In the Shadow!Roach au I imagine before roach's "death" he and ghost were an iconic duo. They got shit done. ((You have given me so much brain rot))

yessss my god they were probably unstoppable together, and considering how Ghost likely did not get on well with other recruits before Roach came along, it probably meant that once Ghost started to open up and trust Roach, it would've led to them being such an efficient and deadly duo.

They definitely would've learnt each others' moves and understood how the other thought and planned. Like they def knew each other like the back of their hands. And just imagine how Ghost copes with suddenly losing the one person he'd opened himself up to. Roach probably became a constant pillar of familiarity and support for Ghost, and suddenly losing that would feel so emptying for him :')

And them being such an iconic team was what probably prompted Shepherd to recruit Roach into his own militia. Roach would be like, the perfect soldier to go against the 141.
