What are your Headcanons for the Black butler character's and for your Oc's?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please enjoy one of my favorite scenes from all of the openings as thanks
I will take any chance to talk about my child, let’s go. First though, some CC Headcanons. I’m going to focus on the Reapers for now, but it’s still going to be quite a long one. CW: this one gets dark every now and then. I talk about suicide quite a bit.
To start, I have this general Headcanon that when they aren’t using their scythes, the Reapers store them as jewelry and the like. The item itself doesn’t transform, but lets them to summon it magical-girl style.
Also, I made this, so enjoy. Tier list of who I think would win in a 1v1 match.
Grell Sutcliff
Ohohohohoho…. I am so excited to talk about my wife, let me tell you!
I like to believe her hair is naturally red, it’s just another nice similarity between her and Angelina.
As a human, she had a younger sister named Ember. They used to be 5 years apart- Grell was older- but Ember is in her late sixties now and…
Grell died at 23. It was a small funeral that was only really attended by a few close friends and her sister. Neither of her parents attended.
It’s a pretty common headcanon, but I believe that she bled to death. I don’t think that she was a stranger to self harm, and it eventually killed her.
I’m trying really hard to put these in chronological order but let’s jump back a few years. There were only a few people that she was closed to as a human.
There was the barkeep that kept her employed in downtown London, a kind man with knowing eyes, her upstairs neighbor, who always gave away clothes no longer worn by her or her two daughters, and, yet again, her younger sister. They made up the majority of the crowd at her funeral.
Back to some happy things, she was a bartender! This idea makes me really happy and I love it so much and it’s kinda hot and I think it fits her pretty well.
This one is going to seem crazy. But I have this very specific idea of what her favorite color it. #d90d32 is a deep red with a hint of purple mixed in. Colors are very important to me, okay?
Back to the idea of scythes being ‘stored’ in jewelry, hers is her glasses chain. Without the chain, she can’t summon or store her scythe!
Not back to another human thing, her eyes were green. Kinda like a dark emerald green, if you can picture that.
As for ships, I have a lot of Grell ships. My favorites are Sebagrell (sometimes), Grellron, Grellthello, Grellrin, Greric, and Grellronilliam. I also ship Grell/Ron/Eric/Will/Alan, but I don’t think it has a name.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. No one who wears a long coat is straight. Wearing a trench coat or trench-adjacent coat just makes you a Bisexual
I just finished writing this but I had an idea. I love Jun Furukawa, but I’m not sold that he’s the best VA for Grell. I was thinking who might be better, but I could never come up with anything. Until now. Aoi Shota should voice Grell. Im tired. Goodnight, think about it, and your realise that I’m not only right but the smartest person in the world.
Ronald Knox
I know it doesn’t make sense, but I love the idea of him being, like, barely 18, maybe even younger depending on the fic. Listen, it’s my headcanon and I get to be as unrealistic as I want.
That, or he’s 20, maybe 21 at most.
Unlike Grell, I think that he does die his hair. His natural color is the dark brown.
For his scythe, I like to think it might be the expensive watch he has. Speaking of the watch, I believe that it was a gift that was given to him when he was a human.
After he becomes a full-fledged Reaper, I think he could be one of the really good ones. He’s been trained by Grell for who knows how long, and she’s one of the best at combat that we know of.
Pansexual Ron is canon in my heart. Let him kiss boys and girls…,..,.,.,,,.,.,.,
Grellron and Ronilliam are good. I really gotta capitalize on that Pan headcanon, though, so I’ll mention Grellronilliam one more time.
Just thought of it now, but Demiboy Ronald Knox.
William T. Spears
I refuse to believe that Grell couldn’t beat him in a duel. Same with Eric. He could beat Ron or Alan, though. Undertaker would probably destroy him.
He’s probably anywhere from 28-32, biologically, at least.
As a human, I think he was probably just a face in the crowd, just another worker. His previous (unimportant) job eventually led him to suicide.
After that, he fell victim to the same monotonous lifestyle that had ended his previous chance. I think there’s a lot of irony in this idea, and I love exploring it in my works.
Othello
NB Othello, NB Othello, NB Othello, NB Othello, NB Othello. It’s my comfort character and I get to self project however much I want! He/They Othello, next question.
They were a scientist as a human, too. I assume you need some sort of prior knowledge to become a scientist in the afterlife. As for his field, I’m stuck between engineering and an early form of genetics/nursing.
Okay, now this is one of those ideas that I half love half hate, and it’s about a possible seiyuu for Othello. Please keep in mind that this doesn’t take info consideration the different agencies and studios and all that. The reason I hate this is because I’m not the hugest fan of the anime. The movies are great, the manga is amazing, and the musicals are fucking fantastic. But, I’m not the biggest fan of the anime. Tangent but out of all three seasons three is the best and two is the worst, one is just OK. At first, I liked the idea of Jun Fukuyama because I think he did great and Shinra in Durarara, but then I remembered that he already voices Grell so I decided to go with Eguchi Takuya. Saito Soma and Ono Kensho were my other ideas, but Eguchi Takuya I think fits Othello the most.
I’m 50/50 on whether or not he dies his hair. I’m leaning towards it being natural, purely because of how much of a pain in the ass it is to have green hair. I’ve dyed my hair every color of the rainbow and green was my least favorite. It fades super quickly and you gotta get lucky for it to look good. Either way, they pull it off pretty well.
There is so many good Othello ships! Grellthello and Underthello both have a special place in my heart, though. Ronthello is a dirty pleasure, too.
Othello’s age varies the most out of all of them, in my mind. One of my notes says I was writing him as 31, but while typing this I was going to say, like, 25.
Alan Humphries
I had to summon 2019 me to come up with this one, but a good Japanese VA for him would be Ishikawa Kaito or, again, Saito Soma. Or Matsumoto Shinya, but that seemed liked cheering.
His scythe- in my HC- is his bolo tie, a graduation gift from Grell.
Alan Humphries is Gay. Unless I feel like shipping Grell/Ron/Eric/Alan/Will, then I’ll write him as Bi.
When he first woke up as a Reaper, he had to relearn how to walk. He had been sick as a human, too, and forgot most of that sort of stuff. Luckily, Eric was there to help him, and it was the start of his crush on the other.
He died of… negligence? Purposeful negligence of one’s self? Not taking care of himself and ultimately paying the price, knowing full well he had been sick for a while.
He probably died in his mid/late twenties. I just can’t see him as older than that due to my previous HC of him dying after he gets sick young.
Eric Slingby
If I can’t have Taisuke Saeki, then I want Mamoru Miyano to voice Eric. That’s it, there is no other options that I could come up with.
Slingphries and- I can’t believe I’m dying this- Sebric are the best ships for Eric. That’s it.
Actually, thinking about the seiyuu thing some more, Kishō Taniyama would also be good.
Bisexual-Aromantic!Eric x Gay!Alan
As a human, I think his eyes would have been blue. Also appearance-wise, he totally dyes his hair. The blind part is totally bleached.
He and Ron do each other’s hair. It why the colors are so similar, it’s the same product. Othello makes it for them.
I I know that he has the one love piercing but I think he should have more than that. A bridge would look good but it would be a pain with his glasses. Industrial would be cool too, tho. Also, his scythe could be the one piercing he does have.
I normally write him as around 31. But that varies by a bit on a fic-by-fic basis.
I don’t completely understand the Scottish!Eric idea. I know it’s supposed to be based on his last name- Slingby. But, I looked into it, and didn’t find much. Looking up ‘Slingby last name’ and the third result was for his wiki page. Furthermore, in 1881, Slingby wasn’t even most common in Scotland. In fact, I only found 1 mention of a Scottish Slingby, and it’s from Edinburgh, 1367. Also, it’s spelled Slyngsby.
This is a good connector into the next part of my research: the surname Slingsby. The much more popular sibling of Slingby. Except, it’s also not a Scottish name! It’s an English name originating from Yorkshire. There’s also a Norse version that is spelled Selungesbi, which I thought was cool, but not important. There are thousands of public records for Slingsby’s, but only a few hundred Slingby’s.
Now, I really like the idea. I think it’s cool to imagine a Reaper from a different part of England, and how they might have ended up in the London branch. So, I use and enjoy the headcanon, but it’s more than that. I’m also fascinated by how this whole thing started! In the Slingphries fandom (which might as well be a whole separate thing than the rest of the fandom) it’s a really popular thing! I don’t know if I just missed something in my research, or if it really was just one guys idea that spread and spread and spread. Either way, it’s cool, I like it, but it doesn’t have much evidence going for it. I might make a whole post about this later, too.
It also might just be a mistranslation. スリングビー (Suringubī) could be pronounced a number of different ways. Kind of like how Sascha’s name (ザシャ) is pronounced Zāsha in Japanese. Names are weird and difficult to translate, I know from experience.
Undertaker
Don’t think about this one too much (it will stop making sense). I think he killed himself via decapitation. It would explain the one scar along his neck. Not the one on his face, though.
He was blind as a human, which is why he’s able to go without glasses as a Reaper. Even some vision is more than he had been used to before.
I really don’t have that many UT ships, but I’ll list a few that I’ve read and liked. Grelltaker, Underthello, Willtaker, Sebastian/Undertaker.
I also don’t have a whole lot of HCs for him. I probably will once we get a bit more backstory for him, though. Idk, something just seems off about him in the manga so far.
—
And now, it’s time for the child. Here’s a quick refresher:
This is E Foster, a.k.a Edwin, a.k.a Eddelyn, the forever fifteen year old Reaper. As a baby, they’re brought into the Reaper Realm momentarily after one of the Reapers decides to take action and figure out who to give them to after the death of their parents. This small bit of exposure gives them the ability to see the Reapers, an ability that ends up hurting them as they grow up. After killing themself, a new world filled with new people is opened up to them, and it includes a single couple that may or may not get more than what they bargained for when deciding to take in the teen.
If you want to know more- and have a fair bit of time on your hands- read the story I wrote about them a bit ago HERE.
I’m about to spoil a lot of their story, so just be aware.
They’re very close with most of the Reapers featured earlier. Most notable Alan and, by extension, Eric, whom they live with.
This also applies to Grell, who often acts as a sort of mentor to them, and buys them the things she wished she had had when she first transitioned. There’s the binder, for their deathday, their purple hair dye, a few different nail polishes, and some clothes. She reminds them of Amanda, sometimes.
There’s also Will, who they are sent quite as close with, but with whom they are still happy to be around. His tougher shell breaks down around them, and he’s been known to smile in the child’s presence.
She’s also close with Ron, often playing with and learning about all the new technology they now have access to. I didn’t get to write about it much, but Othello is similar to Ron. He teaches them about forensics and all the cool machines the humans haven’t quite discovered yet.
Their adoptive mother, Amanda Carter (Alexander’s older sister) is actually Aroace. She’s an unmarried school teacher in South London.
Their friend Kathy Foster is a lesbian. I implied it heavily, but I’m not actually sure I ever confirmed it. She shares a name with one of the background characters in my Red Angels Series.
He relates the most to Grell and Othello. With Grell, he can talk about how much his gender ended up affecting their overall life, and Othello shares the same medical past as them. Both them and Othello died due to something related to medicines and chemicals.
In the story, I didn’t get to go into detail about the asylum as much as I wanted, but I’ll do it now! That exclamation point is a lie, this is not exciting or happy.
Anyways. She was only 10! 10! They (I) forced a child into a mental asylum at 10! The medications were for fully grown adults, not a small child, which is why they have such a strong effect. Also, as was popular at the time, they were made up of extremely strong street drugs :) how fun!
The average day also included being locked in a room for hours at a time while the doctors and nurses attended to other patients. All the while, they weren’t allowed to see Amanda at all.
Had Amanda survived, I think they still would have OD’d adhering hearing the news about returning to the asylum. The place was too horrible to ever go back to.
At first, Will had been the subject of her nightmares. The man that had killed Amanda and who knows how many tigers. But, after learning more, they start to be able to stand him.
The same way Grell introduces them to Eden (my other OC, a supporting character in the story) in order to teach them about their gender. Ron does the same for their shared bisexuality. I imagine Ron as someone who is very open and honest about it, and E respects his openness and experience.
In conclusion, while I won’t say that the idea started as a way to get Eric and Alan to adopt a child reaper- it was actually supposed to be a huge found family with all the reapers- I also won’t deny that it turned into that towards the end.
Thank you so much for the request; and I’ll be sure to get the rest of my inbox soon ~<3

Chapter 11 - Student Council President Sakura / Graduation Chapter
SCPS AO3 | PREVIOUS CHAPTER
Youtube playlist for your reading accompaniment
They held a run-through of the graduation ceremony on the last day of class and technically the last day of the trio’s high school life. Unlike their first general assembly, Uchiha Sasuke was to deliver the graduation speech but not without great sulking from Haruno Sakura who landed a close second despite ranking first in their final exams.
And obviously, not without Sasuke trying to give up his speech privileges by campaigning instead for Sakura.
In the end, all three of them were granted speech slots – one for Sasuke as valedictorian, Sakura as student representative, and Naruto as the school’s first national MVP. It was this debacle that led the three of them to brainstorm in an empty AVR after the dry run.
“Done!” Sakura yelled like the diligent student she was. “Let me look at yours!”
Sasuke presented her a blank paper while saying, “It’s all prepared in my head”, and Naruto showed her his baseball doodles.
“Oh God, you’re all so hopeless.”
Then the electricity suddenly got cut off in the AVR. Sakura expected the boys to screech in surprise and cling to each other, but she only heard silence in the dark. She jumped in her seat when the doors opened with a loud bang, a confetti splash, and the lights coming back to life.
Sasuke and Naruto were still in front of her, holding two bouquets of irises and yellow roses. Behind them were the old and new student council members with other students holding a large banner saying Thank you, Student Council President Sakura!
She started to leave her seat to come to them, but they gestured for her to stay on her seat. In front of the room, the large monitor beeped and showed a compilation of videos.
Sukehiro Aoi, an alumni and currently an intern in an animation studio. “Hello, Ms. Pres. You once asked the body to submit a publication material for an event of the student council, and I sent mine through a dummy email with no expectations of winning. I wasn’t comfortable with the public seeing my art. I was afraid of the unsolicited remarks so sending it anonymously gave me some relief. You chose it however, and you knew how big a credit was to an artist. I was really scared when you were able to hunt me down just by my watermark, but my name in the info blast caught the attention of a school board member and referred me to this animation studio. It was the littlest thing, but you handed me my dream.”
Watanabe Kota was a year below them. He has a small frame, round thick glasses, and battled with face acne. “Ms. Pres! People never had much confidence in my physical appearance, so I don’t know what you saw in me when you asked me to take over the school radio. But here we are – we’re airing daily and we even produce documentaries and radio programs. Thank you for seeing what I didn’t.”
Ito Amanaya, a typical jock in the football team, muscular and came across as intimidating, but he had the gentlest cadence. “I was bullied by the same group that bullied your dynamic duo. When you ran them off, you also saved my life. Thank you, Haruno.”
Kimura Shinze, a classmate in third year, beautiful, popular, and the captain of the cheering squad. “Hope you’re having a great day, Ms. Pres. Remember that time when the class was guessing who were our crushes and I blurted out that it was a girl, you told me thank you for telling us. That was…a big deal to me. Thank you for that gesture.”
Himurata Aoi, president of the koto club. “Sakura, I know you had many people come up and confessed to you so when I did try, I was glad that you didn’t give me a bullshit reason like you’re not into girls. You turned me down because you have someone you already love. I am thankful for your honesty.”
The biology teacher, Takahashi Kande. “Student council, thank you for your mental health program. As a single father to twins, I don’t have the luxury of time to sit in a couch and sort out my issues. To be able to do that in my workplace during breaks is a heaven-sent gift. You saved me and my family. Thank you.”
Many more messages came on, from a classmate she lent spare change to, from a staff she helped clean, from countless students who she wasn’t aware she gave kindness to.
“Why….” She asked breathlessly.
“You’ve been beating yourself lately. We thought you needed some reminding,” Sasuke muttered, under his breath, the bouquet still in his hands. “You left some pretty big footprints, Ms. Pres.
“You might not have noticed,” Naruto jested. “But this is always innate and natural to you, isn’t it?”
“Why did you bother so much?” She was reduced to tears.
“It was Naruto’s idea.”
“Huh? You did all the compiling though!”
“Shut up, it was me,” yelled the current president.
“Thank you, everyone.”
--------------------------------
It was a weekend, but Sasuke requested Sakura and Naruto to meet him at the school gates. He only gave the time and place, and he knew well enough that they would be there – no questions asked.
They stood there, minutes earlier than planned, a first but nothing more unusual than homebody Sasuke asking them to go out on a weekend. Sakura wore an oversized rust shirt over a pair of muted cotton blue trousers tied with a brown leather belt and tan fisherman sandals, her long hair kept in one single braid at the back. Naruto probably expected a fancy lunch with his outfit – black silky long sleeves over gray pants and black loafers.
Sasuke, high on impulsive decisions, wore bright colors, a complete departure from his usual neutrals; mustard vest over a deep violet polo, baggy pants, off white converse, and a white fanny pack. “Well, we’re mostly dressed for comfort, except for that idiot beside you.”
“What do you mean dressed for comfort? I borrowed these loafers from my vice-captain and my feet aren’t used to them,” Naruto whined. “Besides, aren’t you taking us out to a five-star meal, Mr. Valedictorian?”
“Wow, what a way to show off.” Sakura pursed her lips in annoyance. “Don’t worry Naruto, I got your next café order.”
“Ah no. It was just something we heard from the grape vine.” Naruto scratched his head and carefully glanced at Sasuke. “Grumpy got his trust fund today.”
In bated breaths, they waited for him to respond with a scowl or a retort, but he just nodded. “Come on, we’ll miss the train.”
They traveled for three stations and disembarked on the fourth, Sasuke sandwiched in between the two, his shoulders pillows again to their heads and yet such burdens were light as cotton. The surfacing emotions since last week were taking hold of him, but he needed to pull through somehow because breaking down while commuting was one thing he did not really see doing.
“Word just got in. The house was turned over this morning,” Itachi told him over the phone.
“Impeccable timing when I’m also moving abroad next week.” Sasuke pulled out his Bleachers vinyl and anticipated another lonesome lull for the night.
“Do you miss the cream puffs?”
“Nothing comes close.”
“Hmm. I’ll pay for the rental fee of your car.”
In Itachi’s defense, while he was an afficionado of escapism, he also knew how to read between the lines. “Watch me get a Mercedes-Benz.”
“I have a good driving playlist.” This only meant math rock, and Sasuke wanted something to scream his lungs too.
“Don’t need one.”
“Treat your friends to dinner, okay? Gotta go.”
“We’re walking?!” Naruto almost limped out of the train. Sasuke took one look at his heels and saw that they were bruised red. He took off his converse and socks and gave them to him.
Sakura whipped out a small first-aid kit and covered the rash on Naruto’s heels. “Hey don’t look at me like that. Brought it just in case we’re going on a day survival tour. A camping would be nice too.”
“Did you scrub your feet, idiot?”
“You think so low of me grumpy. Of course – last week!”
With Naruto now comfortable, the three resumed walking on the unfamiliar residential area. Sasuke gestured for them to enter a bamboo forest on the far side of the main road. Hidden in the shadows of the clumped stalks were a small opening, the growth hampered and ground rid of grasses and weeds; many people have also chosen this shortcut, walked through the forest, did a little nature bathing, and emerged behind the bakery, still there, still standing, still operating.
Sasuke tapped on the large glass window cum counter on the front and bought three sets of cream puffs.
“Oh, it’s you,” the old baker greeted. “You brought your friends over? You always buy one set.”
Sasuke offered her a smile, briefly glancing to his periphery where Sakura was fussing with Naruto’s feet, and nodded as he accepted the paper bag. “It’s on the house, kid.”
“You brought us to stalk someone’s house?” Sakura dug in one paper bag, bit the puff in one bite, and with full mouth, she sighed. “This is heaven.”
“It’s our old family house, before the accident that is.” Sasuke also took out one puff and munched on it, ruminating on the sight before him, a two-story house with an imposing façade, his mom’s climbing hydrangea gone and cut by the new owners, beds of roses and daisies already withered, but the wisteria tree on the vacant lot beside continued to grow and shade what he supposed were the children’s rooms. It was in his third bite that he saw the tomato fruits he planted, alive and full with harvest. “Do you think my parents know?”
Naruto slid an arm across his shoulder and grinned sheepishly. “Then they would be happy ghosts or maybe they would voluntarily move away to give the new owners the opportunity to make it a happy a home like yours.
“What part are you gonna miss?” Sakura asked, halfway through her set of puffs.
“The sight of the wisteria before I sleep and after I wake up, and the sunlight in my parents’ room. My dad liked to make these suncatchers for my mom. The play of light was a good morning greeting, she said.”
“What’s your funniest memory?” Naruto sat on the grass, uncaring for the stains that would taint his good pair of pants.
“It was probably Christmas when I was seven, and Itachi had this big idea to bake a cake, but he swapped the sugar for the salt and we were wondering why it wouldn’t make a custard. Our parents still ate it, saying it was a very salty version of dark chocolate cake.”
“It was a good home,” Sakura patted the space between her and Naruto and Sasuke sat down cross-legged too, dipping his hand on the paper bag with the last cream puff.
“It was a good home,” Sasuke agreed as he bit into the last vestige of his family memory. He was suckling the powdered sugar off his fingers when he realized he was already crying, and the two were downright sobbing on his either side.
Such an embarrassing sight to see; he wondered what would the new owners feel if they looked out their windows this instant and saw three teenagers breaking down on the road across. It was honestly stupid and laughable to a point, considering how funny it was for grief to become lighter when someone else cried with him.
Naruto was sniffling so much that he had to offer his handkerchief to him. “I forgot to tell you guys. Hinata confessed to me during the cultural festival.”
“Oh my god. What did you say?” Sakura took a tissue out of her bag and dabbed her eyes. She flashed an apologetic look to Sasuke who already offered his hanky to Naruto’s fluids.
“Ah, what else? I had to reject her.” Naruto sneezed on Sasuke’s handkerchief again. “I told her I was in love with someone else.” He slyly glanced at his raven-haired friend and pursed his lips which Sakura quickly caught.
“Who is it?”
“Sasuke also likes someone.”
“Shut your mouth, blondie. Point is already moot. Besides, we’ve already been rejected.”
“Who are these people and why don’t I know them?” Sakura genuinely looked offended. “I could have vetted them!”
“Exactly why it was fortunate you didn’t meet them,” Sasuke said as an excuse though he pegged Sakura for not being that naïve. She, thankfully, let it go and gathered their trash. She dropped the bomb as she was brushing the grass blades from her trousers. “My parents are divorcing. Such a travesty not to have them show up on graduation day, and I thought I did a great job.”
The two, ever so sure, held onto her hands in case she was trembling again.
“Let’s get that five-star dinner,” Sasuke suggested, “and we need to rent a Mercedes-Benz.”
--------------------------------
Graduation Day
“Let’s welcome to the stage, class valedictorian, Uchiha Sasuke.” Kakashi was the officiating faculty today so she expected difficulty going through the event, but for some reason, he slipped into her mental back burner, no longer taking up room in her active consciousness. That was a good step, she smiled to herself. Her smile became wider as Sasuke got up the stage.
His fans club’s cheers were heard outside the auditorium, and the graduating class chuckled at the quick interruption. He cleared his throat and started his piece.
“Please get it on record that I was coerced to do this speech. Then again, I also had a hand on the turn of events that led me here today, in front of you. And it’s a little too on the nose, but I came to high school with a clear set of goals – have high grades and lead an uninteresting life. I accomplished the first one rather easily, and it’s a good metric for the future that’s upon us right now. Good grades land us good colleges. Good colleges land us good jobs. Good jobs land us good life.
But it’s not the sole benchmark as I have learned lately. You see, my second goal really missed the mark. Good life can also mean good friends, fun experiences, a caring environment, a complete family. If you ticked off each one, then that’s very notable. You have the four-leaf clover, and it’s a rare blessing. I only ticked off three, but that goes without any regret. If you only have one silver lining in your high school memory, then that makes us all the more human. And if there’s none, there is still is still a whole stretch of possibilities we can discover to find one. Thank you for your kind attention.”
Sakura was pretty sure she heard several sniffles across the student body. “The bastard delivered a good speech,” she muttered to herself.
“We would like to welcome our first national MVP, Uzumaki Naruto.”
Outside, the school band played the cheering anthem for his last national games. The cheerleaders also did a routine in tribute to him. That made him well up when he got to the podium.
“Wait oh my god, I’m tearing up so much.”
Sasuke grunted loudly and went back the stage to hand him a handkerchief which Naruto quickly used to wipe his snot.
“Thanks Sasuke. How can Kakashi-sensei let me follow after that rousing speech, and before Sakura too. It’s kinda evil.”
Laughter broke out.
“Well, this one’s a bare minimum. I didn’t have any goals or expectations, unlike genius grumpy over there. I just wanted to live my life like an ordinary boy. Someone said that how you spend your day is how you live your life so I did just that – ate ramen, slept in class because I am a growing kid, and played each arcade game until I won them. I also believe in serendipitous – thanks Sakura for this word, for the spelling and meaning – serendipitous coincidences. I just pitched and batted for former captain Haru one afternoon and now we landed in the national finals. I had loneliness for a friend, but now I’ve got all of you. And you know what else, the magic of working together. We wouldn’t have stepped foot in the nationals if it weren’t for your collective help. When we work towards a common goal, that also gives us common happiness, right? It’s infectious, a bouncing energy that gets thrown around and still makes it one piece. So wherever you will be after this, believe it!”
When Kakashi called her name next, she thought she was deaf, the noise around her collapsed in muted decibels. It took a minute before her fellow classmates shook her and motioned for her to quickly come up the stairs. Her silver-haired teacher looked so concerned in the shadows, but for what it was worth, she was civil and calm enough (at least in the matters concerning him) to nod at him in quiet exchange of assurance.
It was because she saw both of her parents at the side with a bouquet of roses. She struggled with the paper she brought with her although she had it memorized in her head; she even went through it flawlessly for three times last night. Tears blurred the words and the mere shock of the sight of their togetherness disabled her mental function to string coherent thoughts. She also started hyperventilating, her breaths coming faster than what her lungs could pump.
Then she felt Kakashi’s hand on her shoulder, a steady presence, and it reeled her back to reality. He tapped the mic and the feedback echoed. “Ah, Ms. Haruno had some technical issues. Again, let’s welcome former student council president, Sakura.”
Sasuke and Naruto in the front were almost standing, but she flashed them a smile as if to say she was okay now. “Hello, good day to our honorable guests and graduates. I think it’s safe to say that Sasuke and Naruto provided really good words of advice. So I have nothing more to offer, but to share my gratitude. Everyone was saying the student council did a good job in its programs, but it was actually the lot of you who made this possible – from your activity suggestions to participation and feedback. After all, you were the makers of your memories.
Earlier last week, my councilmates and friends reminded me how small actions go a long way – a smile, a wave across the hallway, a short exchange of good morning and see you soon, and I thought, aren’t we all just an accumulation of these small, little things? As such, it was what you think your insignificant moments were that pushed us to deliver you the best. It was the passing comment, the top-of-your-head tips, the interlude stories we hear during lunch breaks that allowed us to give you grand gestures and memories we hoped were worth keeping. And if we could start to use that perspective as well in our lives then maybe the uncertainties of a future wouldn’t be so heavy on us. We will face tomorrow with a lightness in being.
In behalf of the student council, thank you for allowing us to serve you.”
She bowed at a level where her torso was almost aligned at her hips, and she was confused with the lack of reaction. Sakura sighed, mulling over the deficiencies in her speech, but she straightened her back to a sight of a standing ovation and a thundering applause.
Then, she let her tears fall.
--------------------------------
“Why would you let Kakashi-sensei take the pic?” Sakura hissed at them.
“Just this one time, Sakura!” Naruto grinned.
“Sakura, you’re out of the frame,” Kakashi remarked. “Okay good. Say cheese.”
In spite of her recent heartbreak with him, she permitted herself to bask in fleeting cordiality. “Cheese.”
“Grumpyyyyyy.”
“Idiot blondie.”
Kakashi took three more shots and handed the camera to the trio. He almost turned away when Sakura caught his sleeve.
“Just one more,” she said. “With you.”
Sakura shifted to the front, almost kneeling with the camera angled for a selfie, her two friends beside her looking equally annoyed as the other, and Kakashi behind them, his hands on either head, smiling with his deceptively charming beauty mark.
It was the last picture of their high school life.
--------------------------------
The three were rushing through the airport crowd fifteen minutes before the immigration closes gates.
“Here!” Sakura slid a folder on the large pocket on Sasuke’s bag. “It includes your passport, your flight details, your valid IDs, your itinerary, and letters from us! Don’t forget our Friday video calls!”
“I can’t see. These tears are bullies,” Naruto said through tears. He was continuously wiping his eyes with his sleeve.
“And If I don’t get on my flight because you made us eat ramen for one last time and the orders took too long, I’m gonna have you cursed by a witch and a shaman!” Sasuke growled. The guards were starting to close the gates when a sobbing Naruto sprinted and basically tackled the guards on the floor.
“Sasuke come on, hurry up!”
“Drink your vitamins! And if you miss cream puffs, I’ll teach you how to make them.” Sakura was trying hard to keep pace with Sasuke’s brisk walking, but she ended up breathless anyway.
The three of them finally reached the immigration entrance, and Naruto was profusely apologizing to the guards for the interruption. Sasuke showed his documents, wheezing as they looked at it. They gave him a thumbs up and opened the gates.
The two were already slumped at the floor, waving without words, and exhausted from the clock race. Sasuke was almost through when he remembered something he forgot. He muttered a quick sorry, ran through the opening, and hugged his two friends.
“I’ll miss you.”

The "tip of the hair” thing from anime characters.
We all know these characters who have funny hair color ranging from bright pink to sparkling white, passing by mysterious purple. It’s almost an unspoken rule not to ponder too much on the color of characters’ hair, because it’s so cool!
Here are some theories/possibilities on the reasons behind the tip of the hair!
(Please do not take any of these seriously)
Warnings: please do not take this seriously, fight scene, 5 scenarios within the theories, last scenario being just plain mean… (~4k words)
Characters: Kita Shinsuke, Kocho Shinobu, Yushiro, Tokito Muichiro, Yashiro Nene, Ishigami Senku, Akugatawa Ryuunosuke, Zenin Naoya
1st part: It’s naturally like this. “The ‘natural’ hair color”
It’s just like childhood blond people.
The people who are born blond, live through their childhood being blond and then, treason. Their roots start to darken, spreading the brown over the blond and they are no longer Primrose but Katniss. And it’s difficult, you know, to explain that they are blond because they are going through a strange phase where they no longer know the color of their own hair (*sniff*, just kidding).
So, it’s just like this, the roots are brown but often the tip of the hair is of a lighter color (blond, even ginger in certain places). You take this, and you reverse it, making so that the roots are lighter, and tips are darker.
Example: Kita Shinsuke, Haikyuu
Here you have baby Shinsuke, with the same natural hair color as when older.
(psst, imagine also if during summer his hair darkened more, just like people have them more blond).
It’s a new kind of molecule. (Part 1)
There was a mutation, the melanin mutated help! Other than the eumelanin (dark/brown) and the pheomelanin (red/yellow), another one appeared giving people crazy (cool) hair color! What’s more is that this one actually moves.
Example : Kocho Shinobu, Demon Slayer
Notice first, this beautiful purple. What do we also notice? The ratio and the defined line, just as if all hair should go from black to purple at the same exact point.
This is NOT a coincidence; this molecule can travel. I will explain that; so, we notice that younger Shinobu’s hair are shorter than when she is 18/19. However, as her hair grow longer there is more purple that is appearing? Shouldn’t there be lesser purple? No and we can thank this new, heroic molecule.
New systems developed inside the follicle, and they can sense, perceive the ratio of the colors. As the hair grow longer, more of this molecule will be created and sent to the extremity of the hair, allowing Shinobu to always have the same black/purple ratio on all the affected hairs, which explain the clear line as they are roughly the same length.
It’s a new kind of follicle. (Part 2)
And a lazy one at that! While working efficiently at the beginning, it soon becomes so lazy that it thought about just letting the regular black/brown/ginger/blond color instead of continuing working hard to color the hair a beautiful shade.
Example: Tokito Muichiro, Demon Slayer
(In his case, the follicle just forgot)
The Marie-Antoinette syndrome
The Marie-Antoinette syndrome is when someone hair suddenly turn white due to an intense stress.
The name came from folklore about the hair of Queen Marie-Antoinette of France (1755-1793), who during the night before her execution by guillotine, had her hair turn white in her cell due to stress.
The Marie-Antoinette syndrome could have had another name as Thomas More in 1535 also had his hair suddenly whitening the night before his execution, there were several cases of the syndrome throughout history, but no research suggests that we can lose hair color overnight. Yet, stress do cause hair to whiten, not overnight, but progressively.
Example: (well, might as well go with the same manga) Yushiro, Demon Slayer
I’m actually pretty sure this is due to stress as before meeting Tamayo he was sick and he may have had a time where all his hair were black, but the stress just came back when he realized how much he loves Tamayo and how many potential rivals he could have (lol). (assuming his hair continue to grow, but we know it’s not *sigh*)
So, this was all for now for the “natural” hair color part. Now, just imagine them just after they cut their hair.
You tilt your head sideways, examining Shinsuke’s hair while sipping your juice from under the shadow of the peach tree.
The sun was scorching, obliging him to wear his hat while gardening but not preventing you from taking sneak glances at his new hairstyle —diligently cut by his grandmother— the missing black color at the tip of his hair still slightly disturbing you.
When you saw him that day, your accustomed-to-seeing-him brain went into a frenzied panic assuming a non-existing threat from the sudden change in the pattern of his hair. You, without having a choice, followed behind this archaic brain of yours, metamorphosing into a stuttering, eyes-avoiding mess when your heart won the fight with your brain and decided that this would fluster you.
The day was spent in his bedroom, playing with his hair sometimes brushing them in the opposite direction, their straightness prickling your palm sometimes just rolling a strand between your fingers, eyes prying for even the tiniest spot of black leading you to conclude that they had all been cut off.
Your view of your boyfriend is suddenly blocked… by the face of said boyfriend. The blank stare on him was too much, as it was all he saw whenever he turned around to check on his resting girlfriend, leading him to come nearer.
“Hey, are you feeling all right?” He approaches his hand to you head, brushing your baby hair out of your face. “Even with a hat and sunscreen, maybe the sun was too strong? We can go inside and rest if you want to.”
You pull him to sit next to you, taking his hat off by the process and raising your head to scan the sky through the branches and leaves protecting you both.
“Nah, I’m okay,” you reach behind you and dive your hand in the cooler, grabbing a cool bottle of water, “you should drink a little though and we have to go back soon granny is going to worry, and I don’t want her to come outside to search for us in this kind of weather.”
You battle a little bit and screw off the cap to hand the bottle to him, which he takes and grace your fingers with a kiss right after.
“I am still not used to not seeing the black tips in your hair. Sorry I was staring,” you apologize.
He laughs it off, internally relieved that you were not mad or rehearsing a prank forged with the twins in your head.
He still had some influence on them and intimidating them was not a problem. He also could retaliate without an ounce of guilt.
But while he could scold you —it is fun to see you being apologetic and trying to be forgiven, your pranks were rather mild too—he could never be mad too long, as your pranks were just, well kind. If the twins are not involved.
“I can understand. Look at me as much as you want, I’m here for this as well after all.” He stands up and pulls you up after closing and putting the strap of the cooler on his shoulder.
“Let’s go home.” And you follow him, carefully placing both of your hat to protect you from the sunrays.
“Wait a little bit and you will see; the roots will grow black at first and it will soon be as usual.”
“Really?!”
Three days later, his hair was green, courtesy of the twins giving you ideas.
2nd part: It is not natural.
Well, we could just say, it’s the power of something that made it like this bla bla bla (well, I mean it’s the author who chooses).
But nah, it’s no fun if we do not make theories! Because the world is… *whisper* conspiracy. Let’s forget the wig too for now.
Well, let’s start with something basic: it’s simply dyed.
Maybe the characters just thought it was cool to have them dyes like that and this could work for a lot of them, even in the less recent times as people started to dye their hair even 1500 BC. 300 BC prostitutes in the Roman Empire already dyed their hair blond too, using ashes of burned plants or nuts and in 2014 artificial-looking hair color became a trend! (https://www.byrdie.com/hair-color-history)
Exemple : Yashiro Nene, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun
Nene-chan obviously is a hopelessly romantic teenager, and I am sure that she wants to follow trends just like she wants a boyfriend for the sake of, well, having a relationship at the beginning of the story.
So, pretty sure that with Aoi’s influence (she has the real power… help) they decided to dye the tip of her hair green in middle school.
(psst, PS: Aoi also tried to dye one strand green but her hairs were too dark, we can only distinguish the color when focusing)
(re psst: Akane directly noticed it).
Okay, a little funnier now. It’s because of an experimental failure, so a new kind of chemicals.
Example: Ishigami Senku, Dr Stone
So, we know that he is a science nerd. And we know that he experiments a lot. Let’s just imagine mini-Senku, seeing his father and wondering why the hell does he resemble a radish?
Then, mini-Senku trying to synthesize a greenish hair dye (because he wants to look like a leek), but failing, not because it doesn’t take the color, but because it stays.
Do you know what’s even funnier? He failed it when he was young, like ridiculously young (he is in first grade here, so 6/7 years old and already a fan).
So just imagine 5/6 years old Senku, just having his hair up and green one day and he understands that they will always be like this.
It’s due to their power <3
Maybe kind of a side-effect of their power, we could think of Todoroki (Shoto) whose fire side have red hair and white in the ice side, so simply a cool consequence of cool powers.
Example: Akugatawa Ryuunosuke, Bungo Stray Dogs
Okay, so this is cannon, I’ve decided so. We all know he was poor, but like slums poor so he could just not afford to buy hair dye also there is no point in doing so.
BUT! During one of his fight, it happened. Rashomon ate the melanin at the tip of his hair. And since then, he decided it was cool and will keep it like this forever.
Scenarios! (・ω<)☆
“A-are you sure it’s like that?”
“Of course, it is, just trust me Nene-chan~”
They were clearly messing things up. The shower curtain laid there, ripped off its place, soppy and stained green at some places.
The sink, crowded with various face products, hair accessories, nail polish and a myriad of different-colored eyeshadows from just as much different pallets. Clothes lingered on the floor, creating little mountains of fabric and you were wise enough to avoid stepping on one in fear of being stabbed by a lost hairpin.
In the middle—rather the left corner—of this mess stood your two friends, the stool having been knocked off by a panicked Nene made you worry about her tripping on it. Facing her was a smiling Aoi hands stuck on too-big plastic gloves and a bottle of hair dye in her hands.
“I thought I told you both to wait for me,” you sighed. “Here Aoi-chan, gimme the bottle and the gloves. Nene-chan, catch this.”
You threw your package to her, which she missed, and the cloth unfolded revealing the cape you borrowed from your father’ barber shop. You hanged the curtain up again and went back to the now wearing the cape Nene— you just named teepee-Nene.
You slipped on the gloves and verified the mixture they prepared. Deeming it good and usable, you began to separate the strands of Nene’s hair, clipping some up and untangling some burdensome ones.
Then, as she already applied the protecting product, you began to spread the dye on her tips, visualizing the lovely ombré she wanted.
From the corner of your eyes, you noticed Aoi growing bored by each new stroke of brush.
“Do you want have a dyed strand too? Though it could not take well because of the color and the washing you just did,” you offered.
“Yes!” she eagerly accepted, immediately pointing at a random point on her head. “Plus, we can trust you at one hundred percent!”
“Of course,” you chuckled, “I am used to do this.”
“You did most of your colors by yourself, yeah?” Nene asked.
“Yup,” you confirmed. “But my parents were okay with it, were almost encouraging me to do so, bleh. Contrary to some middle-schoolers I know.”
You yelped, escaping from Aoi’s traitor finger that just poked your side. Nene grinned, “Well, as miss high-school first year helped us, you are an accomplice. Don’t think you can escape being punished with us, (Y/n).”
Shaking your head, you went back to her, lightly pinching her arm through the cape and focusing on your task with the girls’ chatting serving as your background noise.
_____________________
“We should dye your hair too, (Y/n)!” The girls’ eyes sparkled.
“No do so kids.” You discarded the dye bottle in your hand. “The dye doesn’t work anymore, should have requested this sooner.” Ignoring their complains, you walked out of the bathroom, walking to the kitchen for some snacks.
It was an ordinary day at the Ishigami household. Byakuya had checked his list, little shoes at the entrance, check. Clean living room and table, check. A walking Senku-sized mop, check. Groceries for dinner, check.
Byakuya turned around, checking again. Ah, he forgot the yogurts. Would it be weird to go back to the convenience store? They could skip yogurts for once, it wasn’t essential. What was important, however…
“Senku!! What happened to your head?!” He dashed to his son, grabbing his shoulders. “Did you get hurt? Wait you didn’t actually dive into a suspicious liquid right?” He paused. Then thought. He stared at him. “No, even if you want to test something you can’t just bath in it.”
Senku stared right back at him. And bonked his head.
“No I didn’t, I’m not stupid,” he reassured his father. “It’s hair dye,” he pointed out.
“Aah, I see…” He patted his hair before standing up. And tossed the child on his shoulder while ordering, “We are going to wash it away, immediately.”
_____________________
It wasn’t right. It didn’t go away.
“Why is it still stuck?!”
“I don’t know!! But stop, I’m going bald!! Help! He is trying to age a child! Human experiment!”
“I’m not, it doesn’t want t-oh, it’s disappearing.” Indeed, the water was now tinted a green color after streaming through Senku’s hair.
Byakuya sighed in relief. “Luckily it’s going away,” he started, “though it’s seems the tips already took the color in.”
Head down, Senku wrung out his hair and broke in a smile while confirming by himself Byakuya’s affirmation. “Yeah, I started by dyeing them first. Wanted to look like you.”
Byakuya froze. ‘He wanted to look like me?’ He glanced at his reflection. ‘I do have two hair colors.’ He grabbed a towel and spoke, “But you know, it’s not good to dye your hair this young. Come here, I’m gonna dry them.”
The child’s hairs were still thin, but the long strands would thicken later with no doubts. Byakuya was wary of his own strength too, as a child’s head remained fragile looking, Senku was still five after all. But this wouldn’t prevent him to mess with it a little bit.
Taking the hairdryer and a hair comb, he disentangled some knots here and there, added hair wax at each strand he lifted up until they were all up and with a radish-like form except from a tiny seaweed at the front.
“Tada! Here is my masterpiece. Keep it will you?” He ran away. “I’m going to the convenience store; I forgot the yogurts!” he shouted. “Tidy the bathroom up for now, thanks!"
_____________________
“What they didn’t know though,” the narrator started, “is that the chemicals would keep him looking like that, proudly wearing the same hairstyle 3,700 years later, a unique hairstyle, a relic from the modern era they knew.”
Akugatawa was in a dire situation. A kind of situation he had been in plenty of times but could be the last one he lived through just like all the other ones.
The enemy was strong, not physically exceptional, but having grown enough muscles to defeat three or four kids like Akugatawa attacking him together.
It wouldn’t be a problem, for he was blessed with Rashomon, if only the man he was fighting wasn’t an ability user as well.
The worst, being that he didn’t underestimate him nor was he stupid as he cleverly used all the aspects of his ability, taking each openings Akugatawa dropped by inadvertence, creating numerous opportunities from them and further damaging the child’s body each time.
Akugatawa was certain now, that his enemy couldn’t be taken lightly and though it was pointless to ponder on this now, as he didn’t know if he would survive this fight, he was concerned on why someone this strong would be going after him.
The answer to his questioning could be a threat to his relative safety, as well as his sister’s and the other children’s.
He dodged, the outline of the shadow almost piercing through his head, its razor-sharp edges flaunting death in front of his eyes.
After many failures, he finally began to uncover the trick to resist the unknown ability. The man had been sending his shadow after him for some gruesome minutes now and Akugatawa recognized some patterns, his body learned to dodge and bend to escape even one blow.
But his knowledge stopped there, he couldn’t pinpoint how to stop the enemy, how the ability worked.
All kind of ability had some king of mechanism, he learned. His depended on his clothing as the beast was formed from it. If put naked in front of an enemy, he would be dead meat; separated from any kind of fabric he was just as vulnerable as he was as a newborn.
Yet, even when having Rashomon by his side he was struggling against the stronger, the more experienced ability user.
While the origin of the enemy’s weapon was his obviously shadow, he had no ideas how to make it disappear nor did he know how to stop the connection between the user and his shadow.
He blocked an attack—at least Rashomon could touch it—and the beast’s fangs tore through the black foggy blade making a bee line to the enemy’s neck.
From under him, the man defended himself. This action cost him his life as Akugatawa found his long-awaited solution.
Another attack, not from the ground—he learned that when closer to him, the enemy could raise his shadow as he wanted—but from above him.
He lifted his head; the tip dangerously close to him.
It allowed Rashomon to successfully break the crystal hidden underneath the layers of shadow, the blade shattering apart the moment the crystal was damaged.
Now that he found out the way to get rid of him, Akugatawa could unleash his beast and let it freely destroy the destabilized enemy in front of him.
_____________________
The enemy was gone and Akugatawa staggered to his home, the distance being longer than what he recalled. Having reached the entrance, he collapsed on the ground after seeing his sister quietly waiting for his return.
He woke up some hours later, the night had installed itself in the sky.
Something was strange however, as his sister was staring at him, eyes sparkling. He wondered why until she pointed at a strand of her hair that was framing her face and taking it, pushing him to mirror her actions with his own.
Indeed, where the black melanin was supposed to be, was now hairs devoid of color and white like an old man’s. His gaze trailed up to find out only the tip lost its color, the pattern where the colors met looking like sharp teeth.
“Big brother,” Gin started, “could you do the same for me? I want white tips too! And you must do the same at the other side, it would be prettier if it symmetrical.”
Did his sister just ask him to chomp her with Rashomon?
Bonus: Zenin Naoya <3<3<3, new technique
Hang him head down.
First, you lure him into the garden, being a submissive, obedient and sweet wife, you want your dear husband who is finally at home to relax and you have prepared a surprise for him <3
So, you lead him to the garden, where you prepared a magnificent, grandiose gallows!
Not understanding the reason why it’s here but being arrogant enough for at least a hundred men; he asks his silly wife why something so grotesque was in the garden she adored to take care of
You smile sweetly and lean in to kiss him (him allowing you to do so of course, you couldn’t do this if he was not spoiling you but he was really good with you), wrapping your arms around his neck
Then, you let go of his neck, watching him slowly fall back.
“Oh, dear!” You chuckle after hearing the loud bang his head produced after kissing the ground
You grab the collar of his cloth with one hand, the other one patting the back of his head, fingers finally grazing the little bump, consequence of his fall.
You slam it. (´꒳`)♡
Then you drag him behind you, playing a little bit among the moist grass and zigzagging to admire the pretty flowers you took care of during all the times you had an affair with boredom behind your husband’s back.
1st step. You tightly tie the rope around Naoya’s feet, slipping his sandals in his trouser for him to be able to find them later, how thoughtful you are
2nd step. You get the basin you already prepared and then, you pour the hair dye inside of it
3rd step. You use your delicate arms to lift him up, pulling on the rope with the mechanism you prepared, only do this now or he could die from having too much blood going to his head. Again, you are a model for all wives with your thoughtfulness.
4th step. Let the tip of his hair soak in the hair dye and you can even use it to decorate your husband’s clothes ( ´ ▽ ` )
5th step. Let him dry here, he will take the dye in and have beautiful hair tips. When he wakes up, he won’t be calling the servants because of his pride but then take a little time to come off the gallows. And then, he will be so thankful towards his wife he might want to kill you without ever divorcing! (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄)
But you leave the garden before he wakes up, you want to surprise him.
You take your luggage, join the man/woman (dear boredom) you are actually having an affair with and get out of the house. You want him to fully experience his marriage after all, you will offer him the experience of being cucked.( ◡‿◡ *)

Festival
"I have an idea of what we can do this weekend!" Rengoku yells, straight into the delicate inside of your ear.
You look up from the printer, peering at him warily. Here we go again.
After the first somewhat confusing whirlwind of a date, the two of you settled into a comfortable tandem of letting each other take turns to pick date activities. You had brought him out for ramen, and he took you to a sumo show (and then out yelled everyone else in the stadium), you took him for lunch in the park, and he took you to an escape room (in which he got too excited and ended up ripping the handle off the door, which got the both of you yelled at by the staff), and so forth.
This week, it was Rengoku's turn to decide.
Rengoku had spent the majority of this week bombarding you with what he calls 'perfect date ideas'. You had absolutely no idea where he was even getting these suggestions from, or if he had always been compiling a list of his own.
You'd never admit it out loud, but anything with Rengoku, despite how god awful it may sound, ends up ridiculously fun. His good-natured unquenchable enthusiasm and encouraging spirit made any situation exciting, and you loved it.
Although, you had boundaries.
"It's oil wrestling! It'll be a great test of spirit!"
"Watching or doing?"
"Doing!"
"Absolutely not."
Rengoku seemed to deflate for a moment, and you almost felt bad. Almost.
Making her way over to you, Kochou Kanae hums her agreement as she gathers her stacks of fresh handouts from the printer. "I don't know... Oil wrestling doesn't seem very romantic Rengoku-san. What about going to a haunted house instead?"
You sigh softly to yourself. It was bad enough that you had to fight off Uzui's repeated attempts to 'help' you and Rengoku's budding relationship, but now it seemed that everyone in the staff room wanted to meddle.
You still haven't fully recovered from Tomioka's suggestion to 'exercise' as a great date idea. You've never ran so many laps of a track field before, and never want to again.
Rengoku folds his arms, considering her suggestion seriously. "That sounds great Kochou-san! But I don't know of any haunted places in the area!"
Kanae smiles at him, excitement twinkling in her eyes. Fishing in her pocket for her phone, she proudly shows Rengoku a compiled list of 'Tokyo's Most Haunted Getaways'. Before you could pull the both of them (and their horrifying plans) apart, Himejima comes up behind you, huge frame blocking out the light.
"Sorry to interrupt..." he begins, looking not very sorry at all. "Have you all submitted your class' necessary forms for the school festival?"
At that Kanae titters, bustling back to her desk to pick up the forgotten forms while Rengoku, ever the star employee, nodded in reply.
Rengoku follows you to your desk as you try to locate the forms, looking deep in thought. "Why don't we go to the school festival then?" he suggests brightly.
"As in... on a date?"
Rengoku grins. "Of course! It'll be fun! My class is hosting a haunted house, it will be perfect!"
You couldn't help but smile at his excitement. You couldn't imagine any of the lively students being anything close to scary, but you were sure it would be fun regardless.
---
"Welcome," says a frazzled looking Aoi, standing at attention behind the little ticket counter.
Rengoku greets her cheerfully, his voice ringing loud even in the noisy hallway. His bright hair and brighter smile fit in perfectly with the excitement of the event. It seems to do nothing to lift her dismal mood though, as Aoi only sighs out her reply.
It was only eleven, but the festival was already in full swing; the usually rowdy students driven uncontrollably raucous with the lively atmosphere.
You can imagine why poor Aoi was already looking like she needed a ten hour nap.
"Look lively, Aoi-san! The festival has just begun!" cheers Rengoku, passing her a can of milk tea from the giant bag of treats he bought at the convenience store just before. You carry a similar bag of goodies, the two of you wanting to motivate your respective classes as they work through the festival.
Aoi sighs, far too weary for one so young, popping open the tab of her drink as she complains. "Inosuke won't keep to his scare area! He keeps jumping around, and Tanjiro leaves his scare area to put him in his place! Zenitsu keeps whining that it's not fair that he has to watch couples go by the haunted house or something, and its driving me nuts! Rengoku-sensei, can you please talk to them?"
You wince, inwardly thankful that your class was easier to handle. Rengoku booms a laugh, feeling none of your apprehension or Aoi's tired annoyance at his misbehaving students.
"It sounds like they're fired up today huh!" he chuckles, as Aoi rolls her eyes. He hands over the tickets for her to take. "We're going in Aoi-san! I'll talk to them while I'm inside!"
Aoi perks up at that, nodding as she rushes to the door, peeking her head inside to yell at the scare actors to get ready. At her nod, the two of you walk inside, pushing aside the heavy black curtains as you move into the cramped, dimly lit space.
It seemed like the students had set up makeshift walls, covered in fake leaves and cloth, creating a narrow route that winded through the class room space. Lit only by lamps, the outside light blocked out with what was probably more curtains, they managed to make what seemed to be a decently convincing, forest-like atmosphere. It was an impressive feat for a bunch of high school students with no theater background and even less of an attention span, and you praised them to Rengoku who hummed loudly in agreement.
You pressed close to Rengoku's arm to walk side by side, and you feel him fumble around until he located your hand, squeezing it gently. Was it even acceptable to be holding hands while you two were in school? Ah well, it's dark enough that it shouldn't be a problem.
The first bend brought with it the first scare actor, the student's rustling the only sound that permeated the room. With a half choked "WAGHH!" Tanjiro leaps out at the two of you, teeth bared and arms splayed. Dressed in what seemed to be a werewolf costume, he had two little brown ears peaking out in small brown tufts from his messy red hair, and brown paw gloves. He looked... too adorable to be scary.
Still, you pretend to be scared for his benefit, letting out a small "WAH!" of your own, but quite unable to keep the smile off your face. Tanjiro seems pleased enough with it. Rengoku laughs loudly, reaching over to clap him on the shoulder. "Kamado my boy!" he grins, letting go of your hand to rummage through his bag for another canned drink, "Excellent yell! Your fierce spirit really shows through! Here take this, and keep it up!" Tanjiro looks pleasantly surprised to be handed the drink, his "YES! THANK YOU!" loud and sharp like a soldier.
"I didn't expect you to come by, Rengoku-sensei, nor you (Y/N)-sensei!" he chirps cheerfully, not even bothering with keeping up his 'scary' persona in front of his teachers. "I would not miss a chance to cheer on my students!" proclaims Rengoku. He says it loudly enough that an excited murmur goes through the fake walls, probably from the other scare actors listening in. You smirk up at him. Rengoku was as popular with the students as ever.
Tanjiro grins up at him, seeming to get more pumped up by Rengoku's words. As he moves to go back to his hiding spot, he turns to you. "Ah! (Y/N)-sensei, be careful! I know you're not good with scary stuff, and our haunted house is pretty scary," he says, smile dropping in worry for you. You had no idea how he even knew you weren't fond of horror, but you doubted a bunch of students would be very scary anyway. Still, you smile encouragingly at him, but before you can reassure him of your bravery, Rengoku cuts in. "Do not worry young Kamado! I will protect her!"
You stare at him in disbelief, embarrassment colouring your cheeks in a hot flush. How does he even say things like that with a straight face? Tanjiro doesn't seem as embarrassed to hear it as you are, instead nodding at him very seriously.
The two of you leave Tanjiro, continuing down the dark hallway to the loud, snip snip sound of what was unmistakably scissors. Out from the darkness lopes out a giant set of garden shears, clipping shut way too close for comfort. You jump back in shock, and Rengoku takes a step forward, half shielding you and squeezing your clasped hand in comfort. The boy wielding it stepped out into the light, tear stained cheeks glinting.
"Even YOU Rengoku-sensei?!" cried Zenitsu, snapping the scissors a few more times for effect. He might have had more polished makeup at one point, but his tears had long smudged the white powder and black eyeshadow, making him look even more ghost like. His next words came out nearly indistinguishable, choked and warbled with tears but you picked out "unforgivable" and "punishment".
Rengoku seemed startlingly unconcerned by Zenitsu's behaviour, still grinning his manic smile down at him. In fact, he seemed almost impressed. "Incredible, young Agatsuma!" he cheers, fist pumping. "You have really gone above and beyond for your role! You are absolutely terrifying!"
At the (misplaced) compliment, Zenitsu's grief seems to clear. Immediately the tears stopped, replaced by a giddy bashful smile. "Heh, sensei do you really think so?"he asks, bouncing in his place and cuddling the giant pair of shears at Rengoku's affirmative hum. "I only did what I could," Zenitsu says, rubbing at his nose in an attempt at humble nonchalance.
Rengoku's grin, lit with the glow of the lantern, was blinding. Passing the boy one of the canned drinks, Zenitsu accepts Rengoku's praise happily, nearly skipping back into his hiding spot as the two of you went past. You had absolutely no idea if Rengoku had planned that entire exchange to calm him down, or if he truly thought it was all just Zenitsu's acting skills.
The two of you barely made it three steps away from Zenitsu before something came barreling down the path, knocking over the props, lamps and even a few walls before launching itself at Rengoku. Amid the chaos of the thing's growling roars and Rengoku's booming laughter, you could make out the boy's boar head, furry pants, and telltale lack of shirt and shoes. He would have been pretty scary in his own right if you, and most of the school hadn't seen him prowling the school in that same ridiculous headdress. He had gotten so excited over how 'cool and badass' it looked that the moment Aoi was done fashioning it a few days ago, he refused to take it off.
"SENSEI!" Inosuke roared, voice not diminished in the least by his mask. "BE AFRAID OF ME! COWER!"
Rengoku laughed even louder in response, grin threatening to split his face even as he wrestled with the boy. "Wonderful, Hashibira my boy! I can feel your passion burning stronger than ever!"
Inosuke barks out a laugh just as loud as Rengoku. "Praise me more! I'm FAR scarier than Monitsu and Gonpachiro!"
"I don't know who those people are!" shouts Rengoku. "But you are amazing in your own right Hashibira! I'm proud of you!"
You flutter around the two of them, pulling at their arms in a futile attempt to stop the impromptu wrestling match. Luckily, as quick as it started, Inosuke decided that he has had enough of trying to overpower and outshout Rengoku. He seemed very satisfied with Rengoku's praise, giggling happily to himself. From behind him, a few of the other scare actors emerged, upset that Inosuke had destroyed half the room's arrangement in his conquest. From behind you, you could hear Tanjiro yelling at him, voice audible even over the din of everyone shouting at once.
The chaos took a while for Rengoku and you to settle, and once everyone calmed down enough to start clearing up the area, you dragged Rengoku out of there, realising it will be better for them to work without Insouke trying to start a new wrestling match every few minutes. Rengoku left the rest of his treats with Aoi who promised to hand them out to the rest of the students on shift.
"So, wasn't it scary?" asked Rengoku, beaming down at you. You didn't really think scary quite covered the mayhem in that room, but you DID have a lot of fun, and tell him as much.
The two of you decided to stop by your classroom next, and you breathe a sigh of relief at how quiet your class is in comparison. Honestly, it was a silent reprieve in the midst of the festival's commotion. The dango the two girls manning the front of the store glistened enticingly in the light, and (to no one's surprise) Rengoku ended up purchasing nearly half their ready stock.
Nezuko thanked you for your treats with a muffled sound of appreciation, mouth stuffed with dango. You wondered faintly if she was selling the food or eating it, but Makomo beside her assures you of their good sales regardless.
Setting off now unburdened with treats but arms full of delicious dango, the two of you made your way through the stalls with Rengoku pausing every few steps to hand feed you his dango. Perhaps it was the cheerful mood of the festival, but you found yourself less embarrassed by the public display of affection than you would usually be.
The two of you strolled around, arms interlinked, enjoying your food, the giddy feeling of Rengoku's full attention making you feel like the two of you were in your own world. That is, until you heard the whistle.
Sharp and blaring it sounded right behind your heads, causing the both of you to jump. Turning, you stared right into the steely blue eyes of Tomioka, his characteristic frown setting him apart from the happy festival goers.
"Tomi-" Rengoku began, raising his arm in greeting before Tomioka blared his whistle again.
"Please maintain a sufficient amount of space between each other whilst on school grounds," he says, voice flat and serious. He jabs his ever present bokken at your linked arms, tapping until you unwind yourself from Rengoku. Rengoku's eyes widen even more than usual at Tomioka's intrusion. Although his smile remains ever present, the slight furrowing of his brow is the only indication of his true feelings.
Rengoku booms a laugh, slapping the bokken away from the two of you. "It's a festival, Tomioka-san! I'm sure its alright to be a bit lenient today!" Rengoku shouts cheerfully.
Tomioka doesn't seem in the least fazed, tapping his wooden sword against his shoulder in a flat, yet strangely menacing manner. "I disagree. Rules are rules, Rengoku-san. Please understand, we are teachers, we must maintain-"
"I understand!" you say, cutting off what was sure to be a rambling speech. "We'll be more careful."
Tomioka eyes the both of you, dubious, but finally he assents, nodding sharply before striding off immediately to hassle a student couple.
You moved to continue walking before you feel Rengoku grab your hand again. Eyebrow raised, you turn to him. "Tomioka just said that we can't be too close in school right?"
Rengoku grinned, blinding. "He did, indeed!"
"Then why?" you question, looking pointedly at your linked hands. At that Rengoku leans closer, cupping his hand around his mouth as if to whisper.
"He's not looking at us now," he says, voice still too inappropriately loud for a whisper. You turn to watch Tomioka smack the male student over the head with his bokken, presumably for talking back to him. For a second, you wondered if he'd smack the two of you for daring to disobey the rules even after a warning. You didn't doubt it.
As if sensing your thoughts, Rengoku's smile pulls wider, playfulness twinkling behind those burning sonic eyes. "We'll be sneaky."
In Rengoku's defence, he tried his best.
The two of you strolled around, hand in hand, dropping away from each other at the first sight of that messy black hair and worn blue tracksuit. It became nearly a game, greeting Tomioka's suspicious gaze with the most innocent expressions the two of you could muster (you, holding in giggles, and Rengoku, even louder with anxiety). Whenever he left, the two of you would stick together like magnets, the situation making you two even more touchy than usual, giggling your heads off like teenagers.
But in all honesty, Rengoku wasn't built for any sort of sneakery, and it wasn't long before the two of you heard the telltale blare of the whistle. It was the only warning you received before you spotted the gym teacher barreling down the crowded hallway, whose participants parted immediately, terrified of Tomioka's already swinging sword. You sighed, ready for the inevitable scolding, before you felt Rengoku tighten his grip on your hand, tugging insistently at you, as he turned to run down the hallway.
Too shocked at the sudden chase scene to say a word against it, you allow yourself to be dragged down the hall by a madly laughing Rengoku, his voice matched only by the repeated blares of the whistle. Students and festival goers threw themselves out of the way as Rengoku shot down the hallways like a burning blaze.
Stumbling along after him, you let him pull you into the space beneath the staircase, his laughter cutting off as he struggled to be quiet. Covering your mouth, he pulls you in close, the two of you trying to stay as quiet as possible as you hear Tomioka thunder past. The two of you stayed tense and quiet for a few moments more before Rengoku lifted his hand off your mouth, allowing you to properly catch your breath.
"You!" you begin, accusingly. "He's definitely going to scold us later!"
Rengoku looked appropriately chagrined, his grin looking almost sheepish. Humming softly to himself he thinks over your words. "Then, let's not leave this spot!" he says, hair bouncing as he visibly perks up at the thought of staying in the dark dusty staircase. You snorted at his antics, letting him drag you down, tucking you neatly against him as he sat down.
You lean your head against his chest, cuddled in his arms as you try to calm your heart back down after the impromptu marathon. Rengoku nuzzles his face into your hair, and the both of you sit in comfortable silence for a while. It's a welcome change after the chaos of the festival.
Rengoku, you knew thrived in that madness though, so you ask him when he'd like to return to the festival.
"Hm," he says, and his voice is uncharacteristically soft, making you turn to stare at him. He smiles, gentle, and he looks surprisingly sleepy, as if cuddling under dusty staircases was his perfect idea of a nap. "I realise," he murmurs, and it makes you wonder if this is what he's like in the early mornings, or the eaves of the night, when his perpetual fire (if ever) dims for rest. "I haven't gotten you all to myself all day... Let's stay like this, for a little while longer."
You smile back up at him, securing yourself more comfortably in his lap. It certainly wouldn't hurt to relax here a bit longer. You'll just have to hope Tomioka forgets about his scolding by the time the two of you get back.

P4 kids
I’ma go into a little detail about them, though these are only the investigation team’s + two other characters children, I will be giving kids to a lot of others as well.
thanks to an amazing website I can use real Japanese names for these-
Most of the other parents don’t matter, so they aren't other characters.
-Haruto Narukami (遥斗 鳴上) Yu’s son, he’s part of the next gen investigation team. He has his fathers grey hair (which he ties in a short ponytail) but blue eyes from his mother.
He tends to wear long sleeved shirts most the time, tends to keep his hands in his pockets.
He keeps to himself and only speaks to people when they start the conversation. His voice is quite and sometimes people would just completely miss it when he does talk.
He’d come of a little pessimistic at first, but if anything the stuff he says is just more realistic.
Even if it doesn’t seem like it, he’s always paying attention. Out of everyone he’s probably the one who will remember that small detail someone mentioned, like a pets birthday.
He’s second year.
-Akiko Narukami (晶子 鳴上)
Baby, she’s only 3. She has grey eyes and short black hair. Being as young as she is she still has childhood innocence. Generally excitable. Basically a happy child. Love’s her dad and brother.
-Keiko Hanamura (慶子 花村)
This little shit. She’s also part of the next gen investigation team. Her teachers probably hate her. Puns. It would be wrong if she wasn’t the class clown.
Green eyes and brown hair, probably brushes her hair every three-five days with how messy it normally is.
Tends to wear hoodies because why look ‘nice’ when you can be comfortable. also by that logic she owns crocs. a lot of crocs. Yosuke is kinda disappointed and kinda proud.
She’s a second year.
-Atsuko Hanamura (敦子 花村)
Yosuke’s son, actually is Keiko’s twin. Tends to get mistaken for a girl sometimes. Some people refuse to believe he’s a boy. He has dark brown hair that covers one of his eyes and brown eyes.
Tends to keep to wearing shorts and jackets. A little quite, decently mature. Still helps his sister with pranks though. Can and will be an asshole if you insult his family/friends.
He actually wears contacts since he doesn’t like glasses.
He’s a second year.
-Chihiro Satonaka (千尋 里中)
she grew up just with her mom, so she seems a lot like her (only having one parents to look up to and all)
Like Chie she’s sporty, she’s actually went to the football club in her first year and second yeah she went to the basketball club.
Though instead of kicking (like Chie) she tend to punch. She has stronger upper body strength.
She has black hair and green eyes, both from her dad.
She’s part of the second generation investigation team
She’s a third year.
-Haruka Amagi (春花 天城)
His dad moved out of inaba when he was younger, but he tries to visit his family when he can and makes sure to call every week, so they have a good relationship.
He gets told he looks like his mother a lot, having black hair and dark brown eyes. (the wiki says Yukiko has dark brown eyes-)
He tends to wear a cardigan most the time, another thing that causes people to say he’s just like Yukiko, and almost never wears shorts.
He’s a polite, kind boy. Though he has no interest in a love life, which makes his life difficult because he’s Yukiko’s son, someone a lot of people would like to date. He just wants friends.
He learnt how to play the piano and violin at some pint and is in the music club. In his spare time he likes to draw, and he’s actually good at it.
He doesn’t understand humour.
He’s part of the second generation investigation team.
He’s a third year.
-Ayaka Tatsumi (彩花 巽)
Kanji's and Naoto’s first child, people tend to compere her to Kanji more. She’s the tallest child (taller than her mom) which makes her seem threatening.
She’s more like her mom when is comes to intelligence, though sometimes if something is a little to obvious she cant see it. Though she’s great at picking up peoples emotions.
She bleached her hair a few years back (so the ends are still bleached) but her natural hair colour is blue. Her hair is long so she tends to keep in in a ponytail. She has grey eyes.
She’s a third year
She’s part of the second generation investigation team
-Hibiki Tatsumi (響 巽)
He’s the middle child, just taller than his mother. He has black hair and blue eyes. (Naoto’s eyes change from blue and grey.) He needs glasses.
He’s the most formal child, actually caring about his appearance. He’s the smartest but tends to over think everything.
A lot of the time he starts mumbling to himself, his room is filled with notes most the time and he has a note book he carries everywhere with him.
He’s a little socially awkward, not really knowing what to do when someone starts talking to him. Kinda a teachers pet, or atleast the teachers like him.
he’s a first year.
he’s part of the second generation investigation team.
-Fuyuko Tatsumi (冬子 巽)
the youngest siblings, she’s a lot different compered to the other two.
She has long black hair (that tends to cover her face) and piecing blue eyes. She’s the only child shorter than Naoto.
She tends to wear a buttoned up shirt and shorts with leggings. the only people that see her not wearing this outfit is her family.
She tends to be frowning most the time, lots of people say she just looks angry. Which she’s not most the time, thats just her resting face.
Her glare either seems empty or like she’s considering murder.
She kinda just dislikes people a lot.
-Hina Kujikawa (日菜 久慈川)
being Rise’s daughter, she’s well known. Which is part of the reason she likes going to inaba a lot, there’s so little people she can actually have a moment alone.
She’s pretty short, has brown eyes, blond hair with the ends dyed green. She tends to wear skirts and tank tops, if not dresses.
She loves jokes and pranks, and tends to pull a few on friends. Absolutely adores puns.
Loves dressing up and fashion, she tends to practice make up in her spare time. She loves helping people out with outfits.
she’s a second year.
She’s part of the second generation investigation team.
-Aoi Kasumi (碧 霞)
Teddie’s daughter. She has long brown hair, a green eye and a blue eye. Her dad usually calls her his princess.
She’s a little bit of a sheltered child, she tends to just stay in her room with her plushies. Most made by her dad for her.
She’s shy, kind, energetic and friendly. The only reason she doesn’t have friends is because most people forget she’s even there.
she’s a first year.
she’s part of the second generation investigation team.
-Aiko Dojima (愛子 堂島)
Naniko’s child! Sweet baby, loves her family to death. Has brown hair and blue eyes. Always wearing baggy clothing, cause it’s comfy.
Love meeting people and believes there’s good in everyone. Defiantly a people pleaser. Always tries to help.
-Ayumu Adachi (歩夢 立)
yep, Adachi has a child. A daughter. She’s a young adult with black hair and grey eyes. Generally a formal and mature person. Great at tricking people when she needs to.
She tends to wear a suit, if not a buttoned up shirt with trousers or (on rare occasions) a skirt (she’ll always wear leggings with a skirt). Tend to be wearing heels a lot of the time.
though it is something that has never happened before, she can snap. If she ever was to snap, anyone would be able to see the resemblance to her farther.
Her relationship with her parents doesn't really exist. She hasn’t seen her mother since she was 18 and she never really visits her dad. She kinda just lives alone and does everyone on her own.
She’s a police officer.

additional information –––-
SMOKING HABIT: never / sometimes / frequently / to excess.
DRUGS: never / sometimes / frequently / to excess.
ALCOHOL: never / sometimes / frequently / to excess
possible hooks –––-
- If your character is an Adder or was associated with them, she was a combat medic for them before she retired! She will most likely approach you if mentioned, badger you if you are taking care of yourself and properly getting rest in between missions or shifts.
- If your character is mute or selectively mute and knows sign language (or just knows sign language in general), she will automatically approach with clear excitement in her eyes and a big smile! Her main form of communication is through writing, she does not meet many who know sign language so when she does actually meet those that do, it is a shock to her, a happy one!
- She is a wandering medic, so she is always aiding those that are in need of assistance, be it healing, child birth, or a serious injury, she will approach, very worried but ready to get to work immediately.
- These are just some thoughts I’m throwing out there, situations that I think my character would respond to, to give an idea (it’s super early and I haven’t slept..so they are not the brightest ideas). I am open-minded, if you are interested, don’t even hesitate to throw some of your ideas out there too, I would love to hear what you have to say as well! Working together to come up with an awesome hook or plot is the best part! ^^
what I’m looking for ––––
- Honestly, any kind of contacts! Be it friendships, job offers, rivalries, etc! I mentioned above that I was also looking for an RP FC so, if any of you are in need of a healer (additionally an alchemist, gotta level that up for RP purposes, same for botany), shoot me a message and give me some information about your FC and what you’re all about!
- I mentioned that I’m an open-minded person, so if you got ideas, shoot them my way, I love seeing what people can cook up, and it helps give me an idea of what I can too depending on the person(s) that approach me (character-wise, like personalities, backstories, what sort of plot you’re informing me about and how Aoi would fit into it).
✓ Will do temporary incapacitation, temporary imprisonment, walk-ups
✓ I don’t mind doing RP that is a bit dark, I like being pushed in different directions and it’s fun to explore. Things revolving voidsent (very little knowledge of it though, if you have the patience to give me some lore tips and pointers, I don’t mind one bit), drugs/violence/alcohol/language, I don’t mind at all, as long as it comes naturally with roleplay.
- As for longterm RP, I am not too sure about it, one way to find out is talking to me about it and giving me an idea of what you had in mind (especially if they involve long-term incapacitation, long-term imprisonment, or long-term disfiguration).
- I don’t mind lore bending at all, not one bit, as long as it isn’t anything too crazy or displaced. It is fun to be creative! So as long as it works and flows nicely with everything.
✗ I will not do ERP or anything involving rape. I don’t at all mind having my characters naturally building a romantic relationship (comes along with roleplay, fan of slowburn sort of stuff), but ERP is not my cup of tea so I’m putting this out there now, don’t ask me later, my mind won’t suddenly change.
oocly, I am –––
I am a fairly chill roleplayer, I enjoy in-game roleplay but I don’t mind at all if you would like to use Discord as well. It’s very convenient! I enjoy all sorts of RP as I mentioned above, if you would like fast-paced, I will do my best to keep up and adapt, I am more of a paragraph roleplayer and enjoy putting in a lot of details into my posts, but like I said, I can adapt, I’ve been roleplaying for about 11 years, I’ve been all over the place.
Don’t worry about responding to me asap or roleplaying with me constantly, like I said, I’m a laid-back person, plan with me, gush about characters and stuff, take your time. There is no rush, after all, we’re all here to relax and have fun! So if anything is troubling you, don’t hesitate to approach me about it!
I am on CST, and am usually on most of the time, my sleep schedule is all over the place so I’ll be on during the day, afternoon, night...like I said...jumpy sleep schedule. >w<

VRAINS Cast as Animal Crossing Villagers
(Since I recently got back into Animal Crossing - ty Pocket Camp for that - I thought it’d be fun to try and imagine the VRAINS cast as Animal Crossing Villagers....It’s kind of hard, tbh)
Yusaku - blue cat with pink and white markings who seems to forever lack in sleep and generally is cold-shouldered. Seemingly helps run Shoichi’s hot dog wagon although most of the time the player sees him he is wandering about or lounging in a chair. Soft spoken but open to talking once you get to know him.
Playmaker - green and black cat with gold and pink hair. Shows up randomly during holidays to give advice and then mysteriously disappears...Will give you presents in exchange for Shoichi’s hot dogs.
Shoichi - a dark purple dachshund with a weird fascination for hot dogs. Runs a hotdog station in the city plaza of Den City. A carefree villager who is eager to please and is amiable at first sight but hides a cynical nature and a secretive exterior. Constantly seen poking fun at his assistant, Yusaku, although he seems to care for the cat villager more than anything else.
Go - a brown and golden bear who really loves wrestling and kids. Talks about the orphanage he used to work at a lot and, while he comes off as intimidating at first glance, he is actually quite friendly and easy-going. Has a soft spot for cutesy furniture and small fish and has a habit of giving out any items he doesn’t want to other villagers.
Aoi - a brown floppy-eared bunny with a coldly polite exterior. Soft spoken but very isolated and doesn’t like to make conversation. Around her brother, she seems subservient. But the snide remarks she makes suggest that she disagrees with her brother’s behavior more often than not. Usually forlorn and distrustful, when the player gets to know her (and her secret) she is willing to engage the player in more cheerful talks.
Blue Angel - a mysterious dancer who appears in Den City’s plaza on special days. A blue and white bunny with ears that stand straight up. She is secretly Aoi in disguise and is the persona Aoi puts on when she wants to meet and talk with people who don’t associate her with her brother. She likes holiday events and judging competitions. She can be a bit rude to the player character at first but once the player realizes she is Aoi she grudgingly comes to accept them nicely.
Akira - brother to Aoi and a blue and cyan wolf who manages a large part of Den City’s shops. A seemingly busy villager who has little time to take care of his sister, he loves Aoi very much and often sends her money and items to make up for his lack of care-taking time. He is also very controlling towards Aoi and, while his intentions are good, he is also oblivious to how others feel towards him.
Ema - a pink and lavender cat with mischief up her sleeve and a care-free attitude. Has a tendency to dig pitfall traps for other villagers to fall into and extract a lot of bells for any service she provides like giving out fruit or furniture. A whimsical villager who causes trouble for her own amusement but who also pokes her nose into any gossip she gets wind of. She hunts for rare fossils and occasionally helps out Akira in his work. Obsessed with being beautiful and will haunt the player if they say otherwise.
Ghost Girl - Ema’s “sister-in-law” who not only hunts for treasure but also looks to make a profit in whatever way she can. Typically buys turnips and then sells them at the best price possible. Also runs her own shop where you can put your own items on display for sell at the cost of a small fee. Serious and eager to please in any way possible but will also insult you if you look at her twice. Also has a tendency to sell counterfeit items at outrageous prices that would put Redd to shame.
??? - white dragon with purple streaks and golden eyes. No one really knows his name. A polite loner who is curious in all things but who keeps to himself. A gentleman who a tendency for gossip. Gives you bullet-themed presents for no reason whatsoever.
Revolver - red dragon with golden eyes and a tendency to spew philosophical phrases. Wears a glass mask. Likes to reference mythology and can be kind of depressing to hang around. He is the son of Kogami and often helps his father in his shop. A fan of bug-hunting and fish-hunting and also judging other villager’s outfits. Comes off as an asshole most of the time but is well-meaning and only frank about his views.
Vyra - a red fox with a lab coat on and a polite and gentle demeanor. She dotes on Revolver a lot and is a frequent visitor to Kogami’s shop. Eager to teach the player new things and has a sweet spot for fruit and clothes that burn your eyes. Often gets depressed when she’s told her eyesore outfits are terrible and will hold a grudge against you for a week.
Faust - gray deer with white antlers. A calm villager who is seemingly infatuated with Vyra. A villager of wisdom and advice, he refers to himself as the player’s best guide for living in Den City. He likes to be helpful but tends to go into long rants if not stopped. Has a fascination with wallpaper and stationary paper although no one really knows why. Will give you furniture at a cheap price on flea market days.
Genome - light green duck who glares at you too often. An eccentric “quack” with an obsession on DNA. If you want to hear anything about science, ask him. Otherwise, don’t. He talks way too much about biology and would make a bad biology professor due to his constant, never-ending rants. Will also tell you anything about fish whether you want to listen about it or not.
Specter - a silver sheep whose quiet manner earns him odd looks. Soft spoken but can get awfully maniacal when he gets carried away. Seems to have a fascination with Revolver and bugs and will probably beat you to a pulp every time during the bug-off competitions.
Kogami - a white rat. A rather patient and careful villager who runs a shop similar to that of Nook’s in Den City’s plaza. Sells pricey items to eager customers and makes a handsome salary of bells. Seems to be tired most of the time but still manages to maintain a proper and professional persona.
Hayami - light brown deer. An outgoing and rather cheerful villager with an adoration towards Blue Angel. Helps the player in any way she can and has a tendency to give away free furniture, bells, and foreign fruit as long as the player talks to her and keeps her entertained. Admits to having a crush on Akira but, as far as she is concerned, it’s a secret between her and the player.
Kitamura - a purple, gray and peach bear with an attitude. Tends to think he has the authority to fire people even if they don’t have a job. Stuck-up and rather vain. He likes to sell things to the player for a profit and will even rip them off if they let him. Gossips too much and apparently likes to hear his own head rattle.

Chapter 4 - Rustbucket
"Whaaat now...." I said still half asleep "Just five more minutes...stop with the ringing already...."
In the end I did punched the clock so it would stop ringing.
Then I looked at it. And shouted.
"ÉDES FASZOM I'M LATE"
I still can't describe the situation better than I did back then. Having said screw you to breakfast I jumped into my uniform grabbed a pen and the notebook closest to me and rushed towards the school building.
I saw nobody walking towards it so I panicked and started running even faster. In the end I arrived at the gate by seven-fifty-four.
"My my what brings you here miss I-will-almost-skip-school-today" said the morale committee girl at the gate "Guess this is your lucky day already, carry on Hungary-san"
"Thanks a lot" I said "Annoyance-san.."
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" she shouted after me.
"I SAID KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK" I replied
"That's not what you..."
"SORRYCANTHEARCHA" I said as I slammed the main door behind me.
I swore to myself I would never be late again. That brunette half-pint midget was really creepy.
First lesson was math for which I had enough energy first time in my life since I literally ran a kilometer fourty seconds after I had woken up. Math is the subject I love and hate the same time equally. It's interesting....most of the times....when I understand it. Not to mention I'll need it if I ever want to be an engineer just like Dad. Of course I can e-mail him and he always helps me but honestly this is the case when you either figure the things out for yourself or you will never understand it.
After math it was history.
Then Japanese, which is currently the most troublesome for me. Why you might ask? I'm not a native though I must learn literature and culture during these lessons. Interesting but rather hard though not necessarily useless for me.
As for fourth period I sat through an English lesson the very same way I did it back home. I know everything there is to me, not to mention the level I studied before was higher. They focus on foreign languages in this country but they are not really good at them. I guess it's only natural so understandable.
Nothing really happened during this time. I talked to some classmates between lessons and the teachers didn't tease me much and it's not hard to figure out why.
Lunchtime.
I didn't take my time today, I went to the dining hall and on the way I ran into Saki. They were writing some kind of welcome-back test because their math teacher is like that. She finished early while the others are still struggling with it.
"I mean I know that woman but still...it is getting closer to the last drop" she said.
"Sounds like you didn't do very well" I replied.
"Nah, I wouldn't say it was easy but as my Mom always says I shouldn't try to deal with things I can't so I left some things unanswered. Like two out of ten. Anyways let's eat something"
"Yeah"
I just pushed a random button on the vendor however Saki took her time to figure out what she wanted to eat. You could naturally bring a bento but we are not in the situation where any of our moms could make us lunch. We sat down at a table in front of each other with two seats to spare. I was looking out the huge windows of which we sat next to while reacting and answering to Saki's monolgue about waterpolo. I don't dislike the sport I just don't like it very much though my Dad does it when he has time and my country is strong in it.
Some time later two of Saki's classmates came by.
"Good day Tamara"
"Good day Kaga" I replied "Please, do sit if you want.
"Much obliged" she said "This is Nashikawa Kanae, our classmate"
She was a bit shorter than me, had a ton of bracelet on her arms and a necklace. She also had middle sized black hair and a very overconfident look on her face.
"Howdy" said Kanae "Finally met you, nice to meat'cha! Call me Kan"
"Likewise" I said "You can call me Tam or Tami"
"Sooooouh..." said Kan "Heard you might consider taking up sensha-dou, huh?"
"News sure spread fast"
"Or Saki over here just approoves of you a lot"
Saki blushed a bit.
"Don't you worry a bit!" she continued "I will teach you everything I know...if you can keep up that is"
"You're going overboard again, Kanae" said Kaga.
"Oh right like you can teach her everything miss I-shot-through-the-garage-on-my-first-day-chan"
"Which never happened again because I read the manuals after and had no problems ever since" said Kaga calmly
"Waitasec" I said "You are doing sensha-dou as well?"
"Your deduction capabilities are sparkling today" she said.
"At least you know what a tank is, right?" asked Kan
I grined with half of my face while cracking my fists under the table and explained to her how well I "know what a tank is, right".
Kaga and Saki were eating their food calmly as Kan there next to me went a bit pale.
"I hope I didn't say anything bad" I said
"Not to us" said Kaga.
"I had no idea you are already such a pro miss Tami" said Saki.
"I guess Kan-chan here can't play the big-bad senpai role with you" said Kaga.
"You actually shot an 88....?" said in the end Kan.
"Yes" I replied
"That. Is. AWESOME" she bursted out in the end "I've always wanted to shoot the big guns but goddamn I'm-the-boss-here Captain said 'Only after you had released all the energy inside of you'...."
"This Captain you are speaking of sounds rather bossy..."
"I would rather put it like" said Kaga "She doesn't approove of hasty decisions near a tank. Otherwise she is very confident and energetic...well...not as much as Kan-chan here"
"Oh don't you start it again..." said Kan.
"Starting what?"
"Nevermind..."
After talking to Kan for a little while I thought she really was good in heart. Just a bittle over-enthusiastic.
Lunch time was over. I headed back for another Japanese, biology and domestic-appliances class.
I was told to meet with with the sensha-dou team at their club-house, next to the big buildings I saw the other day. I looked in the dusty window and I could see a few people there as if they were waiting. I was ten minutes early of the de-briefing. I stepped in.
"Hi there" said the girl up front who came to greet me.
"Good day" I replied "Is this the..sensha-dou clubhouse?"
"If you want to call it that" replied the previous tall girl with long brown hair "But we prefer calling it HQ. I'm Eguchi Emese by the way but the others call me Cap for Százados"
She was wearing what seemed to me the tank uniform of this school. A dark olive colured coverall with a belt but she didn't wear the top half so her undershirt was visible. There was also an M39 Hungarian tanker hat on the table up from which I assumed it was hers.
"Ötvös Tamara, nice to meet you"
"Whoa whoa whoa wait you're the Hungarian girl? Seriously? Awesome. My ancestors are from there"
"Well you do have a Hungarian name"
"So. Ya into sensha-dou huh? So six new poeple gathered here this year so far - less than expected - but I hope more will come. We need to resupply our personnels after the ones finished here went away. I guess we can start the de-briefing, nobody else seems to be coming"
We took seats in that little treehouse. It really was a de-briefing hall. A projector on the roof, blackboard and whiteboard on the wall, maps, manuals and other kinds of information documents were everywhere with some desks where you could work and do some paperwork. There even was a long-range communications table with a morse-emitter.
"So" started Cap "Six of you are here now. This couldn't be more perfect! Welcome all to Árpád Girls' School's sensha-dou team. If you wish to go the door is there and nobody will ever hold you back but if you wish to stay...you will contribute to the thing this school is best at in rivalry with waterpolo. Sadly from year to year our numbers are decreasing but we are about to change that. All we have to do is show some progress which; We; Will"
She said this while walking left and right up in front.
"Right now with you guys we are able to man twenty-nine tanks, but for the upcoming battles we need thirty. With your addition to the batallion we grew stronger. From now on it's all up to you to show us how stronger. I think it's only fair to let you know what you need to deal with so here are our numbers: we have fifty tanks total - 2 Tigers, 2 Panthers, 5 Panzer 4s, 8 38M Told Is, 8 43M Toldi IIs, 4 Zrínyi with 105mm guns and 4 with 75mm guns, 8 40M Turán I, 8 41m Turán II and a 44M Tas"
"Waitasec" I said suddenly "I mean excuse me. We seriously have a Tas?"
"Yeah, any notice on that?" asked Cap.
"No...just...cool...only one was built" I said.
"And you can feast your eyes upon her later" said Cap with a grin on her face which seemingly she couldn't surpress "All right girls I'm gonna be frank with you, that is all the information you need, the rest you have to learn so here comes the top point of the day. Wanna ride a tank?"
"Hell yeah!" we all shouted at once.
"All right girls, I'll be back in a few minutes I have something to gather for you"
She left us there alone in an awkward silence.
"Well" I said "If we're going to be sardines in a tin can we might as well get to know each other first...perhaps...?"
"Sure why not, I guess I'll start then" said a girl with long silver hair " My name is Royama Reiko. I came from up north and been this school for a while. My hobby is sports shooting"
"Katsura Fusako. I came from the north as well and I don't really have any hobbies other than riding and gaming" said the girl next to Reiko who was quite tall, had middle long brown hair in a sideways ponytail but seemed a year younger than the rest of us.
"I am Ban Jitsuko" said the other tall girl with long blonde hair "I came from the seashore on the west and I don't have any hobbies at all but I like the navy and I want to join it eventually"
"I guess I have to introduce myself as well" start the girl next to Jitsuko with short black hair "I'm Toyota Eimi. I came from the northernmost island of Japan and I don't have a driving license yet but I want to drive cars to my heart's content"
"Watabe Aoi is my name and I was and am still classmates with Jitsuko" said she who had long black hair.
It was my turn next.
"I am Ötvös Tamara, I came here from Hungary or rather...was sent here. I have a lot to do with tanks and I want to ride a tank like I could never before at home. Nice to meet you all"
They nodded and said likewise.
"Crazy huh" said Eimi "We have not one, but two bloody Tigers"
"Well if our theme is Hungary" replied Jitsuko "It stands for reason"
"True that" said Eimi.
"I'm more fascinated about the Tas" I said "We only made one and it was lost..."
"What do you mean by 'we'?" asked Fusako.
"Well I am from the theme country" I replied.
"Oh right" she said.
"We might as well get along with each other if we'll be closed together" said Aoi.
"I didn't mean to offend I was just curious" said Fusako.
"Aren't only five supposed to operate the tank?" asked Reiko "It's not like we'll have two loaders, not to mention the space"
"You're right...what's gonna happen to one of us?" said Jitsuko.
"I doubt any of us needs to worry" I said "We need a commander, a driver, a shooter, a loader, a radio operator AND we could also have a maintenance personnel who can be a stand in to any of us"
"Great idea" said Fusako.
"She'll need to travel outside then" said Aoi.
"I'll laugh if you'll be that one, Ao!" said Jitsuko "Oh right her nickname is Ao, you can just call me Ji"
"A nickname to a name with three letters?..." asked Reiko.
"Got a problem with that?" said Ji.
"No just sounds rather interesting, anyways I guess call me Rei.
"Fusako's good for me" she said.
"You can call me Ei then, and you Tamara?"
"Tami's fine. I think this is the start of a wonderful friendship...or a horrible one"
Everyone laughed.
"Okay chaps, come with me" shouted Cap from outside.
We followed her and led us in the last hangar.
"My apologies, the OP tanks are already reserved. You're our 29th tank so what we have left are...four Turán I, four Turán II, seven Toldi I and six Toldi II..."
The girls started arguing what to choose, one of them even tried to sweettalk Cap into letting us drive at least a Panzer IV.
"Sorry, though we swap around the tanks according to the battles but we must respect the commanders' decisions"
I wandered into the hangar. It was the one for the medium and light tanks....then I suddenly spotted something covered in some clothing. I unraveled it and I forgot to breathe for a few seconds.
"Oy Cap!" I shouted "Is this one reserved?"
"That piece of junk? Hasn't turned on for decades"
I griend and opened up the engine compartment.
They were still discussing the matter of the tank but after five minutes they heard an engine roaring. I stopped in front of them and jumped out.
"Pan-paka-paaaan~" I said "You were saying Cap?"
"How on earth did you make that rustbucket ignite?" she asked with a surprised looking on her face"
"She has a rather...delicate engine" I replied "Weiss Manfréd Works made ones require the fine touch of a rough girl hehe. So whatchy'all think?"
After that I told them thoroughly my story with tanks.
"I think you already are our commander" said Ji.
They agreed and started throwing me in the air.
"Ta-mi! Ta-mi! Ta-mi!" they chanted.
"Well then, I guess it's settled" said Cap as she wrote the next to our names: 44M Tas.
