#i luv work-based au atm

HEYY JORDAN HOPE YOU ARE HAVING AN AMAZING DAYY just really out of curiosity but I wanna hear your thoughts on a ranma 1/2 magical girl au (of your choice!) I always have ranma + magical au thoughts but I wanna hear your thoughts aswell teheee!

OOOHHH OMG. I love magical girls so keep ur eyes open for potential art of this……. unrelated but i think its funny ranma is TEEECHNICALLY already a magical girl if u stretch the definition enough to include magically transforming into a girl as being a magical girl

First i wouldn’t want it to be a crossover of any kind, i’d want it to be its own original thing. I think the curse would work the same except when ranma gets splashed w cold water she also turns into a magical girl. Probably very light on actual magic powers and all the fighting would be more physical and martial arts based like in futari wa precure. I also think it’d be funny if ryoga was locked into pig form and had to act as the mascot companion and help guide ranma to defeat the Big Bad (probably still saffron) to get his human form back

I don’t have a lot of other thoughts atm but ID LUV TO HEAR URS

ALRIGHT! I got some asks about it, so here’s the scrapbook AU! 

So far the story goes that the ancestors of the tribes created the strings with the desire and purpose of keeping harmony; in their eyes, with no main pillars for music, everything was discordant and sloppy. When Poppy destroyed the strings, that type of “harmony” was lost, and the desire from the strings kinda transferred to her (considering she was closest when they were destroyed). It didn’t really affect her until a couple days after the world tour, when things started being.. less than great.

Sure, everyone was happy that the tribes joined together again; the harmony they achieved during Just Sing was one for the history books, and lots of friendships started to bloom. But, everyone had to go home eventually; and when they did it was a big slap-in-the-face reminder that oh yea, their homes were destroyed, and it’s gonna take a while to get things built back up. From what we saw in the movie, rock went pretty hard on home damage. Symphonyville was severely burned down, Pop village suffering a similar fate; Techno Reef’s main heart stage was broken in two, and (based on personal hcs) would take many years to grow back. We didn’t even see the destruction of Vibe City and Lonesome Flats, but you can bet it was probably just as bad as the other tribes’ homes.

Because of this, a lot of trolls still kinda blamed rock for what happened, and that’s where the string’s magic comes back into play. It starts messing with Poppy’s head, convincing her there’s still *major* gaps of disharmony between the tribes, and she needs to fix it. So, she thinks up Trollstopia, and begins her work.

As Poppy is making the scrapbook that explains the idea of Trollstopia, some of the magic seeps in, and it isn’t long until she realizes she can change things around her ever so slightly. For example, if there’s some trolls having an argument, Poppy can quickly scrapbook that scene and play with the trolls’ emotions. She can’t make them completely happy, but at least the anger is lessened, and she starts going about her days warping reality a little here and there. 

Now, keep in mind everything is still being rebuilt, so things are pretty chaotic and everyone’s busy. The snack pack is helping out with construction in Pop Village, Cooper is with his family in Vibe City, and Branch is the Pop ambassador, so he’s off at the other tribes (mainly Lonesome Flats with Hickory heheh). Poppy hasn’t really been..talking to many other trolls, at least not like she used to. This is making it much easier for the string’s magic to corrupt her mind, convincing her things need to be changed for “true harmony.” No one’s there to snap her out of it, or really notice she’s been acting weirder to begin with. 

Eventually, Poppy realizes she can do so much more with this scrapbook; it turns out she can actually put other trolls in the story. Literally. She can basically kidnap them and stick them in the book as a little felt version of themselves. Of course she figures this out on accident, and once a troll’s in the book she doesn’t really know how to get them out, but that’s okay cos now she can just write them a happy story and it’ll all be good.

Obviously people start noticing trolls are going missing (especially when she gets to the leaders (Delta is the first troll to go so its even more noticable)). The bounty hunters attempt to track down whoever is kidnapping trolls, with Branch joining Hickory on his search (btw brickory is a thing in this au). Once Essence and Quincy are inevitably captured the funk twins set out to find the culprit as well. 

And that’s it! That’s all I got for now. I’m definitely planning on writing some fics for this, but school’s loading on some work atm (and finals are nearing) so idk how long it’ll take.
