Hi! I dont usually ever send asks but I saw your post about including more DC characters in your AU's and was wondering if you were ever planning on including Kate Kane and/or Renee Montoya as they are two of my favourite characters in all of DC and almost never appear in batfamily fics even though they both work with oracle, nightwing, huntress, and other members a surprising amount in the comics. I like the idea of Kate especially being reluctantly enamoured with Peter, and that she would remind him of Col. Rhodes as I feel they have similar no-nonsense attitudes, dogged determination, and militant mannerisms while being pretty gentle on the inside. You might have answered this before but are Peter and Col. Rhodes close? I would assume they at least know each other pretty well from his friendship with Tony. Also thank you so much for LOF and all your writing - it genuinely brings me so much joy. <3

i 100000% want to write Kate Kane in the future, though i still need to read up on her, Renee, and Helena to make sure i'm writing them correctly. i started LoF worried about juggling too many characters in the plot and also didn't actually know a lot about the batfam outside of what i'd already been reading, considering LoF was supposed to just be me and alighterwood messing around with a silly au, i didn't think to put more than the cast we have. other aus will definitely have them in the future because i feel bad i missed out on them. i briefly considered putting at least Kate in LoF, but i feel like she would have at least been MENTIONED before now, and it would feel like a cheap throw in. she deserves more attention in another au

and i hadn't thought about it, but Kate and Rhodey ARE pretty similar. Since Rhodey is Tony's best friend, he and Peter get along very well! i hadn't mentioned him too much in LoF itself because, well, LoF was supposed to be 15 chapters originally. it was supposed to be wrapped up a while ago but then i got a little too into writing it. and i made a mistake forgetting how present he'd have been in Peter's life. admittedly, this comes back to me having a hard time juggling so many characters. he'll be showing back up in a couple chapters (when we finally get our Avengers POV) and i hope to remedy that mistake

Sanji was extremely confused when he first met Sabo. He’d been friends with Luffy for a long time before finally meeting his older brother, who had been traveling overseas for a few years. So when he finally did meet him, it was like a swift kick to the stomach as he laid eyes on him. Sanji had always fawned over women and, other than Ace, had never had that reaction to another man. And with Ace, it was always ignored.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t ignore it this time because he wanted to spend time with you and you wanted to spend time with Sabo. It had been far too long since you got to spend time with your friend and, though you’d known each other since childhood, years apart had sparked a new emotion in your. And when you ran to him in the airport, throwing your arms around him, he buried his face in your hair and held tight, unwilling to let go.

When he finally did, he pulled back and marveled at you. “Wow, Laura ___, you look amazing. It’s been a long time. You’re taller,” he said, ruffling your hair. But the familiar touch was shadowed by the look of amazement in his eyes, as if he was confused or mesmerized by your face. The intense look caused you to flush, and he stuck by your side all the way through the airport, causing Luffy to pout at his single-minded focus (as if Luffy hadn’t done that exact same thing to other people innumerable times), and all through dinner his eyes remained locked on you.

Not that you were faring any better. He now sported a scar over his eye, which he gave the story behind over several bowls of ramen. Luffy’s friends had met up with them outside the restaurant and Sabo took notice of the attractive blond right away. Not as much as ___ of course but, he could appreciate. When he found himself seated across from the blond– who’s name he learned was Sanji– and ___, he slowly grew to like the other man.

His plans were to settle down in town instead of setting off on a new adventure, wanting to spend time with his family after so long away. He moved in with Luffy and Law for a time, at least until a room opened up with Sanji when Zoro moved in with Okiku. 

That was…an interesting dynamic. Sabo knew of his penchant for fawning over women and he certainly did it more to ___ than anyone else. But the attention paid to Sabo himself was also intense, giving the same vibes as his fawning but quieter, as if he was unsure. It was very fun for Sabo– who knew himself already– to tease him about it, asking him if he liked the view or if he had something on his face as he leaned closer to Sanji’s face.

You spent a lot of time at their place. The “something” between you and Sabo had morphed from longing looks to casual and lingering touches; hand-holding, cuddling on the couch, and dinner dates were common now. Sanji often found the two of you like that and was overcome with a look of longing. Living with Sanji gave rise to more powerful feelings and now when he looked at his roommate, he was filled with the same amused fondness he felt for you.

At first, Sanji felt a lot of jealousy for the man who had your attention. In the days leading up to Sabo’s return, you did nothing but talk about him. “Sabo this, Sabo that, Sabo everything,” and Sanji couldn’t stand it. Couldn’t you see how much he wanted your attention? And then Sabo actually showed up and…well it wasn’t quite like a switch flipped but all those nasty thoughts were muted and, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t dislike the blond.

As for you, you were unaware of Sanji’s true interest in you. You were so used to him fawning over literally any woman in his vicinity that it was near impossible to tell the difference between his infatuation with them and his true feelings for you. So you allowed him to do his usual thing, ignoring the fluttering in your chest whenever he paid attention to you and the disappointment you felt when he would turn around and give that other woman the same.

It’s actually Sabo that brings up a poly relationship. He mentions it casually one night while the three of you are hanging out watching TV. With you curled up on his chest, his fingers wound loosely in your hair, he mentions a couple he got involved with while he was overseas, telling you that it was the easiest thing in the world.

At first, it sounds strange, trying to balance a threeway relationship between you. You hesitantly point out that Sanji doesn’t view you that way, and the cook is quick to put a stop to that. The words are out of his mouth before he can stop to decide whether they’re the right ones or not. “That isn’t true, ___. I’ve loved you for a long time.”

In the silence that followed, you could have heard a pin drop. Hope flared hot in your chest as you stared at Sanji. You couldn’t see it, but Sanji could read the soft amusement in Sabo’s face, reaching out with his hand to lay it on Sanji’s wrist. His fingers tapped a gentle rhythm, soothing Sanji’s flustered frustration as you processed his confession.

“You really mean it, Sanji? You aren’t just saying that because– because I love you too, you know. I have for a long time,” you said, crawling from Sabo’s arms and kneeling next to Sanji on the couch. Sabo squeezed his wrist once and then let go, leaning back to watch the scene before him play out. It wasn’t exactly what he was expecting, but it was better.

“Yes, I mean it. When you told me Sabo was coming home, you seemed to happy and I got jealous. But nothing’s changed. Except now– maybe, Sabo–” At this, Sanji stumbles, looking at the other blond staring at him calmly. The amusement is still there, faintly condescending in a way that everyone who knows him gets used to after a while.

“I’ve noticed, Sanji. You make it pretty obvious, being honest,” Sabo said, saving Sanji from his flustered stuttering. “I feel the same, but we should probably take it slow. Don’t wanna rush too much into it.” He yanked you back into his chest, nuzzling your hair and flashing Sanji a mischievous grin. His fingers wrapped around Sanji’s wrist and tugged, forcing the man to follow lest his arm come out of it’s socket. “Then again, I think we’ve waited long enough.”

general relationship:

Sabo is a brat. He wants his way all the time, and he’s going to get it. He’s very good at it too, and sometimes that leads to problems when he forces or tricks you and Sanji into doing something you don’t really want to do. After a while, you and Sanji grow tired of it and bring it up to him and when it’s laid out to him from your point of view, he understands that he may have pushed you too far. He’s sincere in his apology to you two and, though it isn’t an overnight change, he works on it more. When you say no, the three of you reason it out and decide if it’s fair. 

Sanji never stops his fawning over other women. Sometimes, usually at Sabo’s behest, he comes to find you when you’ve been really down and just dotes on you. No one else with you, no other women, you just lay in bed or on the couch, or go out to dinner or for a stroll. Sometimes he’ll cook you your favorite meals and deliver it to you restaurant style, giving the two of you an intimate meal. He eventually learns that, no matter how beautiful he may find other women, he needs to make you his priority, and to feel more beautiful than all those other women combined. He’s very good at it when he puts his mind to it.

Sabo is pretty laid back about your relationship. He doesn’t have any interest in being with anyone outside of you and Sanji, but he doesn’t mind if the two of you step out. One thing he absolutely demands is open communication. If you or Sanji do find someone, you need to tell your other partners before you just step out. That being said, neither of you are interested, so it’s a moot point.

Sabo tends to…burn things when he cooks. Sanji does not like him being in the kitchen alone. On the other hand, the three of you have fun cooking together. Sanji is obviously good at it and is willing to teach you. It becomes a tradition to spend Friday nights cooking new recipes Sanji has created or happened to find, tweaking them to your liking.

Sabo and Sanji both are very open in their affection. PDA is a pretty big thing, even if it’s just holding hands. Sabo is a little more lax about it than Sanji, though, pulling you into his lap at any opportunity, kissing you passionately in the middle of a crowd, holding you possessively when someone he doesn’t care for is watching with too much interest. Sanji is, oddly enough, more calm and classy. Forehead kisses, hand kisses, keeping you close in a crowd as he leads the way through it, holding open doors for you. Sabo picks up on those habits even if he doesn’t realize it and starts to do them for you as well. When you point it out to him and Sanji, the latter laughs while the other looks puzzled for a moment before he realizes it’s true and chuckles, telling you not to get used to it.

Sanji is the one that does most of the cleaning. Sabo is, unfortunately, a bit of a slob and leaves you and Sanji to pick up the slack. If you ask him to help you, he’s more than willing, but he doesn’t just do it on his own. It’s a bit tiring but he starts working on it when he realizes it’s actually very rude and inconsiderate to the two of you. He may not just pick things up on his own, but once he sees the two of you starting to get moving, he’s quicker to join in and help.

Sanji is a bit hesitant at first to engage with Sabo. He’s just unsure of what to do, still confused about how strongly he feels for the other man. He’s got a lot of repression due to his past. But Sabo is somehow both patient and teasing, not pushing Sanji more than he’s comfortable but also making it known that he’s ready and willing whenever Sanji is. It’s slow going and on your part, you encourage Sanji as much as possible as well.

Sabo is pretty much dominant in this relationship. With Sanji’s insecurity and Sabo’s personality, he takes charge. He’s also very ambitious. He’s fucked you in every room of the house at least once and he intends to do so again. If you’re in the kitchen cooking, he has no qualms about turning the stove off and having a quickie on the counter. He’s also not above stealing into the shower with you– preferably scaring the crap out of you in the process– and taking you from behind until the water runs cold. (Sanji does not appreciate.)

Sanji on the other hand is a total gentleman. Almost always wants to have sex in bed and takes it nice and slow, making sure you’re thoroughly satisfied before seeking his own pleasure. Sometimes he’ll go really extravagant: rose petals on the bed, candles lit, soft romantic music. It ends the same way though, with you over-sensitized and him very smug.

When Sabo and Sanji get together, they feed off of each other. Sanji isn’t very teasing, but Sabo is and when Sanji sees you writhe in Sabo’s arms, he’s instantly hard. There’s something about the way you beg for more that makes him want to both snatch you from Sabo and pleasure you but also ghost his fingers over every inch of your body to hear more of those sweet sounds. That teasing extends to Sanji as well. Sabo very much enjoys tying Sanji up while he takes you, asking Sanji how the view is, if he wants a turn, does he like what Sabo is doing to you.

The first time together for Sanji and Sabo is actually very sweet. Sabo, for all his teasing, really does like Sanji and wants to make it memorable, but he understands Sanji is hesitant. With a lot of cajoling, they get down to it and it’s slow and tender, much different than Sabo’s usual teasing. There’s still a lot of it, but it’s not fast paced. He’s taking his time, asking if Sanji likes what he’s doing, what he likes, if he wants to try this or that. By the end of it, he’s got Sanji wrapped around his finger but the way Sanji begs and pleads has got him just as wrapped.

Seeing your friends so heartbroken made you hate him so much 

After everything all that mattered was working hard to leave Arcadia bay

But my question is many times when it comes to JM and JK people say everything's in their body language, especially Jungkook as he is so easy to read and can't really mask emotions, so what about their body language is special and different , and is their a consistency to it(esp.JK ) that we can come to a conclusion.

Thank you for your concern! I’m doing okay. Thank you for the lovely ask. I hope my other Anons will forgive me for answering yours before theirs but this topic has been on my mind recently so I want to address it while my thoughts are somewhat organized.

What I’ll talk about in this ask is one of the main, if not the main reason I believe that if there’s a person in BTS for whom JK might have feelings, that is Jimin.

To me KM are different in just about everything - body language, variety, consistency and magnitude of moments, skinship, members’ reactions. Since you mention Jungkook in particular, my answer will be focused on him. 

First: how Jungkook looks at Jimin

Jungkook have amazing, expressive, gorgeous eyes (my favorite thing about his appearance). They’re literally the windows to his soul. As an introverted and introspective person, he is not that big on words but he is an avid observer. He watches attentively, sometimes he stares or spaces out and his gaze can be quite intense. At times people are too quick to interpret his tendency to observe as something romantic or “being whipped”, which is not necessarily true, as he watches fondly all of his hyungs and his eyes are naturally very expressive.

The difference with Jimin is that Jungkook’s eyes(and camera, but that’s another story) are drawn to him as if to a magnet. Kook always makes sure to watch closely when it’s Jimin’s time in the spotlight - during speeches, interviews, games, concerts. If JM isn’t in his direct line of sight he will turn his head at 180, angle his whole body towards him or change positions entirely, just so that he has can see him. Whereas other people will be looking at the audience or the camera, Jungkook’s attention will be on Jimin. It will be on him even if Jimin is not the one talking, even when they’re in a room full of people. Instead of looking at the speaker, often JK will still be looking at Jimin and his reactions. His eyes seek and follow Jimin basically wherever or whenever they find themselves.

Then there’s the way Jungkook looks at JM: his eyes travel all over Jimin’s features and body - eyes, nose, lips, eyes again, as if memorizing his face for posterity. The expression that Kook has while gazing at Jimin is also one of a kind. He has the softest, most fond and dazed smile on his face, which I call  “The Jimin smile” because most often than not the reason behind it is JM. Especially when Jimin is smiling or laughing. I don’t think Jungkook knows how to look away from a smiling Jimin, to be honest, or that he even wants to.

In short, Jungkook looks at Jimin in the way everyone wants to be looked at - as if he’s savoring him and  never wants to look away.

Next: Satellite Jeon

This name isn’t a coincidence, the boy has earned it. If Jungkook is across the stage from Jimin, he will go all the way to the other side. If he’s at the other end from JM in the beginning of a Run episode, by the end of it he will be next to him. If Jimin is being slow, Jungkook will wait. He will literally move a member or shoo him away if he has to. If he is far away, he will get close and if he is close, he will move even closer. If he absolutely can’t move, he will at least turn his head or angle his body towards Jimin or follow him with his eyes.

Not that they can’t be away or sit apart but I think Jungkook finds great comfort from Jimin’s presence, especially in front of the cameras. Kookie can be very hyper and extra but mainly in front of his hyungs and in a comfortable setting. During interviews especially he can often be seen letting his hyungs lead the conversation, while he chimes in from time to time and comfortably ‘hides’ in the back the rest of the time, preferably next to or directly behind Jimin. In fact, I think he likes standing behind Jimin so much because he feels emotionally safe this way, while also taking a physically protective stance to Jimin.

It’s not just the way JK prefers to stay close to him that indicates the supportive role Jimin plays. Often during video messages Kook will be at the center with Jimin to his left and he will turn his head to JM when talking - Jimin provides him with positive feedback and reassurance.

Jimin is an emotionally mature person with a great EQ, so it’s no suprise he is a great source of comfort for Kook. This is probably while JK tends to follow him around and enjoys his company so much, together with their many shared interests and hobbies and general compatability, of course. 

3rd: Attentiveness

Kook doesn’t only know Jimin’s preferences and taste (do you know that Jimin likes sour things? do YOU? DO YOU?) but he also pays a lof of attention to him in general. After all how else will he be able to imitate perfectly everything JM does, even his solo choreographies? The boy is attentive as hell. He knew when Jimin needed help with fixing the net or setting up the karaoke in the last Run ep even before JM said a word and was very eager to help him. They definitely are very in tune with each other even with no words exchanged.

Kook knows when Jimin is stressed and exactly how to make him laugh, even if that means making a fool of himself in the process. He acts extra just to see him laugh and best believe he definitely pays attention to Jimin’s reaction. It’s like it’s his life goal to make his “Jiminie hyung” happy at least once a day and have some of his attention, in a positive way of course.

This can definitely be noticed in BTS Run. When KM are in different teams , they will act goofy and more hyper and when they’re paired together, they’re calmer and having a sort of silent communication. We can witness that especially clearly in the Festa Dinner, where we see a tipsy, giggly Jimin and a quiter Jungkook, pouring his hyung drinks and cutting the pizza for him. That leads back to my point that Jimin is an emotional anchor for Kook. JM is the more extroverted of the two and he knows Kookie very well, so both of them are content with him leading the conversation and turning the spotlight to JK at times, making sure he is heard and is receiving the appropriate amount of attention while also ensuring Jungkook is feeling comfortable and not pressured. A true dream team.

4th: Softness

Pretty much everyone and their mother has noticed by now that Jungkook is very gentle with Jimin, especially in comparison to his other hyungs. He may manhandle him from time to time but there’s no trace left of the child Jungkook who once pushed Jimin into a wall. Nowadays, JK is very soft in his physical handling of his “tiny hyung”. 

With another member he would show a more “aggressive” side, some (playful) punches or kicks, throw them in the pool or shove them aside during a game but with Jimin? No, no, no, sir. With JM he’s all gently “pushing him away” (while also caressing his waist and elbow and looking completely smitten), letting him first during games or giving him the pen he was just about to sign with, offering him his water bottle before drinking himself..

Even in SP 2017 when he was “dragging” JM to the pool, he was gentle. He could have pushed him or thrown him in but instead Kook just sort of held his leg and fought him playfully. It was the same when they were in the water when Jimin was on the unicorn. JK had tipped the float forwards and was splashing water at Jimin but he was still keeping the unicorn stable and making sure JM didn’t fall in.

Even the way KM talk to each other is soft -  in hushed, low, gentle, whispery voices, always in their own world. I’ve never heard Jungkook talk to anyone else with the same soft tone except for Jimin. I’ve also never heard him use the same voice as when calling “Jimin-ssi” or laying the aegyo so thick to recreate drama lines. KM don’t even have to touch and the air around them still feels different. Which bring me to my

Next point: Skinship

I’m on the opinion that skin ship is and never will be of the biggest importance to determine what and who is “real” or not. It’s a typical kpop thing, besides BTS in particular are very comfortable physically with each other, so it doesn’t really serve as much of an “evidence” when they hug or hold hands.

Kook in particular have never been an avid instigator of it. He definitely doesn’t mind it, as he is very comfortable with his hyungs but he doesn’t really initiate it that much either. He allows it most of the times with no problem (like Hobi kissing him on the neck or Tae patting his butt/ruffling his hair) and would do it himself when he wants to, especially when the situation calls for it (at the Japanese Musters) but he’s not naturally as touchy as Jimin, Tae or Hobi.

Furthermore, KM was never an excessively skin ship-y couple and the ship has never been strongly based on that. They’ve always been a different type of a couple, known for their “subtle” moments and not blatant skinship, even though they have plenty of awesome moments such as back hugs, neck grabs etc. Although they don’t seem “subtle” at all now and are turning more into the “how can we be any more annoyingly obvious” pair, skinship wasn’t and still isn’t the  most interesting or convincing thing about them  (at least to me).

That being said, I still find some things about their skinship and Kook’s reactions to it intriguing.

I’ve never seen JK as possessive as some people make him out to be but his reactions and behavior during Wings/BS&T era are interesting to me. We saw a lot of back hugs, wrist grabbing and tongue-in-cheek action then, that we don’t observe nowadays. I wouldn’t say he was “possessive” per se but he was sort of making a statement in late 2016/early 2017, which came from a place of some uncertainty, I think.

KM skinship now and then is very different, though. Now it lacks that sense of making a statement. They are still very comfortable with each other, borderline if I say so myself considering how Jungkook let JM finger his butt several time on stage and even smiled through it but now they’re more mindful, it seems. We know they’re inseparable backstage, we know of their antics on shows recording and airports but those things seem to happen when KM know they won’t be recorded. I don’t think they’re exactly hiding because we still see plenty of moments but they also don’t feel the need to be showy, too. As I said, they’re more mindful, careful. 

Which is interesting because if they really were a ploy to hide another couple in the group, surely they would have taken every opportunity to be touchy with each other, wouldn’t they? Doesn’t make much sense but then again that whole theory doesn’t make sense so..

I also find fascinating how Jungkook gets shy or flustered with Jimin. He said himself that he enjoys Jimin’s  shamelessness a lot but he also gets “hot and bothered” by it as well. He loses his words at times when Jimin really gazes at him with that look or when JM sings Serendipity to him or when Kook is looking at Jimin but gets caught and quickly turns his head. It doesn’t have to mean much but to me it’s cute how JK can get flustered by Jimin’s advances, yet he still enjoys them a lot. He doesn’t really act that way with other people. He also doesn’t act teasingly *cough flirts cough* with them as he does with Jimin. It’s a highly entertaining part of their dynamics for me.

I know someone might come at me now, saying how Jungkook has done this or that with someone else, which brings me to my next very big point -

Consistency

Sure, none of the things I mentioned are necessarily exclusive to KM. You can see Jungkook act in similar ways with someone that is not JM but it all comes down to the bigger picture at the end.

The majority of times Jungkook behaves in the ways I mentioned is towards Jimin and even though he may exhibit similar behavior with the other members, it’s not that often, consistent or focused or just one person.

He may gaze fondly at a member, be gentle with them, try to make them laugh or hug them but only with Jimin these things are a constant pattern in his behavior, a given.

This is not how he acts just from time to time; this is basically his whole behavior towards Jimin.

This is how Jungkook is with him almost all of the time (as far as we can tell from the sources he have). Everything I talk about you can clearly see in basically every interaction between them.

Other ships/pairs may have some of these puzzle pieces but *to me*, none of them have the whole picture Jimin and Jungkook have.

Apart from the consistency in behaviour and moments, there’s also the variety and magnitude of them.

Jimn and Jungkook’s interactions are all over the spectrum - from soft touches through playfulness, intense eye contact and teasing to similar interests and opinions and strong support. Their bond is very deep and their connection is multidimensional.

Some of their moments are also one of the biggest from any ship in Bangtan and what’s more, most of them have happened off-camera - the white suits slow dance back hug (whose origins are unknown to this day), off-schedule - the Tokyo trip, completely unprompted - “Let’s go baby”, their vlives and when no-one expected them - GCFt. 

The biggest things have happened off the stage and came from JK and JM themselves.

Jungkook really can’t hide but I also don’t think that he wants to at this point. Afterall, everything I described can be seen in Jungkook’s videos - his bias towards Jimin, his fondness, his love for Jimin’s laugh and smile and even his orbiting around him. An artist’s work is often a mirror for their emotions so it’s really not surprising. At this point we’re not talking about “analysing” JK’s behavior or making guesses, we’re talking facts here. 

What’s there to speculate about when he’s bared it all in his videos?

I don’t know what all of it means, that is for Jungkook (and possibly Jimin) to know but we can all agree this ain’t no ordinary ship we’re sailing on. It’s not even a luxury yacht to me anymore (that’s too weak of a word for it). It’s a whole damn aircraft carrier - strong and armed, seasoned through battles and damn ready to launch a surprise attack, on water and air. It’s a whole beast.

In conclusion:Jungkook loving Jimin is canon

Seven Day Queen

This is absolutely amazing and well-written saguek. It has a great plot, good directing (apart from wash washy the main antagonist, that was a very bad decision, I was Wooked again). A few palace intrigues, but mostly brothers fighting with each other and the main leads struggling, trying to save their love. Because as always, their love is too pure to exist in such toxic atmosphere. Does it remind you of something? Right, mlshr! Even though SoSoo and YeokGyung are completely different, still there are a lot of similarities between them, small details true mslhr trashes can notice.

YeokGyung relationship development is one of the most beautiful things in kdramaland. Since childhood, they have been building a great friendship that helped them became better and stronger and with some time it evolved in love.

They bicker like an old married couple, behave like teenagers and make out (like for sageuk it’s was wooooooow, another level). A very beautiful couple with a lot of angst and absolutely adorable height difference.

The other amazing thing about this drama is chemistry. Yeon Woo Ji and Park Min Young just nailed it, I had no other choice not only to root for them but love them with all my heart. And their acting was absolutely brilliant. They will make you smile, squeal but more like cry… buckets.

warning: in the end, they will make the main psycho villain a poor victim of his own nature, the whole story ends tragically because it’s based on actual historical facts, so if you’re ready to sob over a beautiful love story - watch it

Empress Ki

Oh, this an epic thing, grande and unforgettable.

If you want a female-led dama where the heroine shows men who’s the boss, you should try this one.

Empress Ki is a drama where you become a witness to the main lead’s growth, how she transitioning from an orphan tomboy girl to a powerful empress. She makes mistakes, gains her place under the sun and her life is filled with grief and loss. Seungyang is constantly fighting and tries to bring justice, sometimes she wins, sometimes she fails. With time her heart hardens and you can’t hate her for that or judge, you simply understand. She’s a real survivor and warrior who crawled back from the nothingness to take her place on the throne. And damn, how great is Ha Ji Won’s portrayal, her acting was freaking best.

I cannot not mention romance because I’m a girl and I love some romance lol

First of all, it’s the only time when I had sls because Wang Yu is the best. A real man compared to whiny, infantile Ta Hwan. He was so loving, caring and loyal to Seungyang till his last breath and it means a lot. And it’s hard to call him a second lead since the first part of the drama was wholly dedicated to Seungyang and her relationship with Goryeo king

Of course, it’s my subjective opinion and I’m in the minority because the majority of the fandom love Ta Hwan, a persimmon emperor. Even though I’m not his fan, I will admit that he’s interesting and controversial character who was well played by Ji Chang Wook

warning: it’s hella long but as soon as you get involved in the story you won’t notice how time with this dama passes, also, a lot of unfair things, deaths happen in this drama and it also ends tragically - classic sageuk is when you frown in tears by the end or what to confront the writers lol

Nirvana In Fire

My heart still aches whenever I think about this masterpiece drama. Also, I can talk hours about why this drama is one of the best.

First of all… Everything in this drama is on a high-quality level from acting and writing to decoration and music.

First of all, no romance (well, it’s there but its super subtle and is sub line), however, it provides one of the most epic bromances that helps main leads win. Secondly, it’s a political-palace intrigues-revenge drama, a mix of Game of Thrones and Count of Monte Cristo. But forget about being bored while watching some ministers plotting something against the emperor, it’s not that trivial. You will need some tranquilizers while you watch this drama because it’s  damn roller coaster. They talk, deceive each other but it’s so damn intense, it makes you sit on the edge of your chair.

The main character is a cold, calculating Mei Changsu/Lin Shu who’s about to make all people who wronged him and his family pay. Remeber Wang So’s pain and fate - they’re both on the same level, however, Lin Shu suffered physically more. Mei Changsu’s intellect will always blow your mind because every time you think that he’s going to lose, he wins and does it so damn smart with a lof of grace.

Actually, this drama is full of great characters but I already whore an ass long reply, so if you got interested, figure it out yourself, it’s more interesting

TW An update for you all. Numbers mentioned.

It’s been a strange couple of weeks where my thinking has certainly seen a shift. Perhaps it is because my mind is finally catching up with my body, perhaps it’s the medication or therapy or things to look forward to like holidays and a new home. Maybe all of them combined. 

It’s a relief not to feel the way I did. A month ago getting through the day was tough, now, I am in a state of being both physically and mentally better, only I’m not sure whether I like it or not. My body has clearly changed, the way my jeans hug my thighs, the colour back in my face and the roundness to my body rather than edges. I have more life, strength but also thoughts. They are no longer slowed due to starvation, instead, the memories hit me at every turn and they are painful.  

My BMI is around 16.5/17, although I’m meant to be on maintenance, I’ve still been gaining but it’s taken 4 months to get to this point and if my consultant has her way, I’m only halfway there. Speaking of which my meeting with her was strangely positive. I wrote a letter to my Mum and read it out to her (she was the one who told me to write it afteral). It basically says while I’m in treatment I’m not talking to her, it breaks my heart but it had to be done. 

My consultant was really surprised by it saying how I’m so empathetic and compassionate despite my past. We don’t choose our pasts but we can choose our future. She kept telling me I had a future in writing, I said I was thinking of campaigning for more funding for mental health but she said not to focus on mental health. We’ll see, I’ve not made up my mind yet. The other thing was that she told me I’d still be here come late July since l have a “lof of work to do”. I hope she didn’t mean gaining more as I’m “almost” able to tolerate my current weight but pushing more may get too much (it did last time).

So, the big(ish) news is I may have found a flat, I find out Monday when my Dad views it for me (he’s going to video call me since I can’t see it myself). It’s a 1 bed and the first time I’ve lived all on my own. I can’t wait! I’m also hoping to go to Austria in December with my friends and in the summer we after I (hopefully!) graduate we’re planning to go to New York and I think I’ll go to Canada to visit my family again.

Lots of things to look forward to, I just need to get out of here.

I’ve been managing meals far better and it’s been a good couple of weeks since I’ve needed to be restrained and tubed when it was every other day, so definitely making progress. Admittedly a big part is because the fortisip has more calories and I’m more likely to gain on it! BUT still shows I have more motivation.
