One unexpected side effect of working on this writing project is learning a lot about where different fruits and vegetables are originally from and how expensive they were throughout history. Today I learned that artichokes were an Ancient Roman delicacy. That's so cool. King of the vegetables indeed. Anyway in my setting they grow them in Castinea, where Verida and a couple of other characters are from.
