Being Tony Starkâs assistant had some perks, like living arrangements and pay, but it also had some down falls like having to deal with the man childâs temperament and the fact that Tony watched damn near your every move. This included every time you got stood up which recently, seemed often. Once a week you would get all dressed up, hair done, full face painted, and go out to wait for your date at some nameless restaurant and wait⌠and wait⌠for hours for no one to show. Each night Tony would be waiting for you to come back and stay up making sure you were okay.
Today though, you insisted it was going to be different. Pepper sat with you while you blow dried your hair and filled in your eyebrows âSo, tell me about this boy?â Pepper pressed, hoping for as much detail as possible out of you.
âWell his name is Jake and he is a CFO for some bank around here.â You answered, âWeâve been talking all week, Iâm really excited, he doesnât seem like the other guys.â
Pepper nodded her head, she hoped you were right. Seeing you heartbroken at least once a week was starting to chip away at her own heart.
âWe are meeting at this Italian restaurant at 12 for lunch.â You said and puckered your lips, observing your lip line and making sure it was even and clean. You looked at your phone for the time, 11:30, time for you to leave. You quickly grabbed your jacket and purse âBy Pepper! By Mr. Stark!â You called from the door and with that you were gone without another word.
At the restaurant you waited for 15 minutes before Jake met you at the table, so far it was going better than your last 5 dates. âY/N?â He asked pulling the chair out.
You nodded your head âYes! You must be Jake.â You said smiling sweetly. The two of you ordered a glass of wine and made pointless conversation. The same pointless conversation everyone makes on dates; where are you from, what are your hobbies, favorite movies, etc.
âSo, where do you work?â Jake asked.
âI work for Stark Industries.â You were proud of where you worked, Mr. Stark had done so many amazing things within the last several years.
âOh wow, that is such a great company to work forâ He added enthusiastically, you knew but retorted a humble answer, âYou know I think I am going to quick use the bathroom before the waiter comes back for our food.â He said, âIâll be right back.â
You checked your phone, and aimlessly scrolled through your social media feed, waiting for your date to come back from his bathroom break. After about 15 minutes you looked around, and sighed, you had no idea what was taking him so long and texted him asking him if he was okay. Another 15 minutes passed and there was still no response and no sign of him. You packed up your things and threw a fist full of money on the table to cover the glasses of wine you sucked down at an ungodly rate while waiting and left. Your drive back home was spent with you blasting music and trying to hold back your tears after yet another failed date.
You were greeted with Tonyâs smiling face âHow did it-â he started but was cut off by you pushing past him and throwing your jacket and purse on the floor and storming off into your room.
You unknowingly shut the door in Tonyâs face and sat on your bed, wondering what was wrong with you. A ping on your phone knocked you out of your thoughts, it was Jake. You didnât know why you opened it, you should have just ignored his message, but for some reason you opened it curious as to why he just up and left.
Maybe he had an emergency?
You should really post full body pictures on your dating profile.
Was all the message said.
You felt you stomach drop as your face scrunched in pain and you threw your phone to the side. You knew this was why he stood you up, your body, you had always been a bigger girl, ample hips, plush thighs that touched, a stomach, this was why you couldnât get a boyfriend.
You hadnât even noticed the knocking at the door until you could hear Tony asking to be let in. You got up and shuffled to the door, Tony sighed seeing your disheveled state, lipstick half gone, mascara running down your face, nose red, and pulled you into a hug. You backed up and shut the door before you accepted his hug and leaned into his shoulder crying and leaving tear stains on his tee shirt.
âWhat happened?â He asked sitting down at the edge of your bed.
âHe showed up this time, but he left before we even could order food.â You answered hiccupping and rubbing your eyes. âThen he sent me a message a few minutes ago saying I should post full body pictures on my profile.â
Tony looked at you in disbelief âAll right. I want you cleaned and ready to go in the next hour. Wear that dress you wear to galas.â He said standing up. You looked at him, confused at what he was telling you, âWell come on, hurry up.â He said and leaving you standing there in disbelief.
Within the hour you had fixed your hair and makeup as best you could and waited for your boss down in the foyer wearing your best dress. Soon Tony wandered downstairs clad in a grey suit and sunglasses and walked out to where his car was waiting. He sped up to walk ahead of you and opened the door âCome on,â He said and ushered you into the seat. You looked around still confused at what was happening.
âWhere are we going?â You asked once he was in the car and already on the road.
âA date.â His tone was very matter of fact.
You looked at him shocked âA date?â You asked, âYou are taking me on a date?â You let out a somewhat bitter laugh.
Tony glanced at you with a puzzled expression, âIâm serious.â He said, âIt seems like these guys donât know how much of catch you are.â
Your face flushed, and you looked down at your feet âI donât know about that. Maybe theyâre right maybe Iâm too fa-â
âI donât want to hear you finish that sentence.â He said putting a hand up âYou really have no idea how beautiful you really are, youâre just too much for these guys to handle, they donât know what to do with all this woman.â You smiled but kept our eyes averted.
You kept a watch out your window and gasped when a five-star restaurant pulled into view. You knew Tony didnât have reservations, but that didnât matter when you were Tony Stark. No wonder he had asked you to dress up so nicely. Once again, he walked around and opened the door for you and allowed you to hold the crook of his elbow as he tossed his keys to the valet driver and within minutes the two of you were seated at a table with an amazing view of the city. You looked at the menu and frowned, everything on here was so expensive, way more than you could afford âDonât worry about the cost Iâm buying.â He said, âItâs a date remember?â
You nodded your head, almost forgetting how these things worked after dealing with so many shitty dates. You didnât know what to say âSo, I scheduled the appointments for next week,â Naturally business was the first thing to leave your mouth.
Tony shook his head âThis isnât a lunch meeting, Y/N, Iâm taking you on date.â He added putting his menu down and looking at you âWhat are your hobbies, where are you from? I want to know about you, youâve worked with me for 5 years now and I donât really know anything about you.â
You nodded your head, he was right, you knew almost everything about Tony down to what his favorite shampoo brand was âWell, I grew up just outside the city with my parents, I went to college for PR and I enjoy painting.â You continued, on and on, describing your family and college along with anything else that came to mind. The entire time he seemed genuinely interested, which was not something you were used to.
Tony nodded his head taking in all the information you told him and burying it in his vast mental bank âYou like art?â He asked, âHave you ever been to the Metropolitan museum of Art?â
You sighed, out of all of your years living in New York, you had never once been to the Met âNo⌠I havenât.â You said sounding disappointed.
âWell then, we have our next date picked out then.â He said smiling.
You looked at him shocked âOur next date?â You asked, âI thought this was like a one-time thingâŚâ you forced yourself to think of it as a one-time thing, a pity date for all the times youâve been stood up, you didnât want the disappointment of getting your hopes up for a second date.
Tony furrowed his brows âY/nâ He said, his gaze was intense âI am taking you on a date because I like you.â It was very much Tonyâs style to bypass most formalities and get straight to the point âI see you come home ever week, one guy after another, breaking your heart and I canât stand seeing it anymore.â
You sighed in relief as the waiter conveniently came to take your order before you could manage an answer, you looked at your menu and quickly scanned it as Tony made small talk with the young man taking your order. A grandiose picture of a steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, all the fixings caught your eyes, and you looked down at yourself and at Tony, back at the picture, then back at yourself and felt a surge of guilt push through you. Guilt for wanting to eat this glorious spread of food, youâve eaten enough food today, you thought to yourself as you turned the page back to the salads and appetizers. You let out a puff of air âIâll take a cobb salad.â You said smiling softly.
Tony arched his brow âWhat are you a rabbit?â He asked in a joking manor.
You shrugged your shoulders âI donât know, I mean I had a big lunchâŚâ you said trailing off
Tony handed back his menu to the waiter âGo on sweetheart, treat yourself today.â He said smiling slyly.
Your face flushed âWellâŚâ You thought for a minute, thinking about what you had for lunch, oh right it was a nice big helping of tears and wine because you got stood up. âThe steak dinner, rare?â You asked the waiter, he smiled and wrote down your order and refilled the two glasses of wine and went off.
The remainder of your dinner with Tony went very well, you two made small talk and were both surprised how little you knew about each other. Upon your arrival back to the compound Tony walked you back to his room, he sauntered by your side with his hands in his pockets, trying to act coy âWhen are you free next?â He asked.
You laughed âWell, Iâm your assistant so I guess I should be asking you thatâŚâ You trailed off leaning against your door.
âRightâŚâ Tony said trailing off âHow about next weekend?â He asked âAfter the meeting with the marketing department?â
âSo, Saturday at 11?â You asked, your mind was racing, you hadnât been on a proper date in so long, how was he going to say good bye? Was he going to kiss you? Was he going to hug you? Give you a firm handshake?
âYes, 11. Wear your walking shoes, weâre going to go to the Met.â He said and smiled, unsure on how to end things with you, he was never good at saying goodbye to people. So, he turned your head to the side and placed a lingering kiss on your cheek, it was sweet and simple and made your face flush. âY/N,â Tony started, âAs long as we are together, I donât want you to ever feel less than, you are beautiful.â
You held his gaze, no man had ever complemented you so much in one night, let alone treated you this well, you didnât know how to handle it âThank you.â You said âIâm sorry, I donât know how to handle complements.â You said looking down and playing with the ends of your hair.
A grin spread across Tonyâs face as he looked at you, he loved the way your cheeks flushed and your eyes darted around nervously whenever he complemented you, it would take a while but Tony would make sure you would feel as beautiful on the inside as you did on the outside

Title: A Letter to Jake McKenzie (An Officer McKenzie fic, Slight JakexMC)
Follow along the audio post by reading Rebecca McKenzieâs letter here
Characters: Officer Rebecca McKenzie, Jake McKenzie, M/C Word Count: 2746 Summary: Rebecca thought he was out of her life for sure. Itâs been far too long. Since he disappeared, she has mourned, stored away the memories, and moved on with her life. That is, until a glimmer of hope resurfaced into her life, reviving her determination to search for Jake again.Â
Authorâs Note: The soundcloud audio and visual of the letter are just ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS! You can still enjoy the fic without reading the letter or listening to Rebeccaâs audio post. The letter is in the story, just separated in chunks between Rebeccaâs memories. I just got really into this story so added a lil something extra.Â
-------
âOkay, Becca, your turn!â Â Your friends giggle excitedly between countless sips of wine. They all turn their heads to you, eyes glistening with anticipation with whatâs to come. Â âTruth, or dare?â
âOh, you know me,â You raise your glass and shoot a wink at your friend who raised the question, âI always play it safe. Truth.â Â A collective groan is heard amidst your circle of friends. Â
âFine,â She tuts, âIf you had to pick just one, who is your best friend in the entire world?â Â
Each one of them lean in, hoping their own name will slip out of your mouth, but in your drunken state you could not bring yourself to draft up some bullshit excuse solely to stroke their ego. Â In truth, your best friend, who can never be replaced, is your cousin, your âbrotherâ, your partner-in-crime, Jacob Lucas McKenzie.
âI-â You begin, âItâs my cousin, Jacob. Â Jake for short, and he calls me Reb,â You mutter the last part. Â âWe were born a year apart, him being a year younger than me. Â Weâre both only childs, so we consider each other siblings.â Â A sudden wave of reminiscence sends shivers down your spine. Â âI feel like itâs a mutual understanding between us, that despite whatever is going on with our lives, weâll always be each othersâ number ones.â Â As those last few words slip through you, you begin to ponder whether that statement still stays true. Â âHeâs serving in the military right now. Â Itâs been eight months since Iâve last seen him,â You say, almost in a whisper, your heart twisted with nostalgia. Â âI wonder if heâs okay.â Â
You feel one of your friends rub circles on your back, reassuring you that itâll eventually be okay, and you seize the opportunity to lean on her shoulder and shut your eyes tight, replaying and grasping onto any visual memories you have of your cousin, your best friend, Jake McKenzie.Â
******
Your eyes flutter open, welcoming the dim moonlight, which glows through your window and lit up the ceiling you wake to. Â
Ever since you shared that moment of truth with your girlfriends, nobody had heard anything from Jake. Â It felt like youâd jinxed his fate. Â
You remember exactly what had happened the day the news spread: the phone call, your aunt â Jakeâs mom - interrogating you for answers when you certainly didnât have any, you rushing to your room and searching every social media platform for clues as to where Jake isâŚIt was a nightmare you couldnât escape for weeks, months, and even to this day.  Everybody was certain that he was out of their lives for sure, and forever.  It seemed like that for quite a while. Â
Until, just last week, an unexpected glimmer of hope appeared out of the blue. She persuaded you not to give up yet.
And you donât intend to.
Exhilaration tingling your mind and soul, you swing yourself out of bed and walk over to your desk, switching your desk light on. Â You grab your favourite black pen from your stationary holder and tear a piece of lined paper off your notepad.
Even though the chances your cousin might read this are slim, youâve mustered up your anger and distress for way too long. Â It was time to let those thoughts flow out of your mind and into the ink. Â
My dearest Jake â
No, too sappy. Â
Hey, scrub â
Would he appreciate that? Â That the first words he reads from you after almost a decade is, âHey, scrub?â
Jake â
You scratch that too.  This is not going well.  You snatch the paper from your table and crumple it up, ripping a fresh page from your notepad once again. âItâs just another letter Reb, donât overthink it,â You try to reassure yourself.
Hey, Jake,
Itâs been eight years.Â
I know youâre out there somewhere, that you havenât abandoned us for the sake of abandoning us. Â I always knew you had a reason, and Iâm so glad I got to find out why before either of us disappeared off the face of this earth. Â
I remember I was so heated when your mom called me, crying on the phone as she told me that you went AWOL. Â I was blinded by my own selfishness, that it made me believe you betrayed us, that you betrayed ME. Â
And Iâm sorry. Â Iâm so sorry I ever doubted you. Â I miss you so much. Â I really, really, really miss you. Â There doesnât go a day where your whereabouts donât cross my mind. Â Family reunions have never been the same since you disappeared.
Tears begin to well up in your eyes, and you allow them to flow down your cheeks, as there is no need to hold anything back this late at night. Â
Remember when we used to play hide-and-seek with our cousins, and when it was your turn to be âitâ, you never searched for any of them except me, and we would just sit on the swings and wait for them to come out an hour later, all pissed at us? Â Those were really good times; I wish we could go back. Â I asked why you picked me, out of all of them, to be your sidekick, and you couldnât think of an answer. Â All you said was, âYou get me.â Â
And I still do. Â I get you. Â I know you. And I hope you still know me too.
The scribbling stops short. Â Jake probably doesnât want to hear you spilling your heart out over and over again. You blink away the remaining tears. What would he like to hear about? Â
âŚAnywayâŚI joined the LAPD!  I attended and graduated from the police academy as soon as I finished college.  You actually inspired me to join, Jake.  I thought we could, you know, continue our misfit character arcs and be the dynamic service duo cousins in the family.  But thatâs not the case now, is it? Â
Despite our circumstances, I still love how things turned out for me, career wise. I work with a team of brilliant-minded people, and when shit gets intense down in L.A., thereâs no doubt they know how to handle it. Â Sure Iâve gotten roughed up a few times here and there, but I havenât died yet, so thereâs that. Â Fun fact: I met Cassandra Leigh and Hayley Rose while on duty one time (almost got shot, but no biggie)! Â I donât know where you are, but I hope youâve heard of at least one of them, especially pop sensation Hayley Rose. Â (P.S. In case you havenât heard, she got decapitated. Yikes.)Â
You inhale deeply, allowing that breath of air to hold you still and bring your thoughts to a halt.  All of thisâŚrambling is only delaying you from saying what you actually need to get out. What seemed like a brief moment in your memories, was in truth a battle of emotions you never imagined youâd have to face again. Â
It seemed like yesterday, your phone buzzed and lit up at 3AM from a message request on Facebook. Â You couldnât sleep anyway, so you decided to check who it was from. Â The bright light blinded you, but you made out the name, âM/Câ. Her message was typed out like a plea, a last attempt for help. Â
âHi Rebecca,
Iâm M/C. Â I apologize because this may seem very out of the blue, and it probably is. Â Please donât click away thinking this is a hoax; what Iâm telling you is the truth. Â And for reasons you can figure out by yourself, I canât be too specific.
âŚI have reasons to believe your cousin was the pilot who flew me to my destination two years ago.  I know, this sounds bizarre, and before you ask me âWhich cousin?â A) Itâs not that I donât want to tell you, I canât.  Not here. B) Deep down, you know which one. Iâm not telling you this because Iâm some random passenger who suddenly found an interest in the mysterious pilot who flew her to an island two years ago.  He was my friend, a close one at the very least, but he disappeared after I flew home (as you can figure out why).  I was wondering if we could meet sometime this month.  Iâm sure youâd like some answers, and I want some proof that heâs not a figment of my imagination post-travels. Â
However, if youâre at peace with your closure and donât want to visit this subject again, I completely understand and apologize for interrupting your routine. I wonât contact you again. Â
Thank you for your time.
- M/Câ
You bite down on your lip.  Jake didnât usually post anything on Facebook.  However, the one time he made his presence known on social media, he made sure to drag you in it as well.
Youâre the one who snapped his profile picture, the one heâs had up for over ten years. Â Itâs a candid of his seventeen year-old self; seated in front of you at your favourite local coffee shop back home. Â Heâs leaning forward, arms crossed in front of him as he glances out the window and onto the quiet morning streets of Shreveport. Â The sun rays hit his face and grey sweater in two streaks, causing him to squint at the brightness thatâs overshadowed him. Â It was the perfect contrast from the mellow, dim lighting inside the cafĂŠ, so you seized the artistic opportunity and snapped the image of your cousin. Â Little did you know, he would garner a liking to the photo as well, and ask to use it as his profile picture â not that you would mind. Â âPhoto creds, @Rebecca McKenzie,â he simply captioned it. Thatâs where M/C probably found you.
I met M/C last week. Â She reached out to me on Facebook, after curiously searching your profile. Â Donât worry, she didnât expose any information about you online. Â Sheâs smarter than that (though you probably already knew).
I was hesitant at first, but I was also desperately clinging onto any last hope I had of you, Jake. Â I put my full trust in her â this stranger who messaged me on a whim - and she returned it ever-so graciously. Â
Do you wanna know how M/C looked, when she walked into my apartment? She had her hair tied up in a high ponytail, and sunglasses tucked at the top of her head.  She wore a green v-neck tee, and paired it off with blue jeans and white sneakers.  Her eyes shone vibrantly, and she carried a smile that could light up the entire night sky. No wonder she captured your attention.
Sheâs incredibly, and effortlessly beautiful, Jake. A little bit on the younger side (no judgment here, cuz), but beautiful on the inside and out nonetheless. Â
She shared all the wild adventures the two of you had in La Huerta, from your first encounter in your cockpit (Princess, really?) to the last time she had you in her arms, and how you stuffed your dog tag in her hands, reminding her that youâll be thinking of her every step of the way. M/C offered to let me keep your dog tag, or to gift it to your parents. She thinks we deserve the memory of you more than she does, a college girl whoâd spent less than a month with the pilot who brought her and her classmates a lifetimeâs worth of adventure. I didnât take it from her, of course. Thereâs a reason you gave it to her, and besides, I have enough memories of you as it is. Â
When my fingers grazed your dog tag, my heart shattered into a million pieces. Every part of me shuddered. Â I had real evidence in my hands, that you are somewhere out there. Â Youâre somewhere out there, making a means to an end, living the life you believe youâve been destined for. Â
M/C filled me in on why you deserted your station, the whole Lundgren situation and all. Â I swear to god Jake, if I could, and if I ever get the opportunity to kill him, I will. Â His worthless life deserves to be put behind bars, not you. Â Iâve never wanted to strangle anyone more than I do with him.
Your fingers twitch a little at the thought of Lundgren. Â The thought of him - even a simple task such as writing his name down - makes your blood boil with revenge.
You rub your arm soothingly, attempting to rid the goosebumps that have raised underneath your skin, and try to recall the good, the better memories M/C had of Jake. Â While it was truly magical that you had someone at your dining table, resurrecting your compassion and hope for your long-lost cousin, what was even more magnificent was the fierce passion M/C had in her eyes when she talked about him. You watched her pupils dilate at any mention of Jake, how they gleamed underneath your kitchenâs warm lighting as she vividly described every detail of the short time they spent in La Huerta, and how she rubs the dog tag in her hand, as if it reassured her that this was real, her memories are real, Jake is real. Â
In that moment, you realized that the woman sitting in front you - your last glimmer of hope, âPrincessâ - was hopelessly and selflessly in love with your cousin, Jacob Lucas McKenzie. Â
And there was nothing either one of you can do about it. Â Â
Do you love her, Jake, like she loves you? She didnât tell me specifically, but actions speak louder than words. Â Itâs been two years and sheâs still clinging onto some hope that maybe one day â just one day, youâll be in each others arms again. Â And I would like nothing more for you to be happily fulfilled with your life, with her alongside. Â
I cannot even begin to imagine the horrors youâve had to face these past eight years. Â Itâs so messed up. Â I completely understand if you want to throw your past away and leave it all behind, Jake. But please donât let this potential future slip away from your hands, just because youâre scared. Â Sheâs scared too. Â But sheâs just as feisty, as stubborn, and as determined as you are, Jake; which means sheâs not willing to give up on you yet. Â And I know deep down, there doesnât go a day where she doesnât cross your mind, either. Â
I love you, Jake. Â All I want for you is to chase the life you want to live. Donât give up yet. Â Because I havenât. Â And if I havenât, you know Iâll find a way. Â One day, Jake. Â One day youâll see the woman youâre meant to be with, again. Â
I miss you. Â Wherever you are, take care of yourself, okay? Â Iâll protect M/C to the best I can, no matter what happens. Â
Love, Reb.Â

Stand Out With Micro Influencers

Stand Out With Micro Influencers
We cannot stress the growing importance of micro influencers in social marketing right now. We have previously shared on why despite their small following size, they are pretty powerful in the digital space. However, their small size often cause them to be under the radar but thankfully we found a couple of ways to help brands identify them in just a few clicks.
Once again today, we are going to talk about micro influencers. With the overload of social media content, we are going to show you how brands can differentiate themselves by engaging these micro influencers and successfully promote the brand.
Create an ongoing story with them
It is not to say that brands should not work with top influencers or celebrities, but working with micro influencers allow brands to have more room to discuss and co-create unique content. Also, micro influencers have lesser brand endorsement history and provide much of a blank canvasâ. This allow first partnering brands to really build a relationship with them to create a brand story personalized and distinct to them. In general, working with micro influencers are usuallyâŚ
More flexible
If you have followed my page for more than a week you know how much I love @lacroixwater as a spritzer mix! Here is another delish combo for your weekend đˇ. I think it's my favorite so far đ. Mango @lacroixwater + sauvignon blanc, preferably with a colorful, fun label đ. Enjoy! #tgif #lacroixlove

Celebrities usually have a style or theme that they maintain on their social media channel and that could limit their presentation of content for brand endorsement. While top tier influencers and celebrities would opt for an outfit shot featuring the clothing or them holding the product, micro influencers would be more open to creating differentiating content beyond just a simple photo. Plus, given that micro influencers cost much lesser, brands can feel free to explore different forms of content from videos to tutorials.
@glossier was kind enough to send me their new priming moisturizer rich and I've been testing it out the past few days and it's so moisturizing and makes my skin feel like a baby's booty so if I were u I'd definitely pick some up before it sells out â¨đŚ

Here, micro influencer @ceciliagorgon not only posted on Instagram products that @glossier sent her but she had also created a blogpost review on the Glossier site to share her experience and thoughts on the products used.
Able to create distinguishing content
Top tier influencers and celebrities have always been well recognized by their fans and they usually grow their size through building a social profile and lifestyle that resonates with the mass audience. Most if not all of their social content are always well liked, hence it is not surprising to see even the most simple photo (of a meal, of a PJs) receiving hundred of thousands of likes.

Micro influencers on the other hand often come from specific verticals and build their social presence by creating specific content that sparks interest among followers of similar interest â say photography and fitness.
With a passionate attitude and ability to get down to the finest detail for their content, brands can expect to work together with these micro influencers to discuss and co-create one of a kind content that would really differentiate from all the other âmore commonâ form of influencer marketing.
 Engage them for advocacy program
One of the ways to identify a micro influencer for your brand would be to discover from your existing customer and fan base. Using tools such as the social listening (#hashtagmonitoring) from Popular Chips, brands can identify small and rising influencers who are already talking about the brand organically. These accounts could be brand enthusiasts or even everyday fans.

With top tier influencers and celebrities, engaging them costs so much and they are often not working exclusively with one brand. On the other hand, brands can build a longer and continuous relationship with these micro influencers/ fans and turn them into brand advocates.
For some cases, brands can even engage these micro influencers to engage in social media marketing efforts for free as they are already fans. Some brands are already doing so by sending newly launch products to these small influencers for free and in return, these enthusiasts are genuinely excited and take to social media with product content (Instagram stories, posts or even Youtube videos).

Also, Sperry has been actively working with their group of micro influencers forming the #SperryAmbassador team. These influencers do not boast the largest following (few thousands) but they are niche in their field. They consist of Sperry brand and style enthusiast, photographers as well as travellers who travels around the world in Sperry footwear.
Brands have showed us that itâs not always the bigger the influencer the better. Give micro influencers a try for your next brand campaign and see for yourself, the true value they bring to your social media marketing strategy!

15 Things You Might Not Know About A Sunday on La Grande Jatte - 1884
BY Kristy Puchko - May 1, 2015
At first glance, Georges-Pierre Seurat's A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 seems a warm portrait of a sunny day in a lovely park. But a closer look at the Neo-Impressionist's most famous work reveals much more.
1. A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 is made up of millions of dots.
Forging the new style with this first-of-its-kind painting, Seurat became the father of Pointillism and of Neo-Impressionism. However, he preferred to call his technique "chromo-luminarism," a term he felt better stressed its focus on color and light. Â
2. It took Seurat more than two years to complete.
This complicated masterpiece of Pointillism began in 1884 with a series of almost 60 sketches Seurat made while people watching at the Paris park. Next he started painting, using small horizontal brush strokes. After this initial work, he began the labor-intensive realization of his vision with tiny dots of paintâa process that would not be completed until the spring of 1886.
3. Science was Seuratâs major muse for color choices.
"Some say they see poetry in my paintings," Seurat said. "I see only science." The artist was fascinated by the color theories of scientists Michel Eugène Chevreul and Ogden Rood, and he explored Divisionism in A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884. This painting method utilizes colors in patches that essentially trick the human eye into blending them, creating luminance and shape.
4. Ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Phoenician art inspired the Parisian scene.
Seurat sought to capture the people of his Paris just as these eras immortalized their citizens. Or as he once put it to French poet Gustave Kahn, "The Panathenaeans of Phidias formed a procession. I want to make modern people, in their essential traits, move about as they do on those friezes, and place them on canvases organized by harmonies of color."
5. Critics initially hated it.
Seurat's groundbreaking techniques were a major turnoff for some critics at the Impressionist exhibit where A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 debuted in 1886. Other observers sneered at the rigid profiles of Seuratâs subjects. Meant to recall Egyptian hieroglyphics, these poses were negatively compared to tin soldiers.
6. Sunday was revised in 1889.
Seurat re-stretched its canvas to allow for room to paint a border made up of red, orange and blue dots.
7. Seurat was just 26 when he completed his best-known work.
Thanks to his involvement in the artist collective the SociĂŠtĂŠ des Artistes IndĂŠpendants, the daring young painter's reputation was growing before A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 debuted. But while his output was seminal, it was also cut short in 1891 when Seurat died of an undetermined disease at age 31.
8. Sunday was largely unseen for 30 years following Seurat's death.
The opportunity to view the historic painting returned in 1924 when art lover Frederic Clay Bartlett purchased A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 and loaned it indefinitely to the Art Institute of Chicago.
9. An American philosopher helped reshape public opinion on the painting.
In the 1950s, Ernest Bloch's three-volume The Principle of Hope explored the socio-political interpretations of A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, spurring a renewed interest and appreciation for the piece.
"This picture is one single mosaic of boredom, a masterful rendering of the disappointed longing and the incongruities of a dolce far niente [idleness]," Bloch wrote. "The painting depicts a middle-class Sunday morning on an island in the Seine near ParisâŚdespite the recreation going on there, seems to belong more to Hades than to a SundayâŚThe result is endless boredom, the little man's hellish utopia of skirting the Sabbath and holding onto it too; his Sunday succeeds only as a bothersome must, not as a brief taste of the Promised Land."
10. The painting is now displayed as Seurat intended.
Once he'd added his painted border, Seurat re-framed A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 in a specially-made wooden frame painted a crisp white. This display choice is still in effect at the Art Institute of Chicago.
11. But its colors have changed.
Seurat employed a then-new pigment in his painting, a zinc chromate yellow that he hoped would properly capture the highlights of the park's green grasses. But for years this pigment has been undergoing a chemical reaction that began turning it brown even in Seurat's lifetime.
12. It's bigger than you'd think.
Not just Seurat's most popular piece, but also his biggest, A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 measures in at 81 3/4 inches by 121 1/4 inches, or about 7 feet by 10 feet. Its large size makes its every inch flush with tiny dots of color all the more remarkable.
13. This park scene may hold hidden sex workers.
The titular locale was a favorite of prostitutes on the prowl, so some historians suspect that fish are not what the fishing-pole-toting woman on the left was hoping to hook. The same speculation has arisen around the lady on the right, with a monkey on a leash and a man on her arm. Â
14. The painting was nearly incinerated while visiting New York.
On April 15, 1958, A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 was on loan at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City when a fire broke out in the adjoining Whitney Museum. The fire damaged six canvases, injured 31 people, and killed one workman, but Seurat's beloved work was whisked away to safety through an elevator evacuation plan.
15. It's one of the most reproduced and parodied paintings in the world.
A Sunday on La Grande Jatte â1884 earns screen time in the Chicago-set comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off,
the science fiction cult classic Barbarella, and on the crude cartoon series Family Guy. It's been parodied by Sesame Street, The Simpsons, the American version of The Office,
and even the cover of Playboy. In Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd invade the painting. And celebrated Broadway icons Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine made a musical about its creation called, Sunday in the Park With George.
He is a thorny soul, a man neither happy nor particularly kind, and not someone youâd be likely to befriend. But when the 19th-century French painter Georges Seurat, reincarnated in the solitary flesh by a laser-focused Jake Gyllenhaal, demands that you look at the world as he does, itâs impossible not to fall in love.
Or something deeper than love â closer to religious gratitude â is the sentiment you may experience in the finale that concludes the first act of the marvelous revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapineâs âSunday in the Park With George,â which opened on Thursday night at the newly restored Hudson Theater.
We have watched a restless day of rest in the park of the title, where an assortment of flâneurs and poseurs have become steadily more fractious and discordant.
