His first Christmas

I wrote it as if 15x20 never happened and the boys just continued hunting and Jack brought Cas back- ehehe

Castiel x reader Warnings: fluff, unwrapping presents (spoiler warning: do i have to put pregnancy as a warning? 😳 😳 ) Words: around 1500

I wrote it as fluffy as I could (and I forgot about the comedy part-).. It’s my first Christmas story ever! I used my family’s traditions because I have no idea how it is in other countries during Christmas, so I wrote stuff that we do as I was the most comfortable with it, I hope you don’t mind  😅 😅 Hope you like it!  ❤️ ❤️

The Winchesters never really celebrated Christmas. Maybe once or twice when they were still kids and they were left in one of the motel rooms when John went on hunts. But it all changed when Y/N came around. She loved to celebrate- well, anything. It made her feel normal, which is what she really liked ever since she got into hunting. She needed something that could distract her from the monsters out there. - So it didn’t surprise the brothers when they came back from a successful hunt to find the bunker full of Christmas lights and decorations.

The one who was surprised was Castiel. He was never around the group of hunters this time of the year before, so when they walked into the bunker, he looked around really confused. Some of the lights were blinding, but since the brothers didn’t complain about it (they knew better after Dean complained the first time and Y/N was ready to cut his head off), he just tilted his head as he did each time he didn’t understand something. He walked down the stairs following Sam and Dean to the library. Y/N was nowhere to be seen. The only thing that let the guys know she was in the bunker was the distant sound of Christmas songs playing. 

“I’ll go check on Y/N,” Cas said, disappearing in the corridor before one of the brothers had time to react. 

Y/N was putting the last plate in the fridge when she heard his steps behind her. She turned around with a huge smile on her face. 

“Cas!” She giggled and hugged him. He smiled and hugged her back.

“Hello Y/N,” Cas mumbled and bent down to give her a small kiss on the lips. 

“What did you do to the bunker?” He asked quietly and tilted his head to the side. Y/N placed her hand on his cheek and couldn’t help herself but smile when she realized this must have been her boyfriend’s first Christmas. 

“I decorated. You came back at the right time, I finished making dinner a few minutes ago.” She turned around and took the plates she prepared on the counter, put them on the table, and then took a big bowl full of potato salad and placed it in the middle. 

“Smells nice in here!” Dean entered the kitchen and made his way over to the counter to look inside the bowls and pots that Y/N filled with Christmas sweets. 

“Don’t take any! Dinner first. Where’s Sammy?” Y/N frowned and slapped Dean’s hand away from one of the bowls. 

“Ouch-” Dean was ready to start tickling her when Sam appeared in the doorway. 

“I’m right here. Ready to eat?” He asked and smiled. Y/N nodded and took four beers out of the fridge before she put them on the table. All four of them sat on their usual spots around the table. Y/N reached over to put some potato salad on her plate before she opened the only pot on the table- the one full of fried schnitzels. She took a small one and then let the boys pick their own. 

“Enjoy your meal!” She smiled at the boys before they all started eating. Dean told her all about the case they were on and she listened and smiled each time he mentioned how Cas was getting better at hunting. Ever since Jack brought him back from the Empty he wanted to help. He begged Dean to teach him how to fight properly since he didn’t have his grace anymore.

“So, what is going on? I know it’s Christmas, I just didn’t know you guys did these things..” Castiel asked as they all sat around the Christmas tree. Y/N was snuggled into his side holding a mug full of hot cocoa and watching Sam read the nametags on the presents.

“Ever since I joined the boys, I kinda forced them to celebrate. Makes me feel normal. Most of the stuff we do is different from the normal Christmas stuff here in America tho. My mom was from Europe, and when she was still alive, we celebrated Christmas the way she celebrated it with her family in Europe.” Y/N explained quietly. 

“This one is for Dean,” Sam said suddenly and pulled out a box from under the tree. Y/N bit her lip as she recognized her wrapping paper on the gift. She tried not to laugh, as did Sam, because they both knew what was in there. Dean looked at them both suspiciously, before slowly taking the gift and placing it on his lap. Sam then handed him another two boxes, one from him and one from Cas. Dean thanked him and started unwrapping the paper. The gift from Cas was first. It was a new cowboy hat, that Y/N helped to pick since Cas had no idea what Dean would like- he wanted to buy him a burger, she had to step in.

“Wow, thanks!” Dean’s eyes lit up and he smiled. Cas looked happy that Dean liked his gift and he turned to look at Y/N. She looked up at him and kissed him with a small smile on her lips before she turned to Dean to see his reaction to the other two presents. Dean took the gift from his brother next, slowly tearing the paper. He grinned when he pulled out a Scooby-Doo underwear - different than the one he already had. Cas frowned a little. 

“Dean, why is the talking dog we met on the underwear?” He tilted his head to the side and Y/N giggled. Sam laughed quietly and looked at Dean.

“No reason, just like the show, that’s all.” Dean put the underwear to the side and unwrapped the last present. He pulled out a white towel and looked at it before he turned to look at Y/N. 

“Really? A cum rag?” He tried so hard not to smile but he couldn’t stop it. Y/n just shrugged and turned her attention to Sam, who handed out the rest of the presents. Sam started unwrapping his next. He got a new watch from Dean, that he switched with the one he was already wearing. Next he unwrapped a big book from Cas. It was full of some facts about some stuff. He looked happy to get it. The gift from Y/N were socks. Sock with her face on them. Everyone started laughing when he pulled them out. 

“Alright, Cas, start with these,” Y/N pointed at the gifts from the boys. She wanted him to open her gift last. Cas took the small box from Dean and unwrapped it to find car keys. He frowned, looking up to his friend. 

“I don’t understand… I already have a car?” He sounded confused. Dean nodded.

“Yeah, you do. But I fixed the one you liked in the garage. I thought it would make you happy.” Dean smiled at his best friend. Cas smiled.

“Thank you, Dean.” He put the keys down and unwrapped the next gift, the one from Sam. He pulled out a transparent box full of rainbow ties. 

“That’s going to look nice with the present I got you!” Y/N exclaimed excitedly. She grinned at Cas and then looked at Sam. 

“I thought you bought him the other thing-” she started talking but stopped right when she noticed Cas slowly unwrapping the present from her. She bit her lip and hugged herself. This could go really well, or really bad. Cas pulled out the folded black piece of clothing before he stood up and unfolded it so he could look properly at what he got. When the black trenchcoat unfolded Castiel smiled and looked at Y/N before putting it on. 

“I love it!” He laughed and turned around so the boys could see him in it as well. Y/N almost stopped breathing when he put his hands in the pockets. She couldn’t see him in the face right now, but she knew he looked confused. He pulled out the small plastic thing she put in there and inspected it. He quickly turned around with a shocked expression on his face. 

“I- What-” He couldn’t say a full sentence. 

“Uhm… Surprise?” Y/N nervously giggled. 

“Seriously tho, are you happy or should I go pack my bags-” She started to ramble but got interrupted by Castiel’s lips on her own. She pulled him closer to her and kissed him back before pulling away and looking into his eyes. She wiped away the tear from his cheek and couldn’t help herself but smile. 

“Not that I would want to interrupt you two, but care to share with the rest of us?” Dean’s voice cut the silence and both Cas and Y/N turned to look at him.

“Dean, Sam… You’re gonna be uncles.” Y/N smiled as Castiel tried to stop more tears from coming. He couldn’t believe the news, he never even imagined he would have a family. Sam and Dean cheered and hugged them both.

They were all happy. As they should be.
