A Story: Did I tell you about the time we were shown a skeleton in our biology lab back in grade 11 (5 years ago) ? Even if I did, hear it again: We were supposed to be taught about the various bones in the human body.. so for that purpose, our school had this fake skeleton to show us. On that day,the lab assistant put all the loose parts of the fake skeleton on the table, and our teacher was attempting (badly) to arrange them properly (in her defence, all of the long bones looked very similar to each other, like the radius bone and the femur bone had similar dimensions, even though the femur is supposed to be much larger than radius bone irl and so on..) and realised there was no knee cap bones given. So she asked the assistant, and he immediately poured a bag of multiple plastic round stuff (which in no way looked like an actual kneecap) on the table, and one of the boys in our lab group started looping them with his hand.. the he dropped it below the table, and there was a scrambling to gather all the fake kneecaps... It was so chaotic, Gabriel would be proud

I . Okay like I get this but also I have other thoughts I wanna share with you (not publicly tho I'll probably bring it up later in private - altho do tell me if u'd not like to discuss it)

Ok so this one is a little bit of a story. Basically, I got bored with my og url (soundtrack-on-shuffle) and the first thing I thought of was "imaturtledontchaknow", so I changed my url to that. Later on, I was talking to a new acquaintance and I got told that they thought of me as a yellow turtle because of the combination of the pfp I have now + the imaturtledontchaknow url. And that kinda just blossomed into the thing I have now! There were a few other urls in there iirc, kaira-the-yellow-turtle being one of them.

i love fandom's embrace of trans enjolras as canon. i love how receptive everyone's been to me going on about sex work in les mis & not to say "prostitute", "selling yourself", etc. 🙏🏻

20. When did you first join Tumblr? How long was it between that and finding [fandom]?

i probably first joined in year nine of high school which was 2010 and that was incidentally the year i first saw les mis, and it became a hyperfixation but for some reason i didn't realise there was a fandom beyond me for YEARS.

i didn't join the fandom officially until 2014 when seeing it live in Naarm sealed the nail in the coffin of brain rot. shout out to those stage actors for selling les amis to me better than the 25th anniversary and the movie did. for some reason it wasn't until seeing them act out the moment they play keep the bottle away from R that i went "oh all these guys are specific individual characters with unique dynamics between them, word"

and then i got home that night, learned all of their names, read all their parts in the book, started finding tumblrs with les amis names, found officialjehan and thought oh ur cute, and i learned in my research that night that courfhan was the ship of the time so i changed my url from themightysif 😂 to courfeyraic 🥰

btw officialjehan is @softerhour my fiancé now 😘
