and after that Noah brought him caffe latte but without whip cream or additional sweetness and Yoojin decidedly thinking the liked the one Hyeonje gave him after the negotiation with Japanese guild better? even though Yoojin didn’t ask for whip cream and complained that it was "too sweet" but somehow Hyeonje knew better than him that he did like sweets.

then he smiled at Yoojin at the pool, knowing he didn't quite like the caffe latte brought by Noah because it was too bitter.

and I'm thinking if Hyeonje analyzed it through the desserts Yoojin selected when they first met at Seseong Guild's rooftop?

like Yoojin didn't say it, but he chose the sweeter cakes and biscuits.. and so Hyeonje wrote it on his mental note which flavors Yoojin like/dislike even when Yoojin didn't realize it himself.

The self-proclaimed fairy dragon spun slowly once in my palm to display himself. Appearance-wise… he clearly did look like Gyeol. I felt sorry for Gyeol, but what Sung Hyunje-ssi said wasn’t entirely wrong. And now that he had fairy wings, his nonsense actually sounded somewhat plausible.

“So that’s…!”

Kang Soyoung cried out in awe and astonishment. Her expression went through a number of complex changes for a moment, but then she quickly calmed down and nodded firmly.

“I understand everything now.”

…Really? That was all it took?

“It all makes sense. It’s perfect. Yes! I love Sesung Guild and our Guildmaster!” Soyoung-ssi shouted with eyes full of guild pride…

Was this really okay? Sung Hyunje-ssi, didn’t you feel guilty at all? We did need to finish this mission and get out quickly, but this seemed too shameless.

hjyj always roleplaying as some sort of romance drama soap opera and its endlessly funny. i dont think they are aware of it themselves and i dont think they could even stop doing it. one minute hyunjae is ripping yoojin's shirt off because he suspects that yj is carrying his child (he is) all while yj fervently denies it (female lead running away from love interest while pregnant with his child cliche) and the next minute hj is cooking yj and his kid an elaborate feast while hj himself eats bread with strawberry jam (lonely suburb housewife story cliche). they do this without even rehearsing.
