my aunt was so upset when her parents decided to move out of radburn and i was kind of right there with her even if i didnt have any skin in the game (and i adore where they moved to). so many of my formative core memories happened in that little neighbourhood though. it was like growing up in some mid century coming of age novel.

#i made my first snowball there! and it survived in my grandmas freezer for 10 yrs until a black out melted it :((#i remember hanging my wet gloves by the radiator! running through the bridge tunnel and yelling from the other side!#i remember walking jenny the dog through the park and how she'd eat cicada shells off every lamp post we passed!#popsicles on the back step! helping my grandpa tinker with antique clocks and typewriters in the dining room!#watching black and white reruns on the pullout couch in the office when i couldnt sleep #surrounded by watercolors of english springer spaniels and waterfowl........#i can literally still /smell/ that house and recall the sound of my footsteps on the stairs yknow what i mean??
