Dan Patrick on merit
Tumblr media
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says Christianity is needed more than ever in Texas politics
The leader of the Texas Senate discusses his political ministry on a Christian talk show.
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Gov. Dan Patrick wants to be a minister after his political career is done.
“I want to be the first elected official who becomes a pastor, as opposed to the first pastor who becomes an elected official,” Patrick said last week on Praise, a Christian talk show on the Trinity Broadcast Network.
You could argue that Patrick already serves as a pastor, with his flock being the Texas Senate.
That’s where he’s pushed through numerous bills influenced, he says, by his Christian faith.
Politics has long been a bastion for religious expression and activism, but Patrick sees room — and the need — for more.
While the debate over how religion and government should mix has raged since America’s founding, Patrick sees Christianity as an essential guide for Texas lawmakers and their approach to governing — even as polls show a steady decline in the rate of churchgoing in America.
“We as Christians shouldn’t be afraid to talk about political things,” Patrick said last Monday on Praise, where he was joined by television personality Phil McGraw and show host Matt Crouch. “People in politics shouldn’t be afraid to talk about their faith.”
On the show, Patrick pointed to legislation aimed at transgender Texans as central to his political ministry.
During last year’s legislative session, he spearheaded legislation that banned puberty blockers and hormone therapy for transgender adolescents seeking gender-affirming care.
Lawmakers also restricted the college sports teams that trans athletes could join.
Another bill outlawed some drag shows by banning sexually explicit performances in front of kids.
“We have to stand up and push back, because there’s a real group pushing God out and trying to undermine our family,” he said on the show.
Tumblr media
State Rep. James Talarico welcomes more religion in politics, but the Austin Democrat believes Patrick has a misguided view of Christian principles in the legislative arena.
“It would be great to have more Christians in public office who actually practice Christian values, like healing the sick and liberating the poor and caring for God’s creation,” Talarico said. “Those are not things that Ive seen in Lt. Gov. Patrick.”
Talarico, a former middle school teacher, is seeking a master’s of divinity degree at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Tumblr media
He said Patrick’s crusade for legislation aimed at transgender Texans doesn’t fit into Christ’s two greatest commandments:
“Love God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind,” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
“There were no exceptions to that second commandment,” Talarico said. “He didn’t say love all your neighbors except the gay ones, or the trans ones, or the poor ones. There were no exceptions. It was love your neighbor, regardless of race, class, gender or culture.”
Talarico added: “I think it’s ironic for Dan Patrick to be on a, quote unquote, Christian program and be picking on trans kids.”
Patrick has said he’s not picking on transgender Texans but protecting children and society.
He said unsuccessful legislation in 2017 that would have required transgender residents to use bathrooms corresponding to the gender assigned at their birth was intended to protect people against criminals and perverts.
He said the ban on gender-affirming care was designed to protect kids “who would never have thought about going down that path.”
First Baptist Church of Dallas Pastor Richard Jeffress (left) and Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (right) are two of many voices who have connected tragedies to the judgment of God because of policies they see as unchristian.
Opponents say transgender and other LGBTQ residents are struggling, and that laws aimed at them don’t help.
A 2022 survey by the Trevor Project, an LGBTQ suicide prevention group, revealed LGBTQ youths in Texas experienced suicidal thoughts at higher rates than do their peers in large states and had a tougher time accessing mental health care.
About 2 in 3 Texans surveyed by the Trevor Project said they needed mental health care but couldn’t access it.
Nearly half, 47%, said they had contemplated suicide, and 16% said they had tried it.
Some LGBTQ advocates said political rhetoric against LGBTQ residents contributed to the thoughts of suicide.
In 2017, then-Republican House Speaker Joe Straus recounted to The Dallas Morning News editorial board his opposition to Patrick’s push for a bathroom bill.
“You can tell the lieutenant governor that I’m not gonna have the suicide of a single Texan on my conscience,” he said.
At the time, Patrick described Straus as “one man, standing alone.”
On Praise, Patrick said he was on the right side of the bathroom bill.
And he defended supporters of transgender legislation against critics who say such laws are unnecessary and harsh.
“We do want to be inclusive, and we want to give everyone in America an opportunity,” Patrick said. “We don’t want kids bullied and we love everyone as Christians, but there is a moment when … you have to say, ‘Wait a minute. I have a purpose that I’m standing for, and this isn’t right.’”
Patrick said some of his critics are pushing an anti-Christian agenda.
“I believe there’s a strong movement in this country that wants to remove God from society,” Patrick said. “They want to break up the nuclear family. I think that’s part of the transgender issue.”
He leaned on his religious beliefs to finish his point.
“We were born in the image of God,” he said. “And when you’re saying you have a right to change God’s image, that’s a very powerful statement.”
Talarico insisted Patrick was intolerant on transgender issues.
“My concern is the politicians who claim to be Christian but actually don’t practice Christian values when they’re in office,” Talarico said.
Transgender policy is not the only issue Patrick says could use a Christian approach.
On Praise, Patrick said “God’s principles” include law and order, border security, smaller government, school choice and other agenda items popular with Republicans in the Legislature.
Texas also has some of the most aggressive abortion restrictions in the country.
Patrick said lawmakers are planning to require the teaching of Bible stories in schools and examining the Roman empire through a Christian lens.
“We are working on a curriculum right now in Texas to get us back to teaching, not necessarily the Bible per se, but the stories from the Bible,” Patrick said. “The story of Esther can have a very powerful influence.”
youtube
According to the Bible, Esther was a Hebrew woman who married the Persian King Ahasuerus and foiled a plot by the king’s grand vizier to have all of Persia’s Jews killed.
Tumblr media
The Book of Esther is one of two books in the Bible named for women.
The Book of Ruth is the other.
During their conversation, Patrick and McGraw lamented that fewer Americans were attending church.
A March Gallup poll found that over half of Americans rarely attend church.
Among religious American groups, followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (67%) are most likely to attend weekly or almost weekly church service.
Protestants were second (44%), followed by Muslims (38%) and Catholics (33%).
“Church membership has dropped below 50% for the first time in our country’s history,” McGraw said. “What are they doing? Everybody wants to belong somewhere. … It’s not good for the family.”
Christians could turn the trend around, Patrick said.
“People of faith aren’t stepping up, because if they did, we could get back to the basics in our schools and our life and our businesses,” he said.
American pastors needed to “get the vote out” and “partake in democracy,” Patrick said.
But many ministers are involved in politics.
Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of Dallas’ First Baptist Church, was an adviser to former President Donald Trump.
Historically, Black churches were an essential voice in the civil rights movement, with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a minister, leading the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
In 2020, Rev. Raphael Warnock, a Georgia Democrat who is pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King was once co-pastor, was elected to the U.S. Senate.
Still, Patrick said more leadership is needed, particularly from those who share his values of faith, family and conservatism.
Patrick often quotes 2 Chronicles 7:14:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
“As a baby Christian, or maybe even before I was a committed believer, I used to think that ‘if my people’ were Americans,” Patrick said. “What I’m learning now it’s not. It’s the Christians. That’s his people.
“If we don’t step into the fight, and do it smartly … we can lose this country,” he said.
Statue of Billy Graham to be unveiled at Capitol
WASHINGTON — A bronze statue of the Rev. Billy Graham — the internationally known evangelist who died in 2018 at age 99 — will be unveiled Thursday as part of the Capitol’s National Statuary Hall Collection.
Tumblr media
This makes Graham one of the few private citizens to hold three of the highest honors from Congress: a Congressional Gold Medal, to have laid in honor at the Capitol and to have a statue commissioned for the Statuary Hall collection.
“This is a great honor and my father would be humbled and grateful,” Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, said in a news release. “At the same time, he would not want the attention on himself but on God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Associated Press

Church Boy - Chapter 6
Dan smiled triumphantly as they walked to the ice cream shop. He and Phil were bickering like an old, married couple, and they’d literally only known each other for three days. It was wild; really, wild was probably the best word to describe the last three days of Dan’s life. Pure wildness.
Description: Phil’s lived in the same town and gone to the same church his entire life. But when his pastor leaves, a new one comes in, with his teenage son Dan in tow. He’s broken; real broken. And he thinks Phil’s just another church boy that’s going to hate him just as much as everyone else he’s ever met, but maybe he’s just going to be the one that can fix all his broken parts.
Genre: AU, High School, Strangers to Lovers
Chapter Warnings: Swearing
Fic Warnings (Not Final!): Heavy Speak of Religion, Heavy Homophobia, Swearing, Discussion of Sex, Fighting with Family
Chapter Word Count: 1.4k Total Word Count: 11.7k
Read it on Ao3! Read it on Wattpad! Fic Masterlist
Dan was sweating profusely as he walked alongside Phil to his car. It wasn’t a very hot day; he was just a ferocious mix of excited and nervous about going to town with Phil. He was entering a whole new world, and Phil had been there his whole life. It was a bit intimidating, to say the least, but he was thrilled to spend some time with Phil outside of school.
“Where are we going first?” Dan asked as they got in the car, excitement evident in his voice.
“I was thinking the cafe. All the kids who walked from school will be there in ten minutes, so we gotta go early. Then we can head to the other side of town, where pretty much everything else is.”
“Hell yeah.” Dan watched in awe as they left the school and turned in the opposite direction of both their houses. He suddenly realized he’d never even been down this road before, and it was a main road. He had so much more of the town to see that he was sure he couldn’t even begin to see it all in one afternoon. He had no clue such a small town would have so much to offer; it was like an undiscovered gem.
Dan was taken aback as he entered the cafe; the entire room was decorated with modern aesthetic, and there were a few pastries in a case at the counter. There was a spiral staircase in the corner leading up to a loft that Dan already knew he wanted to sit in; this would obviously be a place he’d spend a lot of afternoons. “This is awesome.”
“Hell yeah it is.” Phil walked up to the counter and fired off an order as if he knew the place like the back of his hand. Hell, he probably did. Dan’s eyes widened as he tried to take in the menu to make an order himself. “Double shot espresso, please.”
“Espresshoe,” Phil said.
“Shut the fuck up!” Dan snorted, bursting out laughing. They waited a moment for their coffees, then Dan lead the way up the stairs. “I love this way too much.”
“I knew you would! It’s so you.”
“What do you mean, it’s so me? You’ve known me for like three days.”
Phil smiled at him. “I just know.” After a moment’s worth of awkward silence, Phil piped back up. “Should we start on our project?”
“Oh, yeah, the real reason we’re here,” Dan said with a laugh. They sat and worked on their project for a while as they sipped on their coffee. After about an hour of work and another round of coffee, they finally finished.
“See, that wasn’t too hard, was it?” asked Phil.
“Says the one who hasn’t had three shots of espresso in the last hour.”
Phil gritted his teeth. “We’ll see how that one goes.” He wasn’t wrong about that one. Dan didn’t feel too hot after all that coffee; he just felt so overexcited that he could run in circles, and he hated running. He would have to run himself to sleep or else he’d never sleep again.
Dan was literally shaking on the car ride over to the other side of town, and he fully regretted the coffee preventing him from fully taking in his surroundings. Dan was thankful for the short ride to end so he could get out of the car and start moving his feet. “Come on Phil, keep up!” he shouted from halfway across the one parking lot in the entire town.
“Maybe you should slow down!” Phil shouted back, body only halfway out of the car.
Dan ran back and started lapping Phil, physically running around him in circles. At least something was compensating for his complete lack of sleep the previous night. “Come on, Phil! You gotta pick up the pace, or else I’m gonna leave you behind!”
Phil laughed, showing his bright, white teeth. Dan smiled, unable to help but notice how adorable his laugh was. “You don’t know where you’re going without me, you spork!”
“Oh yeah, that’s true...” Dan said, slowing to a walk beside Phil. “In that case, where to first?”
“I was going to take you to get ice cream, but something tells me giving you sugar is a terrible idea.”
“Ice cream? Can we go, pleeeeeeeaseeeee?” Dan found himself pressed up against Phil without realizing it, puppy dog face on point. He suddenly realized what he was doing and jumped back.
Phil sighed, rolling his eyes and grinning at him. “Fine, but it’s your fault if you feel bad later.”
“Works for me.” Dan smiled triumphantly as they walked to the ice cream shop. He and Phil were bickering like an old, married couple, and they’d literally only known each other for three days. It was wild; really, wild was probably the best word to describe the last three days of Dan’s life. Pure wildness.
They reached the ice cream shop and Phil ordered a rainbow ice cream cone. Dan decided to order a simple, single-scoop chocolate. Even caffeine-high, he had a little bit of self control.
Phil led him outside and down to the small park right beside the shop. there was an amphitheater for performances and a small, enclosed pavilion where there were a few kids sitting. They looked as if they hadn’t been inside in days, but they weren’t unclean or scary to Dan at all. They just seemed at peace with nature.
“Townies,” Phil whispered to Dan. “You used to live in a city, right?” Dan nodded. “Our version of bums, but they really do have homes, and they’re much nicer.” Dan nodded again to verify the value of the information.
Phil walked down to the amphitheater and sat down on the bench built into it; apparently they could just sit wherever they wanted. Dan chose the wall.
“This is a really nice little place. Feels like home.”
“Sure is. The Chinese restaurant is over there; that’s about the only other hangout here. There’s also a locally owned pizza place above it, and on the other side of town there’s a few gas stations, a McDonalds, a Subway, and a Pizza Hut, but that’s about all we’ve got. There’s also cute, little shops all over the place, but that’s a story for another day.”
“I live for that day. I have no clue what kind of paraphernalia you can buy here, but I want all of it. I still haven’t bothered to unpack my stuff yet, and I want the entire vibe of this town in my room.”
“It really does have a nice vibe, doesn’t it?” Phil said, staring off into the distance. He looked really aesthetic with that gaze, almost as if he could be on the front of a magazine. Dan felt blessed to be in his presence.
“Sure does.”
They gazed at the unappreciated beauty of the place for a moment while finishing off their ice cream before Phil leaned forward, clapping his hands together. “Ready to go?”
“Sure,” Dan said, getting up, even though he really wasn’t ready to go. Dan had never felt as much positive energy as he did in the town, and he wished he could stay forever. He sighed; he’d have over a year to take it in at least.
The entire ride home all Dan could think about was how much he wished he could spend every afternoon in town with Phil. He was sure it would eventually get old, but he wanted to milk every moment he could out of it before it did. It was a happy place yet to be discovered, and he wanted so badly to reach out and take it.
“See you tomorrow!” Phil said excitedly as they rolled up to Dan’s house.
“Tomorrow,” Dan said with an insincere smile. He was having post-concert depression, but without the concert. Post-hangout depression. He grabbed his bag and started the walk up to his house, watching Phil’s car roll away. That sight in and of itself made him even sadder. He told himself he’d see Phil again in the morning, but for some reason that wasn’t enough. He had a whole, perfect life waiting for him out there, but he was stuck with his family, and he could feel the caffeine crash coming on. It was going to be a rough night.

Genesis 13:5-15:21, Matthew 5:27-48, Psalms 6:1-10, Proverbs 1:29-33
Today is the 6th  day of January. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it is a pleasure and it is a joy to be here with you as we do this for the first time, we reach out our hand, we grab the knob, we turn it, we push forward, and we walk through the threshold of a brand-new shiny, sparkly, new week and I will remind us of this probably more weeks than not because it is a line of demarcation, like it is a new week, which gives us the opportunity to release the previous week because it has become a part of our history and we can look forward to the new week because it has not yet been lived and it is shiny and sparkly and new. And we stand here at the threshold of this new week and we get to decide how were going to live into what comes next. And when we systematically remind ourselves that His mercies are new every morning, and that we remind ourselves of these new weeks then we get a chance to reflect not only on the past week and how we managed it, but what we’re going to do to properly align ourselves with the Scriptures and with the Holy Spirit's guidance in our lives in the new week. We have a much better chance of succeeding if we pre-decide how we are going to do this, right? A plan is always a better thing than winging it. And, so, we make the plan to step into this new shiny, sparkly, new week and walk with God in every moment and in every conceivable way and watch what that does to this week. And one of the ways we do that is to immerse ourselves in the daily rhythm of the Scripture. So, I guess the lesson as we’re moving into this new year for a Daily Audio Bible right now is that we should pay attention to the brand-new weeks that come our way as opportunities for reset and restarting and one of the things we do as each beginning of each new week, we switch translations and read from another translation, which then gives us a comprehensive view over the course of a year of all that biblical scholarship and translation has to offer us. So, we pick up where we left off, but we just switch translations each week and allow those translations and those translation teams to allow God's word speak to us. So, this week we’ll read from the New International Version and we’ll pick up where we left off yesterday. Genesis chapter 13 verse 5 through 15 verse 21 today.
Commentary:
Okay. So, in the book of Genesis, just to kind of keep us attached to the story that's being told, this man named Abram is going to become a very, very, very important figure and it's probably not too much of a spoiler alert that he will have a name change. And, once he does a bunch of stuff will click into place. This man who has followed this God that he did not know into a land that he had never been influences the world until today and deeply affects three of the world's religions, two of the greatest number and that would be Christianity, Islam and Judaism and they all trace their roots back to this guy. And, so, we’ll watch this unfold as the story goes forward but even as we consider Abram going after his nephew Lot who had been taken captive and that he chased him all the way as far as the city of Dan and beyond, these geographical landmarks that we just kind of go by them, there just places in our imagination, they're not. No, they’re actual places. And, so, the ancient Canaanite city gates of the city of Dan, which had other names before Dan, but these ancient city gates that probably Abram would've had to pass through, they’re still standing, some of the oldest gates in the world. And in February, late February, we’ll be going on an adventure to the land of the Bible. Of course, that's all full. It's been full for over a year, but we go into the land of the Bible and we do this virtually every year. And, so, like, even the gates that I just told you about, as we travel through the land of the Bible visiting these geographical locations where the Bible happened, yeah, we’ll be posting that all up, so you’ll be able to see all of this and the trip becomes virtual. So, so many of the places that we’ll visit in the Bible are actual places and you’ll be able to see what they look like. If you want to kind of jumpstart on that there is a resource in the Daily Audio Bible shop, it’s called Promised Land, the Essential Pilgrim's edition and it is a double DV set that also comes with an instant digital download and there's over four hours a content. I’ve been shooting in the land of the Bible for…gosh…I think six years in a row to amass one of the greatest collections of the landscape of the Bible that exists. And, so, a lot of this is incorporated into the promised land films and what they are is just like two to three-minute short films and each of them is a location and they’re kind of organized by where they are: North, South, East or West in the land of the Bible. And, so you can see these things for yourself as we move through the Bible, you’ll be able to zoom in, watch a quick short film, if that’s what you want to do, and immerse yourself even deeper in the geography of the Bible so that you sort of have a lay of the land as we’re reading these the stories. My whole life I was raised around the Scriptures, I was raised as a pastor son, so these stories, you know, the more famous stories in the Bible were stories I grew up knowing and I always just imagined them and then even as an adult when I kind of returned to the Bible and it became part of my life I still just kind of imagined them. And then finally after many years of being invited I went and I this is like alonmst a decade ago now, but, you know, I didn't….I just thought it was gonna be kind of gimmicky and I just didn't want to go. I thought that it would maybe even mess with my faith in a bad way. I don't know…I just imagined, you know, a place where Jesus did something important in the Scriptures across the street from a McDonald's or something. I just didn't want to see that. That’s not how it is though. And, so, you can see. You can see the land of the Bible with the Promised Land films. That’s over four hours of content and will definitely set you up as we move through the Bible. So, you can check that out, but we will be going to the land of the Bible virtually next month, late next month. So, we’ve got some time and that's always a fun community experience.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word, we thank You for the story that is beginning to blossom and unfold before us as we begin to know some of these main characters that are our spiritual ancestors and begin to know their story and begin to understand that their story connects to our story and even as Jesus, we are listening to Your words that we now call the sermon on the Mount. I’m pretty sure that's not what You wrote at the top of Your notes when You decided to give this message, but this is what we call it and we’re listening to it and it's a deeply challenging thing. We’re right here at the beginning of the year. You begin to press in on us with the truth, You begin to come…we always are inviting You near not understanding that that's not just a sense of comfort, like draw near to me Lord so that I can feel better about whatever's going on in my life and I can feel comforted and I can feel like You’re gonna be here to beat up the bad guys in my life. Sometimes when we pray that You will draw near You do draw near and it confronts us with things that cannot stand in Your presence that are in our lives and this is what we begin to find as we read that what You're telling us in the sermon on the Mount. So, come Holy Spirit, plant the word of God in our lives, interpret it for us into our own contexts and stories as we walk with You and humble ourselves and surrender our agendas, we invite You through Your word to speak on Your own behalf. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:
This is Michelle from Gettysburg. I am listening to Brian’s reading from the 31st and just praying in Thanksgiving and I think to myself, how many days this year did I just think that something wouldn’t go or God wouldn’t pull through or how is it going to turn out and here we are on the 365th day of our reading and God is faithful. God is just always faithful. So, maybe you didn’t go the way we thought or maybe things didn’t work the way we wanted them to, but God had a plan. And, good or bad in our minds or our ideas, God was good, He was good all the time. And that is a praise. Even if my mom’s health isn’t exactly what I want it to be or there was a loss this year and all the prayer requests that came over, they weren’t always happy ones and there were many losses but we forged forward and we just took the next step and we just showed up, and we showed up for the readings and we showed up for God’s word and we came because we knew He was faithful. Somehow all of our stories line us back up showing thanksgiving, showing praise, and showing up. So, by the time this gets played it’ll probably be day three of the new year and we just started and took the next step, right? I thank you Daily Audio Bible people showing up, for knowing God is faithful, for knowing that in another 367 days we will be back here praising and thanking Him again as we should each day. I love you.
Dear Holy Spirit thank you for being with me, thank you for being with us and giving us this precious community of believers. On this last day of 2018 I am contemplative as Brian said so eloquently today in his reading, contemplative especially of this new word of the year, “Maintain”. And Lord, I ask that you help us as you always do Lord as we lift ourselves up to You every day and help us to maintain the hope, the hopefulness that You are. Help us to maintain the love that You give and that You have placed in our hearts as believers in Your son Jesus Christ. Help us to maintain the trust in You in knowing that You are everything, everything in our life, and if we maintain that trust and keep You first and foremost, in all things, in all thoughts, in all words and in every day, that You will keep us in the palm of Your hand and bless us exceedingly. Help us to maintain the faith in You always. And I am so grateful for Brian, Jill, Asia…China…I’m sorry…China and I just love all of you and thank you so much for this blessed community. God bless you. Happy new year.
Good morning daily Audio Bible family, this is Dmmy from Dallas Texas. This is my second time calling this year and this year is my first year completing the entire Bible. Of course, I missed some days but I’m going to do it over again for 2019. Have a happy new year everybody.
Good afternoon Daily Audio Bible community. This is Diane Olive Brown from Newburgh Indiana calling on December 31st at 4:12 PM and I have something I found that I think will really encourage your faith. It’s called Authority and it’s an anonymous…I don’t know who did this but it’s really great. When mountains will confront the way like it and leap, arise and say be thou removed and they shall be by the power of God capped in the Sea. All the power on earth, all the power in heaven to Christ, the son of God is given and from the throne He will endue and hindrances will flee from you for all the power of being that man faith through the Lord I surely can. Faith from his power on earth to tread on serpants __ on dragon’s heaf. Where though are oh mountain high, where there though art in earth and sky, when there though art truth is the same be thou removed in Jesus’ name. Be though removed faith will restart for yonder sea arise depart. I may, I can, I must, I will, the purpose of my God fulfilled. Isn’t that wonderful? We have a purpose and we shall fulfill it. Shalom shalom.
Good morning Daily Audio Bible family it’s January 1st. Happy new year. Let’s pray. God please give us the confidence to trust You to charge how things are to how You want them to be in our lives. Only You God can do that, and nothing is impossible with You God. We ask for the commitment that we need to take action. Lord, we pray that we may count our days with wisdom and realize how every day counts in the light of eternity in the saddles of our hearts. Watch over our hearts Father God. Let us ask ourselves in every situation what will this do to my heart. Help us measure our days and let us always ask ourselves, what is this going to do for my life and what is this going to do for my heart in my daily decisions. Please give us a discipline and joyful life Father God did help us to remember that our joy is in You. Help us to have a meaningful life and let us abound in pleasing You God. In Jesus mighty and precious name we pray. And we pray this prayer for all of us, especially for our children and those that are struggling. In Jesus mighty and precious name we pray. This is Nydia from New Jersey. I love you.

31st July >> (@zenitenglish) Pope Francis Welcomes and talks with 70,000 Altar Servers to St. Peter’s Square for the 12th International Pilgrimage of Altar Boys and Girls. (Jim Fair @zenitenglish) Pope Francis tends to draw a positive reaction from young people and the July 31, 2018, crowd in St. Peter’s Square was no exception. It was a joyful and sometimes noisy group of some 70,000 youth age 13-23, visiting from 19 nations. They came to Rome for the 12th International Pilgrimage of Altar Boys and Girls, running from July 28 – August 4. The event is sponsored by Coetus Internationalis Ministrantium (C.I.M.). C.I.M. is an international association for altar boys and girls C.I.M. that unites diocesan and national referents for this pastoral task in the Roman-Catholic Church. The most important activity of C.I.M. is the organization of the international pilgrimage of altar boys and girls that takes place every four or five years in Rome. In such occasions, there is the possibility to meet altar boys and girls coming from all over the world. Pope Francis welcomed the young people and said he admired them for coming despite the hot weather (it was in the 90s F). “I am happy to see you in such great numbers here in Saint Peter’s Square, adorned with your colorful banners,” the Holy Father said. “Thank you very much for giving me the emblems of your pilgrimage! “I am a pilgrim with you. You have come from many countries throughout the world, yet all of us are united by our faith in Jesus Christ. We are journeying together with him who is our peace. I thank your President, Bishop Nemet, for his kind greeting on your behalf. And now, I give the word to you, for a moment of conversation.” The Pope then had a question-answer session with the altar servers, responding to questions submitted in different languages from different countries. Following is the Vatican-Provided Translation of the Q/A Session: From Luxembourg Saint-Père, en tant que servants d’autel et aussi comme croyants, nous nous donnons la paix par le signe de la paix durant la Sainte Messe. Comment pouvons-nous contribuer à faire sortir cette paix également hors des murs de nos églises et être des bâtisseurs de paix dans nos familles, dans nos pays et dans le monde? Holy Father Thank you! You put it very well: peace and Holy Mass go together. Just before the sign of peace, we ask the Lord to grant peace and unity to the Church community. Peace is his gift; it transforms us, so that, as members of Jesus’ body, we can share in his sentiments, think as he thinks, and love as he loves. At the end of Mass, we are sent forth with the words: “Go in peace”. Concrete commitment to peace is proof of the fact that we are truly Christ’s disciples. Making peace begins with little things. For example, at home after a quarrel, do I go off by myself and act hurt, or do I make an effort to go back and reach out? Am I willing to ask myself in every situation: “What would Jesus do in my place?” If we can do this, if we really put it into practice, we will bring Christ’s peace to our everyday lives. Then we will be peacemakers and channels of God’s peace. From Portugal Santo Padre, somos acólitos. Servimos o Senhor junto do altar e contemplamo-Lo na Eucaristia. Como poderemos viver a contemplação espiritual a exemplo de Maria e o serviço prático a exemplo de Marta, procurando reconhecer concretamente, na nossa vida, aquilo que Jesus quer de nós? Holy Father In a real way, as altar servers, you share in the experience of Martha and Mary. It would be wonderful if, alongside your service to the liturgy, you could become more involved in the life of your parish and also spend some time in silence in the Lord’s presence. In this interplay of action and contemplation, we come to realize God’s plan for us. We see the talents and interests God has given us and how best to develop them. Even more importantly, we place ourselves humbly before God, just as we are, with our good qualities and our limitations, and ask him how we can best serve him and our neighbor. Don’t be afraid to ask for a word of helpful advice when you are wondering how to serve God and all those people throughout the world who need our help. Remember: the more you give yourself to others, the more you will get back in personal fulfillment and true happiness! From Antigua and Barbuda Holy Father, as altar servers it makes us sad to see how few of our own age group come to Mass or take part in the life of our parishes. In some countries, for a variety of reasons, the Church is rapidly losing many young people. How can we, and our communities, reach out to these people and bring them back to Christ and to the family of the Church? Holy Father Even now, as young people, you can be apostles, capable of drawing others to Jesus. This will happen if you are full of enthusiasm for him, if you have encountered him if you have come to know him personally, and been yourselves “won over” by him. So here is what I would I say. Try to know and love the Lord Jesus more and more, encountering him in prayer, at Mass, in the reading of the Gospel, in the faces of the lowly and the poor. Try also to be friends, with no strings attached, to all those around you, so that a ray of Jesus’ light can shine on them through your own heart in love with him. There is no need for lots of words; more important are your actions, your closeness, your desire to serve. Young people – and everyone else for that matter – need friends who can give a good example, who are ready to act without expecting anything in return. In this way, you will also help others to see how beautiful is the community of believers because the Lord dwells in its midst. And to see how beautiful it is to be part of the family of the Church. From Germany Heiliger Vater, viele Menschen sagen, sie brauchen Gott, Religion und Kirche nicht in ihrem Leben. Warum sollte man sich gerade für den katholischen Glauben entscheiden, was ist das wichtigste dabei? Und warum ist der Glaube für Sie so wichtig? Holy Father Faith is essential; it gives me life. I would say that faith is like the air we breathe. We don’t think, with every breath we take, how necessary air is, but when it isn’t there, or it isn’t clean, we realize right away how important it is! Faith helps us to grasp the meaning of life: that there is Someone who loves us infinitely and that Someone is God. We can recognize God as our Creator and our Saviour; we can love God and accept that our life is his gift. God wants to enter into a living relationship with us. He wants to build relationships, and we are called to do the same. A person cannot believe in God and then think that he or she is an only child! All of us are children of God. We are called to make up God’s family, the Church, the community of brothers and sisters in Christ. As Saint Paul says (Eph 2:19), we are “members of the household of God”. And in this family of the Church, the Lord nourishes his sons and daughters with his word and with his sacraments. From Serbia Szentatya, a mi ministránsi szolgálatunk szép, nagyon szeretjük. Szolgálni akarjuk az Urat és felebarátunkat. De jót tenni nem mindig könnyű, nem vagyunk még szentek. Hogyan fordíthatnánk át szolgálatunkat a mindennapi életben a szeretet konkrét tetteire az életszentség felé vezető úton? Holy Father Yes, it does take effort to keep doing good and to become saints… I see that you servers are committed to taking this path. The Lord Jesus gave us a simple plan for advancing in the way of holiness: the commandment of love of God and of neighbor. Let us make an effort to deepen our friendship with God, to be grateful for his love and to want to serve him in all things. In this way, we cannot help but share the gift of his love with others. To make the commandment of love all the more concrete, Jesus gave us the works of mercy. They are demanding yet within the reach of all. We have only to start asking ourselves: “What can I do today to meet the needs of my neighbor?” It makes no difference whether it is a friend or a stranger, a countryman or a foreigner. Believe me, by doing this, you can become real saints, men, and woman who transform the world by living the love of Christ. Thank you for this conversation! Note
Hey! I'm relatively new to the phandom (that is what we call it right? lol), and I was wondering if you could rec some good fics for me!
Welcome to the dark fiery depths of six-feet-under, Kira! We hope you enjoy your stay, whatever its duration may be.
Also, HECK YEAH; thank you so much for asking me this of all people! I love recommending fics (especially since I’ve read so many of them that I’m really passionate about encouraging people to read the good ones). This list will be pretty huge, and it will also have categories (and sometimes descriptions) because I am insane. Prepare yourselves for an onslaught of text under the cut!
Key: (m)=mature; (e)=explicit; (*)=best in category
Before We Begin, Please Excuse My Shameful Self-Promo
I recently wrote a fic called the disappearance of personal space. It’s about the post-baking universe and relationship negotiation (it’s an established relationship fic). It’s probably not that good, but hey, if you want to read it, then go ahead!
My Favorite Authors; Like Seriously, Everything They Write is Worth Reading
@iihappydaysii
@softgolftechniques
@waveydnp
@phanbliss
My Personal Favorites, Which I Love With My Whole Heart, etc.
A Reset of Intent (m)
“Dan might be dying. Phil is a pastor at a local church who got a phone call about visiting someone’s lonely grandson.”
This is probably the only perfectly executed phanfic about cancer in existence. It doesn’t rely on just the idea of Dan’s illness to be an emotional story, which is extremely impressive and also very refreshing. Please go read it or I will be sad.
The Serenity Prayer (tw for self-harm)
“When Dan is invited to a mainstream Youtube convention, he expects it to be an opportunity to speak to a wider audience about God. What he doesn’t expect is running into Phil Lester, a man capable of changing his entire world.”
Yes, it’s another fic about religion, but like the last one, it’s extremely good! It’s a little angsty, but it actually makes sense within the context of the story, which I love. Their conversations are incredibly well-written, too.
Every Atom Belonging (m)
“They were young and falling in love. They embraced it.”
This is 2009 Phan at its finest. It made me cry and it’s not even meant to be sad, and it’s immensely beautiful and poetic; however, it somehow still manages to be lighthearted. It’s an absolute joy to read.
** note: i’ll update this later as my mom is taking my laptop + you can at least get a short answer for now. :( sorry

Summary: In which Dan's father is a preacher, and Dan has just slept with Phil for the first time.
A Dance With Death - botanistlester
Summary: Dan is the God of Death, who helps people to the Underworld when they pass. One day, he randomly pops up at a masquerade ball for Prince Philip’s coming of age ceremony. He doesn’t know why he is there, but it’s hard to focus on his job when the prince asks him to dance.
Advocates For Change (ao3) - rainbowchristy
Summary: What happens when society chooses to cure anyone whose different? What happens if, to cure them, they need to be removed to society and put into camps? What happens when Dan is taken to one of those camps?
Or, an AU in which, anyone who has an abnormal sexuality, gender, religion or a mental illness, is taken to a camp to be cured but the system doesn't work.
A Reset of Intent (ao3) - iihappydaysii
Summary: Dan might be dying. It’s unclear at this point, but, in any case, he’s stuck going stir crazy in a hospital room for the time being. Phil is a pastor at a local church who got a phone call about visiting someone’s lonely grandson. It shouldn’t work between them, but it does. A little too well for a maybe-dying atheist and a maybe-not-all-that-straight man of God.
A Taste of Myrrh (ao3) - imsorryimlate
Summary: “… Should I be calling you ‘father’?” Dan asked and regretted the words as soon as they had left his mouth.  Phil smiled.  “You can, if you want.”  There was something about the way he said it that made Dan feel hot all over.

A quick friendship quickly picks up speed into a sexual relationship that neither one of them can avoid. Finding solace in one another, they gain a newfound love that they never knew could have existed.
Make Me Sin (ao3) - sjakalen
Summary: In which Dan is the town’s new pastor, and Phil is sheer trouble.
Sinner In Secret (ao3) - orphan_account
Summary: Confession January 30th Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is an abomination." Forgive me, lord, for I have sinned.
Sins - your-precious-phan-blog
Summary: Punk!Phil is pinning after Religious!Pastel!Dan.
Spirituality (ao3) - dannihowell (iguessicantry)

The Path of Righteousness (ao3) - TwistedRocketPower

It wouldn’t matter if it was one anyway, because there wasn’t anything or anyone who could take him from this place.
The Serenity Prayer (ao3) - TwistedRocketPower
Summary: Daniel Howell is a Christian vlogger, dedicated to telling the world about God and living a life that pleases Him. When he is invited to a mainstream YouTube convention, he expects it to be an opportunity to speak to a wider audience about God. What he doesn’t expect is running into Phil Lester, a man capable of changing his entire world.
Three Secrets, Two Lies, One Truth - placingglaciers
Summary: In which Phil is Dan’s new accountability partner at church and things get a little complicated, especially when Dan comes out in confidence to him and ruins practically everything.
would it be a sin if I can't help falling in love with you? (ao3) - resurrectdead
Summary: it's 1978, everything is a bad influence, catholicism makes you a bit sad sometimes and dan finds the answer to all his questions.
You Make Me Brave (ao3) - thathipsterkaiya
Summary: Dan didn’t want anything to do with being Catholic ever since the boys in his church choir started bullying him for being gay when he was 14 years old. Now with his father forcing him to go to a Catholic University as a last resort to make him Christian again, Dan must come face to face with his faith. A bright religious grad student named Phil offers Dan a chance to find God again. Little did Dan know that he’d end up falling in love along the way.
Your Petals Are My Thorns (ao3) - theshyauthor
Summary: Dan likes flowers. That’s why he grows them on his thighs whenever he has forbidden thoughts about other men. When Phil comes into his life, Dan’s small garden grows into a field.

A STATEMENT FROM CHRISTIAN ETHICISTS WITHOUT BORDERS ON WHITE SUPREMACY AND RACISM
The following statement was written by over 250 concerned Christian ethicists and theologians, including several Daily Theology members.
For a full and updated list of signatories, please see click here.
A Statement from Christian Ethicists Without Borders on White Supremacy and Racism
August 14, 2017
As followers of Jesus Christ and as Christian ethicists representing a range of denominations and schools of thought, we stand in resolute agreement in firmly condemning racist, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, and neo-Nazi ideology as a sin against God that divides the human family created in God’s image.
In January of 2017, white nationalist groups emboldened by the 2016 election planned an armed march against the Jews of Whitefish, Montana. On August 11th and 12th, hundreds of armed neo-Nazis marched in Charlottesville, Virginia. As we mourn the deaths of 32-year old counter-protester Heather Heyer and state troopers H. Jay Cullen and Berke Bates from this most recent incident, we unequivocally denounce racist speech and actions against people of any race, religion, or national origin.
White supremacy and racism deny the dignity of each human being revealed through the Incarnation. The evil of white supremacy and racism must be brought face-to-face before the figure of Jesus Christ, who cannot be confined to any one culture or nationality. Through faith we proclaim that God the Creator is the origin of all human persons. In the words of Frederick Douglass, “Between the Christianity of this land and the Christianity of Christ, I recognize the widest possible difference.”
The greatest commandments, as Jesus taught and exemplified, are to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves; and so as children of God, and sisters and brothers to all, we hold the following:
We reject racism and anti-Semitism, which are radical evils that Christianity must actively resist.
We reject the sinful white supremacy at the heart of the “Alt Right” movement as Christian heresy.
We reject the idolatrous notion of a national god. God cannot be reduced to “America’s god.”
We reject the “America First” doctrine, which is a pernicious and idolatrous error. It foolishly asks Americans to replace the worship of God with the worship of the nation, poisons both our religious traditions and virtuous American patriotism, and isolates this country from the community of nations. Such nationalism erodes our civic and religious life, and fuels xenophobic and racist attacks against immigrants and religious minorities, including our Jewish and Muslim neighbors.
We confess that all human beings possess God-given dignity and are members of one human family, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or country of origin.
We proclaim that the gospel of Jesus Christ has social and political implications. Those who claim salvation in Jesus Christ, therefore, must publicly name evil, actively resist it, and demonstrate a world of harmony and justice in the midst of racial, religious and indeed all forms of human diversity.
Therefore, we call upon leaders of every Christian denomination, especially pastors, to condemn white supremacy, white nationalism, and racism.
Contemplate and respect the image of God imprinted on each human being.
Work across religious traditions to reflect on the ways we have been complicit in upholding and benefiting from the sins of racism and white supremacy.
Pray for the strength and courage to stand emphatically against racism, white supremacy, and nationalism in all its forms.
Participate in acts of peaceful protest, including rallies, marches, and at times, even civil disobedience. Do not remain passive bystanders in the face of the heresies of racism, white supremacy, and white nationalism.
Engage in political action to oppose structural racism.
We will bring the best of our traditions to an ecclesial and societal examination of conscience where rhetoric and acts of hatred against particular groups can be publicly named as grave sins and injustices.
Finally, as ethicists, we commit—through our teaching, writing, and service—to the ongoing, hard work of building bridges and restoring wholeness where racist and xenophobic ideologies have brought brokenness and pain.
(If you are a Christian ethicist or teach Christian ethics and wish to add your name, please email Tobias Winright at [email protected] or Matthew Tapie at [email protected] or Anna Floerke Scheid at [email protected] or MT Dávila at [email protected] with your name, highest degree, title, and institution. Institutions are named for identification purposes only and this does not necessarily represent their support of this statement, although we hope they do, too.)

FINISHING LINE PRESS BOOK OF THE DAY: Possum, Beaver, Lion: Variants by Sarah Voss $14.99, paper https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/possum-beaver-lion-variants-by-sarah-voss/ RESERVE YOUR COPY TODAY Sarah Voss is a retired Unitarian Universalist minister, a past math professor, a contract chaplain at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, the author of many works about religion and math/science (dedicated website: www.PiZine.org), a lucky grandmother, an incurable poet (interview: http://rkvryquarterly.com/interview-with-sarah-voss/), and a mystic (interview: http://www.centerforsacredsciences.org/index.php/Holos/holos-voss.html). She and her spouse Dan Sullivan – both young-at-heart – live in an old farmhouse in the middle of Omaha. Sarah’s poetry and creative work has appeared in such print journals as Thema, Writer’s Journal, Ellipsis, Earth’s Daughters, The Healing Muse, The MidWest Quarterly and The Mid-America Poetry Review; in collections including Nebraska Presence: An Anthology of Poetry and Times of Sorrow, Times of Grace; and online in r.k.v.r.y Quarterly, Midway Journal, and Sacred Journey. In 1991, while completing her hospital training as a chaplain, Sarah produced a very well-received chapbook of poem-prayers for the Department of Pastoral Care at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. Now, twenty-five years later, Possum, Beaver, Lion: Variants is her first traditional collection of poetry. She has been refining her poetic craft for a long time! With unflinching courage and skill, Sarah Voss‘s poems explore aging and the human need for purpose while defining the possum, beaver, and lion in all of us. The details and images are personal which make them universal. In one poem, the granddaughter’s emotions are described “… on a teeter-totter.” In the next, the grandmother’s “… emotions ride inside on/ escalators. Sometimes/ I still take the stairs.” Later, Voss writes, “… until we tickle the sky/ with new-found hope…” Moving through this collection, the reader “thanks this holy day” along with the poet, despite the setbacks. Wonderfully crafted and wise, these are poems to carry and to share. –Cat Dixon, author of Eva and Too Heavy to Carry (Stephen F. Austin University Press 2016, 2014) and Our End Has Brought the Spring (Finishing Line Press, 2015). She is the managing editor of The Backwaters Press, a nonprofit press in Omaha. This collection especially illustrates the talents of Sarah Voss. Using her ingenuity and fresh, concise language, she creates a work of rewarding complexity for the reader. In her insightful and articulate analysis of the human psyche, she plays a large range of human emotions entwined with a keen sense of humor. –Cheryl Arends Cheryl Arends’ work has appeared in The Licking River Review, The South Dakota Review, The Midwest Quarterly and elsewhere. She recently published a chapbook, An Early Frost on Marigold Blossoms. In Possum, Beaver, Lion gimlet-eyed poet Sarah Voss takes us deeply into her world, and shields us from no pain or emotions. From anger and frustration in How You Know I’m Mad: A Response to your “Poem in 7 Parts” to gentle, playful tenderness in numerous poems about her grandkids, then to a loving look at spousal foibles in Things My Husband Doesn’t Know I Do, Voss’ deft voice guides us through her world like a seer. Clearly, Sarah Voss not only reached “a hard seventy” but some hard-earned wisdom as well. You will come away from these poems smarter about being human, and about the good that poems can do. –Greg Kosmicki PREORDER SHIPS SEPTEMBER 8, 2017 https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/possum-beaver-lion-variants-by-sarah-voss/ #poetry

Day 5: words 7634 - 10,065
...because I spent 11 hours of Day 4 driving, and I was Very Tired.
In which, Taako makes a Fateful Decision.
The problem with multi-classing as a rogue is that everyone immediately assumes you are suddenly great at sneaking around.  Magnus has spent a good deal of time training with Carey, it's true, but her brand of stealth involves more sleight of hand, dodging attacks, and doing some sweet flips.  And while there are things like smoke bombs and thunder stones, those are conspicuous, so not great when going for the 'not being noticed' thing.
Sneaking around is an art that Magnus has not perfected.  Actually, he hasn't even started learning that bit. Besides, he is in a fairly well lit house-turned-business, in his regular, not all black and shadowy clothing, during the day.  These are all things counterproductive when it comes to the traditional sort of sneaking around.
This is a different kind of sneaking around, he supposes.  This is the kind where you wander around and get as many places as you could before someone asked you what you were doing and you made up some bullshit story about trying to find the toilet and then hoped you rolled well enough on your deception roll to fool them.
Rule 1, he knows, is to look like you're supposed to be there.  Fake it til you make it.  He's going for Fantasy James Bond here, not Fantasy Solid Snake.
They have to wait for a little while before Taako kicks up another fuss, to make it seem realistic. Then, as Merle attempts to 'keep the peace' by quoting scripture, Magnus uses the attention Salvatore has on the dwarf to slide through the room and into one of the other curtained off rooms.
He's a little nervous about it.  They are pretty sure that this woman is using one of the Relics, and he has seen, time and time again, what sort of things these Relics can do to people.  Nothing is tracking here as overly weird so far, but things change quickly.  Still, he would much rather it be him to get into trouble than either Taako or Merle.
His findings are innocuous.  He discovers a meeting room with another desk with two fancy chairs on one side and one on the other, clearly for Rebekah and her clients.  Another room appears to be another sitting room, much like the one he and Taako and Merle had been waiting within.  Yet another seems to be a neatly kept office, bookshelves filled with carefully labeled binders.  He finds a fancy but rather unused kitchen, along with an adjoining dining area.  He comes across a pleasant bathroom.
Nearly all of the rooms hold more pictures on the walls, neatly spaced and with no room for more.  It is clear that all the rooms he has visited are used for various parts of the business, or at least may be seen by patrons.  Everything is neat, with fancy decor and a very cozy feel.  There is absolutely nothing strange or out of place in the entire first floor, except maybe that he doesn't see anyone else, although he isn't sure how many people a wedding planner would really need to employ.
The only thing of interest he finds is a few locked doors.  Judging from the structure of the rooms around the first, Magnus guesses it is a stairwell, which would make sense since the building appears to be at least three stories tall from the outside.  The other goes out from the kitchen area, and his best guess for that is a basement.
He is doing fairly well, he thinks.  In spite of not finding anything of interest, he also hasn't gotten caught.  He is still cheerfully patting himself on the back at the thought when that changes.
It happens while he's just about to head back to the sitting room, after monkeying with the door he believes to lead to the upstairs and wishing he had thought to borrow Taako's Hole Thrower.  An elven man with light brown skin and dark hair walks around the corner and pauses, clearly as surprised to see Magnus as Magnus is to see him. The elf is very lovely in that sort of ethereal, elf-y way, and just for a split second, Magnus mistakes him for Taako.
“Um,” says Magnus, articulately.
“Are you lost?” the elf asks.  He sounds...disinterested in whatever Magnus is up to.
“Yeah, er, I was looking for the john,” Magnus says.
“You just passed it,” the elf says, jerking a thumb back over his shoulder.  “Second door on the right.”
“Thanks,” Magnus says, and slides past him.  Aw, yeah.  Saved by the fake bathroom excuse.
The elf pulls a key out of his pocket and slides it into the lock on the door.  As Magnus is searching for the toilet, he glances back and sees that his inclination was correct.  He can see stairs through the open door.  Then the elf disappears up the stairs and he hears the click of the door being locked again.
When he makes his way back to the front room, Taako and Merle aren't there anymore.  There is only one slightly ruffled Salvatore, sitting at his desk and pressing his pen to his paper so hard that he is nearly snapping the tip off.  Magnus isn't going to ask.  He isn't going to say anything, in fact.  He just slips into the sitting room again, while Salvatore is destroying that poor pen.
Within the sitting room, Merle is paging through a magazine, looking exceptionally bored.  Taako is nowhere to be found.
“Where's Taako?” Magnus asks.
Merle looks up, and the expression on his face is nothing short of mirthful.  “He's in there, talkin' to Rebekah Whatever-Her-Name-Is,” he explains cheerfully.  “And you'll never believe what happened.”
This entire section is not really very good and I'm going to come back to it later and fix it.
Taako has seen Merle attempt evangelism before.  He had been preaching the Good Word the first time Taako had ever met him, or attempting to. He has done it on other occasions too, but only to serve as a distraction for Taako and Magnus, generally.  He has never tried to read the Bible to either of his companions.  He has never tried to convert or inform either one of them.  If he hadn't had access to his divine powers, Taako would doubt the dwarf's conviction entirely.
The thing of it is, Merle is an extremely good evangelist, and Taako has just never gotten the chance to observe this.  Salvatore, in his infinite polite patience, has not only allowed Merle to break up the argument Taako had gotten into with him, but has not interrupted Merle's subsequent evangelizing.  And Merle is actually pretty good about it.  Some religions get into converting people to their Gods, but Merle is talking to inform.  Taako has learned more about Dan in the past ten minutes than he had learned in his entire life.
For instance, Dan's name is actually Pan.
He might have known that already.  He doesn't really care enough to remember.
“...and so that's why, in the presence and all encompassing love of Pan, you should both sit down and apologize to each other or this whole disagreement,” Merle finishes with a flourish.
“Not to be dramatic, but I'd rather die,” Taako replies.
“Do you even know how not to be dramatic?” Merle asks.
Taako huffs.  He is sitting on the edge of Salvatore's desk, his butt shoving back a few stacks of papers and generally disorganizing the entire area.  He isn't certain he is irritating Salvatore, but he's sure trying.  And not only because Magnus is still gone.
The front door opens before Salvatore can react, and in walks a halfling woman.  She has long, auburn hair and light brown eyes that compliment her reddish tan skin, and she is wearing a lovely green dress.
Salvatore stands up immediately upon seeing her.  “Welcome back, madam,” he says.
“Oh! I didn't realize we had guests,” she replies, glancing and Merle and Taako.  “Don't tell me I forgot I had an appointment, did I?”
“No, madam.  They're walk-ins.  The elf seems quite sure you'll want to talk to him.”
Taako stands up off the desk.  He examines the woman and notices, belatedly, the gold chain leading to the breast pocket of her dress. Clearly, this was Rebekah Joiner herself, and that chain may just contain the Oculus.  Beside him, he notices Merle perk up too.
“So you're the boss lady herself, huh?  The local matrimonial mastermind, as rumor would have it,” Taako says, pleased by this development.
“Aren't you a flatterer?” she chuckles.  “I suppose I am the boss lady, though.  Rebekah Joiner.  It's a pleasure to meet you.”  She holds out a hand toward him.
He shakes it.  “I'm Taako.  You may have seen me?  On TV?  That's me, the one and only.”
“You do look quite familiar, Taako,” she replies, nodding.
He feels a single drop of sweat roll down his spine.  Recognition in this town is probably not a great thing, but she doesn't look like she's about to call down the local militia on him.  She's probably just being polite.  Sizzle It Up With Taako is a thing long in the past, and even longer ago since he had performed here.
“And your companion?” she asks, turning toward Merle.
“Merle Highchurch,” Merle puts forth.  “And we ain't here to get hitched.  Trust me.”
“Fuck, no,” Taako agrees.
Salvatore, who is still standing behind his desk, interjects.  “From what I understand, Sir Taako is looking for some sort of partnership between his company and yours.”
Rebekah cocks her head to the side, looking slightly disappointed.  “Oh...is that so?  I'm afraid we're not exactly looking to expand at the moment,” she says.
No! He's so close!  He can almost see the monocle in her pocket!  “Well,” he continues, hoping his bluff game is on point today.  “That was...part of it.  I'll be real with you, my dude, I didn't think I'd get a meeting with you on such short notice if I didn't, well, flaunt my assets a little, if you know what I mean.  Stretch that celebrity influence a little.  Not that I wouldn't be so down for a partnership, mind you.”
Rebekah claps her hands together.  “I knew it!  I can smell a groom-to-be from miles away,” she says cheerily.  “You wouldn't have brought your pastor with you otherwise, would you have?”  She gestures at Merle's Bible with one hand.  “Wonderful.  Why don't you come with me into a meeting room? Salvatore, please push back any of my appointments until Taako and I are finished.”
Salvatore almost loses his composure, and that flash of outright fury that dances in his eyes for a split second is more than enough to make this entire encounter worth it.  “Of course, madam,” he says, and sits down.
Okay. Okay.  So Rebekah thinks he is getting married.  That's...doable, he supposes.  That definitely gives him an in with the lady in case this doesn't work on the first try, which it won't because he has shitty luck.  He twirls the umbra staff in his hand and gives Salvatore the slimiest smile he can manage.  “Salvatore, darling, won't you let Mags know I'm off with Reeb here when he gets back from the washroom?” he asks sweetly.
“Mags?” Rebekah asks.  “So that's the Mr. Taako-to-be?”
Taako almost loses his composure at the thought.  He has had absolutely no thought as to what Magnus' role in this deception would be.  And now, caught in the moment, he cannot think of literally anything else.  Besides, who is going to be the other groom if not Magnus?  It isn't like he can just conjure his dream man out of thin air.  He'd probably need the Oculus for that.
Fuck. Magnus is going to kill him.
On the other hand, it's going to be the sweetest possible revenge for that thing in the wagon earlier.
“You got it, babe,” he says, and he can't help but be a little bit amused by the way Merle's eyes sort of bug out from his head when he says it.  “Magnus Burnsides, also known as Mr. Taako.”
“Fantastic! And congratulations!” Rebekah chirps happily as she leads him beyond another curtain, into a much smaller room that appears to be an office of sorts.  It's mostly empty of furniture, but for the desk with two chairs facing it.  If Taako had to wager a guess based on context clues, he would say a consultation room.
She pulls out one chair for him and then sits in her seat on the other side of the desk.  “Thank you, Reebo,” he says airily as he sits down, crossing his legs and folding his hands on his knee.
“Of course!  Goodness!  It isn't every day I get to help plan a celebrity wedding,” she says.
He actually relaxes minutely at that.  He knows he is blowing his own popularity out of proportion, so it's quite likely she's just humoring him in an attempt to flatter him.  He smiles benevolently at her.  “Now, you understand -- we're keeping this under wraps for now.  Tightly sealed,” he explains.  “If word of this got out too early, well, it'd be a mess. You understand.”
“Naturally, yes,” she agrees.  “Don't worry.  You'll have perfect radio silence on my end.”
“Fantastic. I really don't want to get fantasy lawyers involved with the paperwork, you know?  So I'll take your word for that.”
“That's very kind of you.  Now.  You said Magnus is here, right?  When do I get to meet him?”
He really doesn't want her to meet Magnus before he's had a chance to go over their cover story together, but beggars can't be choosers.  “Uh, well, he's real shy,” Taako explains, a little awkwardly.  “He is here, but...he went to the washroom and I haven't seen him since, so he might be.  Hiding.”
“...hiding?”
“He's -- real shy.  About strangers.”
This is the worst lie Taako has ever told.
“No, that isn't true,” he adds quickly.  “It's just -- it's just. He's.  Well.  We're not going public with the wedding plans right away.  We don't even have a date set.  If someone saw him with me...especially here. So he, uh, went to the washroom.”
“...and he stayed there?” she asks, still seeming confused.
“Yes. No?  I don't honestly know where he is right now.”
“Ooookay. Well.  Whatever!  I'll meet him soon enough, I suppose.  Now.  Taako.  I know you're in the early stages of planning, but I'm guessing a fashion forward elf like you already has some ideas, yes?”

Who Is God?
Tumblr media
By Kenneth Stepp
God... Never a deeper subject existed. God is someone or something different to almost everyone. If you’re a protestant, God is approached through an advocate, His son, Jesus. If you are a Catholic. Mary is the path to God. If you’re an Atheist. God isn’t real, so He doesn’t matter. If you’re a Scientologist. Xenu would be your guy. Then there are factions of each type of belief system. If you’re a Christian, like me. You might be a argue over dunking or sprinkling, weekly sacraments, or women speaking in the church. You get the idea. God is complicated when looking at the spectrum of ideas of Him.
So why, after all the years of not talking about God, religion, or politics, would I bring this up today? After taking an almost 5 year break from church and organised religion of any kind. I felt compelled to visit a local church today. Why? I’m still processing that question. I do know what I was looking for though. Healing. I was involved in a local church when I was married for almost 20 years. It was my community, my world. Or a big part of it. You see I have dedicated most of my adult life to knowing God. To understanding the bible. I am a bible college grad, and spent years in education to learn more. I’m earned master’s in it years later. I moved on to PHD studies. I’ve spent the last few years in scholarship and doctoral studies.
It seems that knowledge, history, and understanding more about the bible hasn’t brought the peace or healing I desperately sought. Today was a trial for me. Sadly, it wasn’t successful. Peace and healing are elusive. At least for me. After decades of wealth and social standing. A theft took it all away. What happened after was brutal. The church I had invested so much in, just wasn’t there anymore. My friends vanished. At least most of them. But my wife and I stayed in the church. Later when our marriage failed, the next wave of hurt came. Those left in my life from my home church, and there were only a few. Vanished as well. The years losing everything and then my marriage were particularly hard, harsh, and trying. Especially alone. One person through all of this in leadership in my church called me. One. He was the real deal. Pastor Dan. I miss him. He passed a while back.
I have wrestled with visiting another church for a while now. The last few weeks I have felt compelled to. Today I just had to. Thinking that peace or healing was waiting there. I jumped in my truck and headed towards a church I’d never heard of before. It was smaller than the one I left. But reminded me of it back before it became gigantic. Today was a let down, although it was not their fault, I’m still in a strange place and very damaged. But I’m still processing the day and will for a week or so. It’s how I roll. One thing good to come out of my visit today was that it made me think deeper about my God.
So who is God? Well, I guess, who God is to me is what matters to me. God is the creator of everything. His son, who is also God, has acted as an advocate for me, Kenneth Stepp, personally. Man that’s hard to wrap my head around. After all the studying and hours of prayer. I still believe. Yes I understand, as much as a human can, who God is, and what God is. My journey has been revealing. It took years, but I know what God is not. God is not the buildings we call churches. He is not the people who lead or attend them. I can and do often connect with Him. Even though I left my old church almost 5 years ago, I still receive prayer requests from them. And like always, I still pray for them. Is it because it became a habit because I spent years on the prayer team? I don’t think so. You see, every person that sends in a prayer request gives me the opportunity to connect with God and intercede on their behalf. Funny how things work.
God is amazing. It feels like the church has lost it’s way in some very important ways. I watched as others became outcasts after losing their wealth. It was easy to watch celebs take top priority. And anyone with means became important overnight. I’m not trying to beat them up or pick on them. I love that church. I care deeply about so many people there, leaders and members. I miss the fellowship I had with them. I still pray for them. One day I hope to be a part of another church. One day... I’ll end this with some wisdom. No matter how badly people let you down, never give up on God. I promise He will never give up on you.

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! Update! Sept 7th 2020
Watching Bible Prophecy Unfold :: By Daymond Duck
Published on:September 6, 2020
The prophet Amos said, “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).
God reveals what He intends to do before He does it.
Some, like myself, believe the Tribulation Period is being set in motion, and few realize how serious this is prophetically.
Those that are not Raptured before the Tribulation will probably die during the Tribulation Period.
Notice these things:
The Tribulation Period will begin with a covenant with many (Dan. 9:27). Following 72 years of hostility toward Israel, several Arab nations are discussing the normalization of relations with Israel (much depends on a trip to the Middle East by Jared Kushner and others, but it got off to a good start on August 29, 2020, when the UAE ended its economic boycott with Israel and opened the door for tourism, trade and financial agreements with the Jewish state).
The Antichrist will rule over all nations during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 13:7), and a never-ending effort is underway to dump Trump and establish a socialist/communist world government that sounds a lot like the government of Antichrist (The UN goal is to have that government up and running by 2030).
The Antichrist will blaspheme God (Rev. 13:5-6). There was no mention of God at the recent Democrat convention that nominated Biden and Harris, which led several pundits to say, “The Democrats have a God problem” (some actually want to replace Christianity with the Global Ethic; World Religion).
The Antichrist will be assisted by a religious leader called the False Prophet (Rev. 13:11-18; 16:13), and a high-ranking Catholic leader recently expressed concern that Pope Francis could be the False Prophet (Francis is calling for a world government and a world religion, protecting gay priests, compromising on abortion and other traditional Roman Catholic beliefs, etc. If Pope Francis is the False Prophet, events have to move fast because of his age).
During the Tribulation Period, people won’t be allowed to buy or sell unless they take the Mark, the name of the Antichrist or the number of his name (Rev. 13:17). A long list of influential people are calling for everyone on earth to be vaccinated and marked in the coming months.
For years, some Bible prophecy teachers have taught that tracking all buying and selling requires a cashless society. The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that it will hold its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, in January 2021 and its theme will be “The Great Reset,” which includes a plan to replace cash with a digital currency (and to redistribute your wealth; the cashless society is already shaping up all over the world at stores that do not have cashiers. Note: As I was preparing to send this article to the editor, I was told that the WEF has delayed its meeting until this summer, but I have not confirmed it).
Famine is a sign of the Second Coming (Matt. 24:7). It is being reported that the demand for food at food banks is up sharply (On Aug. 24, 2020, Pres. Trump increased the spending on certain food distribution programs by one billion dollars).
The Second Coming will be like the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37) when the wickedness of man was great (Gen. 6:5). People are rioting, looting, burning and injuring people, etc., in Democrat-run cities, and the Democrats in charge appear to be protecting them.
The Tribulation Period will be marked by hyper-inflation and an economic collapse (Rev. 6:5-6), and because of lockdowns due to the Coronavirus, the U.S. has borrowed trillions of dollars to stimulate the economy. The whole world is going broke, and some are saying if people don’t go back to work the global economy will collapse, and more.
Pestilence is a sign of the Second Coming (Matt. 24:7). It will be a worldwide pandemic (Rev. 6:7-8) that will cause multitudes to die, and the Coronavirus has been declared to be a worldwide pandemic that it is killing multitudes and will probably get worse.
Jesus was asked about the signs of His coming (Second Coming, not the Rapture) and He said, “Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel; Hos. 9:10); When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation (perhaps 70-80 years; Psa. 90:10) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled” (Matt. 24:32-34).
More could be said, but anyone that knows very much about the Bible should be able to see the existence of Israel, the fact that Israel has been a nation 72 years, and the prophetic significance of the current global situation.
My granddad would probably have said, “Anyone with one eye and half sense can understand that the last days are shaping up just like the Bible says.”
Jesus told Daniel the wise will understand the Tribulation-Period events at the time of the end (Dan. 12:8-10).
Some global elites are planning to control people’s lives, incomes, religion, healthcare, education of their children, force people to live in smaller houses, force people to drive smaller cars, and control the kind and amount of heating and cooling people have, etc.
Some of this is part of the Green New Deal that Bernie Sanders and the Democrats are pushing in this current election.
I want to lovingly remind pastors and teachers that accepting God’s call to be a pastor or a teacher includes an awesome responsibility.
Pastors and teachers will be rewarded for faithfully preaching and teaching the whole Word of God, including the Second Coming (II Tim. 4:8; I Pet. 5:2-4), but pastors and teachers will receive a greater judgment if they ignore their responsibility (James 3:1).
We should not take these words of Jesus lightly, “O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times” (Matt. 16:3).
More recent current events are as follows:
One, natural disasters will increase in frequency and intensity (like birth pains) before the Second Coming. After Hurricane Laura tore through Louisiana and Texas with winds up to 150 mph, one survivor said, “It looks like 1,000 tornadoes” came through.
Two, on August 24, 2020, the president of the Barna research group said one in five churches could permanently close within the next 18 months because of the Coronavirus crisis. Church attendance and giving are down, and many pastors will lose their pulpits. My sympathy goes out to these churches and pastors.
But God’s Word cannot be silenced. The good news is that some of those pulpits were silent on prophetic matters, and large numbers of their members are tuning in on TV and the Internet to hear what some of the prophetic preachers of our day are saying. If a pastor does not want to preach the whole Word, God can close the pastor’s church and feed the members through another venue.
Three, on August 26, 2020, Amir Tsarfati reported a buildup of Russian naval vessels in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Syria. What this is all about remains to be seen.
Four, following the announcement that the UAE is ending its economic boycott of Israel, Rabbi Yehudah Glick, of Temple Mount fame, spoke out. It has been reported that he said, “A wave of peace agreements could be a harbinger of a period of peace more conducive to the construction of the Third Temple than the first several decades of modern Israel, which were characterized by wars.”
According to the Book of Daniel, there will be a peace treaty and the Temple will be rebuilt. However, the Antichrist will break that peace treaty at the middle of the Tribulation Period (Dan. 9:27). He will confirm that treaty, and people will declare peace and safety, but the Antichrist will go forth conquering and to conquer (Thess. 5:3; Rev. 6:1-2).
Rabbi Yehudah Glick made another interesting comment, “One of the most significant achievements in this agreement is that this will bring the Arab Muslim citizens of the UAE to the Temple Mount to pray.” They will not be allowed inside the Dome of the Rock to pray, but they can visit the Temple Mount and pray outside. Glick sees this as an opportunity for Jews, Muslims and Christians to pray together and, eventually, for the Temple Mount to become a place of prayer for all people (see Isa. 56:7). This will happen during the Millennium.
For those that are interested, I am not predicting the day or the hour of the Rapture, but a friend recently sent the following Ken Potter information to me:
Rosh HaShanah 2020 Key Times:
START: Sunset in Jerusalem, 9/18/2020 6:40 PM IDT = 9/18/2020 11:40 AM U.S. Eastern
FINISH: Sunset in Jerusalem, 9/20/2020 6:38 PM IDT = 9/20/2020 11:38 AM U.S. Eastern
SOLAR MIDNIGHT AFTER in Jerusalem, 9/21/2020 12:32 AM = 9/20/2020 5:32 PM U.S. Eastern
The following is a link to a video with loads of information about the Feast of Trumpets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=Rqe6iCzNif8
Finally, no one knows the day or the hour of our Lord’s return, but a growing number of the best Bible prophecy teachers believe one’s salvation is an urgent matter.
God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world and was buried and raised from the dead. Ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, and come into your heart and be your Saviour. Then tell someone that you have done this.

Bible Arguments 6
By DeYtH Banger "That’s right. This is great news, because since you have been ignoring me all these years, and have not been giving me the proper respect I deserve, you have made me very upset. I become an angry person when I am not honored, when my loving character is not appreciated. So, I built a torture chamber down in my basement. It’s dark and hot down there, with sharp knives and chains and hooks on the walls, and a furnace with flames, and some smelly vats with caustic Lake-of-Fire chemicals. It’s horrible. But the good news is that you don’t have to go down there. I sent my son down there. It was ugly. It was horrific. My only-begotten son experienced an agony of suffering and shame. But that satisfied my anger, and I’m not mad any more. It is finished. And that is great news for you! All you have to do is come up here on my porch and thank my bleeding son for what he did for you. Tell him you love him." - Dan Barker "“What is the life of life?” That question is based on a belief that life, like a tool, has no internal purpose of its own. If you don’t have the freedom to choose to strive for your own goals, then you are not really alive. You are a hammer. If you think your purpose must come from outside yourself, you are a lifeless implement or a slave to another mind. And that is exactly what most religions teach. The so-called good news of Christian ity, for example, cheats its followers with the sleight of hand of trading purpose for purpose, euthanizing the individual by cutting out the heart of life and implanting it elsewhere. It turns a living creature into a dead shell." - Dan Barker "“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”3 He told believers to “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.”4 Those words were written by a man who called himself a “slave” of Christ: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”5 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”6 “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”7 In Christianity, you have to die so that someone else can live through you." - Dan Barker "Rick Warren, best-selling author of The Purpose Driven Life, agrees with Paul and Jesus. He has sold tens of millions of books worldwide to worshipful believers who have been conned into thinking that life is not life..." - Dan Barker "He has convinced his flock that it is actually good to be a slave. For political reasons, the fame he has achieved as a shepherd preaching sheephood got him invited to offer the opening prayer at President Barack Obama’s first inauguration. What an irony that the most important civic ritual belonging to all Americans, the swearing in of our secular president, had to be “solemnized” by a superstitious sermonizer who believes that the authority of our nation stems not from we, the people, in pursuit of happiness, but from the sovereignty of a “Lord” who dictates that we must submit to his will because a talking snake tricked us into eating the fruit of knowledge." - Dan Barker "Warren’s entire book; others have already done that. Robert M. Price’s book, The Reason Driven Life, neatly exposes the fact that The Purpose Driven Life is nothing more than newly packaged old-fashioned biblical fundamentalism." - Dan Barker "Before he became wealthy selling sanctimonious self-help (the “self” not being the reader), he was charged with abusing the IRS tax code. In the early 1990s, his church had paid all or a substantial part of his salary as a cash “housing allowance,” allowing him to report little or no income, taking advantage of a little-known, unfair provision in the statutes that allows “ministers of the gospel” to exclude their rent or house payments from income, greatly lowering their tax liability.8 What Warren did was clearly wrong—he was excluding his entire salary as if he were spending it all on housing. He was cheating the rest of us taxpayers. But since the law was ambiguously stated, not setting a limit to the allowance, he did not have to pay penalties or back taxes. Congress mooted the case in 2002, getting Warren off the hook, but clarifying that from now on the housing allowance is limited to the fair rental value of the home.9 This pastor, like most clergy, apparently feels that preachers are a privileged class. His parishioners might have a purpose-driven life, but their leader has a loophole-driven life." - Dan Barker "he means it only in its secondary usage. “It’s not about you,” he preaches. It’s all about God. He believes you have no say in your own purpose. “His purpose for your life predates your conception,” Warren confidently informs us, speaking about the specific deity depicted in his holy book. “He planned it before you existed, without your input! You may choose your career, your spouse, your hobbies, and many other parts of your life, but you don’t get to choose your purpose.” Warren is exactly right, if you think the Christian scriptures are true. The New Testament tells Christians that they have no purpose of their own: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”10 Jesus reportedly said: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”1" - Dan Barker "You are a hammer. A wrench. A pair of pliers. Warren then insults atheists by insisting that those of us who do not hold his beliefs lead empty lives: “Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope.”13 What planet is Reverend Warren living on? It seems…he hasn’t met many atheists. He doesn’t know that hundreds of millions of good people do not “begin with God,” do not believe in a god, yet live full meaningful lives. We are not the ones with the problem! We are alive. We think it is sad that so many human beings pretend to have no purpose of their own, that they are so willing to “die to themselves” (as the bible commands), submitting to someone else’s plan for their lives." - Dan Barker "It is directed from outside your own life. “Whatever you do,” Paul also wrote, “do all to the glory of God.”15 Christians are toddlers who simply do what the parent says, “bringing every thought into captivity unto the obedience of Christ.”16 (The next time someone tells you there is freedom in Christ, read that verse to them. Whatever “captivity” is, it is not freedom.) In Christianity, the ultimate purpose is to glorify and worship the master, not to live or enjoy your own life. Even good works—which you would think should be aimed at the recipients of charity—are ultimately focused on the majesty of the heavenly father: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”17 The biblical writers were shameless about this redirection of purpose: “If I was trying to please men,” Paul wrote, “I would not be a slave of Christ." - Dan Barker "What is wrong with this picture? We normally detest a person who claims to own and control other human beings, so why do we think it is admirable when God does it? Because might makes right? Why do we honor that which we naturally despise? If you were a god, would you actually want others to bow down and kiss your feet? And what would the rest of us think of you? If there actually exists a praise-thirsty deity like the bible describes, then why should we worship him? Because he is the big boss and he demands it? Because if you don’t put your hands together and tell him how great he is you will be sent down into the basement? Would you rather watch a movie about loyal captive subjects in the service of their omnipotent master, or a movie about a slave revolt? Which would be more exciting? What characters would you root for and sympathize with? So, why just a movie? Why not make your own life a slave revolt?" - Dan Barker "Asking, “If there is no God, what is the purpose of life?” is like asking, “If there is no Master, whose slave will I be?” If the purpose of life is to become a submissive slave, then your meaning comes from flattering the ego of a person whom you should despise." - Dan Barker "Here is the good news we atheists offer to the world: There is no purpose of life. It may sound counterintuitive, but that is truly great news! Life is its own reward. You should not want there to be a purpose of life. You are not a subject. You don’t have an assignment to live up to. You don’t have a cosmic task to accomplish. You don’t have a duty to fulfill. You are not being managed or judged by an overlord. Unshackled from the chains of a master, you are truly free to live…" - Dan Barker

The Truth concerning REV. 13.
ATTENTION !!!
The video below shows the facts concerning Rev. 13.
Don't neglect nor deny this TRUTH, for if you do... it will bring you into eternal condemnation and hellfire, 2 death, which is the lake of fire and brimstone.
Share this video with all christians that you can reach ! To save them !
This Video proves that the RFID-chip is 666.
Leave those churches, that deny this fact,
or are not willing to show this video to their churchmembers... or to warn them.. or who keep doubting this fact after having seen this video,  for they are deceived and lead by deceivers and not by holy men of God or women of GOD. If they remain stubborn or start to demand things of you to obey them more than GOD’s word in this, than please remember Acts 4.
Those UNFAITHFULL AND unbelievers will be connected to the AI- Beast-system via the RFID-chip in their right hand or forehead, and will be thrown, by Gods holy angels, in the second death - the lake of brimstone and fire, where they will sufer in all eternity ! Rev, 14 ; 6-13.
Leave the Whore Babylon, who rides the Beast-system. Rev. 17+18.
The religions are ... lead by satan and are the cause/leaders of the Beast-system... and their false prophet(s) / leaders will make people/their followers to celebrate/venerate/dignify/ exalt/worship the Image of the Beast : The Artificial Intelligence ( AI) - robots, like Sophia ( = satanic wisdom/ intelligence to take over all of humanity). Read Rev 13.
Jesus says : He who wants to follow Me, has to pick up his cross every day and to deny himself every day... and has to be willing to suffer for My sake and because of Our words and our heavenly Kingdom. He who loves his father, mother, wife or children more than Me, is not worthy to enter the Kingdom of heaven. I AM. (Prophecy 19.10.2018.)
YHWH GOD says : Thou shall not have other gods before Me, nor shall thou make an image/idol in the form of anything that is in heaven above... or on the earth beneath... or in the waters below. Thou shal not bow down before them nor celebrate/venerate/dignify/exalt/worship them nor pray to them. For I, YHWVH-GOD / YHWH-GOD AM a jealous GOD, punishing the idolaters and their children for their sins and the sins of their fathers, for rejecting ME and My Son and Our words... and choosing the mark of the Beast and the number and the name of the Beast. I will punish them in the lake of fire and brimstone in all eternity... as is written in Rev. 14 ; 6-13. I, YHWH GOD, AM. ( Prophecy 19.10.2018. )
Don't allow anyone to rob you from the first love to Him and to the will of God.
God wants/seeks worshippers, who exalt/worship HIM in Spirit and TRUTH and obedience to His words... and not exalters/worshippers of men or of animals or of statues or of idols or of comfort/money/luxury/evil lusts or Mammon or of other gods or goddesses or of AI or blockchain or a digital world of lies, betrayal and all kinds of evil and wickedness and of denial of GOD or Jesus Christ... or of resistence  towards God or His holy will or mockery of GOD or blasphemy.
Warn one-another ! And be on guard !  And take care of one-another NOW... and in future days of temptations and trials or persecution.
GOD bless you all... and may give you all abundance of grace to do HIS WILL !!! To His glory and the Glory of His name and Son Y.H.W.H. and their work of salvation and grace. Amen. Hallelu-YHWH. Amen.

ATTENTIE !!!
Opb. 17 +18.
D.d. 19.10.2018.
