FINAL SCENE SCRIPT ANALYSIS

first off, quick apology to the lumaxes. we bashed yall all week, and then we (bylers) got fucking clowned <333

also the winners this week: joppers!!! truly thought this was gonna be a dub for the bylers, but yall joppers are so unproblematic u rlly deserve it

OK LETS GET INTO IT WITH WHAT LITTLE I HAVE TO WORK WITH

^no analysis for this tbh, its just cute asf, i love the joyce-el familial relationship, AND THE CUTE JOPPER HINTS AWWW

^OUR FAMILY😭😭😭 if it wasn't certain before, it is clear now: jopper is endgame, not just this season, but for the duration of the show + the stranger things universe

^this was when i first realized that we arent gonna get anything byler out of this script. byler was relying on subtext and directorial notes being explained in the script. this scene looks normal and sweet on paper, but this moment was played as kind of awkward on screen . this was the first sign that we arent getting the notes and stage direction we wanted.

^we have now begun forshadowing main character will!!! its about time tbh

^not rlly an analysis but i always wondered what the writers call them, and what yall call them. spores, that makes sense

^congrats joppers😭😭😭 yall deserve this yall are so unproblematic- note that this is the only pairing given explicit stage directions, they are also the only pairing that has been established as a pairing

^of course im gonna mention the order of the names cuz thats all the bylers got this week🤡

^but united is italicized, so like thats cool? note that their is no written direction for the characters to be split into pairs? does that mean that we should interpret united as one force, but not necessarily as individual pairs?

overall this gave us literally nothing for analysis! which is weird due to the fact that this is a subtext heavy scene, with little to none of this subtext actually being on paper. im curious as to why this is- was it intentionally left out? or was all of the subtext, stage directions, and notes a last minute decision made by the writers and directors, which us why it took them a full day to film?
