Alright this had never happened to Conner before. He was startled when suddenly the elevator shook and came to a quick stop. A cold feeling filling him when the lights were the next thing to go out. What the hell?! He clung to the handrail, and then the lights were on again. What was happening? Were they stuck in the stupid elevator? He turned to the other, and let out the breath he had been holding for a moment. “What the hell was that? Are we stuck now?” He asked, even more confused on why the hell the guy was acting as if this was normal. He sits down, though he crossed his arms and stretched his legs out across the ground.

Dan sensed the boy’s panic, and tried to help the other calm down a little. “We’ll probably be stuck for a bit,” he explained. “But these things usually don’t last too long. If it’s just the elevator, I’m guessing half an hour. If it’s a blackout, then maybe an hour, or longer. But I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions.” Since he was closer, he reached for the elevator phone, pressing the call button and waiting a few rings before hanging up. “I’ll... try again in a bit.” Since even he was starting to get a little nervous, he cleared his throat and turned toward the boy in there with him. “I’m Dan.”
