ive been reading a bunch of angsty forces fanfics and i had a silly idea of sonic and knuckles both wanting to comfort each other because they both went through a lot, but they both have the mindset of 'i have to be strong for him so he can cry about it' at the same time so they just have like, the most stone faced, emotionless hug and then realize it is not working, maybe it isn't needed then, and later they both cry about it by themselves
