so sirius lives the life of the average True Gamer, in a dark hole full of anime figurines and merchandise or whatever. he likes adding to that collection and then fucking around with it because bloodsport really never died to him. who cares what ign had to say.

but basically the black hole server is a really cool idea and location that really serves to emphasize what an outside-context issue sirius is. he feels very “other” in this world, in part thanks to where hes made his home.

this is weird to say, with what we know about sirius in general and his personality (which we’ll be getting to soon) but… theres this pervasive sense that he views the Rs as a mix between pawns and, like, his perverse version of “friends”

the use of “our” here is interesting, along with the implication that sirius shares more information with them than he actually needs to

and the fact that sirius has the tendency to start talking to himself in the middle of a conversation…

and the fact that he enforces a friendly relationship between those who dont get along…

theres just a weird sense of sirius “playing” with dynamics, and while its certainly useful to him, its easy to imagine a hint of curiousity in there. the exploration of one of the only things that cant be taken by force.

Steve and Robin are definitely platonic soulmates! If you watch nothing else of the show, you simply MUST see the bathroom floor scene between them, you will cry over them with the rest of us. I can also advise you see the scene where they're tied up in the Russian holding room, lying on the floor confessing things to each other. Breaks my heart. I love them so much. They deserve cuddles. They DID totally get captured by Russians but I think you're missing the important part. They got captured because they were down in that base on ACCIDENT. Dustin got them into this mess, with help from Robin, and Erica. Steve was practically just along for the ride. And then the Russians CAUGHT THEM wandering around the base, and Steve took 1 look at the situation, decided that not all of them were going to make it, SOMEONE had to get caught and it sure as hell wasn't going to be His Children, so he purposely stayed behind. And when he called out to Robin, because he knew he couldn't hold the door the Russians were trying to get through by himself long enough, Robin (who you MUST understand, she is brand new, she's known Steve for like... a month, she's known Dustin for a day or two, she's known Erica for a few hours, she doesn't even KNOW about the Otherworld Shenanigans yet, as far as she knows this is just about commies in the basement) takes one look at Steve, at Dustin and Erica, and she bolts to his side knowing full well she's gonna get captured, too. But they are gonna make sure the kids don't. together.

Hopper is COMPLICATED. He's an asshole, no mincing that. He was a child soldier, or close to it, who was experimented on w/ chemical warfare bullshit that ensured his military-group companions either couldn't have kids or their kids were messed up and died as babies. Hopper fell in love and had a child, a little girl, who died when she was little (five or six-ish?), and it broke him, and him breaking also broke his relationship with his wife. Over the course of the show you get to witness that he desperately, desperately, just wants Family (and by god, who does THAT sound like) and to make sure no kids are ever harmed if he can help it. He was serving as chief of police because he didn't really know what else to do with himself, and then The Horrors happened and he realized oh fuck my mission in life is to protect El (and what that looks like varies, because what he WANTS and what he is CAPABLE of doing are separated by a canyon at times, he is a disaster of a human being but he's trying and they love each other even when they're screaming at each other) and make sure none of these dumbasses get hurt around her. And then he goes and falls in love with the mom that loves her kids more than life. Like, don't get me wrong he's still a dick. He's just also full to the brim with love. And they killed him in season 3, but he's fine now.

Dmitri, my beloved. he was the prison guard that was trying to save Hopper and help him escape the russian prison he'd ended up in due to nonsense.

I went and personally grabbed this screenshot from my own copies of the show, just so I could show you his smile upon realizing that Hopper starting a fight w/ him so they could beat the shit out of each other was actually NOT because he hates Dmitri, but so that he could grab things off the guards that separated them, so they could use those things to fight monsters with together. Oh!!! They are still friends!!!

anyway I want them to have upside down shenanigans instead of russian prison shenanigans. they deserve to fight each other and monsters. I want married couple bickering. I want them to hate each other for a while, but band together to fight off worse threats, but fall back to fighting each other after. I want... one of them to be injured and the other has to take care of them because they don't wanna be alone. "I'm the only one that can kill you, dickhead."

The Bermuda Family

Someone was going to submit their own OCs, surprised only one and for RWBY. Alba, Fluorentz and Tramonto are siblings born under a notorious pirate. When their father died, they vowed to undertake different forms of piracy to stay out of each other's ways. Alba is your modern pirate, the whole smuggling, slavery and the like. Tramonto is your classic pirate, rading ships and taking supplies. And Fluorentz is a digital pirate, so hope you got a VPM. With a unique story and powers, they could be fun to see.

Lightning Bliss

One of the many Brony Analysis out there, Lightning I believe got the most feats and abilities out of the rest of the cast (minus Mary Sue for obvious reasons). Between her Heavy Weaponry, her pet Twink, and Rainbow Power, she got a lot on the table that makes her unique to even canon Ponies. Would be a fun to see.

Erma

What do you get when you take Sadako and turn her into a little girl? You get Erma. A cute story about a kid with a monster mother and a human father. With powers similar to the Ring Girl and unique abilities of her own, Erma brings a lot of unique abilities to Death Battle.

Bob and George

These two are Sprite Comic Royalty. While there was a sprite comic before them, Bob and George really made it into a thing. One being an electric elemental, the other a fire elemental, these two working together would be tough to beat no matter who they’re facing.

And that’s 10. Will these guys ever appear? Who knows?

How I feel about this character:

He’s like. One of my favorites. Among most of the characters, he’s one of the ones that I relate to a lot, with the confident facade and the genuine but clumsy care for others around him, the need to prove himself and the impatience; there’s a lot about him and he’s definitely the version of Rodimus/Hot Rod that made me like the character in the first place. He’s sort of the face of MTMTE/LL for me, his ridiculous everything is just so impossible for me to not love, from the flying fucking ego itself the Rodpod and to his genuine and honest concern for his crew. James Roberts gave him so much depth, so much to work with and analyze and not a day goes by where I confirm that he is one of my all time favorite main cast characters in literally anything.

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

I’m a rabid Rodimus stan so I can pretty much put him together with any bot and feel like it’d be fun. I do have faves, however, like Magnus, the two have a really nice polar opposites dynamic, where they both annoy each other and fulfill each other. I also do like Rodimus and Ratchet together, a sort of more extreme version of Dratchet where Rodimus brings out the old party ambulance in the good doctor at neck breaking speeds, making him feel young and fresh again, and on the same time being able to be a sort of safe anchor for Rodimus. I also adore Megarod because... Do I REALLY have to explain myself because if you ask me to I will make that Rodimus and Megatron character analysis I’ve wanted to do for ages

Some more faves of mine is Springrod, Overrod, Thunderrod and Rollerod, because Rodimus with big bots is just... It seems appropriate.

I do like Driftrod too, but to me it’s more like a friends with benefits thing? I don’t think they’d be together for long romantically, since they’re both sort of insecure speedsters that can’t give each other the anchor they sort of need... Which is why if you put Ratchet into that mix it could totally work. Dratchrod is, by the way, absolutely a fave of mine.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Like I said, Driftrod works more as a friends thing for me. They can bond over things, absolutely, and they’re very obviously close in canon. I sometimes wish there was more in certain scenes with the two of them, because it could have sealed them as lovers for me but... I wont reject a good friendship, ever. Driftrod works for me as a non-romantic ship.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

Honestly? At this point there isn’t really anything. James Roberts covered all my needs on that part. One of the things I wished for the most was that Rodimus expressed his care for his crew openly, and he has done that a whole lot in the latest issues. Maybe that he makes his amends? Feels satisfied and gets to rest and take a vacation forever? I feel like he can have that by now, he’s worked hard. Yeah, I want him to have a hug.
