a whole fic dedicated to just Paperwork would probably be boring (unless someone like me wrote it. i can make watching paint dry funny and THAT'S A PRETZEL PROMISE) but i do love random references to it especially whenever the Paperwork gets really fucking specific bc it can tell you a lot about either/both the character doing the work and/or the author writing them, especially how they perceive the mechanics of Work or what that specific work entails. maybe it's the fact that both my biodad and current dad do a lot of that crap (1 was a lawyer the other is an accountant for a shoe factory) and also i'm a humanities-trained currently-unemployed itinerant wizardjester but i do love dissecting mundane shit so much
