy everywhere is absolutely ripe for those 70s, 80s, 90s satires of popular TV shows which apparently fell out of vogue in the 2000s: I can't stop picturing the cameraman running into the back of him every time he stops walking.
#maybe even a few scenes where he starts running trying to get away from the lens#or powerwalks over the top of the cameraman#not in the office looking directly at camera way either#in the absurdist mode where he fails to acknowledge this happening to him#i mean i think those satires fell out of vogue because social media was faster#and in the end the satire shows were only repeating crowdsourced humour#they *used* to serve as the vehicle to carry across those jokes#now social media does it without an intermediary#one of the many great losses in tv-craft etc#i do enjoy the absurdia#peaky blinders
