Everytime i consider getting even slightly into the dc fandom despite reading the comics avidly since middle school, i'm quickly reminded why i Dont Do That. It is so funny how dedicated some comic fans are to not enjoying themselves or having fun ever in their lives. it's always either "they're just too MEAN to each other in comics where things happen </3 the only valid storyline is WFA and that one batman issue where they get McDonalds" or "everything published in the last 20 years is worthless garbage. The only good interpretation of my fave was written in 1982 for three issues. But the writer who wrote that isn't good they're a hack it's just that the spirit of fucking uhhh aqualad or whoever CHANNELED themselves onto the page in the only confirmed real life case of possession, confirmed only because that loser creator couldn't have done my sweet little baby justice unless that was what happened." maybe at some point you have to consider that if every comic you read but one sucks so bad and is god awful, you don't just like comics anymore?
