i recently went to my local ice hockey teams match who were playing against glasgow and now i’m thinking thoughts of ice hockey boyfriend!soap having to play against his girlfriends home team (and losing…sorry glasgow lmao…we won 5-3)
》 18+ for a little suggestive rambling
Him being all cocky like "I promise not to demolish your team too bad, bonnie. Hope you don't get upset when my team wins" accompanied with an arrogant wink.
It doesn't help that he's been on a winning streak either (like yes, you're proud of him, and you always give him some celebratory love afterwards, kissing his scrapes and bruises among other things) but he just had to go and fire you up, talking smack about your home team, so just this once are you going to root against your hockey player boyfriend.
He thinks it's cute. There's no way his team is going to lose. He says he'll soften the sting of defeat by eating you out later. Make you forget about the loss.
Imagine his surprise when your home team starts out strong and his team has to play catch up. Imagine the look on his face when his team loses and you're laughing at him all smug grins and obnoxious gloating. Meanwhile, he's still trying to catch his breath, red and huffy as adrenaline courses through his veins.
"What was that you were saying about 'not losing' and 'eating me out'?" You rag on him, too high on your team's win to realize you're poking the bear. "Something about 'softening the sting of defeat?'"
"Keep laughing, see where it gets you."
"What's that? I can't hear you over my team beating yours."
"Oh, yer gonna be gaggin' on it if you don't quit it, bon."
"Just like how your team choked up and kept fumbling the puck?"
"Gonna count to three if you don't haud yer wheesht."
"Why not up to five? That's what the winning team's score was."
"One."
"Or is it because you'd rather count the losing team's- sorry, your team's- score?"
"Two."
"Or are you tryna make yourself feel better about it?"
"Three. Let's go for a walk, love."
"Hey, have I ever shown you that 'I'm in danger' meme? Cuz, I think it's a perfect representation of what I'm feeling right now."
You know you're in no true danger, but he does drag you into the locker room to fuck your mouth. It's enough to soften the defeat and shut you up... for about a minute. And then you're going back to gloating again, not even caring about getting an orgasm yourself. For now, your team beating his is all the satisfaction you need.

id be so annoying about the win, i wouldn't let him forget it

Len and Tommy's life told through nine photos ~
A fanart based on the Inside no 9 episode 'Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room' because I loved it so much!
(09/2024)
See below for close ups and unnecessarily detailed explanations of each individual artwork lol
First wanna say that I spent wayy too long on these (like 25+ hours), especially trying to make them look like actual old photos lol... also trying to get their likeness right for the various ages was really bloody hard lol, but hopefully each photo has the essence of each character even if it might not look 100% right pfft...
Second thing is that the dates & locations are very much my own subjective thoughts on their life and not particularly rooted in the canon of the show lol
Also I did go really heavy with the colour symbolism lol...
Ravenhill School, 1965.
The year they met, both are around the age of 10 (give or take). Len is 3 from the left in the top row, Tommy 2 in from the left on the bottom row (also I tried to include references to the other 2 League Of Gentlemen guys... Though I think the only vaguely recognisable one is Jeremy pfft)
Also shout out to @lapis-lazuliie for the idea that they met at school!
(side note, this is the least detailed of all the paintings not just because I was too lazy to render all those children's faces pfft but ALSO because of the significance of them being less recognisable or prominent in each other's lives in this point...)
I was planning on making another childhood/early teen photo but couldn't really think of any good subject matter that could also fit thematically with the episode (also the fact both are coming from poor families who would have had limited access to cameras in this era means we can just pretend that there are just no photos that really exist of them at these ages pfft...)
Photo booth in Leeds, 1974.
Both in their late teens, they'd (well, mainly Tommy) gone to a photo booth in Leeds with the intention of getting some professional looking photos only for Len to immediately make Tommy laugh once they got in there lol
The middle photo is covered in lines as Tommy had planned on throwing it away, only to find he couldn't bring himself to do it in the end... Is it platonic? Romantic? Both? Who knows, you decide lol! I mainly wanted it to be a candid moment between two people that love each other lol
(final one is them play fighting because that's kinda just what 19 year olds are like pfft... also I think photo booths technically gave you 4 photos? so let's pretend there was another photo that they did throw away for whatever reason lol...)
Rehearsals, 1979.
Deep in the midst of practising their routine for some of their first performances!
I'll admit this photo was mainly me wanting to include something more episode specific lol and also to get in some much needed heavy handed symbolism (the crease in the photo separating them, the bottle in front of Len's face, etc)
Polaroids taken at Tommy's flat, 1985.
In-between shows the two often spent a lot of time at Tommy's place (featuring that god awful sofa the previous home owner had left). I did originally plan to have them in the sofa shot together, but was finding it hard to figure out who would have been taking that kind of photo so figured it made more sense to make it shots they took of each other.
Also marks the beginnings of Tommy's weariness (& Len's over drinking...)
Outside the Glasgow Pavilion, 1988.
The morning of that fateful performance...
Ok not much else I wanna say about this other than the reference I used for the pose had Reece sorta awkwardly clasping his hands in front of him which I really liked but unfortunately in my art it just looked like he was trying to cover his crotch so I had to change it pfft...
Tommy standing at Len's grave, 2024.
The sixth anniversary of Len's death, and the sixth time Tommy has travelled across from France to lay flowers at his grave. Photo taken by Leanne from the inside of a taxi (I'd like to have had more references to her in these photos but was unsure of dates/ages where it would have fitted...)
She couldn't get her phone to not focus on the raindrops on the window as she tried to take a picture of Tommy at her father's grave but then realised that she actually liked the pathetic fallacy and had it made into a print anyway lol (look I'll be the first to admit that this is the least 'realistic' in terms of a photo that people would take, but I couldn't resist the symbolism of it lol...)
There were a lot more ideas for photos I wanted to do but for obvious reasons had to keep it to just 9 lol
Also will be posting these on my ao3 with snippets of stories to go with each photo so keep an eye out for when I share that link!
#artists on tumblr#inside no 9#bernie clifton's dressing room#tommy drake#len shelby#reece shearsmith#steve pemberton#in9#inside no 9 fanart#digital art#digital painting#i love these two and this episode so much so maybe i'll do more art? who knows

Your writings are so good that I’m entrusting you with this simple prompt: Dragon Hybrid Price and (Any Hybrid) Nikolai.
Do what you will dear wizard writer.
For the sheer sake of you never implied how silly I could get with this, I'm sillying it up:
Bear hybrid Nikolai [because it's too fucking good] and dragon hybrid Price standing about one day, the two sergeants and the lieutenant are training together while the older two men watch. They're on someone else's base, a hybrid-less base but they're making do with what the have.
John's leaning back against the wall, wings pressed up against the brick in a way that has to be uncomfortable or at least that's what everyone assumes. He's rubbing at the base of one of his horns as if trying to soothe a headache and he looks quite frankly exhausted when another Captain appraoches.
John decides that in comparison to this man, he looks like Marilyn fucking Monroe.
"Captain Givens, you look about as good as I feel." John is at least trying to keep a good relationship with the other team even if they have a habit of pissing off each of them.
"Too fuckin' right. Just got off the phone with the Missus and had to help her convince my little boy not to shove his Batman figure up his nose. It's exhausting." The man complains, running a hand over his face tiredly.
John makes a sympathetic noise but doesn't hide his amused look. "Oh, I'm all too familiar with that feeling." The other day he'd had to convince a group of rookies that Soap is indeed a liar and that oil paint is in fact not edible just because it has oil in the name.
"You have kids?"
"Yes." John should've been smarter than to think that Nikolai's silence was a good thing, he doesn't get a chance to correct the bear hybrid before the other Captain asks:
"How many?"
"Three." Nikolai tells him while watching the boys train in the distance.
For a brief moment, John wants to tug on one of his fluffy ears and tell him to quit it. On the other hand, fuck it, why not?
"Yeah, three over there are mine. Different mums but I was a bit of a tart back in the day." He's reliant on the fact the human knows nothing about hybrids, specifically dragon hybrids for it to work. It's no secret that dragon hybrids can live a lot longer than the average human if they're careful about it but to those types of hybrids, John is still a toddler, horns still in one piece with wings that are still vibrant and healthy.
He can see the amusement in Nik's big brown eyes, he likes it when John sinks down to his level of teasing humans. The only one exempt was Kate, they respected her too much and she wasn't an idiot, she'd never believe half of the stupid shit they've all told people throughout the years. Besides, Kate is family. She has five hybrids protecting her back and the average CIA agent is still more scared of her.
"Riley, MacTavish and Garrick? They're yours?" The human asks in disbelief. Simon was going to kill him for this later, Kyle and Johnny would inevitably laugh themselves hoarse.
"Aye. Didn't find out about Riley until he was a teenager and his Mum got in contact. Looks fuck all like me but he's certainly mine. Lad certainly wasn't a chipper wee thing but I managed to win him over, SAS was his choice, I just put him on the task force because I owed it to his Mum to keep an eye out." He's talking out of his arse now and he knows it but the captain seems to be hanging on his every word. Nikolai is making the conscious decision to look away from him but he can see the faint shaking of the bastard's shoulders, he's laughing.
"MacTavish was from an eventful night up in Glasgow one evening, we didn't know if he was mine or Nik's until we saw the little blighter's eyes."
Good on Nik for how quickly he sorts himself, turning around and nodding approvingly. "Ah, but young MacTavish has always favoured me. Would've been a good bear cub, very grizzly."
The captain looks over to the three men training with wide eyes, tilting his head as he stares at them all, surveying them before he looks back to John.
"And Garrick is yours too?"
Kyle had been ripping on him for being old earlier so maybe he plays it up just that little bit more.
He nods, looking over at Gaz with the most proud look he can muster, it's real but he can pretend it isn't just for the bit. "He was an angel when he was a tot, good sleeper and learned to talk quick. Was always a little grumpy that he didn't have horns too but he got over it eventually. Got him a blanket with a dragon on it when he was two and he didn't get rid of the thing until he was fifteen. Big Mumma's boy though, spitting image of his mother and more than proud of it."
It almost saddens him that the interaction ends when a sergeant whose name he can't remember calls over the captain about something but the sound of Nik's deep, gruff laughter is anything to soothe his short-lived annoyance.
Truthfully, he forgets about the entire interaction within a few hours until Soap barges into his temporary room on the base with a positively gleeful look.
"Price, I don't know what the fuck you did but Gaz is due to kick yer heed in."
"Excuse me?"
"Givens won't stop asking him about his dragon blankie."
Shit.
"And what's this about you and Nik playing who's the daddy when I was born?"
Shit.
#captain john price#cod nikolai#nikprice#simon ghost riley#john soap mactavish#kyle gaz garrick#kate laswell#this was less about nikprice and more about me having fun but in my defence im not apologising

Don Refri
Pairing: Walter Marshall x Hispanic/Latina! Reader
Summary: Y/N has been the police records clerk for a few months. He’s known as Detective Grumpy to everyone in the district, but she’s the only one who calls him Don Refri. Walter gets jealous when there is a new detective around.
A/N: Walter Marshall is probably my favorite Henry Cavill character to read about, I need more content of him. I’ve also been watching a telenovela and the way Alexander has been acting with Lola when they were fighting, I thought “what if Walter was like this?” So here it is. Also, LATIN PRESENTATION FOR HENRY CAVILL!
For all intent and purposes, this one shot is very humorous, sort of like a sitcom, Walter doesn’t follow canon AT ALL, but I did try to “research” what happens in a precinct.
Y/N was entering the district with a thermos in hand, all bundled up.
“Ay, hace un pinche frío, why the fuck did I move to Minnesota, it’s so cold.” Y/N said as she took off her coat and Matthew started laughing. “Don’t laugh like that, I’m not meant for cold weather.”
“Just start working on something before detective grumpy comes in and starts yelling.” Matthew said, taking Y/N’s coat, folding it.
“I’m not scared of Don Refri, but I will start working because i have to make the case files of whatever criminal is out now so Don Refri and detective Dickerman Can catch them as soon as possible.” Y/N said and she started sipping hot chocolate from her thermos. As she was working, Walter came in. “Good morning, Don Refri.” Walter rolled his eyes at her.
“Morning, Y/N.” Walter mumbled and went to his office. Matthew, Glasgow, and Rachel stared at Y/N. Y/N looked at them.
“What?” Y/N asked.
“You call him Don Refri to his face and he does nothing, but we almost get written up when he overheard us reference him as Detective Grumpy. How is that possible?” Glasgow asked.
“I don’t know, but I’m happy about it, not gonna lie.” Y/N said. She began working on the computer, smiling to herself. No one but her bestie knows about her crush on the grumpy detective.
“I think he has a soft spot for you, what do you think?” Rachel asks.
“Maybe he does.” Y/N replied.
A few moments after creating the case files, Y/N heard Walter yell “Fuck” from his office.
“I wonder what’s got him worked up. Y/N, go check on him.” Matthew said.
“Fine. Now I know how my brother felt when I sent him to ask our mom something.” Y/N said. She got up from her desk and went to Walter’s office, saw that he threw his stuff off his desk and is now running his hand through his hair, exasperated.
“What do you want, Y/N?” Walter asked.
“What’s got you in such a bad mood, Don Refri?” Y/N asked.
“First; you keep calling me that.” Walter started and Y/N rolled her eyes.
“I told you, start being open about your feelings and then I’ll stop calling you don refri, Don Refri.” Y/N replied and Walter rolled his eyes. “What’s the other thing that got you in a bad mood?”
“They’re transferring another detective here.” Walter massaged his temples.
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Y/N asked.
“Not if the detective is a fucking pain in the ass. He hits on anything with skirt.” Walter commented. “He has a womanizer, player kind of reputation and I don’t want that guy in this district.”
“Why is he getting transferred?” Y/N asked.
“Don’t know. Hopefully I have time before this fucker gets here.” Walter starts picking up the stuff he threw and Y/N helped him until they heard a voice.
“Isn’t anyone going to welcome me?” The man sounded arrogant.
“Too late. Let’s go.” Walter said, after putting everything back on his desk and him and Y/N went to the front of the district, Y/N went back to her desk. “Team, this is…what’s your name again?” Walter asked.
“Ha ha, nice to see you haven’t changed. I’m Detective Tyler Delgado, I just transferred here.” Tyler introduced himself.
“Well this is my team, Matthew and Glasgow are technicians, Rachel is a profiler and psychologist, and Y/N here is our records clerk.” Walter introduced them to Tyler.
“Nice to meet you guys.” Tyler said, “Especially you.” Tyler said, looking at Y/N before winking.
“Well, Let’s get back to work.” Walter said, leaving with Tyler.
The day went on Walter and Y/N were the only ones left in the district, she was finishing up the police logs.
“Ugh, i can’t wait to sleep.” Y/N said.
“What did you think of Delgado?” Walter asked.
“I Don’t have much of an opinion of him, he doesn’t look like a fuckboy though.” Y/N commented.
“I never said he was a fuckboy, I said he had the reputation of one, big difference.” Walter said.
“Yeah, whatever. If you’re worried about Rachel going out with him, I don’t think she would fall for any of his ‘tricks’ because of her psychology background.” Y/N commented as she took a sip of soda.
“It’s not Rachel I’m worried about.” Walter replied, looking at Y/N. Y/N looked at Walter with wide eyes and she put her soda down.
“Me? You’re worried about me? Why are you worried?” Y/N asked, please say it’s because you like me she said in her head.
“I just don’t want you to get taken advantage of.” Walter said.
“Do I look easy to you, Walter? I know I’m a few years younger than you but I’m not naive, I know when someone has other intentions, there’s a reason why I wanted to be an FBI profiler.” Y/N said.
“I’m just saying, I saw you and Delgado flirting when he was giving you some files.” Walter said.
“I was being friendly! Por Dios, uno ya no puede ser amable o que?” Y/N said, crossing her arms.
“What does that mean?” Walter asked.
“It means I can’t be nice to someone without being accused of trying to sleep with them.” Y/N said in a huff, packing her bag.
“When did I accuse you that?” Walter asked while raising his voice.
“It doesn’t matter, don refri, I finished, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Y/N said and she left without kissing Walter on the cheek or hugging him.
The next day, Walter was running late because he was talking to Angie about Faye. When he entered the district, he saw Y/N and Tyler talking, as he got closer, he heard part of their conversation.
“It’s a date, I’ll pick you up tonight at 8.” Tyler said, winking at Y/N and walked away. Y/N smiled slightly until she heard Walter.
“What was that about?” Walter asked behind Y/N, scaring her and she put her hand in her chest.
“No me asustes así!” Y/N exclaimed as she hit his arm. Of course it didn’t hurt since Walter works out a lot, but he still winces because that’s how he is with Y/N.
“You’re going out with Delgado? After telling me I shouldn’t worry about you? Are you kidding me, Y/N?” Walter questioned.
“Sabes algo, Don Refri? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were jealous.” Y/N said. Hold up, is he jealous? That HAS to mean he likes me, oh please don’t be such a don refri and tell me you like me, PLEASE! Y/N thought to herself
“I’m looking out for you just like I would look out for Faye and Rachel, I am protective over the women who are close to me, especially with this job. I’ll talk to you later.” Walter said and walked away.
Y/N sat at her desk, very confused over what just happened with the grumpy detective.
A week went by and Walter observed Y/N and Tyler. Whenever they would be together during their lunch break or just together in general, Walter scowled. But one day he was walking by Tyler’s office and he heard something suspicious.
“I’m still at work…yes, I’m going to be late again…I’m sorry, the captain is tougher than at the last precinct…I’ll see you at home, love you, baby.” And Tyler hung up the phone. Walter walked in his office.
“Who were you on the phone with, Delgado?” Walter asked.
“My niece, it’s her birthday today.” Tyler lied, Walter could tell. This wasn’t the first time Walter heard a suspicious phone call like this but it’s the first he confronted Tyler.
“Well then, see you later.” Walter said as he walked out of Tyler’s office. He grabbed his lunch from the fridge, heated it up, and walked back to his office where he would do a background check on Tyler Delgado. “I’m not jealous, Y/N is like a sister to me, I just want to make sure she’s safe.” Walter said to himself as he was checking all the information that he managed to pull up about Tyler.
For what seemed like an eternity to Walter, he found out that Tyler Delgado is married! He took a photo of what he found on the computer, he went into the break room to look for Y/N and he found Tyler leaning in to kiss Y/N so he did what any man would do when they see a married man try to kiss their crush, I mean, their “friend”, and punch them in the face. Walter punched Tyler so hard that Tyler got knocked out and was on the floor, out cold.
Y/N was in shock. “Are you insane?!? Que te pasa?!?” Y/N yelled. “You killed him, you fucking killed him.”
“Oh please, how am i going to kill a man with a single punch, Y/N? Seriously, think.” Walter said.
“Well I don’t know, you work out a lot, you clearly have a lot more muscle than Tyler, you probably killed him.” Y/N said.
“You look at my muscles a lot?” Walter said with a little smirk.
“Don’t change the subject.” Y/N said firmly. Rachel was entering the break room with a box,
“Hey, Matthew brought doughnuts, you guys want some? What the fuck happened here?” Rachel asked when she saw Tyler on the floor and she place the box on the table, closing the break room door.
“Oh well what happened was Don Refri here came in and just punched Tyler for no fucking reason. You’re a psychologist, is this an act of jealousy?” Y/N asked.
“First of all, it wasn’t for no fucking reason, he’s scum, did you know that he’s married?” Walter yelled.
“What?” Both Y/N and Rachel asked,
“Yeah, He’s married, and He’s been married for 4 years.” Walter said
“Ugh, stop lying, Don Refri, and just admit that killed him because you’re jealous and that’s it!” Y/N yelled.
“Jealous? You think I’m jealous, really? Of course I’m not jealous.” Walter said, stepping closer to Y/N, resulting in getting closer to Tyler’s unconscious body.
“Careful, you’re gonna kill him again.” Y/N said.
“How am I gonna kill him again if he’s already dead?” Walter teased Y/N.
“Well, He’s not dead, he’s still breathing.” Rachel said, looking a Tyler, seeing his chest rise and fall.
“Whatever, Rachel, why would you think I’m jealous? Do you really think I’m jealous, Y/N? Please.” Walter asked.
“Mm hmm, sure, and your fits just has a mind of its own? Ah! I cant even speak, I’m so mad, your fist, fist!” Y/N shouted the last part of her sentence.
“I can’t understand what you’re trying to say, speak clearly.” Walter said in a fed up tone.
“I am speaking clearly! Fist, fist, fist! You know what? Say whatever the hell you want, to me, this was a crime of passion, you can’t tell me different.” Y/N said and Rachel just observed their argument while eating a doughnut and drinking her coffee thinking to herself that these two people totally love each other, are at the very least shave feelings for each other.
“Y/N, you can’t possibly be acting this way?” Walter questioned.
“Acting what way, hm?” Y/N asked.
“Like this!” Walter said, gesturing to her with his hands. That’s when Tyler started to come to and he sat up.
“What happened?” Tyler said groggily.
“Shut up!” Walter said, punching him AGAIN. Rachel’s eyes were wide as plates, and so were Y/N’s.
“What’s wrong with you?!?” Both women yelled.
“What? I Don’t like being interrupted while I’m speaking.” Walter stated
“Oh my god, You’re crazy, i need to get out of here.” Y/N said. She left the break room with Walter following her. Walter grabbed her wrist and they walked to an empty interrogation room. “What are you doing, Don Refri?”
“Fuck it.” Walter whispered before kissing Y/N passionately in the interrogation room, only lasting when they were out of breath. Y/N pulled away first.
“What was that, Walter?” Y/N asked. The first time she called him by his first name.
“You wanted me to admit I was jealous, right? Well, here I am admitting that I was jealous of you and Tyler. But i am not lying about him having a wife, I did a background check on him before knocking him out, look.” Walter said, showing Y/N his phone. Y/N grabbed his phone, seeing it was true. “I’ve had feelings for you since you started working here but I am very bad of expressing my feelings, as you point out to me daily.” Walter admitted.
“I have liked you since I started working here too. Does this mean we’re together now?” Y/N asked. Walter chuckled, taking Y/N’s hands in his.
“It means I’m going to take you on a date after our shift is over. Hopefully Tyler doesn’t report me.” Walter said and Y/N laughed.
“You’re probably going to be suspended but you can worry about that later, i have reports to write up.” Y/N said and Walter opened the door for her so they could leave the interrogation room. The first time since becoming a detective, Walter had a smile on his face. It was small, but it was there.

In case you haven't heard, I started a new fanfic on AO3. It's a WIP. The first 5 chapters are posted. More to come in two weeks. (or less.) A wee peek below ⬇️ (Readers can attest. Nothing is what it seems in this story.)
"I Love Her First"
In a small three block radius in Glasgow, Scotland, Claire owns a flower shop and Jamie is a firefighter. Claire and Jamie are best friends and roommates. Claire is in a relationship with Frank. Jamie is happily single. Claire and Jamie's friendship is different than most, but it works for them. When things progress with her and Frank, Jamie has to admit to his real feelings before it's too late.
Chapter 1 "The Firefighter"
I set both slow cookers to low. It will be ready before dinner break with plenty of time to spare. I can see everything from the top floor of the firehouse. The sun is well over the horizon. The shops are open, and a few people meander along the street. Howie, Mr. Johnson’s son, parks in the fire lane in front of his father’s shop. He has been warned a dozen times for that. Agnes across the street waters her flower boxes. She lets them overflow while she waits to catch a glimpse of Mr. Johnson. Her neighbor will complain about the puddles on the sidewalk. It’s a very quiet and predictable neighborhood. Quiet is good and it has been all night. The rest of my crew are sleeping. I have an hour before dayshift shows up. I make myself comfortable on the couch and flip through the channels. My phone buzzes next to me. I tap on the screen. My roommate.
Claire: Sorry I used the last of the milk for my coffee. Could you maybe pick some up on your way home. Please. You know I hate shopping for food. Also Frank is picking me up at the shop for an early dinner before he leaves.
Jamie: I will pick up milk and anything else we need. Send me a list. Have fun with Frank.
Have fun with Frank. Frank and fun do not belong in the same sentence. She loves him. And she’s my best friend and roommate so of course I need to be supportive. Frank and Claire have been together since our final year at Uni. Frank is older. She met him at a party. Ironically the one party Claire went without me. I was on a date. If I was there, things would have played out differently. I would have steered Claire away from Frank. It’s not that I don’t like him. Not at all. He’s fine. He’s just Frank. She can do much better.
Claire: You’re the best. See you later.
Hm. I drop the phone next to me and find a mindless show to pass the time.
I must have dozed off because before I know it I hear the banging of the lockers downstairs. “Jamie, my boy. You’ve done it again. Smells incredible. What is it?” Dougal, the fire chief, deep voice echoes in the quiet lounge.
“My Ma’s beef stew. I may have tweaked the recipe. Threw in some extra spices.” I stretch and look at my watch. “In 7 hours turn the knob to ‘keep warm’. You’ll be all set to eat.”
He searches the counter. “Did you make the biscuits too?”
“Aye. They’re in the fridge with instructions.”
“Ah you’ve done good, kid. Now get out of here.” He pats me on the back. I take one step towards the door and the alarm blasts. Dougal rushes to his office. I follow him and lean against the door frame.
He looks up from the screen. “Fire at Sullivans Bakery. We got this. Go.”
“You sure?”
“Go. You need your sleep.” He waves me off. I grab my things and run down the back stairs to stay out of the way. The sirens blare loud enough to alert the whole neighborhood and surrounding ones too. I head in the direction of the flat that Claire and I have shared for the past four years. It’s three blocks from the firehouse. I stop at the corner store to pick up milk and a few other things. My phone buzzes. Another text from Claire reminding me to feed DB. Our cat. Claire named him David Beckham. I quickly shortened it to DB. I climb the stairs to our top floor flat and open the door. Immediately I feel stifled. Claire likes it a balmy 74 degrees year-round. I on the other hand prefer it frigid. I lower the temp and climb into bed with the tv remote..
Hours later, I wake to the sound of my alarm. The remote sits on the bed next to me. I was asleep before I even had a chance to watch the morning news. The tv hums quietly on the wall across from me. I scroll through the channels. Station after station no mention of the early morning fire at the bakery. It’s in the other direction of Claire’s flower shop so no worries there. I pick up my phone. A bunch of missed texts. Claire sent me a picture of a flower arrangement. She does that when she’s particularly proud of one. A text from Rupert going into great detail about the fire this morning. Electrical. Everyone is safe. That’s the important part. Another text from Chloe canceling our plans for tonight. Time to get up. I shower, throw on a t-shirt and gym shorts. DB naps comfortably on the windowsill. I order a pizza. Half pepperoni. Half plain.
I settle on the couch with the pizza on the coffee table and beer in my hand. The doorknob wiggles. Claire. She always has trouble with the lock. I hear voices. She didn’t bring Frank here, did she? She wouldn’t do that. Not since last time and that disaster. She pushes the door open and quickly closes it. She’s alone. I can relax.
She whispers, “Mrs. Cook is such a talker. I lied and said I wasn’t feeling well to get away.” She looks at the pizza then back to me. “Why are you here?”
“Pfft. Hello to you too, Claire.” I take a swig of beer and take in her outfit for the first time. Sleeveless, tight black dress emphasizing her generous curves, bare legs. I quickly focus on something else before she catches me.
She throws her bag on the counter. “Tsk. You’re cranky.”
“My date canceled.”
“What was her name again?”
I grunt. “Chloe.”
“Aw. Why did she cancel?” She sits next to me on the couch.
“She didn’t say. It was a second date. No big deal. I wasn’t that into her.”
“That’s right. She was the low talker. Played with her hair too much.”
“Mm hm.” I reach forward to take another slice of pepperoni and offer her a slice of plain. She takes it happily. Her tongue moistens her lips after the first bite. She groans and leans forward to see the top of the box. Her dress rides a little higher. Now I’m licking my lips. She hums, “Antonio’s. You went all out tonight.”
She settles in next to me. We sit shoulder to shoulder. “How’s Frank?” I ask because I should.
“Frank. He’s good.” She takes a bite and snuggles closer. I glance at the goosebumps on her thighs. The air is too cold. That will be the next thing she says. “What’s the temperature in here?”
“Don’t you worry about that.” I mumble and close the pizza box. I stretch my legs out on the coffee table, and she does the same. I follow the lines of her long legs. “Frank was ok with you wearing those?” I point to her strappy black stilettos.
“No. Of course he wasn’t. I was eyeball to eyeball with him. I might have been even a little taller. Whatever. They look cute with the dress.”
“Mm hm.” I agree and laugh at something on tv.
“Oh shit. I just remembered what I wanted to tell you!” She grabs my forearm. “Frank wants to get a tattoo. Can you believe it?”
“Uh no. Frank. Christ no. What and where?”
“The symbol for doctors. Whatever they call that…on his bicep. He’ll never go through with it.” She shrugs. “It’s a pity. I do think they’re sexy.”
“You do?”
“Oh yea. Major turn on.”
“Really? Do you think I should get one?”
She twists her body to face mine. “Hm. I think one right here would be hot.” She places her hand on my left pec and squeezes. “Your fire station number or truck. Flames. Or…” She traces a design with her fingertip. I grab her wrist and kiss the inside.
Her breath catches. “Jamie.”
“Claire.” I hold her gaze.
“What are you thinking?” She bats her lashes.
“I’m thinking my date cancelled. Frank’s gone. It’s still early. I thought maybe we could…” I waggle my eyebrows.
She holds back a smile. “I mean we’ve already seen all the latest releases on Netflix.”
“True. And you’ve been stressed with work and such.” I toy with the hem of her skirt.
“It does relax me. Will you go down on me?”
“Aye. If you like…” My cock twitches.
“I like.” She giggles. I stretch my neck and ask for her mouth. She holds up her finger. “Ah ah. You know the rules. No kissing.”
“Claire.” She has all these stupid rules. No kissing. No sleeping in the same bed. Not during the day. She used to make me shut the lights too. I got that one overturned. I want to see her.
“Jamie.” She gives me a stern look.
“Fine. Take your panties off.”
She stands before me and raises her dress. Tiny black lace panties. A scrap of fabric. A thrill runs through me knowing Frank hadn’t a clue what his lass had on under her dress. But I do. Fuck I do. I salivate knowing what comes next. She pushes them over her hips. I slide to the floor and rest my head back on the cushions.
“Sit on my face, Claire.” My voice is hoarse with desire. She straddles me and lowers her body until she meets my mouth. I have the best view in Glasgow. No. The world. She holds onto the back of the couch and rides my face. I’m relentless. I want her to come and quick because I’m aching for my turn. I clasp onto her hips and double my efforts. She calls out. Nothing incoherent either. She’s very clear. My name followed by instructions. It’s a major turn on. I don’t care if the whole building can hear us. Yeah our neighbors suspect something. Frank doesn’t. That’s all the matters. Because if he found out I fuck his girlfriend, she would end this. And that cannot happen.
“Oh God, Jamie. Yes. Yes. Don’t stop.” She holds my head in place as she comes all over my chin. I lick up every last drop. She moans. “Christ. You’re so good at that….”
I pant, “Get down here and ride me.”
“Don’t you want me to return the favor?” She moistens her lips. I’m tempted. Very tempted.
“Next time. You’re tight and soaking wet. I want to be in you.” I push my gym shorts down. My cock springs free. “Get on.”
She raises her eyebrows. “Condom.” I open the coffee table drawer and she takes one out of the small box hidden in the back. We learned a long time ago to keep them close by. She rips the wrapper off with her teeth and covers my cock. She lowers herself down taking me whole. My head rolls back. I pull her dress off and undo her bra. She likes to stay covered. I’m not having it. I like her breasts bouncing in my face.
"Did you feed remember to feed DB?" She changes her angle. Christ.
I grunt. "Yes. I fed him."
"I'm worried about him. He's moving slower than normal." She pants as she picks up the pace.
"He seems fine to me."
“Jamie.”
“What?”
“I’m going to come again.” She bucks her hips furiously.
“Ok, so?”
“I didn’t want to catch you off guard. Then you’ll get excited and it will end too soon. You hate that.” She never stops riding me. We’ve gotten very good at having full conversations while fucking.
“I do. But contrary to what you think, I do know when you’re close. There’s no catching me off guard.”
“You know?”
“Aye. Your walls squeeze my cock so tight sometimes I think you are going to break it off.” I smirk. “There’s other signs too.”
“Like what?”
Careful. “Other stuff.”
“Tell me.”
“You make noises.” And your face has the sweetest, sexiest expression sometimes I think about it when I’m not with you, and I get hard.
“I do not.” She pouts. It’s too cute. I lift her up and slam her down. My balls are getting tight.
“Oh aye. And loud too.”
“Do I feel like I’m close now?”
“No. But I can make you.” I bite my lip and sit up straight until her legs spread wider. I take her nipple in my mouth and suck hard. She whimpers and her head rolls back. That’s it. There we go.
“Oh Jamie. Yes.”
“You’re tight and very close. Ride me and we’ll come together.” And she does. My balls ache. She’s going to have rug burn at this rate. “That’s it, lass.”
She frowns.
“I mean, Claire.” I give her a tight smile. She laughs. It does something. It vibrates through her. Through me. There we go. Her mouth pops open. I’m tempted to kiss her. As I always am. It doesn’t mean anything. It’s only natural. I slam her down one last time. We both call out. I can almost hear our neighbors cursing us out.
I rest my head on her shoulder while we catch our breath. She goes to pull away. I bite her. “Jamie! Let go.”
I release my grip. She stands and walks away still wearing her stilettos. I watch from the living room floor. She’s right. It’s never long enough and I hate it. She tosses me a box of tissues and a water bottle before she enters her bedroom. Minutes later I hear her shower running. I would join her if this was more than sex but it’s not.

miles kane, swg3 glasgow 01/02/2024
oh my god oh my GOD i don't even know where to start. last night was hands down not just one of the best gigs of my life, but one of the best nights of my life full stop. it's twenty four hours later and my heart just feels so full and i still can't stop smiling with pure happiness 🥹 i've been to a LOT of gigs over the years, and a lot of those have been really amazing gigs too - but this one. wow. there was truly just something so special about this one that i know i'll carry with me for a long time to come 💗
i feel like i could ramble endlessly about all the things that made it so incredible (i.e. literally everything), so to try and avoid writing an actual essay, here are a few bullet points of my favourite things:
being right in the front row was AMAZING for obvious reasons, but also because of the number of times miles made eye contact with me and smiled at me as he was singing 😭 (naturally any time this happened i smiled back like a total idiot and forgot all the words) me and the lovely human i was there with were the only ones at the barrier who were really getting into it at the start, and i got the sense he loved seeing how much we were loving being there 💗
miles just has the most incredible energy ✨ that's absolutely something you pick up from listening to his music, watching interview etc - but it's quite something else to experience in person. the moment he walks into a room he just gives off such good vibes and such warmth. there's such a sense of groundedness to him as well as all the amazing passion, and also idk. i feel like in person you can really feel the sensitivity and vulnerability that's so present in his music too. he truly lights up a room and just has such a knack for holding everyone captive 💫
getting to witness miles being overwhelmed and unable to stop smiling at how enthusiastic the crowd was truly wonderful 🥹 you could just *feel* how much it all meant to him, and watching him get all the love and appreciation he deserves was just magic 💖
at the end, he came down into the crowd towards me and was making direct eye contact and then he FUCKING SPOKE TO ME??????? 😭 i was too dazed to actually take in what he was saying (i'm pretty sure it was something along the lines of "i like your necklace" but honestly who knows lol), and it was very brief because naturally i wasn't the only person in the crowd he was saying hi to, but fucking HELL. i was totally, totally unprepared 😭 i then had the privilege of a sweaty miles kane leaning over me to high five the people behind me, and i held his hand and - yeah. it was all so truly surreal that i might think i'd imagined it if it wasn't for the fact i can literally see the moment in this video 😭
i was there with @perfectly-clear-from-here and we were both just utterly ECSTATIC after the show, it was amazing getting to share the sheer giddy joy of all that with one of the loveliest humans i know 💜
and then of course (as if all of that wasn't already enough to make it the most wonderful night), we MET MILES after the show 😭😭 i've already rambled about that here so i won't do it again, but - yeah. let's just say he truly is the most wonderful person with the loveliest energy, and he is so easy to be around 🥹
the last six months or so have not been easy ones for me, and this felt like the most wonderful break in the clouds that just - idk. really restored me to myself. it was so special to get to experience live so many of the amazing songs that have got me through and been such a comfort in the difficult times, and i am just so endlessly grateful to miles for his courage in creating and sharing all that he shares 💗
**please do not repost my photos without permission**
#sorry for posting so much about the show but i am just SO STUPIDLY HAPPY 🥹🥹#i have a bunch more videos that i'll share at some point#including the most beautiful and heartfelt 'don't forget who you are' 💗#AHHHHHHHHHH#it was quite honestly the most perfect experience i could have dreamed of 💖#just look at his happy little face 🥹#i'm so so glad to have been able to help make him feel the impact of his music and how utterly cherished it is by so many people 💗#(please forgive me and my soppiness - i haven't come down from my post gig high yet 😭)#miles kane#one man band#omb tour#omb era#mk glasgow 2024#my show#lulu posts

If anyone knows a thing or two about sex scenes, it’s Sam Heughan. Over the past decade, the 43-year-old Scottish star of Outlander, the cult-hit historical drama, has filmed hours of notoriously raunchy footage in his role as Jamie Fraser, the dashing 18th-century Highland rebel, with his wife, Claire – a time-traveller from the 20th century, played by Caitríona Balfe.
Yet two years ago, Heughan, as one of the executive producers (with Balfe), introduced an intimacy co-ordinator to choreograph such scenes, which had been criticised by many as excessively violent.
“The industry’s completely changed since Outlander started,” Heughan says, sitting in a Soho bar on a visit to London from his home outside Glasgow. “Not just our show but also shows like Game of Thrones were very graphic, with no room for the imagination, in a way that’s quite jarring now. As young, keen actors, we were just expected to get naked and go at it. Caitríona and I formed a bond and trusted each other, but there were times when we were pushed too far.” He was especially troubled by a scene involving full-frontal nudity in season one, when Jamie was tortured and raped by his rival, Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies). “That really didn’t sit well.”
Everything changed following the MeToo scandal, leading Heughan to employ Vanessa Coffey to choreograph the sex scenes. “So now everyone knows what the boundaries are, like in a football or rugby match. It’s been so helpful and freeing, and it was because I didn’t want younger actors to go through what we’d gone through. Now, the scenes are sexually charged, but not gratuitous.”
Despite his heartthrob status, Heughan – who’s 6ft 2in, with the strapping physique his role necessitates – is modest and thoughtful company. He also had Coffey enlisted to co-ordinate his latest project, Channel 4’s erotic thriller The Couple Next Door, filmed during the short break between Outlander’s seasons nine and 10, in which he plays Danny, a policeman living in a Leeds suburb in an open marriage with Becka (Jessica De Gouw).
“We didn’t want to make a salacious or seedy show about swingers,” Heughan says. “It’s about the psychology behind it – what is it to be in an open relationship where two characters love each other so much that they can invite people into that relationship? I think it’s possibly the greatest form of romance to allow your partner this, if it’s the itch they need to scratch. My character struggles with it.
The couple’s (initially) strait-laced neighbours are played by Alfred Enoch and Eleanor Tomlinson, who in 2019 finished five seasons as Demelza in Poldark. With Outlander about to start filming its final season, she and Heughan compared notes on moving on from a huge, long-running costume drama.
“It’s emotional. For me, the prospect’s hugely bittersweet. It feels like getting out of an institution. Outlander’s like a family, it literally defines who I am.” After all, Heughan has created an empire of Outlander spin-offs, including books, television travelogues and his spirits brand, The Sassenach – named after Jamie’s nickname for the English Claire – not to mention his charity, My Peak Challenge, which has raised nearly £5 million to fund a variety of causes, including hunger relief and blood-cancer research. “I’m ready for new challenges, but also nervous about what it’s like in the real world,” he says.
Still, he felt now was the right time to wrap. “Outlander could have finished after the ninth season, but, personally, I felt we hadn’t quite got there. So now we have the problem of pushing the writers to do something that’s hopefully satisfying for the audience, but also exciting.” So Heughan doesn’t yet know how Outlander ends? “No idea, and it’s really tough because Diana [Gabaldon, the author on whose novels the series is based] has written so many books.”
The show has a vast international fanbase; VisitScotland has cited a 67 per cent rise in visits to the show’s locations, such as Culloden and Inverness. “I do feel like I’m an unofficial ambassador for Scotland, and sometimes I don’t think the show is given enough credit for what it’s done for Scottish tourism,” Heughan says. “I think the numbers are even bigger than they say, because reams of Americans are just making their own itineraries. Doune Castle’s numbers are up 800 per cent, it’s been completely renovated as a result.”
The show has also transformed the local film industry. “For 10 years, we’ve been employing people at over 200 Scottish locations, we’ve started an intern scheme, we’ve built a studio with five sound stages where there was nothing before. So it’s going to leave a legacy.”
The son of an artist single mother (his father walked out when he was a baby), Heughan spent his early childhood in the Borders, his teens in Edinburgh, before studying at Glasgow’s Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where his mentor was third-year student James McAvoy.
Having worked in London and Los Angeles, Heughan fell back in love with Scotland when he was cast in Outlander. Initially against independence, filming the first season in the run-up to the 2016 referendum transformed him into a vocal advocate. “Scottish politics right now is a bit of a mess, which is a shame, but maybe they’ll find a new rallying cry. We’re a great wee country with amazing resources, most of which are controlled by the British. Similar small European countries have great identities.”
Initially, Heughan is hesitant to discuss the issue, aware taking either side will provoke a social-media backlash, but then he decides: “Why can’t actors have opinions? The problem is you have to come down on one side, there is no room for debate. Everything has become so aggressive and then social-media algorithms mean you only get to see one side of the argument.”
He had his fingers burnt when last month he signed an open letter from Artists for Palestine UK, alongside the likes of Tilda Swinton and Steve Coogan, which accused the Government of “aiding and abetting” Israeli war crimes, but failed to condemn Hamas’s terrorism. The following day, Heughan rescinded, saying he hadn’t “fully understood” what he was signing.
“I was maybe naively calling for peace, which is what we all want, but, unfortunately, that situation is so complex, I can’t understand it all,” he says now. “As an actor, you have a platform, but if you put your thoughts out there, you upset people, but you’re also damned if you don’t say anything.”
Heughan’s taking time to navigate a potential post-Outlander career path. “I’m a workaholic, but I have to be discerning. Whatever I do next, I have to feel really passionate about.” Possible plans include directing and exploring a different side to Scotland than misty heather and bagpipes. “I think that underbelly you see in [Ian Rankin’s] Rebus and Irvine Welsh is very interesting, there are still pockets that are very hard and gritty.”
Back in 2005, he auditioned for James Bond in Casino Royale – the role that eventually went to Daniel Craig. Now, there’s a new vacancy. “I’ll throw my hat in the ring,” he says, grinning. “I’d be a brilliant Bond, I’m good at action and I’d bring a lot of emotional intelligence.”
There might even be space for a personal life. Heughan’s mystified by “facts” he reads about his private life online. “There’s so much nonsense that’s completely false – apparently, I have a daughter. News to me!” he says, flushing. The truth, he says, is that Outlander leaves no time for relationships.
“It’s insane hours and takes over everything. Caitríona’s carved out a beautiful family for herself that she protects very well, but I’ve seen how hard it is for her to do that. I want a cat, but I’m too scared even for that, how would I look after it? One day, maybe,” Heughan says, dreamily.
Posting again as some people had difficulty opening the previous link.

I love you, don't you mind? - Matty Healy One Shot
A/n: hello 👋🏼 this week had be one of the best weeks of my life. I've met some of my friends on here irl for the first time and seen my boys twice and been so close to Ross and Matty (still recovering btw). Safe to say all this happiness has inspired me and I started writing again (about time right?). Anyway here's something I wrote Sunday after seeing @poisonmedaddy13 @achangeofheartx.
I don't really know what this is but I wrote something 🤣 hope you enjoy
Warnings: mentions of cheating
He calls in the middle of the night, or it's the middle of the night where she is. He knows her better than anyone, which is why he knows it's okay to call her at this time.
He's leaning against the tour bus, cigarette threaded between his lips as he inhales. The phone rings four times before she picks up and he can hear rustling on her side of the line. He knows better than to think he woke her up, or to think the noise is her stirring in her bed. Knowing her she's probably in her living room with a thick blanket covering her frame, adorning one of his hoodies, glasses resting on the tip of her nose and a book in her hands.
He misses watching her read, loving the way even now, as an adult, her red manicured fingernails would skim the pages, following the words as her mouth moved, reading the words to herself silently. He missed it even more when he thought back to how she looked in those moments, hair askew on her head, post-fuck glaze on her skin, adorning nothing but his white shirt, two buttons done up, barely covering her form.
"Ello love, didn't wake you did I?" He asks, his tongue resting against the inside of his cheek after his words, smirking to himself.
"What do you want Matty?" Her words aren't harsh, just direct, but they still sting a little.
"can't I just call you and check in?" He asks and he hears her chuckle, and then another rustle on the end of the line. She sighs and Matty hears her put something down, probably her book. He's tempted to FaceTime her but it was too risky. He didn't want anyone knowing who he was talking to if they were to come out from the bus. But he can't deny how badly he wants to see her.
"Matthew" she warns.
"I miss you" he finally admits "like I really miss you..." She sighs again and it makes him frown.
"Where are you right now?" She asks. He hates that she doesn't tell him she misses him too, he hates that she just ignores his words.
"Glasgow" he admits "London in two days..." The pin drops for her and she frowns.
"You know you can't see me Matty" his heart breaks at that.
"Why love? I really miss you" he hasn't seen her since the bands little break and even then their time together was fleeting. Matty had to squeeze her in somewhere but balancing her and his girlfriend was difficult. Deep down he knew if he could have it his way, there would be no girlfriend.
He felt awful admitting that. Truly awful. It was complicated. He had tried to explain it to George once when he asked. It had tried to explain that she was the one that got away (despite the fact he still had her, just not in the way he truly wanted), that she was it for him but he had always convinced himself that he wasn't it for her. That doubt plagued his life and consequently stopped their affair from progressing, mainly because he was in fact, already in a relationship.
"Is she with you?" She asks and Matty frowns. From where y/n sits, she plays with the hem of her (his) jumper, it doesn't smell like him anymore but it still brings her comfort. She does miss him, more than anything. She loved him, truly truly loved him. But she too had her doubts, she believed if he loved her, he wouldn't have entertained another woman, wouldn't be in a relationship.
"No..." He admits. She's silent for a few moments, she knew the answer before she even asked.
"Maybe you should think about who you really miss" she says, her voice is sad and he hates that. Really hates that.
"What do you mean love? Do you not want to see me?" He asks, deflecting from what she was insinuating. She sighs and runs a hand through her hair.
"You know I do Matty but that's not the point... I'm not the one you miss Matty, you're just projecting" she explains and Matty sighs, taking a long inhale of his cigarette before dropping it to the floor.
"Don't do all that therapist shit on me Y/n. I think I know who I miss thank you very much" he says, his voice clearly laced with annoyance.
"Matty..."
"what?!" He snaps.
"If you don't miss her... And it's me who you miss, why are you still with her?" She asks and Matty takes a few seconds to reply and when he does he only stutters, an answer not coming when he wants it to.
"Exactly Matty..."
"Love please"
"No Matty... Look I better go, it's late and I'm tired" she lies "good luck with the shows Matty, you'll smash it, as always" he hears the smile in her voice and his heartbeat doubles tenfold.
"Will you be there? At one of the shows?" He asks.
"I don't think that's such a good idea Matty"
The couple had been arguing all day, the band didn't know the reasons why but they had their suspicions. They all knew Matty's feelings towards Y/n, he was obsessed with her ever since she stepped foot in their lives. They all loved her dearly but Matty's feelings had always been different. He always mentioned that he'd never love anyone like he loved her. Of course that didn't stop him from being with other people.
No one knew of their secret affair... Until now.
His girlfriend had her suspicions ever since they started dating, and she feels stupid now, believing him at the start when he said nothing was going on between them.
He stands here now, backstage, eyes trained on Y/n's who stands next to George and Charli. George's hand is resting around her shoulders casually and she smiles up at the drummer.
She said she wouldn't be at the show, but here she was. Looking as beautiful as ever. She catches his eyes and smiles at him. He missed the way his heart ran at a thousand miles a minute every time he looked at her and the way his line of vision somehow managed to find her every time she was in a room.
She really tried resisting being here but when one Ross MacDonald and one George Daniel kept begging her to come, she found it extremely hard to say no. What eventually caused her to break was a phone call from Adam.
"It's our last show in London Y/n... I'm afraid Matty might kill someone if his best friend doesn't show up" she felt immediately guilty, not only for letting her 'best friend' down, but also for the fact she had been lying to the guys for so long. Keeping this massive secret from them.
She also felt guilty for the girl clinging to Matty's arm. She was lovely, the fans loved her and she was deserving of Matty. How could she do this to her?
Her eyes flick between Matty and Y/n before she turns from them, walking in the opposite direction. Matty doesn't notice at first, too concentrated on Y/n. A nod of her head from y/n in the direction his girlfriend has just gone causes him to realise. And he reluctantly follows.
He meets her in some hallway somewhere, she's pacing, her eyes are glazed over slightly and he knows he's in trouble then.
"Hey what's up?" He asks, hand finding her shoulder but she flinches away.
"you know when we first started dating, I knew you liked her... But I ignored it" she laughs then before she continues "I thought it didn't matter, it was just a crush and you might like me more" she blinks but no tears fall.
"I was so stupid" she says.
"What are you talking about love?" He says.
"you and her!! I know you've been cheating on me with her okay? But I ignored it, because I thought it was just fucking, I didn't realise...." She halts.
Matty stands there speechless, not knowing what to say. She knew? How did she know?
"You're in love with her aren't you?" She asks, coming to stand right in front of him, one hand resting against his face. Her grasp is gentle, not that he deserves it.
He loves Y/n more than anything in the world, more than anyone. It doesn't excuse his infidelity, nothing would. But he loves her. He's known he's loved her for as long as he's known her.
He nods, one simply gesture that makes her back away.
"Why did you start this" she gestures between them "if you were in love with her"
"Because I thought you might be the one who would make me forget her" he says, it's a sad truth and it hurts her but at least she was being honest.
"and?" She can sense there's more.
"And... Because I knew that although I loved her... She didn't love me back, not in the way I loved her"
"god Matty..." She steps forward again and places her hands against his face softly. Her black manicured fingertip grazes his mouth and she smiles. She was being far too kind to him, he didn't deserve this.
"You can be so stupid some times" she says.
"What do you mean?"
"have you ever asked her how she feels?" He shakes his head "and has she ever told you that she doesn't love you?" He shakes his head again.
"Then maybe you should ask her" she leans forward slightly, pressing her lips to his once in a brief kiss.
"Bye Matty... I hope she makes you happy, you deserve it" how can she say that he deserves it? He just admitted to cheating on her and being in love with another girl? He definitely didn't feel like he deserved it.
She begins to walk away but he takes her arm in his hand gently, halting her movements.
"I'm so sorry" he says sincerely. She doesn't say it's okay, because it's not, it's far from it. But she smiles.
"Just make it worth it Matty... Don't coward out. Go tell her"
He manages to get through the show without messing up. He manages to forget about it all for the performance, giving the audience the show they deserved. One worthy of the last one for a while.
She's there when he leaves the stage, she's hesitant to hug him but when she does he grips on tightly.
"that was amazing Matty... Really truly amazing" she says, pulling back to smile at him.
"hey can I talk to you for a moment?" He asks and she raises her eyebrows and shakes her head.
"not for that... I really need to talk to you" he says. She looks worried and he shakes his head. Intertwining their hands and gently pulling her into a room somewhere.
"What's up?" She says as she walks into a room, she turns to find him pressed against her front, hands coming to rest against the wall on either side of her head, knowing she'd would try to escape if he didn't do this.
"do you love me?" He asks.
"Matty what? Let's not do this please, your girlfriend is here" she argues.
"No she's not, and she's not my girlfriend. Now answer my question, do you love me?" She's speechless, mouth falling agape. It's a lot to take in and she really has to force the smile away at the news. She felt horrible for that.
"Did you break up?" She asks and Matty nods.
"Why?"
"Because I'm in love with someone else" he says, smiling down at her.
"Matty..."
"Tell me you love me" he says, leaning forward until their lips graze.
"You know I do Matty... But we don't deserve this... We were horrible to her Matty. I never thought I would be that person... The other woman"
"you're not the other woman though Y/n. You're the woman, always have been. I wouldn't have ever been with her... Or anyone else if I knew you loved me" he admits and she frowns.
"I love you Matty, so much. But I can't do this I'm sorry" she says, ducking under his arm until she's free from him. He spins though, quicker than her, grasping her until she's on his embrace again.
"no I'm not letting it end like this. I love you y/n, so much. You're it for me okay? Always have been, and I'm sorry I made such a mess of things. And I'm sorry I put you in an awful position. But I can't let you go, I just can't. I'll break if you leave here tonight and you're mine. I'll break y/n" his words are rushed but she catches every single one of them. She sighs, she knew she didn't deserve this, didn't deserve him, but her body fails her and she leans forwards.
She has to crane her head slightly to reach him, gently pressing their lips together. It takes him a moment to react, just one brief moment before his lips are pressing back against hers. She feels a tear coat her cheek and she pulls back when she realises it's not hers.
Her eyes hover over his eyes, tears falling down his cheeks. She places a hand against his face, thumb gently swiping at his cheek.
"Matty why are you crying?" She asks, noticing the way he was smiling too. He grips her tighter and places another brief kiss to her mouth.
"I'm just happy... I have wanted you entirely... For so long. And I'm sorry I made a mess of everything. I wish I had done things differently. I wish I had just told you from the start, because I've always loved you Y/n and I always will" his words make her smile.
"I love you too Matty" she leans forward again and they kiss until their lips are swollen and their breaths are bated, and until they're not sure where one begins and one ends.
Sometimes they think back to that day and the days that preceded them. They think back to how they hurt people along the way. But love isn't easy, love is messy and unkind. But it's also beautiful. It can be pure and it can cure the hearts of broken souls. She cured Matty's heart, she brought the light into his life, little rays here and there until it flooded in. She made him better.
They often wonder whether they were truly deserving of a love so strong. When they announced their engagement to the world, they got a message from Matty's ex, "proud of you Matty" it read "you got the girl of your dreams". He often wonders what he did for her to be so nice to him after everything that happened. One thing they know for certain, they wouldn't change it for the world.
For he had her, really had her. And he loved her, more than anything in the world.

Stuff We Know About Campbell Bain (From Both the Show and the Play)
Since the play has some things that clash/contradict with the show, things I've taken from the SHOW will be marked (S) and the PLAY (P).
- (P) Campbell comes from a small place (Hector calls it "dead wee") called Invergellen, which is in the middle of nowhere. There are not a lot of job options, but there does seem to be some kind of tourism industry - the only job options Campbell can list are "sheep", "fish" and "tourists".
- (P) Campbell's dad lies about where Campbell is, telling people that he's off doing a youth volunteer placement in Africa. He even makes Campbell lie to his friends about it, too. Campbell says it's because he doesn't want anybody in Invergellen finding out. He also says his dad is reluctant to visit too often, out of fear that people will grow suspicious of his trips to Glasgow.
- (P) Campbell has siblings: an older brother and an older sister. His brother owns his own building company, and his sister works in Forestry - possibly for the government? Regardless, Campbell views his siblings as very successful and compares himself to them. He also believes that his dad compares him to them, and calls himself a "loser" who's "never gonnae amount to anything".
- (S) Despite having many past jobs and dreams he was seemingly dead set on achieving, Campbell states that he's never been good at anything other than the radio. He includes flirting with/getting girls in the things he's bad at. He also only learnt guitar to impress said girls, but must have failed pretty miserably based on his comment.
- (S) Before Campbell came to St. Judes, things must have been hard at home/school. Campbell's dad says that his mother is so worked up about the whole thing that she's had to take medicine, and (P) Campbell says that his dad says he "doesn't want to put (Campbell's aunt) through what (Campbell) put (Campbell's dad) through".
- (P) Campbell is excited when his dad is coming, and he is disappointed with him constantly letting him down/not showing up. I believe that Campbell's parents do love him and do TRY to understand him, but simply don't, and end up thinking/acting selfishly instead. They want to help but do not understand their son, and therefore do not give him the support he needs. Whatever Campbell "put them through" was likely due to them not understanding him or knowing how to react to his condition, or the education system and teachers also struggling to understand and accommodate for his needs.
I assume worry was also a big part of what he "put them through", but the line about Campbell's auntie still rubs me the wrong way.
- (S/P) Campbell's dad believes the radio is just another one of Campbell's "loony ideas" and thinks he is manic. Campbell (P) seems disappointed by this, and says he thought he'd be proud of him. Which is just kind of heartbreaking.
- (P) Campbell has to be wrestled by Stuart as he screams at his dad, the doctor and then eventually Stuart, too, to "fuck off". Which is very sad but also kind of funny because Stuart deserves that. This is after he finds out he has to go back to Invergellen (before he then fakes the manic episode).
- (P) Campbell believed he was the greatest comedian in Britain at one point and even went to the BBC in Glasgow to tell them. They were less eager to give him a chance and ended up calling the police on him. He says it's "kind of how" he "ended up" in St. Judes, which adds a bit of an extra layer onto (S) the police being called on him, Fergus and Rosalie when they snuck out.
There's probably, definitely more that I've forgotten to mention, but there's what I've got. There's obviously also the big difference between the show and the play with Perth/Invergellen, which makes some things canon only in the play and others only canon in the show. I'm totally choosing to take Campbell's siblings from the play and accept them as canon all around though,,, and the extra family details we get too.
OK thats all, stay proud loonies

Go ahead and tell me your fic titled "Glasgow Kiss" <3
Ohhh I love this one I have a few thoughts:
-Ghoap Wrestling AU where that's Soap’s signature move, it's known for being able to take pretty much any opponent down (Imagining Soap with that bright red fake blood creeping down from his hairline and going in his teeth and he smiles all manic AHHHHH imagine the promo for that it'd go so hard!!)
-Ghoap where Soap continues to make references to the mysterious "Glasgow kiss" over and over and Ghost like. Knows what that is but pretends to play along with not knowing. Soap is all tongue in cheek like he's got Ghost fooled, that Ghost must be wracking his brain for what it could possibly mean (Turns out Soap doesn't know what it means. Soap takes Ghost to Glasgow, on a nice date, they are walking on a street watching a sunset and Soap just. Kisses him. Ghost genuinely has to bite his tongue to keep from ruining the moment, Soap is very pleased with himself.)
-SoapGaz where Soap is brainwashed by the enemy and everyone's trying to reason with him (or even just take him down, he's much too dangerous- its all their orders from above, to kill Soap by any means necessary) and at this point maybe it's pre-relationship but it was clear where they were headed together. They are struggling and fighting each other, Soaps got Gaz disarmed and he's got a dagger in his hands trying to kill Gaz, absolutely zero recognition in his eyes of who he was trying to kill- then Gaz headbutts him. Hard as he can. And WHEW it's like a breath of fresh air to see Soap blinking himself back to awareness, crying and trying to hold Gaz close because he's so confused about what's even going on and his love is injured AHHHH
-'09 SoapPrice where they are so repressed it isn't even funny- no time to act out their feelings had they been normal men (would they even be the same had they been born normal, led normal lives?) so their sexual frustration and anger at the world for keeping them apart just turns into actual real violence between them, fighting over mission plans that ends with them falling to the floor with a thud, grappling and snarling at each other. They are yelling things at each other that can both be understood as about the mission and about the love they have for each other they don't have the time or ability to express properly. Ends with Soap reeling his head back, yelling something explicitly about how he feels, then headbutting Price with all his might. They end up with twin scars. (And concussions, probably)
-SoapGraves (I'm sorry you've been dealing with all my soapgraves thoughts recently) but thinking about Soap who is a little more gray area with Graves just because they are in a super toxic situationship and the last physical contact they make is Graves headbutting Soap to knock him out and it absolutely leaves a scar on his forehead, right between his brows, and when people ask him how it felt in that moment, to lie there dazed and betrayed, Soap just runs a finger over the scar and smiles to himself and says that 'it felt like a kiss'.
send me a made-up fic title and i'll tell you what i would write to go with it >:3
#noel.txt#these are all soap focused oops#noel.haps#price x soap#ghost x soap#graves x soap#soap x gaz#gaz x soap#idk which tag i use for them lol#anyways#this also implies im good enough to write the emotional impact of half of these#or that my attention can be kept that logn#long*

Antagonist analysis time!: David Nelson edition (Nick's older brother)
I wouldn't be surprised if Stephane Nelson was more homophobic when the boys were younger. It would explain why David keeps referencing variations on "Dad's not gonna like this" in reference to Nick and Charlie.
And it would make a lot of sense. It reminds me of the quote from I think Bruce Springsteen about how when we miss our fathers, we try to emulate them because it's our only way of feeling closer to them. I think David emulates some version of his father he misses. You see that he behaves that way for him either way when he consistently references him and brings him into the conversation nearly every time he's homophobic or biphobic:
From bringing up "I bet you haven't told Dad yet, have you? Oh my god, image what Dad's gonna say" when he's not there to a direct seeking of approval in "Dad agrees with me" when he's there.
When Nick says he's bringing Charlie, he asks if he can bring someone too. When the whole family comes, he knows it'll be about that, so he tries to take control of the conversation that he can't stop from being about Nick and Charlie by attempting to guide it (and out Nick) himself.
It's then after Nick draws focus by saying he doesn't care about their dad's opinion of him and leaves the room that he says he's "making a scene". Because he's taking their father's attention away from him.
David views Nick as competition. Competition for their father's attention, which is in short supply anyways. He doesn't want to admit that it being in short supply is bad because he doesn't want to blame his dad, so instead, he blames Nick for "stealing" the attention. Because then he can believe that if only Nick would stop "making a fuss", his relationship with his dad would be sufficient and the only thing stopping his dad from giving him the appropriate amount of attention is Nick, not his dad.
And not only is it only after Nick draws attention away from him at dinner that he makes this "attention-seeking" comment, but it is also only after he sees his dad trying to leave without saying goodbye before then in the same conversation forgetting where he goes to school (a wonderfully performed one word line, also. it clearly takes all David's strength to even admit he's wrong enough to correct him and say "Glasgow"). It's only after the window of attention to receive closes completely that he goes on his full rant on the phone, and it's only after his perception of his father has been made fragile with Nick's comments and his father forgetting things about him that he now has to re-emphasize the narrative he tells himself tenfold to make it secure again.
And one more pertinent thing he says on that phone call is that Nick is being over-dramatic. Because if Nick isn't being over-dramatic when he says that their Dad doesn't care and it's messed up for him not to visit more, then that means Nick is right. And if Nick is right, then David has to admit to himself that his Dad is in the wrong, that his Dad is hurting him. That his Dad doesn't care enough about him. And he can't do that.
One last thing he also does is blame Charlie. He says on that phone call that Charlie must be influencing him to be more attention seeking. He also uses the phrase that season "turned my little brother gay" and continues into the next season to describe Charlie as attention seeking. Because he can't truly allow himself to blame Nick either.
His inability to truly blame Nick is the same reason that when we meet him he's teasing him about what he thinks is a girlfriend texting him. He's overstepping and we know from Nick he's been a jerk in the past as well, but the behavior he's exhibiting in teasing him about a girl is something you only do as a misguided attempt to get closer to someone. He's missed Nick too.
It hurts to blame his dad, so he blames Nick. But it hurts to blame Nick too...so he blames Charlie. Charlie who he doesn't know. Charlie who doesn't hurt to blame. Charlie who thinks his dad would blame. Blaming Charlie isn't admitting something he's lost. He hasn't lost Nick, but admitting that takes us all the way back to admitting that he has lost his father. If Nick has become an attention seeker who ruins everything by stealing the attention from their Dad that would be his, that he would visit more, would care more, would remember more, would come to Christmas if it just weren't for Nick. But of course, deep down, that's still his little brother. His innocent little brother so anything that's "caused" his Dad's behavior must not be his fault either. Yes. It must be Charlie's.
It's Charlie's fault Nick is taking his Dad's attention away from him and in season 3, do you know what else is Charlie's fault? That Nick's attention is taken away from him. He only calls Charlie an attention seeker for having an eating disorder on Christmas. Christmas: the day that his dad doesn't show up, in the conversation Nick started with "you know Dad's not coming". He brings up Charlie out of nowhere in direct response to Nick saying their Dad won't come because he makes empty promises.
His dad isn't there; he doesn't wanna blame his dad, but in his dad's absence, he also misses his brother - who's been preoccupied recently with Charlie. There. It's all Charlie's fault. Not Dad's. And when he needs him, not Nick's.
Really, I just realized that that phone call didn't happen for no reason. He was upset enough about dinner that he needed to call someone and vent. At the end of the day, that's what happened. He wasn't making a snide comment. He went somewhere private and called someone he trusted to talk at length about what had happened. That isn't just about Nick being bi. But he couldn't bring himself to admit that he was actually venting about
"David, you have not grown into the man I thought you would become."
And that is also why I would like to shout out the character and Alice Oseman for the inclusion of Nick's Mom calling not David but Stephane out when he tells David "you have not grown into the man I hoped you would become". Because she's right. A brother saying that to his brother and a father saying that to his son are NOTHING alike. She knows immediately how deeply to the core that will cut David and that Stephane didn't even consider it. It is a great "who's the real enemy" moment that reminds us "this is not the non-homophobes versus David, actually. It's a family with a homophobe inside it protecting themselves from the man who left them. It's a mother protecting her children from him." And, as she said, he has no right to side on their disagreement because he has "not been a parent".
He has no right to choose sides when he has no consideration for the utter desperation they face for him to pick theirs. To pick them.
Every bully is just someone desperate for approval. From peers, from authority, and saddest of all: from parents.
#david nelson analysis#david nelson#motives#character analysis#stephane nelson#heartstopper#alice oseman#trauma representation#very very well done#the child is the villain#unless their villain is present#it's david and stephane it's henry and brenner it's so many more#in one line the scene shifted from him being the villain to him being the victim#because his villain was villainous and his victim had left the room#and for a moment he just looks like a scared little boy

OK, I got it : Telegraph shitshow, anyone?
Oh, what the hell. I had no patience and couldn't picture myself fidgeting in a dull supermarket and ending up by forgetting half of the things on my list.
So, here it is, all of it.
Proof of buying:
Yeah, "between Outlander's seasons nine and 10'. See how accurate the girl who wrote it is? How about a cobbled something to address the real issues at stake, of which there are three (more on this, in my next post)?
LOL? LOL.
Anyway, there goes. Passages in bold are marked by me:
My character struggles with it.”
The Couple Next Door begins on Channel 4 on Monday 27 November at 9pm; stream all episodes from this date

Hello :3 You are now being sentenced to do this entire section: You have been given a chance to play your perfect Chronicle, let's build it! 26. Who is your Storyteller? 27. Where and when is it set? 28. What is your sect? 29. What clan are you going for? 30. Your Coterie is yourself plus four other players. Who are they? (Can be anyone!)
Hi. Thank you for this gift, which overcame me to the extent that I had to have a little nap and a think about it. At first I thought this was meant to be some sort of parasocial thing, like basically "which actual play would you elbow your way into?" and that sort of thing makes me very insecure, but how could it be about my IRL groups? So many of those players are chronically offline! How do I make this Tumblr mutual relevant? How does this section work?
But that's probably overthinking it, so here.
26. Who is your Storyteller?
You know what? For the sake of these questions, which are very player-oriented, I'm giving myself some time off. I shall cede my lofty throne to @biomechanicaltomato, who knows exactly what she's about. We're of a similar vintage as players but she has a different set of priorities, and experience running a kind of game I've never really tried. I'd also really like to be a guest at her table: I've been Tumblr-RPing with some of those people for years now, and it'd be great to interact in real time.
If I'm allowed to be a parasocial weirdo: Josephine McAdam. She has a sense of subtle mischief that I think I'd have fun riffing off, and also I would get to listen to her marvellous, marvellous voice. There is a slight risk that I'd zone out mid session, blinded by the heart eyes, but I'm willing to chance it.
27. Where and when is it set?
Somewhere I'm not already obsessed with, and have never run a game. Not LA, not Glasgow, not London, not Prague, not Constantinople, not Venice. I think I'd like a Victorian Age game, but a specifically American one, set in the Old West, when California was being sold by the yard.
28. What is your sect?
Camarilla. I have never actually run a proper Camarilla game. Plenty of Dark Ages actual feudalism, multiple Sabbat in Victorian Age and the Final Nights, but all my modern games have defaulted to Anarch by player preference. I don't entirely trust myself to run the Cam - its economy of grace and favour, lies and bullshit, rule by fiat and so on, isn't something natural for me to occupy - so I'd like to learn from the best.
29. What clan are you going for?
Hmm. Historically, I've always thought Lasombra antitribu are the Camarilla on hard mode, and I love playing Lasombra. But let's really push myself here: Gangrel. Gangrel are the clan I've never really clicked with, and I think if I spent some time playing one I would have to turn them around and fit them into my head.
30. Your Coterie is yourself plus four other players. Who are they? (Can be anyone!)
I am bringing best friend @gwenynen-bach, because I can rely on her to roll with a grounded, constructive, secretly fucking deranged character and that's a good energy to have. And I'd really like to spend some table time with @silkenred and @lydia-too-late - they put so much thought and care and richness of detail into their characters and it'd be a privilege to play alongside that. And if I can't have a celebrity guest Storyteller, I'd love a celebrity guest player, so let's play my joker and say Josephine McAdam again. In the most non-weird, not-parasocial, good god I don't know how to deal with this kind of fandom way. If not, please to bring saintly partner @newt-n-abbey because why the hell not? Easy to be a wife guy when you have such a great wife.
#vtm#vampire the masquerade#all about Von#thanks for asking!#these took some thinking about but I'm happy with my answers#also Josephine - hi hello yes if you're free Sundays? great. great. see you then. OH GOOD LORD. etcetera.

Tagged by @steeple-sinderby-belles thank for tagging me!! Super excited to do this
Last song i listened to: I'm still your boy by Luke Hemmings
I feel like my music taste is so basic lol and I find that I just listen to the same artists over and over again rather than branching out. I also feel like I listen to more podcasts than music these days.
Favorite color: dark green!!
Currently watching: not really anything, I'm not a huge tv person, again I just like to rewatch my favorites over and over again lmao but the last tv series I watched was the artful dodger which I absolutely loved and highly recommend it's 1850s doctors and heists and a really cute love story and it's getting a season 2!!
Last movie I watched: captain America the first avenger
I was huge into marvel in the 2010s when it was at its peak and lately I've found myself getting back into it. I know it's military propaganda but dammit I love Steve rodgers
Currently reading: I'm about to start A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!
I didn't want to read it when it came out because I have a thing with authors writing prequels when the original work didn't call for it but I should have trusted Suzanne Collins more. I'm excited to get into it!
Sweet/ savory/ spicy: SAVORY!!
Give me all the salt lmao which is funny because I love baking but oh well
Last thing I googled: weather in Glasgow lol
Spurs were posting that it was cold and I was curious to see how cold. It's twenty degrees colder where I'm at so I would love to be there at the moment
Currently obsessed with: making soups probably!
I love making soups and I've been trying to make a bunch this winter. I make my own veggie stock then make soups with that. I think the last one I made was a creamy sausage one but now I have too much soup taking up space in my freezer lol
Currently working on: nothing really??
Just wrapping my Christmas presents and finishing up shopping I guess. Maybe planning what cookies to make this year for Christmas.
This was super fun! Tagging @tenthdocter @todareistodo and @audereestfuckery don't know if you've been tagged already but want to see what you say!!

Inbox Summary 9/29/2023
Hi peeps, so I'm going to try something new. For some of your Asks in my Inbox, instead of answering them individually, I'm going to do a combined summary post of all of them.
I'm doing this because a lot of the questions are about past stuff I've already answered. I don't have time to keep answering the same questions (Search is your friend, my friends), I don't want to take up space on my blog to answer stuff that has already been answered, and the main thing is, I'm TIRED.
I'm in one of my fandom "meh" moods. I get into fandom funks every once in a while, where I'm over it, and don't feel like posting. BUT, I love you guys, and I know the next big scoop is just around the corner. Every time, I say to myself, I'm just going to fandom retire, Cait gets engaged, Sam is seen with a new woman, Cait gets married, Sam is seen with a new woman, I get the scoop AHEAD of time that Cait is pregnant (remember when I posted MONTHS before that someone from Outlander was pregnant? and 'lo and behold, that August, Cait announced she'd had her son), Sam is seen with a new woman, Cait has her baby, etc, etc. So, I don't give up...because I know there's more stuff coming, and also, like I said, I really enjoy my Team here.
So, what I'm going to do is either on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, depending on how busy I am, I'm going to do a weekly summary of answers to some of my Inbox questions. They will be short answers. And for further details, you guys can just Search my blog or Search Google.
I'll still answer some questions individually, but it will depend on the subject, and how busy I am in RL. Please keep sending me questions and DM's. I'll answer them. Some won't be answered as in depth as others, that's all.
So, here we go for this week's round up...in no particular order:
Susie Evans is in Austin with friends.
_
Sam is still in the UK. Cait is in Paris.
_
Sam is expected in New York next week, for the Keepers of the Quaich event ON Cait's birthday, October 4. For those gnashing "why do you think Cait wouldn't go to New York to spend her birthday with Sam?! She could?! They're friends?!" Um, yes, they're friends...but REALITY CHECK: Cait is married to Tony McGill and has a toddler son with him. Logic dictates that Cait and family aren't going to schlep from Europe to New York to be with Sam, who is simply her friend and costar, and NOTHING MORE. Cait will spend her birthday with her husband and son, and she has a TON of friends, she's not going to fly to NY expressly for Sam. Plus, he's BUSY on her birthday, remember? He's going to be at that Keepers of the Quaich event.
_
No, Sam and Sophie Skelton never dated. Sam never posts who he dates (except when he went Instagram official with Mackenzie Mauzy, but that was after 2 years of a committed relationship), and he posted pics with Sophie on a motorcycle at his Glasgow home. If they were secretly dating, he would have been much more secretive about it. I mean, I hope Sam is into some kink, but da/daughter ain't one of them. Who's your daddy? hahaha.
_
By now, we all know Sam's ex, Abbie Salt is fighting some type of cancer. Yes, she hasn't posted in a while. I'm worried about her too. But her sister, Charlotte Salt, has posted, and she posts on her professional design IG accounts as well. If Abbie had taken a turn for the worse, I don't think her sister would be posting. I hope Abbie makes a full recovery, wish her all the best.
_
Yes, I know, Sam's ex, Anna Modler is pregnant and having a baby girl.
_
Thanks for letting me know that two other of Sam's exes, Hannah James and Mackenzie Mauzy recently started following birthing, doula, and parenting accounts on IG. Looks like their next adventure is motherhood. Also wish them all the best.
_
The podcast with that IG influencer that was supposedly going to have some Sam content, as far as I know, there hasn't been any Sam mention. So, that was all smoke and mirrors, trying to get some free advertisement. Nothing to see there.
_
The two blonde, blue-eyed Scottish IG influencers supposedly being linked with Sam. I see no evidence of that. Again, seems to be just smoke and mirrors, and names dropped in my Inbox to see if I would post them or not. Nothing to see there.
_
Asking for a cheat sheet of the women Sam has dated and what do certain initials mean. I've done plenty of posts summarizing the women Sam has dated. Please Search my blog or Search Google. As for initials, I don't use initials, I post full names. So, if you see a woman's initials, match them to the full names I've posted.
_
Cait's dad's funeral. And do I have questions about Sam being there? Um, that's all Extreme Shipper bullshit, lies, spin, deception, and now they've sold it as shipper canon. NO, I don't have any questions because WHO was at Cait's father's funeral is VERY clear. Again, Search what I've posted. There are pic, video of Cait sitting next to her mother, and the "Sam is sitting next to Cait but he's wearing a wig" is her brother. NOT Sam. Tony is sitting in the rows behind, holding baby BalfeMcGill, as are other spouses. NO ONE from Outlander went to Cait's dad's funeral. Please THINK. Cait has a big family and she has a TON of friends, some she has known for YEARS. If anyone was going to go all the way to Ireland for her father's funeral, it would be her immediate and LARGE extended family, all the family's friends in Ireland, and then Cait's close friends. Sam and Outlander people aren't even in the first few rungs of WHO would get invited to the funeral. And yes, that includes, Sam Heughan. Besides, Sam was in Las Vegas during the funeral, and there are lots of posts showing that.
_
I know the TRUTH about Cait and Sam never dating, and Cait being with Tony since 2014. I know this thru verifiable and identifiable sources who directly and personally know Cait, Sam, and Tony. So, there are NO questions for me, because I've known the TRUTH for 9 years. It's that simple.
_
As, for my little frothy pet troll who sends me weekly rants about Sam. You can keep going, but all I do is laugh and laugh at how pathetic you are. What you write doesn't upset me because I'm not personally invested in Sam. I'm really not. I post about him because I get info about him, and people are interested in it. But I don't care one way or the other. My IP tracker tells me where the basement is from where you gnash and froth so desperately. So, go ahead, make my day, but I'm NEVER going to post what you send me. You'll never get that satisfaction. Never. Try me.
Okay, peeps, that's it for the summary. I may do more on Sunday. And like I said, I'll still answer individual questions, depending on what they are. If you ever want to know something from the past, please just Search my blog. If you can't find it there, then go to Google and Search p-redux and names or words you're looking for, and all my past posts will pop up.
Thanks for reading!

Alright, here’s my season 4 spoiler-riddled rant under the cut. You have been warned.
The Good:
- Great character development for Oliver. I like his budding friendship and camaraderie with Charlie. One of the worst things about this show is the endless revolving door of secondary characters (wonder if it doesn’t pay enough), so it was great to have these characters shine this season.
- The flashback episode. I’ve been begging for this since season one. Props to the actress who played Eliza’s mannerisms perfectly. Young William was laying it on thick with his over enunciation in an attempt at a Glasgow accent, but I still found him charming. I think the flashback kiss happened bit too early on in their friendship timeline, but I love that it was Eliza who initiated it. 10/10 execution. Will rewatch 4x.
- William looking longingly at Eliza in every shared scene. It was amped up to 1000 this season and I was living for every minute of it.
- Mysteries were still fun and well written. I enjoyed them.
The Bad:
- Eliza – Her character has stagnated. Instead of letting the character see newfound success this season, the creators reduced her to once again “woman trying to make ends meet running a failing business while navigating sexism”. I hate that it came out at the end that her failure was in large part due to her angrily firing 4 of Nash & Sons staff, making them all quit and sabotaging her own success. What was the point honestly? To end up back at her old office? Sure she has Clarence now, unless he disappears like all the other secondary characters.
- Eliza with William – I understand that their main conflict in pursuing a relationship is her career, and I grasp the magnitude of the fear she has that she’ll have to give it up. But this was the first season where I wondered if Eliza is actually interested in William at all beyond as a friend. She was visibly uncomfortable with every one of his romantic advancements and she low-key just stood there when he kissed her. She also didn’t say she loved him back. It almost made me uncomfortable to watch his confession, which is not what I was expecting after rooting for them for years. Also the audacity to send him generic “my day is going well” friendly letters after he confessed he’s in love with her. Girl please put this man and me out of our misery.
- Nash – Absolute character assassination. Enough said.
At this point, I’m genuinely unsure of the trajectory of the show. I think it might be best if they end it after one more season because dragging it out is just making the writing flaws so much more obvious. Also, Stuart seems to have one foot out the door and if he leaves the show before it’s over the whole thing collapses.
