mom and i found a bunch of walnut trees near the river so that’s exciting for fall we get to have walnuts my favourite nut. also check this out when u put bleach on the otherwise yellow stain that unripe nuts have it turns red isn’t that wild

#my mom loves taking walks around the neighbourhood and every time i go with her we go to the river and we find new stuff #last time we ate mulberries off the tree :)#i love teaching her about nature and foraging its so fun #im pretty sure these r eastern black walnuts but i dunno for sure #i remember when we lived in the country we had a big tree in our backyard and it would stain everything red/brown when the nuts fell #i love natural dyes sooo much i need to get into that stuff fr. its soo much work tho #flora and fauna #there isnt really any point to this post im just having fun and hanging out. chatting
