I live way off on an island, and the creatures here are so weird. People keep talking about "cats" or "birds" but I have no idea what they mean. Could you explain?

Birds, I am not super knowledgeable about, but I'm pretty sure they're some kind of biped. And I'm happy to show you my cat if that would help!

Most cats have pointy ears and a tail, but my cats tail is especially long and fluffy. He spends most of the day grooming himself or sleeping. He curls up like a croissant when he sits, and he likes to pounce on balls of yarn and to sleep in cardboard boxes and in precarious and absurd positions.

Cats will do anything for a piece of fish, but it can hard to teach them tricks. It's not that they don't understand what you're asking; they just aren't always sure they care. And my boy can be pretty aloof, but when he does want affection, he starts to do this wheezy sleepy breathing to summon you to his side. Then, when you pet him, he wheezes in time with each stroke. I love it when my cat purrs for me.

Usually, once he's decided he's done getting loved on, he'll either stop purring to officially dismiss you or he'll wander off to gaze out the window. But sometimes, getting petted reminds him that, deep down inside, he is actually a wild creature! When he remembers this, he likes to roll onto his back and thrash around and rake the air with his back claws and make silly noises.

Which eventually makes him sleepy again, but any sign of gentleness is embarrassing when he's in wild mode, so as a compromise, everyone has to touch his mouth and teeth and exposed throat/belly while commenting on what a fearsome beast he is and how we are all in terrible, terrible danger from his powerful jaws and wild boy ways. This will usually lull him back to sleep.

I did grow up with dogs, so it's been an adjustment to live with a cat, but I love him! We're teaching each other new things every day 🥰

October 27…..today we went to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, which is a fancy name for a zoo. We saw lots of crocs and were able to pet a Koala. They are so cute and soft. They sleep about 18-20 hours a day because they have little energy. They only eat eucalyptus leaves, which are very fibrous and poisonous. It takes them ages to chew and they come out like little pellets. The poison in the leaves makes their meat taste terrible so they are usually not eaten. We saw kangaroos, pademelons, wombats and lots of birds. We took a boat ride, which really reminded me of Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise!!! It was too theme parky for me and I would prefer to see these animals in the wild, but the world is changing, tourism is booming and more and more places & animals are being protected. We left there and got back to the hotel about 1:30pm. Charlie and I walked down the street for lunch which was a caesar salad and pizza. We had the afternoon free but there’s nothing much to do here. We are in Palm Cove which is down the coast from Cairns. We opted to go up to our room and put our feet up. The shopping here is crappy Karen, so sad! I’m using my Travelon purse and the lining of one of the outside pockets has ripped out. I might just leave it in New Zealand along with a pair of old tennis shoes that are ruined from the red dirt here. Dinner was at a restaurant called Vivo, and it was delicious!! Pics above. I do not have any pets, but I want a doggo so mother fucking bad! I just love them so much. I would get a Schnauzer cause they're the best and I guess my love of beards extends past just human men 😂 I think my other favs would be wild birds! cuz they pretty

Let's do both! Favorite HP book I'm gonna say HBP. I went to a book release for that one, stayed up reading for almost eight hours and in the morning my friend who went to the release with me texted me and told me that Dumbledore dies. I was PISSED. But it was still a great book. As for HP film I'm gonna go with the first one. It was downright magical to see the wizarding world come to life and I'll never forget the first time I saw it.

My favorite color is Purple!

Favorite food....This changes every damn day, but tonight I'm going with Sushi. I'm craving it. And chocolate cake. And more wine.

Favorite type of music is probably Folk.

Aw what I love most about Omi??? How do I pick just one thing?! I like that he really is a snake. If you anger him or threaten him or a loved one, he WILL strike with complete accuracy and tear you to bits in a wonderfully not obvious way. But if he likes you he will be so sweet and loves to be near you. I know I'm more of a Sebastian girl, but Ominis is such a great man in the complete opposite way, and when I stop and think about, it is truly wonderful. And now I'm feeling sappy and I want Ominis to hold me. 🥰

I'd love to share my thoughts! I hope this is well received and I'd love to give more of my HCs for the boys in the future!

Marko as a dad 💚

Everyone kind of underestimates Marko's potential as a parent. He's often seen as the wild, unpredictable one, so when the idea of him having kids comes up, there's a sense of doubt.

But to everyone's surprise, the best qualities in Marko shine through when he learns he's going to be a father. He's always been so loyal, doting and ready to be there for his friends, and he'd do the same for his child in a heartbeat. And that also applies to the situation BEFORE they're born.

Anything his partner needs or wants, they'll get with no questions asks. Have a very specific food craving? He'll have it ready in mere minutes. Can't get comfortable? He'll make the coziest nest you've ever seen. Need some supplies for the baby? He's got bags and bags of food, clothes, diapers, and anything else you need. Just don't expect him to actually buy the stuff. He's still a little thief at heart.

When his child is born, he's immediately in love. Like he would 1000% walk into the sunlight for his kid, even if they're only a few minutes old. He soothes them so sweetly and promises to keep them safe.

While it's very sweet, he's also a bit territorial with his child. Even with his own friends he's hesitant to let them hold the baby. After his fears are settled, Marko will let the others have turns spending time with the little one.

Only family and friends are allowed near his kid. If Marko doesn't like you, you're NOT getting near them.

The others tease that he's more of a guard dog than a dad. But with time and trust, Marko learns not to hover so much.

Despite being protective, he's definitely a fun dad!! He's the kind of parent that thinks kids should enjoy playing in the dirt, going on adventures and taking some risks.

He's also quite creative, so if his kid likes coloring books or arts and crafts, he's right by their side, making something special together.

Is definitely the parent that saves every single piece of art their kids make in school. Does he need to hold onto every stick figure drawing his child makes? No. Is he gonna do it anyway? YES.

If his kid is into sports, he's their biggest fan. Since they're vampires, his kid only plays during nighttime. No matter what it is, he's on the sidelines, cheering the loudest!

Is big on teaching his child to care for animals. He shows off his pet pigeons to them and let's them know how to handle the birds with care.

Definitely on board with getting his kid a pet. Dog, cat, bird, fish, it doesn't matter. Whatever makes them happy.

Another thing he's surprisingly great at is teaching his child valuable lessons. Like "treat others the way you want to be treated" or "it's okay to cry if you're feeling sad". Even his friends are surprised to see him act so wise.

PRIDE DAD🏳️‍🌈

YOU BET YOUR ASS HE'D BE THE COOL DAD THAT TAKES HIS KID TO A PRIDE EVENT. No cops at pride, just the Lost Boys.

He'd teach his child about the different flags and what they all mean, encourage them to learn more about the community, and to be respectful of everyone's identity and pronouns.

What I mean is that he's definitely getting his kid a jacket of their own, and sewing on any patch they want. Maybe he'd even teach them how to sew as well.

He'd also encourage his kid to express themselves however they want with fashion. He's been around so long that he doesn't worry or care about stuff like who wears pink and who wears blue. So he's supportive no matter what.

Same goes for haircuts and makeup!

Now don't get me wrong, he's definitely a sweet kind of dad. But he's still a wild child at heart, and he's letting that rub off on his own baby.

He teaches his child how nazis deserve to be punched in the face, that cops aren't your friends and that privileged people in power try to keep down those who are poor, POC, or a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

In a way, Marko encourages his child to be a vigilante of some sort. Taking down those who think they can mistreat those who don't deserve it.

If his kid gets into a fight, he's either tagging in to help or defending them so they don't get in trouble.

When teaching his kid how to use their powers, he's encouraging them to be ruthless with their kills. Leave no survivors and enjoy your meal.

He also does a bit of combat training. Deep down, he's terrified that someone is going to hurt his baby, even if they've got powers to defend themselves. He just wants to do whatever he can to keep them safe.

Marko isn't the best with discipline. He loves trouble-making and being a bit chaotic, so unfortunately, his partner will have to be the "strict" one.

However, if his kid does something where they're potentially in danger, THEN he'll give them a serious talking to.

"I told you not to go with strangers! You could have gotten hurt! I was worried sick!"

He's worried about his baby.

Oh yeah, God help anyone who hurts his baby. They WILL die, and it will be painfully slow.

Now I personally HC him as being Italian and also Jewish (in honor of Alex Winter's faith). DISCLAIMER: I'm not Jewish myself. However, I believe whatever important teachings or stories he wants to share with his child would be done in great detail. He'd share details about his heritage and culture, teaching his child Italian and Hebrew as best as he can.

((Side note: If anyone out there does in fact practice Judaism, I would love to get your thoughts on how Marko would relate to it. I want to be as respectful as possible and learn whatever I can!))

Overall, Marko is an amazing father. He's devoted to his baby every step of the way. He's not perfect, but what parent is?

Would be referred to as "Avi" by his kid. (meaning 'My father' in Hebrew)

Favorite nickname for his kid would be "Bambino/a" (meaning 'little child' or 'baby' in Italian)

Ahhhh I love it! @whitehawkdragon is aware that if I was left to my own devices our house would be filled with animals. We’re the most restrained we’ve ever been with just the dog and the cat. But with two young children soon to be here, I think the other animals can wait a little 😅 I really hope to get a snake, a ferret/pole cat, or a parrot a little later in life 🥰

I’ve kept things from fish, to salamanders (and crickets), to birds, to hamsters. I love em all. It always makes me smile to see other people have the opportunity to make their homes a little bigger and a little more wild with happy healthy pets 🥰

My non-fish pets are:

One crested gecko

Three leopard geckos

Four European medicinal leeches

Seven African clawed frogs

A tank full of beetles and mealworms (they’re not really pets, since they’re just food for the geckos, but I guess they still count)

In addition to those, I have five fish tanks and a pond which contain:

Three betta fish

Four angelfish

Two hatchetfish (I started with 10 but sadly I fucked up and all but two died :(

Ten black neon tetras

Five or six kuhli loaches (they’re hard to keep track of)

Two red-tailed sharks

Three gold barbs

Two rose danios

Six peppered Cory catfish

One dwarf gourami

One gardneri killifish

Lots of snails (some intentionally purchased from a pet store and some accidentally brought in on plants)

Five koi (down from seven last summer due to a toxic algae bloom)

At least 10 goldfish (they are also hard to keep track of)

The pond also contains lots of bluegills, frogs, tadpoles, newts and other wild animals that aren’t technically my pets but live in my pond

I sort of co-own a fancy goldfish named Honey, she was originally mine but after my other fancy goldfish died I gave her to a friend but still help take care of her

And my mom has a dog
