so bc they're on my brain and the amount of people acting like clarisse should be hated on the same level as luke is making me go feral so hcs about one of my favorite girls and her annoying brother percy <3

she and percy's names in each other's phones are "rissy" and "prissy" and they absolutely refuse to tell that to anyone

the only time people find out about the nicknames is post-blood of olympus when the head counselors meet with the camp jupiter senate and they go off in private and percy just grins at clarisse and says "hey rissy" and it's one of the only times anyone ever sees her truly cry and they have a teary reunion where they're definitely hugging each other way too tight

clarisse definitely gets closer with sally and paul when percy disappears. she visits more, and even spends the weekends there if she's having a bad time. she also bonds more with annabeth during that time too

post-chariot quest percy and clarisse check in on each other a little more. for them, it's in the form of sparring, so people think they're back to their rivalry, but they're really just having the time of their lives, laughing and grinning at each other

they have a heart-to-heart in the time between battle of the labyrinth and last olympian, where clarisse genuinely apologizes to percy, and they have a talk about everything percy's ever overheard, everything that happened with chris, with ares, with gabe, end it's very very healing for both of them

honestly that's the point where they start to see each other as siblings. percy brings clarisse back to the apartment, and sally and paul immediately just fall in love with her and are ready to adopt her then and there

clarisse and grover are the next ones that sally and paul reveal the pregnancy to, and clarisse tries so hard not to freak out until sally talks about how happy she is that estelle will have two wonderful big sisters to look up to.

GOD when percy first disappears, and clarisse wakes up to the sound of annabeth screaming for her boyfriend. it's the first time since silena's death that she's felt utter and horrifying fear in her heart

clarisse is one of the main campers to go out looking for percy, to the point where she's barely at camp

they send each other the stupidest photos, like i mean the absolute ugliest photos in the entire world, and each of them has a separate folder in their camera roll for it

there's a point during heroes of olympus where clarisse starts calling sally and paul mom and dad, and when percy comes back and it happens in front of him he just gets the biggest, stupidest smile on his face before clarisse punches his arm and shoves him off his chair

clarisse and percy have weekly dinners at sally and paul's <3333 where it's just the four of them + estelle once she's born

percy, texting clarisse after living in nr for a while: "hey i'm visiting mom for the weekend do you want to get lunch"

clarisse: "i hope your bus crashes and you die in a fireball"

also clarisse: "noon @ mcdonalds tomorrow if you're late i'll have a panic attack"

annabeth and chris see their text conversations and half of it is the two of them threatening to kill the other and use every piece of blackmail they have on each other and the other half is the deepest, most emotional conversations they've ever seen

literally no one understands their friendship, the rest of the seven asks annabeth about it one evening after seeing clarisse clothesline percy and steal his food before he sits down beside her and they engage in a quiet, obviously personal coversation that ends in a tight hug and annabeth just shrugs

tbh its kinda disappointing that aup focused so much on the power struggle between marias and casey to conclude their sibling arc when their conflict was much more subtle/psychological and had little to do with whether they could beat each other into submission.

marias didnt corner casey and scare her into agreeing to an engagement/arranged marriage just by force, as it would have ruined the reputation of both of them. instead, she seems to have given casey extremely generous terms when it comes to choosing her own love interest, but thats only because she lowkey already knew its not gonna happen, fully aware that casey had zero interests in love or romance.

the deal between them was rigged against casey from the start, and it was even done under the guise of giving casey a fair chance to fight for her own happiness. casey, being herself — living only in the present, gave it a lick and a promise without any second thought, not knowing that even her reaction was also a part of marias's grand scheme to put casey under her control.

marias was absolutely certain of her win against her beloved sister, which was why she didnt even bother to check up on how casey was actually doing before sending the letter to call her home, but miraculously for casey, ludger agreed to help and everyone in the entire continent for some reasons seemed to be convinced there was something that ambiguously could be romance between them.

marias is the extraordinarily cunning politician archetype of character — one that is on a par with eileen von exilion in terms of foxiness and cannot simply be defeated through brute force or sheer strength, while casey is... casey, ever straightforward in her problem solving approach. casey might have won in terms of raw power but it would still mean nothing if she couldnt outwit marias. the fight between the selmore sisters didnt end with the holy war; it barely just started.

I was obssesing over fics on ao3 and I found out that there's not a lot of fics about Dino Cavallone and Sawada Tsunayoshi's friendship.

sometimes i see posts of steve and max where they call steve "the brother max deserves" and it always irks me a little because billy was the brother max deserved, they just killed him before he could properly show it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

she had a brother, they (the writers) just didnt use him very well. clearly by s3, billy and max were on good enough terms for her to mourn him all the way into s4. her grief and survivor's guilt and the trauma not just from his death but from living in an abusive home and being part of that abusive cycle are the reasons she gets targeted by vecna, and there's an entire episode titled after the letter she writes to him and reads to his gravestone. the last words he ever says are an apology to her.

calling steve the brother she deserves like billy isnt an integral part of her character, like billy isnt worth considering or looking at or like he doesnt exist, like he's somehow a villain that was cast upon max, a punishment she didnt deserve... that aint it. it takes away from their character backgrounds and the nuances held within them imo.

i love steve but the brother max deserves is a living billy, shuttling her around in his camaro and calling her "shitbird" and being like a real brother and sister, the way she wishes for in her letter. i have no doubt that had billy survived starcourt, they would have gotten there. they just chose to let him die instead. :/

can we talk about how in feeding habits the only reason lonan reunites with harrison is because reeve calls him & tells him she’s in NYC & needs to talk to him about something important but instead of giving him her address she gives him harrison’s without telling him because she’s like ‘that man is pathetic and needs you’

thought about the ocs for too long again im going insane. i think ro would have loved vee & gregory. he would have been delighted to have two more younger siblings. his & ace's deaths destroy me bc I know that if ace had a choice he would swap places with to in an instant. he absolutely thinks that ro would be a better big brother to vee & greggy than he is. im heartbroken.

anyways im just thinking abt an au where ro and ace both get revived. i think ace would be a lot less bitter & angry & self-destructive if he had someone else. cries. sobbing on the floor thinking about how dc au canon 19 year old ace is heartbroken and bitter and angry and ready to die if it means he get his revenge but if ro was there he would actually have hope and more of a reason to live for the four years between his death/revival and when he meets greggy and vee.....

also in my dc au canon once ace kills the rogue who killed him, ro, and their mom, he takes a break & retires from the whole crime syndicate thing (for a bit. he still does it sort of its a long story) and starts going by the name phoenix. which is inspired by ro bc he always identified with phoenixes... like when he lost his hearing & chose not to be rayleens successor & chose to be a teacher instead, he viewed it as a rebirth/change of path... so i think ace would use that name once he started to actually help people as a vigilante. he would have used it when he first got revived but he a) couldnt bring himself to use that name bc it was ro's thing! and it would have made it real that ro was gone. and b) using that name to hurt people, even in what ace viewed as justified revenge, would have tarnished the meaning & been a dishonor to ro.

also i just think that it would be really funny if when ace first meets duke as the signal, duke just squints at something over ace's shoulder and goes "you have two ghosts. did you know that? This middle-aged black woman with locs and a twenty-something wasian guy with black hair." and ace just goes "oh" and has a slight breakdown over his mom & brother still watching over him

i love the ambiguity of referring to character relationships as “namename”. are they in love? are they best friends? are they sworn enemies tied together by a red string of fate? are they coworkers? who knows, but one thing’s for certain: they are bound together so closely that the spaces between them blur and they become one entity. they operate as a system now. watch out.

I’m sure I’ve shown these 2 before, Winter [right] and Natsuki [left]. I forgot if I ever went into detail about them though, so here we go-

Natsuki is the clone of Winter by a science experiment

Winter and Natsuki have that Hanako and Tsukasa vibe if ya know what I mean

Winter hates the scienctist who was behind the whole thing, hence snapping and causing destruction before running away, Natsuki was still at the lab- at least what was left of it with the only survivor being the Dr. because Winter couldn’t bring herself to kill him for whatever reason

Natsuki loves the scientist but he treats the two completely differently; when Winter was there, he forced her into doing what he wanted, manipulated her, gaslighted her, etc, with Natsuki, he treats her as if she’s his kid, now if he truly does care for her is another question

It took Winter time to realize that the hatred she has towards Natsuki is really unresolved hatred towards the Dr. and her unforviness towards herself for leaving her there with the Dr.

They both need lots of energy to work their best performance, and since Natsuki is a clone of Winter, she has almost the exact same quirks as her, one of them being a soul eater as a means to get energy within a shorter time frame, however Natsuki does it monthly, Winter tends to starve herself of spiritual energy because she doesn’t want to be overly powerful and overwhelm her body

Winter uses a pill that the Dr. used to make for her to keep her quirks in check, once they began running out, she found secretive ways to get more without having to depend on the Dr., without the pill, all of her quirks strain her body, eventually killing her body off

Natsuki doesn’t use pills anymore, cause after the Dr. gave her a Nomu as a companion fused in her body, it keeps her quirks in check. Winter and Bloom could only dream

Winter doesn’t know what Bloom is, so she calls her an energy ghoul because she absorbs energy and uses it, but doesn’t have a vessel, she’s not a lost soul it seems because compared to them, she has special abilities like kitsunes and such, but she doesn’t fit any of the supernatural, hence energy ghoul, winter would also call her energy host, because of the relationship they have. Winter allows Bloom to use her energy and Bloom protects her from harm to live within her

SIDE NOTE: if Bloom wished, she could take all of your physical as well as spiritual energy for herself resulting in a death, she won’t do that tho unless otherwise

Winter’s original quirks were: elements, weather, and spirit eye (or 3rd eye; which allows interaction between the physical realm and the spiritual realm where you can see souls, devils, and such), because of this, Natsuki’s start up quirks were that, but more because when she made, Winter acquired more and more quirks, there’s some that they have that the other may not have

When Winter was cloned and Natsuki was made, they used to have a connection, one of the reasons being that a piece of Winter’s soul was taken and put in Natsuki, however over time since they’ve separated, they no longer have a connection because of how they were brought up, their environment and such, so even if Winter were to try and take her soul back, it would be for nothing

When Winter and Natsuki regain their connection, it will be evident in their interactions, appearances, behaviors, etc, such as: Natsuki doing things to help rather than cause trouble, and Winter acts more smiley, one thing they have in common is their affection: when they love someone, they’ll hug, keep close, kinda act like domesticated animals, tamed enough to be allowed to go places but can and will take out whoever their loved ones want them to get rid of with little to no remorse

Winter believes that Dr. is using Natsuki solely to get his plan to succeed, Natsuki accepts that and will wholeheartedly allow it, but knowing that Winter doesn’t want that to be her fate twists her emotions in a way where now if the time came for her life to laid down for his plan to go through, she doesn’t know if she’d follow through with it anymore

If they were a deadly sin, they’d would be greed, according to researches, gluttony is eating an excessive amount for no reason. It may seem like they eat much especially with how their bodies look, but it is vital for them because holding many quirks, whilst living like other humans takes up a lot of energy making them constantly hungry. Imagine the hungry caterpillar, but when they evolve they’re one of the most powerful people to fight against, with their primary weakness being their mind, Winter’s cousin, Kuzuko knows this
