I adore hobie bc going in I fully expected him to just be a fun minor character, drop some one liners and be done w it, and even w his intro I thought oh okay he'll have his introduction and sorta fade into the background, just be a general part of the group, but omg ? The way the hints were all there and he clearly knew all along that this wasn't right. The whole time he had miles' back while maybe the focus was on the awkward bt miles gwen and hobie. And then we learn hobie the whole way was helping miles, warning him, guiding him, and when miles escapes w the v thing he taught him (use ur palms!!) and in all that chaos hobie's just like fuck no w this system I'm out. Then giving gwen the watch he made (and the idea he made it from stealing sh right under Miguel's nose and it later being a key part in helping qwen fight him is so funny to me) he is such an integral part of this movie bc he is the literal embodiment that spiderman means freedom and individuality and means anyone can wear the mask compared to Miguel's system and no diverting from canon and his 'you weren't meant to be spiderman' or whatever he said

I fully thought he'd just be a fun rebellious little side character and man that was my mistake right there bc every step of the way he was warning miles and disagreeing w Miguel's bs and is the whole reason miles got to escape all together. Then just throws the whole society away. Why did I ever think for a second hobie would be the type of guy to just go along w the whole spider system rule following canon-abiding bs. He is so cool.

like sure you guys will have cuddles before and kissed and all sorts but woAH sleeping in the same bed, that's a Big Step according to hinata kageyama baby why would you ask him of all people

will be just as shy as he was when you first starting dating omg just cuddle him a lot when you see him and he'll become more comfortable 

he'd definitely talk about some of his latest volleyball practices and you'd let him because he's your passionate baby and you could listen to him talk for hours

when you both decide to sleep he'll get flustered all over again when you get into your pyjamas (cmon guys,, his t shirt and shorts are pj's in aLL my hcs at this point)

but he keeps shifting around because he can't sleep, until you spoon him and he's like (^///^) but falls asleep in two seconds aaaaa

that being said he'd still have a faint dusting of red on his cheeks when he sees you in your cute pyjamas

he tells you in a tiny voice to leave your toothbrush in his bathroom because he already knows this'll be the first of many sleepovers

you really thought you guys would sleep any time before 2am?? nope expect countless games of smash and mario kart 

when you get tired and put the controller down, he'll carry on playing a bit whilst you get ready to sleep

when you disappear into his bathroom for a while he gets curious as to why the doors open so he sneaks in to find you putting a face mask on

is lowkey horrified like "...you've got something on your face [y/n]"

you will definitely be able to convince him to put one on too because he's weak for you

you'll force him to take a couple of selfies with you and he just remains all :| the whole time until you pout and he'll do a smol :] I don't know to explain it any other way sdsdkjd

once the abominations face masks are off he'll get into bed first whilst you finish putting your clothes away, would seem super unbothered whilst you take your bra off but you knoW he's freaking out because he blushes a bit omg baBY

when you eventually get into bed next to him he sighs contently whilst burrowing his head in the gap between your head and your neck because he's a cat and he loves the warmth you give off

how can someone be such a cocky ass but also the biggest dork ever at the same time??

he's definitely a marvel/dc stan so he'll probably put Into The Spiderverse masterpiece on for the 100th time and you guys would watch a ton of movies before you sleep 

such a doting boyfriend okay he would make sure that you were comfortable the whole time and you'd literally have to sit on his lap to make sure he didn't get up to go get you something again

when you finish your 3rd movie and you're yawning a bit he'll suggest going to bed whilst cooing at your sleepy self

will definitely rest his head on yours whilst you're removing your makeup or moisturising in the bathroom just to be annoying

omg he'd be lying on the bed waiting for you whilst messing with his phone or something and you'd tell him to get under the covers so you could change

he'll try to act all cool and arrogant like "ahhahah why it's not like I won't see it eventually" but the second you lift your top up to take it off he'll have his head under that pillow in a flaSH covering his red face 

once you're done changing you have to sit on his back and apologise because he refuses to turn around and whines about you not giving him any warning 

lots and lots of cuddles before you sleep omg he loves them so much

just intertwined with each other whilst conversing about anything and everything before you both get tired

when you fall asleep first he'll watch you fondly and give you a lil forehead smooch before he sleeps too
