just got my prescription updated at a new place and the optometrist told me a lot of new info about my eyes i wish i knew before.

so apparently, i have pretty large pupils. did not know people could have different sized pupils! (but i guess everything varies so it makes sense) AND!! i also have retinas that are VERY low in pigment!! you can see a whole fucking forest of blood vessels in there wtf

soooooo:

very light green eyes + very large pupils + very low-pigmented retinas = SO SO SO much light let into my eyes all the time

no wonder ive been getting daily eyestrain headaches my whole life 😭
