c!tubbo shouldn’t kill anyone.
tubbo has never been an offensive person. he’s never taken anyone’s canon life, and has always preferred talking things out instead of going in guns blazing. take the pit confrontation in pogtopia, for example. despite it being his life that was the source of the argument, he was the one pleading it to stop the most. he didn’t want anyone to fight, he didn’t want any blood to spill, he just wanted everyone to get along again. tubbo is a strategist before all else, and will do everything in his power to avoid conflict, if possible. (the butcher army was different, as he was actively pressured into it, and felt as if his power would be undermined otherwise. he has since moved on past that and realized the mistakes that were made.)
people keep saying that he should be the one to kill sam, dream, techno, etc, and while i’m not arguing that he doesn’t deserve “the right”, but that it’d be extremely against his characterization to kill someone over bad blood. tubbo doesn’t necessarily hold grudges, per se. he’s not like techno, who will “hurt those that hurt him a hundred times over” or whatever. he doesn’t forget, and depending on the person, he doesn’t fully forgive, but he doesn’t actively go out of his way to pursue and continue the cycle of revenge. he acts to protect himself and his loved one first, with physical combat being the last thing on his list as a last-resort. just because people have wronged tubbo in the past, or others that tubbo cares for, doesn’t mean he’ll attack. his first course of action is to check if they’re okay, and how they can avoid ever having something like that happen again. most of the time, the only reason the perpetrator in the equation is ever even brought up is how to avoid and protect if a future attack is to happen. it’s never revenge. it’s defense.
the only time tubbo would ever kill was if there was no other choice. if it was the only choice he had to protect his loved ones, and even then, he wouldn’t do so without trying to talk it out first. it would have to be something he has no choice over—kill or be killed. he wouldn’t kill to enact revenge on what they’ve done to him or the people he cares about. tubbo doesn’t get blinded by rage, in fact, when faced with fight or flight, he tends to freeze. unless he’s placed under exceedingly dire circumstances, tubbo would not and could not bring himself to take a life.
even the nukes were a defensive strategy. he didn’t invent them to take out dream. he invented them so, if dream were to threaten him or any of his friends again, he could bring them up—not to use, but to create a stalemate. dream wouldn’t attack due to fear of tubbo retaliating, creating a cold war. the nukes were never meant to be used, nor did tubbo want to use them (as a weapon, at the least). when he brought back the program after retiring it, he stuck to the same ideology—they were returning so he could protect michael and ranboo, not so he could enact vengeance or war. even the dreamon hunters, who have hunter in their name, weren’t about killing. they were about protecting the server by exorcising dreamons from the citizens. since day one, tubbo has been all about protection and safety. yes, he’s fought before, and yes, he’s been in wars, but in desperate times, even a shield must be used as a weapon. for tubbo’s current characterization, it would make no sense for him to take another’s canon life, as “rewarding” and “cathartic” as it may be at first glance
