House Of Memories (42/?)
Obi-Wan Kenobi x Padawan!reader
Warnings: ansgt (the usual) bad decisions (also the usual)
Summary: There's a new mission, and you discuss your uneasiness of it with your dear friend, Anakin Skywalker.
A/n: tbh this is just Anakin fluff... there will be a second update tonight, and you can thank @elmontsmile for that bc she made me
also y'all if you like the story, maybe consider buying me a coffee :)
Words: 2.1k
Tumblr media
The new mission, the one that had been discussed for hours in the council room, in a meeting that overtook your training time by an hour, it was possibly the biggest mission in the temple since the clone wars began.
A team of about thirty Jedi, including several council members were assigned to the task. Those council members by name, were Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Yoda, and of course, the reliable Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. There were several other knights, with their clone battalions at the ready, one being Anakin. Since this mission required as many available hands as they could acquire, you would be standing on the front lines with your Master, ready to face whatever challenges arose.
The droid army, led by Count Dooku and his Sith master Darth Sidious were hiding out on a planet called D-Qar, unawares that the Jedi order obtained their location.
The mission, though overly crowded with experienced Jedi, should be simple enough. The clone battalions would do most of the grunt work, planting explosives, and making sure the perimeter was secure for you all to make a distraction. No lives were to be lost on this endeavor, that was the primary goal, which is why so many reinforcements were required. This battle was one the jedi had hoped would be in and out having had no casualties. It was a bitter hope, as in the back of their minds they knew something had to be in store. Nothing ever went as planned in the order. There were successes, sure, all the time, but often because sacrifices were made for the greater good.
There was an entire Star Cruiser filled with the lot of you, preparing for possibly the most nerve-wracking mission you'd been on since this whole thing began. Everyone was on edge, though they didn't let on, and you, as well as Anakin, were sitting in one of the many hallways, where it was quiet and serene, the only sound being the distant murmur of thrusting engines.
"Do you think we're walking into a trap?" It had been on your mind since you left, and you could only wonder if your former fellow Padawan would agree.
"I think it seems too easy. No one will admit it, but the simplicity of the plan makes them feel anxious, I can sense it in the force, it's surrounding me."
"I can, too. I wonder if the 'no casualties' rule will stand once we reach ground," you began to fidget with your hands, something you'd picked up and hadn't been able to quit, not since you were a child.
"What do you mean?" he turned his head to you, sensing more distress in your outwardly calm being than anywhere else on the ship.
"If it should turn out to be a trap, and if they are prepared for us to come... they've always been one step ahead of us, somehow. Like there's one big puppet master playing both sides, but we got his undominant hand. I can't help but feel like something is wrong about this, and life will be lost."
"I won't let anything happen to you, you know that" he promised, wrapping an arm around your shoulders, your shakiness worrying him more than perhaps you were about this.
"I'm not scared to die," you told him, smirking. You'd brushed with death more times than you could count, and most of those times, Anakin was usually there to prevent things from going too far. On the other hand, there was on person who would much rather sacrifice themself for you than put you in harm's way of any kind. "I'm worried about Obi-Wan. You know him, he's stubborn. He'd run into the face of danger if it meant keeping either of us safe."
"This might sound awful, but I've never really been concerned about him in that way. Maybe I overestimate him, but since I was a kid, he always seemed invincible to me."
You laughed, that was one way to see him. You'd seen more, though, much more, and from each little scar he ever bore, you knew his humanity was evident. He was not a god, nor was he some substantial being in the force. He was a Jedi Master, and a good one, but he was still just a man, and he could bleed. Flesh and blood, that's all he was.... but not to you. To you, he was everything, and if he'd put himself on the line to defend you, you'd be unhappy for the rest of your life. The darkness always found a way to get ahold of you when you were at your lowest.
"He is one of the greatest Jedi I've ever known, as wise as Master Yoda, and Powerful as Master Windu. I suppose I don't wish to think of him as less, because it makes him seem so... mortal."
You understood, and for the most part you could relate. You wanted to see Obi-Wan as such, and believe it, so that your mind would not worry so much, but you couldn't help yourself. He was the love of your life, and anything bad happening to him was something for you to be stressed over.
"I'm often just reminded of what life would be like without him, and though I know his capabilities, I can't help but feel like he wouldn't think twice if it were for the cause of a greater good. He's selfless, he always thinks of others," you turned to him, and he nodded in understanding. The look in your eyes was enough for him to see how much adoration you held for Obi-Wan. Your worries over him, and wishes that he might stay safe, it was what he often thought about Padme, though he was wise enough not to voice those thoughts, in fears that she would become upset. Padme was strong, and courageous, and she made it known.
"If it makes you feel any better, I don't believe he would do anything that would prevent you from being happy. He cares about you more than you could ever comprehend."
"I think I might have an idea," you smirked at him, and he rolled his eyes. The mood became lighter after that, the conversation spiraling into the type of jokes you once would share. It felt like old times.
Anakin was your brother, and you loved him dearly. You never wished for a sibling, or a family member to be connected to, because in your eyes, you'd had one since you were seven years old.
"You can spare me the details."
"You started it."
-
It was a trap, a premeditated, organized, and prepared trap. The battle-droids were in droves of hundreds at the time. You figured they outnumbered the jedi by at least fifty to one. You may have been well trained, and your experience with these stupid clankers went without saying but having thirty of them on your six while trying to scale grounds was horribly challenging.
The Clone Troopers were trying to fend off as many as they could but given that most of them were infiltrating the base, that left few squadrons to be of service in the distraction portion of this mission. Two Jedi had lost their lives today, and you knew that the clone casualties had probably outnumbered that by ten times. No more lives, no more. You followed after Anakin, who was leading the retreating Jedi into a tunnel that would wind into the mountain, coming out the other side where your transports were. Anakin was a born leader, you could tell by his composure in rough circumstances, his calmness in the middle of a massive storm.
"Everybody in," he yelled out, guarding the entrance so that there was no chance a droid slipped in without him knowing about it.
You scanned the area, staying on the offense for as long as you could. If you switched to a more defensive form of combat, it meant you felt too overwhelmed to make any attacks, only blocking that which you could. There were very few Jedi left outside the tunnel, being you, Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and of course, the powerhouse himself, Master Windu.
He was at the very front lines, before all of you, and Obi-Wan was bringing up his rear.
"Master Kenobi, get your Padawan out of here," Mace Windu shouted over the chaos, but Obi-Wan would not leave the man to fend for himself. Yoda had made the wise choice to accept temporary defeat, heading over by Anakin to near the tunnel. He knew that fighting for a lost cause, however stoic and valiant, would only end in more loss. This was something he stood by and hoped the others would come to their senses and acknowledge as well.
"What about you?" he refused to leave a man behind. No matter their differences, they were Jedi, bound as allies by the order, and would not forsake the other to die like this. Obi-Wan was honorable, almost to a fault.
"I will be right behind you, now go!"
Kenobi used a bout of the force to push away an oncoming group of droids, which gave him a few seconds of a head start to run in your direction. You hadn't been too far from the tunnel, but he knew you weren't leaving without him. He had to snap out of his head when he first saw you. Five days out of the infirmary after being shot twice and look at you now. You were so elegant to behold. Your form of combat was so elegant, Makashi, form two... there were hints and a few subtle moves that reflected that of his own form, from what he'd taught you, you learned to combine the forms into one of your own, and it was beautiful. He had to rid himself of the thoughts, and save them for later, because this wasn't the time to be admiring you, although you deserved to be.
He rushed beside you, helping to fend off the remaining droids in your area before placing a hand at the small of your back and rushing you towards the tunnel. You looked back at Mace Windu, the way he backed up slowly, but gave you all time to escape.
Once you were in the tunnel, Anakin followed, leaving just one Jedi on the battlefield. When you were fully inside the cavernous stretches, the pathway narrow, you heard an explosion in the distance. They did it, the clones had accomplished their mission. Now it was time for you to complete yours. No more lives lost, no more.
As Mace hurried himself into the tunnel, the rocky ceiling above you began to shake. Everyone was running now, knowing that this whole location was probably becoming unstable for the blasts of the base.
The exit could be seen, and Anakin was the first one out, waiting at the opening for the rest of you to follow. Both you and Obi-Wan made it out of the cave at the same time, but upon hearing a rocky stalagmite falling from the tunnel's ceiling, you turned back. Mace Windu was trapped, with his leg rendered useless beneath the stone. He tried to lift it using the force, but was unsuccessful, probably due to the pain.
The opening of the cavern was closing in, and the rocks would enclose on him at any second, so you ran back, hearing the protesting cries of Obi-Wan behind you.
"Don't go," he tried to grab your arm, but you pushed him back, using a rush of invisible force, and kept running. You dropped to your back leg and slid under the falling debris, hearing the yells of your master become muffled as you let the darkness of the cold wet cave surround you.

Ramshackle Dorm Among us Headcanons
Overall headcanon: when ramshackle members play imposters it's one of the few time they are truly darn near evil
Tumblr media
(Again i have to thank @shaine26 for this amazing art!)
Zoroaster:
As a crewmate: he'll do tasks like normal but he really gets into it during debates, like he becomes Batman almost. Laying traps in words, and grilling people as best he can. Basically he is a troll, but someone who is looking for any sign of someone sus. Basically the Sherlock of the group who often times winds up getting killed first or everyone thinks they're sus instead.
Someone: he's asking too many questions, seems Sus to me
As an imposter: he is annoying, mostly because He's that player that winds up flipping the suspicion on you, and then laughing maniacally as they pick people off. He is great at throwing a wrench into discussions, tripping people up and casting or leading people into blaming someone else. Puppet master imposter pretty much
Though if it's a game outside the ramshackle dorm, an achilles to him is Riddle. Those two often wind up exposing the other through teases or fights, and it's hilarious. Plus since they know the other's quirks so well they can take aim at the other without a doubt.
It wouldn't surprise me if Riddle makes a rule where Zoro can only speak for a few seconds. Mostly to mess with him, and partly to limit him.
Regis:
Tumblr media
As Crew-mate: Regis is a task Blitzer, he wants to finish his tasks as fast as possible and herd back into the group. Safer that way, but this also leaves him exposed a lot. In discussions, he often gets mistaken for the imposter way too much, his stuttering and already skittish nature makes him seem really sus. Especially if they grill him hard. Even though he isn't the killer his stutter is too sus.
As Imposter: Weirdly enough, as an imposter, it's like he inverts. He becomes a straight lion, patiently waiting and preparing to pounce on a target, tries to memorize everyone's route and attacks the most vulnerable person. Since its a digital experience he really can break past his skittishness. Though for interrogations, he's not so good, when hes put of hunting, he'll still stutter like normal
Theodore:
Tumblr media
As a Crew-mate: Theodore is that person who'll stick to someone like glue, despite their tasks the boy just sticks to the whole crew, which often leaves him on the chopping block for the imposter cause somehow they always stick to the imposter in some way. Though it's useful for finding out the first imposter, bad for Theo good for everyone else. If he manages to live he will yell and defend everyone the most. Spiking everyone's headphones.
As an imposter: freaking vent, ninja, he knows every vent, how to attack from them, and then probably self reports, putting on the water works like how could someone hurt their friend, meanwhile behind the mute, he is cackling so hard you'd think the wicked witch returned
Dorothy:
Tumblr media
As a Crew-mate: he's the guard dog of the group, always watching somebody with a trigger finger for when report pops up. He'll do his tasks (like the dorm mom he is) but he is always looking for one sus slip up. Amd of he sees it, oh you know he's sprinting to emergency meeting. And speaking of a meeting, he's the crew mate who is always throwing out accusations or getting riled up.
As an imposter: he's not successful, if he does kill someone he's not that good at lying and if he's accused he's too easily rilled up making him seem even more sus. Though on other occasions he may challenge his victim to a duel, can they dodge him fast enough of will be get them. Which if he loses he just revealed himself to someone.
Fiyero:
Tumblr media
As a Crew-mate: Fiyero is honestly pretty lazy with his tasks, he does them but it's pretty slow. He's just vibing no biggie, but for interrogations, that's also strange since he's so chill he'll often just listen in without saying much. Making himself sus. Cause
Group:why haven't we heard from Fiyero in so long. He's probably the imposter!
Fiyero: huh-wait, no I'm not don't wo- Fiyero was ejected
As an imposter: he's definitely the trapper kind, waiting in rooms where there's an emergency happening, and right before you finish fixing the problem he's there in the shadows, killing you before you knew what was happening. Though his favorite move is sabotaging oxygen, when everyone scrambles to get it, he's there with kills or sabotages ready to slow everyone down until the time runs out
Solon:
Tumblr media
As a crew-mate: Solon as a crew-mate is one of the two people in the dorm that keeps everyone in order during the negotiations. He is one half of the order back bone for discussion, he's that player that hears everyone out and keeps the team focused on the objective. Though with him, hes also the most compassionate and understanding, which leaves him vulnerable to deception and manipulation by the imposters.
As an imposter: He usually doesn't get imposter, rng hates him that dang much, he's always the crew-mate. Often behind the mute he's so close to shouting about how come I'm never an imposter why does RNG hate me
Yuu:
Tumblr media
Last but not least we come to Mickey mouse, the perfect of Ramshackle
As a crew-mate: as alluded to earlier Yuu is the most calming presence during an interrogation like Solon, they are also the most efficient in tasks, literally thinking of ways to do the most effective and useful path to do tasks to avoid being killed. Though much like their namesake, if they are cornered by the imposter Yuu is the best at giving them the slip, ducking and sprinting around every corner to avoid the imposter. But with being able to keep everyone together Yuu will often be double teamed by the imposters and killed off.
As an imposter: Yuu is straight evil as an imposter, they're freaking scary efficient at killing people and striking when they're at their safest, often using the vents or shadows to hide. They are also one of the best liars of the group, often using their trustworthiness and ability to keep everyone running efficiently against the group. And then swinging their support against someone else who isn't the killer
(What's next is a random scenario me and a friend discussed)
First few seconds of dorm leaders playing among us
Zoroaster: I vote we kick Azul out each round
Azul: e-excuse me?
Zoroaster: I mean given his track recprd and with how he can lie, it makes sense
Azul: oh, you wound me Zoroaster, i am simply here to play a game, although. You are not a saint yourself, you've lied before as well
Zoroaster: yeh, i did, but that was for personal reasons, not a game
After a minute of debate
Riddle: enough! Here's what I think may end this argument, at the start of each game...
Zoroaster: Riddle, you wouldn't
Riddle: we eliminate them both
You can just see riddle smirking through a screen while Zoroaster's just there like you bitch
Zoroaster: Riddle, you little
Leona: heh, not a bad idea for a herbivore, im up for it
Vil: fufu as am I
Kalim: can't they both just play, don't ya think that woukd be more fun?
Everyone ignores kalim
Idia: 👍
Zoroaster just trolls riddle while he's eliminated, like say he manages to distract him enough to get killed by the imposter
While riddle's escaping he just gets a ping on his phone, and all it says is shrimp

Secret Santa Fanfic
@hunny-pp This is for your request in Secret Santa for this year. I hope this is great. Merry Christmas to you and Merry Christmas to everyone else. AAAA My first fanfic to be posted on Tumblr :')
Carnival Competition
Rating: K
Modern AU
Summary: Shingen and Kenshin are going to Osaka carnival to see who can win the most games at the carnival.
The carnival's in town as everyone from all over the land of the rising sun go to one of the most underrated festivals in the land; Osaka Carnival. The fun games, great food, and amazing rides that it had was all in good fun for everyone to enjoy. Once Shingen heard for himself that the carnival was going to be in town tomorrow, he just had to call Kenshin to join him for the carnival. He was disappointed that he didn't show up last year, then again they weren't dating at the time. Maybe this year would go in his favor? He and Kenshin could at least compete in the games, kinda like a battlefield? Shingen was in Osaka for a quick vacation and the carnival would be the top of the cake. With that in mind, Shingen picked up the phone and began to text to Kenshin.
Shingen: My stoic dragon "nemesis", are you still awake?
Kenshin was comfortable on his futon at his Castle, just starting to head off to bed and sending a quick prayer to Bishamonten to thank the god of war for allowing him the pleasures of life. There was wine, business, and finally Shingen. Shingen was probably one of the most worthy friend and business partner he could ask for in this life. Although he didn't show much happiness on his stoic face, his actions show that he cares for him, especially when he accepted to be Shingen’s boyfriend. Speaking of Shingen… 'Bing Bing'. Kenshin heard his phone go off. "It is almost time to go to bed… Who's texting me?" He said, visibly annoyed. He picked up his phone and once he saw the message, he softened a little bit. It was Shingen.
Kenshin: Tiger of Kai, my "nemesis", I was about to go to bed, but I can talk for a bit.
Shingen gave a good-natured chuckle at Kenshin's message sent a couple of minutes later. Of course he forgot that Kenshin would be getting to bed around this time.
Shingen: Sorry about that, I was hoping maybe this year we can go to the carnival together. Think of it as a date.
"A date?" He mouthed to himself. When was the last time they had a date together? It had been a while. They were both taking it slowly so they wouldn't be discovered and to have it at a carnival, that everyone was going to…
Kenshin: Are you sure you want me to go?
Shingen was not giving up on making him go to the carnival. They were always competitive when it came to the games. A lightbulb went off in his head. He can use the games as an excuse for him to go.
Shingen: I bet I can win a lot more games than you. Don't worry I'll give you some prizes :)
Shingen always knew how to push Kenshin's competitiveness button. They both were like strategists in their own businesses but eventually one must come on top eventually. He really now was interested in this carnival but he would conceal his intentions to him.
Kenshin: It is tempting to go to the festival to have a friendly competition. Go have fun. Good night "nemesis"
Shingen shrugged at his message. At least he tried to convince him to go. At the back of his head, he did feel that Kenshin would come here. He just had that hunch.
Shingen: Good night. Don't have a rough night.
As soon as he got Shingen’s message, Kenshin got dressed again, called his limo driver, and took a blanket. He would now begin to surprise Shingen to the festival date. "Shingen, let's see who wins the most games." he thought with confidence. They always liked competitive plays over each other. He just thought of what kind of games would be there to play as the limo left with him inside, going to Osaka, as he drifted to sleep.
~The next morning- 8 AM~
Shingen saw the shining sun glimmer in the curtains as morning came and he was just starting to wake up from the tiger's slumber. This short bald man yawned as he sat up in the bed, slowly getting his act together. It was also very hot today when the festival and vacation was in the summer. He could only imagine what the south had to deal with like the Shimazu in the summer. After 10 minutes of just sitting there, he finally got up to brighten the room. The curtains opened and Shingen shielded his eyes from the brightness a bit. Once it got adjusted, he finally saw a limo in front of the hotel. It had the Uesugi symbol on the side and the limo was white. He could see Kenshin come out the doors. "Hahaha, I knew Kenshin would be here!" Shingen said to himself. He put on a tiger print t-shirt with some khaki shorts and some sandals.
Kenshin walked out of the limo with a nice short sleeved buttoned white shirt with white pants with some nice black loafers. He was casually sleeping the whole ride so he would be well rested for today. Carnivals are mostly energy sucking. The driver let him know he's here so he doesn't have to rest during the day. "Great Bishamonten, please give me strength to have fun today and beat Shingen in a whole bunch of games." He prayed. They both met in the lobby and gave a hug. "Haha, I knew you would come. So are you ready for the carnival?" Shingen asked. Kenshin gave a small smile and nodded. "I am. Looking at the clock means that it had just started." Said Kenshin as he looked at the clock which read 9:00A.M.
Looking out at the carnival laid out before them, it was full of life and high fun energy. Many games, food stands and other attractions can be seen before them. People were walking around them full of laughter and friendly talk. You can't really hear what they had to say because there were so many people and they were loud. Shingen and Kenshin simply walked side by side together holding pinkies looking out at what games they should play.
The first game they saw was kinda strange with a huge log and there were lines in the ground. Musashi was actually the one hosting that game. "Hey you two! Do you want to try the log toss? 1 yen to try it and the rules are clearly read on the sign." He managed to get Shingen and Kenshin's attention. "You want to have a go Kenshin?" Asked Shingen. "Sure" said Kenshin blatantly.
They both walk up to the wooden sign. It was well made with no chances that anyone can get a splinter and it looked really smooth for writing on as shown in words that are painted on. It says the following:
Log toss:
'You throw a log as far as you can. This can be played for competition. If you are solo, you win a prize no matter what. If you are against each other, then the winner gets a prize.'
Shingen was known to do some lifting at the gym sometimes, Kenshin watched him while he worked so he knew as well. They've decided to do the competition version. The prizes included stuffed animals, posters and pins. Shingen went first as he went and picked it up by the sides then he spinned around a few times getting ready for the wind up. He threw it up and away pretty far and it landed with a thud and the ground shaked a bit. Musashi ran to where the log went with a measuring tape and a flag. "150 feet-1st person!" Musashi announced. Kenshin smiled at Shingen’s impressive performance. It was as expected for him as was a worthy challenge for Kenshin to try to beat.
"You're next Kenshin." Shingen said as he stood back with a smirk, a smirk that Kenshin loved a lot. "I have practiced a bit in lifting." Kenshin remarked as he picked up the log. He winded up by standing back a bit then using the force that he gathered to launch the log forward as he stepped forward. It flew not as high as Shingen did but it definitely was going far. There was a thud in the distance and Musashi was running fast with the other marker. "Not bad! It's about… 160 feet. The second person wins!" Musashi announced happily as he went to pick out a prize. Kenshin kissed Shingen on the forehead proud of his own victory. "Well done 'nemesis'." Shingen said, congratulating him. Musashi gave Kenshin a big tiger plush. 'It would be perfect for Shingen.' Kenshin thought.
Many hours go by with more prizes, food, the times they went through a funhouse and a haunted house in a succession while holding many little toys, pins, posters, more stuffed animals. It was a lot to carry for a long time, then again they had played lots of games. Games were ring toss, balloon pop, guess what's approximately in the jar, bumper cars, test your strength, and many other games.
It was the last few minutes of the carnival to be open for the day. There was one more game they wanted to try for a magnificent dragon plush. Shingen was immediately reminded of Kenshin when he saw that plush. "Kenshin! Before we go let's try this game!" They both look at the bucket of water with ducks floating right along. The sign read the following:
Lucky Duck:
'You hook a duck on the hook stick provided to you. Get a star duck (which the star is on the bottom) to win any prize you want.'
"This game sounds simple and quick." Kenshin remarked. "You can do this game." Said Kenshin as he gave the game owner 1 yen to play the game.
Shingen concentrated on the pond itself like a fire trying to get hotter by the minute. Any of those ducks could have a star on the bottom and any number of the ducks could have stars. They all looked the same. All he could do would be to guess which one had the star and which ones didn't. He took the hook stick on the ground and just went for it, eyes closed. When he opened them again, he looked underneath the duck and a gold star was at the bottom. He won the game and the dragon. "This is great!" thought Shingen as he got the dragon in his hands.
As Shingen turned he saw Kenshin take the tiger plush out of the mass of prizes they won and handed it out like it was a gift for him. Shingen saw a slight blush on Kenshin's stoic face. "So umm… this is for you 'nemesis'." Kenshin said in a softer voice than usual. Shingen laughed out of kindness a little, knowing that Kenshin wasn't used to the sometimes sweet moments of their relationship. "Thank you 'nemesis'. In return, I will give you this dragon I just won."  Shingen blushed a little bit as he received the tiger and Kenshin received the dragon. They soon divided all of the prizes in between them. Shingen’s vacation would go on and Kenshin would join in for the last week that Shingen had left.

P.S. as a bonus I give you some headcanons of the pairing on google slides that I made myself. This helped me create the fic lol.
