#i love Eddie but man. MAN. that series and its follow-up mini really pissed me off sometimes

Rolling around post-Venom 3 fic ideas and like. (Spoilers below cut)

I'm realizing that what I want to write is basically Flash doing for Eddie, what I wish Eddie had done for Flash post-Space Knight. In both instances the symbiote is forcibly separated from a host it loves and admires, and circumstances drive it to a different person. Its choice is taken away by an outside influence.

To this day I still find the way that Eddie and the Symbiote rejoined in Venom 2016 #6 to be borderline nonsensical. I know it's been nearly 8 years but I'm still mad about it. Lee Price happening meant that the Symbiote more or less just had to go with whoever would help it first. That just so happened to be Eddie.

And in all these years, they STILL haven't properly addressed the breakup of the early to mid aughts.

But I suppose, what is fanfic but wish fulfillment. I can have Flash do for Eddie what Eddie never did for Flash.
