MY HONOURABLE MENTIONS IN YOUTH WITH YOU 3

This list consists of trainees who were on my list but were unfortunately eliminated or just me preferring other trainees in the top 9. In no particular order I quickly realised it was in their rank order:

LIANG SEN

Before you come at me for this, let me explain. I love that he’s a triple threat, and I enjoyed his performance especially “jade” as he was the perfect center for that song in my opinion. The reason why I chose other contestants over him in my final list is because I feel like he would shine more if he was a solo artist as supposed to being in a group. This was one of those cases like shangguan xiai last season where I was conflicted whether I want them in the group or not but nonetheless if 10 was the lineup he would be my 10th member.

CHEN YUGENG (CRAYON)

This contestant became one of my faves during group battle. I really liked him in “stand” and “domesticator” which showcased his powerful and charismatic side. I admired his leadership qualities and his love for rap. The way he carries himself on stage makes him 10x handsome and his relationship with his brother danfeng is adorable. Also his “go hard” performance was so fire I was having the time of my life. Wishing the best for him and danfeng.

JIANG JINGZUO

You have no idea how much I love him despite not mentioning him in my blog ever. He is the definition of an idol and he is what were looking for in the lineup but clearly iqiyi had other plans. He is a beautiful performer and a great singer I’m honestly just blown away. I loved every performance he has done but if I were to pick one, its definitely “history”. Can’t wait to see him on stage again.

ZHANG SIYUAN (G.G. ZHANG SIYUAN)

His rap is divine. I love this guy and he still has a soft spot in my heart. He may not be the best dancer, he has the stage presence to make up for it and does an amazing job every time. My favourite performances from him are “unworthy” and “domesticator”. Also, him fanboying over THE9 is such a mood I love him. I already miss him and junhao.

CHEN JUNHAO (DRCCHEN)

Speaking of junhao, he’s also another honorable mention. He is another triple threat I admire on the show and his friendship with siyuan and sen are honestly the best. My favourite performances from him, well honestly, I can’t choose cause I enjoyed every stage he performed but I will pick “tou tou”. You know what would be awesome? If he, siyuan, sen and chase release a song together, I’d listen to that all day.

ZI YU

I thought I wouldn’t like him but I can’t help it. He is too adorable for words watch out chase. I noticed him when he was forced to do “stand” and I felt bad that he had to perform a song he didn’t want. Either way he is now someone who I look forward to on stage and I love his performances, especially “superpower”. I also enjoyed his “close to you” and “monsoon” stage. His pose in that photo ashsjs so cute!!!

CHEN JUNYU (JAYDON)

I love his voice. His vocals are out of this world. I knew he was good at singing but when he did “stop sugar” for the studio group battle challenge thing no idea where i went with that I swore my heart skipped a beat. He was great in “tou tou” but “stop sugar” was made for him. Anyway, his performances were so good especially “close to you” and “forever love” which was not aired screw you iqiyi.

ZHONG JUNYI (ONE)

My underrated favourite. He is another triple threat I like and is quite handsome I need to promote my faves you guys. I knew he’s a great dancer and rapper but when he was center for “stop sugar” I was blown away. My favourite performances were “history”, “stop sugar” and his part in “kick it”. His stage presence is amazing and I need people to know that he exists. Please look out for his future activities.

FANG ZHENG

His vocals. Thats all I’m gonna say. It’s disappointing to see that viewers slept on this guy when he has a dynamite voice. In both performances he did, he showcased his stellar vocals and his dance capabilities. Out of the two performances, I loved “let me stay” which highlighted his vocal ability but “never get low” was good too those light up fans were so cool I want one.

YANG YUEHAN (JOHAN)

I was so mad when he got eliminated. He has such a deep sexy voice hold it together vivs and he’s a decent dancer. I love his performances in “unworthy” and “jade” oh not to mention “heartbreaker”. It’s sad that the only time people knew him was when liang sen delivered the iconic line “don’t touch my johan!” when ailizati wanted him to join his group but I’m excited to see what he does in the future.

Those are my 10 of many honorable mentions. It was so hard to pick just 10 to talk about because if I wanted to talk about all of my faves, this would be a long post like last season. Let me know who your faves are!!

Ive been avoiding making this cause I know it would be hard but after watching this last episode why not anyway here is my ideal you with you top nine if i could rig this show however I wanted at this moment:

-zuo zhuo

-xu jiaqi

-fu ruqiao

-xu xinwen

-xie Keyin

-zhao xiaotang

-an qi

-shangguan xiai

-bunny zhang

Actual contenders that I like too (I actually like most of the top 35 and would want them all in a group oops):

-yu shuxin though she scares me askdjsjsj this chick might be the smartest one on this show

-if yu yan muuuuusssst be canceled by the government for being an asshole 14-year-old this isssssss a good opportunity to rig in one of the vocals in my dream list just saying keep up the vocal rigging tradition iqiyi you have my permission not ideal maybe but you know I have like five up there pick one

-liu yuxin is too good to ignore and should rank that high I just don’t think she’d fit in well with my imaginary top 9 lol sorry girl not that my top nine is coherent anyway

-sharon wang even though I thought she was like fifteen and was like “hmmm that would be really weird to put her in a group with a lot of members that look and act older but she’s actually like 19 skfjsjjaaj I’m sorry to you too I don’t think there were even any minors on this show to begin with

-liu lingzi because she’s cool

-jin zihan though really I’m rooting for her to come in like. Fifteenth and not the top nine idk why she’s great but other contestants interest me more

People who won’t make it but I love:

-Lin fan too good for this world too pure

-tako shoulda been center for mama but that’s a different story

-dai meng cause she’s cool

-jue chen cause she’s weird

-song xinran cause I feel like she’s one of the most skilled snh members on this show but hasn’t really had a chance to show it off yet

-nai wan too good for this world

-ge Xinyi cause she keeps getting edits like she sucks even though she doesn’t it is very strange

-sun rui cause she’s funny

That is all who I have commentary on but I like them all like everyone’s mom dai yanni and how Zeng keni could probably beat me up lol I’m too invested

my honorable mentions on youth with you (part one).

this is my honorable mentions list on youth with you. this list consists of girls who i wanted in the top 9 (or not but i really liked them) but were unfortunately eliminated or another girl took her place. i wish these girls all the best in the future whether they stand on stage or not.

these girls mentioned are either in the top 20 or have been eliminated on episode 20. there will be a part 2 of this list featuring trainees eliminated on episode 16 and 9/10.

so in no particular order:

wang chengxuan. (sharon)

ahh cutie. she’s a great dancer, good singer and recently proved herself she can rap. i liked her performance in “oh boy” despite not being center lmao the shen quadruplets and her “lion” performance was fire. can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in the future.

ge xinyi. (gia)

honey. this chick is questioning my bias list right at this second. i always liked her but she is threatening my bias list when she did “lover” thank you kun for choosing her ily and “no company”. she has definitely built up her confidence since the show started and now she made the stage her bitch. i wish her the best in the future.

shangguan xiai. (frhanm)

oh yes. she is one hell of a performer. the way she sings, dance and expresses herself, she reminds me so much of cheetah. the way she made the stage hers, truly mindblowing. a lot of people say she should fly solo and while she is definitely capable of being a solo artist, if she wants to be in a group then hell yeah she can. with such power like hers, she can do anything.

chen jue.

the “chinese girl” t-shirt girl. i thought she was gonna be those inexperienced trainees, but while her dance skills aren’t the best, her voice is heavenly. she was amazing when she did “flammable and explosive” i love her vocals. she also did great in “ambush on all sides 2” and “lion”. i wish her the best release an album sweetie.

zhang yu.

the first thing i thought when i first saw her was ‘wow her hair!’ but as i watch the show, her voice is perfection. very mellow and chill, very rnb and ballad like which is what i like. she may not be the best dancer but her performance has improved when she did “ambush on all sides 2”. she also might not be the strongest singer, her voice is beautiful and stands out from the rest of the girls.

xu ziyin. (roada)

amazing vocal. when she hits them high notes tho, that’s gave me goosebumps. when she did “never give up” i was shook, she got me shakened up with her adlibs. i loved her in “light orange island” and “ambush on all sides 2” she did amazing. not to mention she’s just so beautiful someone get her a modelling contract.

kong xueer. (snow)

majestic. that’s how i describe her in one word. the way she dances makes her stand out from the rest of the girls and the way she sings is also great. i love her “play” and “non-daily revelry” performances as she totally slayed the center position. i doubt that she wouldn’t be in the lineup but if she somehow falls outside the top 9, should would be successful regardless.

lin fan. (marco)

i was so mad that she finished at rank 21 i swear to ziyi why do my faves always come 21st first yanchen now marco? unbelievable. she might not be the best dancer or the strongest rapper but her stage presence is great and that’s awesome. she’s also a hilarious person which is a bonus and she’s such a sweetheart. she slayed “the minds of billy milligan” and “no need to guess” you can say i love her rebellious side. i know she will do great thing in the future.

xu xinwen.

hands down the best vocalist of the season. her voice is out of this world i was so shocked that she was ranked in the 50s in the first elimination. she then became a dark horse and finished in the 20s. she was absolutely stellar during “sun”, “mama” and “light orange island”. oh and her moment with kun during “lover” was so cute you go girl.

nai wan. (nineone#)

oh yes the nineone, girl can do everything what can’t she do? fake smiles. she was so cool during “no company” she blew me away with her chic style. she was so cool in “melody” and “why am i so good looking?” despite the bright concept. check her music out when you have the time its really good.

i know i mentioned some contestants that were placed in the top 20 but if im going to be honest, most of the girls im rooting for happen to be in the top 20 and it was hard to make my final list. let me know who are/were your faves!

Since the first round of idol producer eliminations are over here are the girls I’m rooting for

Still too many for a top 9 so I’ll put them in different categories lol

Girls that are almost guaranteed to make it but I love: kiki, babymonster, I’m tentatively putting shaking in this category too but I don’t think she’s as secure as the other two

The unique girls where I don’t think all or even two will make it but I’m rooting for all of them: xia yan, jue Chen, meddhi fu (too good for this world, too pure), bunny zhang, yvonne wang

The ones where I think they have a solid chance depending on how the edits go: gia ge, xiaotang, Sharon wang, liu yuxin, yu yan, snow Kong (but I’m rooting for xiaotang over her shhhh), liu lingzi, aria jin, nineone, they don’t seem to want to push diamond but I can dream

These girls won’t make it but I love them: fu yaning, hu xinyin, tako, eliwa, Duan Yixuan, sun rui, ma shujun, juicy zuo, naho, jenny Zeng, sunny Jin, monster sun, xu xinwen

You’d be better off being eliminated and promoting with dc hot take: handong

Not my top 9 but I like them and accept they’re likely going to win: esther, joey

Obligatory seems like a shoo-in but doesn’t make it prediction: shangguan xiai (imo she deserves to win and get the leader edit but this seems pretty clear to me rn)
