Hi! I just discovered your blog and your art! I'm in love with how airy and loose your wips are, how you play around with lighting. Art is a love letter, and I can tell how much you love the source material by how you illustrate it in your own way :)

Are there any particular artists, art movements, or art styles throughout history that have inspired and influenced you as you have developed your own style? Recent history also totally counts too, like animation or comic book/ graphic novel illustrations

I think my favourite artists are John Singer Sargent, George Rochegrosse & Hans Zatzka!

The type of artists that might not have influenced my works (sadly) but i do admire VERY MUCH are those like the old school final fantasy and castlevania (I'm a big konami & retro game fan) concept artists with tiny line details and soft blendy colour schemes. Like the type of works where the lines are sharp and strong, but the colouring is blended and gradient.

It's really hard for me to do the tiny thin line detail works, so impressionism is what i lean towards. It's like how I see when i take my glasses off. I also get impatient when it comes to details if I'm honest HAHAHHA I can't only blame my eyesight.

What might have influenced me more is my love for makeup & fashion magazines? Whenever I render faces I think in makeup terms LOL

I don't really read many comics anymore, but when I was younger, I loved the w.i t.c.h. comics & manga series like kamikaze kaitou Jeanne (I still think ml copied SO much of that story), mermaid melody and like the really flowery sparkly shojo types or darker josei series. Again about fashion like The One or Helter Skelter.

Animation wise, the last thing I actively watched was Trigun Stampede which I LOVED but usually I watch things with my ears so i can multitask.

I really liked the colour choices they made in stampede but otherwise I prefer games and game art over animation ♡
