so, fun story, within DAYS of making this post i caught a nasty cough at work that i’m still trying to get rid of (💀 the start of the school year releases every illness imaginable upon the city, it’s a petri dish in there, not even considering covid) and i have been eating so much soup, frankly an obscene amount of soup, specifically miso soup so i thought i’d share tonight’s soup on the soup post: we got miso soup with oyster mushrooms tofu and wakame. very good, quick and easy, tasty tasty, good for me will cure me (maybe)

#i genuinely sound like i smoke several packs a day like it’s nasty its slowly getting better… slowly. i might go to the doctor next week#if its still not great but its esspensive sooooooo even with insurance#september really has been my soup month though even if by#coincidence#I have soup almost every day ive prollt had 10 gallons of soup so there is a silver lining here#pro miso soup tip for the lazy#i like to use the tj ginger miso broth as part of the soup stock#it add a nice flavor profile with the light gonger that otherwise you would have to pay actual attention to to soup to get#but yeah half ginger miso broth half water 1/2 packet of bonito dashi stock tablespoon + miso#and your soup add ins#the thing that takes the longest is cutting the tofu and its 5 secs#like 3 mins total of active time and then u just heat it up and eat it instant meal#and if u make it in ur rice cooker like me#you can just leave it on the warm setting and have perfect soup all day#eventually the wakame#will get a#little slimy but the soup wont boil on thr warm setting so it’s really more#of a very soft texture so not even that bad#anyways#hope ya’ll have also been enjoying your september soups#in a less forceful#way 😭
