#i lobe interpreting things about headspace

posturing some headspace lore here so bear with me. i’m replaying omori currently and after talking to branch coral i think i kind of like the idea that ��the favorite” who is constantly watching and “waiting for something to happen” is represented not only by the big yellow cat but also mewo.

basil/stranger can’t enter white space anymore (even though it seems like they could in the past). the wisest can’t enter white space. the oldest can’t enter white space. but the favorite can. he watches over the dreamer’s most precious rooms: neighbors room, neighbors bedroom, and white space. he’s always taking care of the dreamer.

which makes the blackspace room where you have to cut open mewo, and are mocked with the line “waiting for something to happen” so much worse.
